A gem of a photographer

Being a premiere wedding and event venue we have worked with so many photographers. I can safely say that Lisa stands out among the majority! She is a gem and so talented. Her use of light, venue space, and the people them self are extraordinary. She is a great communicator, encourager, and is able to infuse such an incredible amount of love and quality into the photos she captures. We only work with the best and she is the BEST! Very professional and fun! You will feel like your are best friends with her by the end of the day! If you want your big day to be captured in the most illuminating and beautiful way possible we highly recommend her services!

When I started planning my wedding, I knew two things I would NOT skimp on- and that was our wedding photographer and street tacos. After all, photography is really the only tangible thing you have after the wedding is over to look back at all of your memories. And tacos- self explanatory. Anyway- I started my search for our photographer and when I came accross Lisa's work I felt like I could already envision my gorgeous photos. When I met with her, I was sold. Lisa was relatable, professional and she, too, loved tacos. I am so happy I picked Lisa to photograph our perfect day. I look back at our photos daily and I fall in love all over again. Sometimes I just sit there and cry when I look at them, because they are so beautiful. My husband might not be as "emotionally in tune" as I am but he has even cried while looking at them! I can't reccommend Lisa enough!!!!!!

I can't compliment and rave enough. Lisa arrived early, stayed late, and was completely phenomenal. She accommodated our small ceremony, provided the most amazing wedding photos, and is just an all-around amazing person. I would recommend Lisa for any photography needs. She has a vision while she's shooting and brings it to life in her photos. Her work is unique and beautiful.

Lisa was my second shooter for my wedding and she was absolutely amazing! Her and Sarah (my main shooter) were so flexible and had amazing ideas for photos! They were both great to work with and did an awesome job getting exactly what I wanted :)

I can't say enough about the great experience I had with Lisa! I used her for boudoir photos for a surprise for my husband. She was easy to stay in touch with and was flexible in making the shoot fit my tastes and style. Lisa made me feel so comfortable and was great at directing poses in a flow that felt natural and easy. Her eye for angles and light was extraordinary. My proofs came back for me to look at super quickly and were amazing. Most looked like they'd already been retouched already even though she hadn't altered a thing yet! I wish I'd hired her my wedding as well. Book Lisa for your photography and you won't be disappointed!

My advice to brides is to book her and well in advance! IMHO she is the BEST this town (Jax and St Augustine) has to offer. She exudes professionalism and was almost like a wedding fairy godmother or angel for us! I wish I could give her more then 5 stars!

Amazing photos!!! I was so happy with wedding photos from Lisa and her team. We used her for our engagement photos, boudoir photos and wedding day. Very impressed with the shots she captured!

We actually had our wedding done by another photographer and were so disappointed. I went to my best friend crying and she suggested Lisa to do a rock the dress session. I didn't want too at first because it wasn't our *real wedding* but my husband knew how upset I was and booked her for a rock the dress bridal shoot.
The pictures lisa took were amazing and like night and day from our wedding photos. I'm so happy that I have pictures where I feel beautiful in my dress. I obviously wish we would have booked her for our wedding but you live and learn. We thought saving money on a photographer for our wedding would be a good idea but it was the worst. Our advice is to book lisa for your wedding day. She is a little more pricier then the budget photographers but trust me when I say that your wedding photographer is not something to be cheap about! We love our rock the dress pictures and those are the ones we display in our home. Lisa is the BEST

Working with Lisa Silva Photography was by far the best decision we could have made! James and I got engaged in 2011 and one of the first things we wanted to do was have some engagement photos taken. James and I live in Chicago but we really didn't want to have our pictures done in the city since that's what every other couple we know had done. We wanted to do something different so we decided to take a vacation down to Florida and find ourselves a local photographer. That's where our wonderful journey with Lisa started.

She was absolutely delightful to work with! She took the time to get to know us and asked all the important questions to understand who we were as a couple. I was nervous about taking professional photos because I had never done it before and I was worried about looking awkward or uncomfortable.. I also didn't want our pictures to look too photo-shopped or fake. I expressed my concerns with Lisa and she did her best to make us both feel relaxed and comfortable. The engagement shoot turned out to be a lot of fun and she has some wonderful ideas for us! When we received the photos from her a few days later we were so impressed with how beautiful they were that we decided to book her for our wedding.

James and I got married in Lake Geneva, WI on September 6, 2013 and we are so grateful that we had Lisa capture our big day. Our wedding party and our guest adored her as well. She was very professional! Lisa is an amazing person and a truly gifted individual. She has an great eye for detail and she didn't miss a single important moment. Our wedding pictures are stunning! I cannot begin to tell you how many times I've had people say to me, “Wow! You had an amazing photographer, your pictures are beautiful!”
I highly recommend Lisa Silva Photography. It's one of the best decisions you could make for your big day!

We loved working with Lisa. She did both our engagement photos and wedding photos. She was incredibly flexible, considering we wanted our engagement photos to be taken in the Cascade and Coastal Mountain ranges out in Oregon. She has a keen eye for design and imagination when it comes to photography as we had the most enchanting and whimsical photos from both our wedding and engagement. One of my favorite things about her is her ability to be unconventional and willing to take a risky shot. When you think of wedding photos you think of the same poses that you see in all wedding photos. Well not ours.. We had breath taking photos and amazing candid shots that went well above and beyond capturing the moment. One of our wedding photos made its way into a local magazine. I can't rave enough about Lisa, she was great to work with, very flexible, creative, and affordable. 10 thumbs up.

From the moment we met with Lisa Silva we knew she was the photographer for us. We chose her based on her reputation for professionalism and talent but we fell in love with her for her passion for what she does. Lisa is truly an artist and we have gained a new photographer (and friend!) for life!

Lisa was a fabulous photographer to capture every moment of our special day! She was so friendly & personable from the get go I quickly felt like we had known eachother for years. I had her picked as my wedding photographer YEARS before I was even engaged. Her photos speak for themselves. Her personality is lovely and makes the sessions feel easy. We both felt 100% comfortable working with her and LOVE everything she's done for us. The quality of Lisa's photography is absolutely outstanding! Believe me, you want her at your wedding.

We could not be happier with our choice of a photographer! Lisa made us feel really comfortable and got along great with our guests. She was fun and personable and when received our album we were blown away!
We love her so much that we are bringing her with us to Iceland to shoot our "trash the dress" as we celebrate our anniversary next year!

I was amazed by Lisa's work. Not only was she dedicated and detail oriented while preparing , she also brought these traits to the day of which resulted in the most gorgeous outcome! Lisa is so sweet, down-to-earth and truly believes in capturing the special moments. I’ll be the first to admit that I’m extremely picky and may have been a bit of a “bridezilla” when it came to planning my wedding.  I felt like nobody could see my vision or what I wanted for my day.  It was really frustrating.
I must have talked to a dozen photographers and none seemed quite right.  When I met Lisa we clicked instantly.  She was warm and friendly and helped me understand that I wasn’t a bridezilla and all brides have pre-wedding anxiety like this.  Not only that but she finally “got me”  She was also able to help me better communicate to my other vendors what was inside my head and I’m so grateful!
On my wedding day Lisa and her assistant were fantastic.  it was over in the blink of an eye but we will always have these gorgeous pictures to look back on and remember it by.  Our album is stunning and we have her pictures all over our house.
I have recommended her to everyone and anyone since then and she has not disappointed.  Lisa’s shot a few of my friends weddings and they all turned out beautifully!   She’s also traveled to different states to shoot some of them and I think that and her dedication is something to be admired and rare these days.
I strongly recommend Lisa to any bride looking for a photographer.  We are so thankful to have found her!!!

Lisa has been our family photographer for about 5 years! And she is the best!! From wedding to babies she has been so amazing and on the day of our wedding, and on the day of our reception (we had to post pone the reception due to family matters) Lisa helped us with so much on both days not only as a photographer but as a friend, she's more like part of the family!!! Lisa is very detail orientated and the pictures turned out flawless!

My advice is to book her and well in advance too! Lisa is the best!! We hired her for our engagement shoot and our wedding! Lisa is extremely professional and has an exquisite eye for details! She is so flexible, open for suggestions, and willing to collaborate with clients to make sure she shares your vision of your special day to ensure its executed perfectly!!

Where to begin.... Lisa is absolutely incredible! Choosing a boudoir photographer was not an easy task for me, but from the moment I first spoke to Lisa I knew she was perfect and the one I was looking for! She worked with the vision I was going for and made it even better than I could have imagined. She gave me all the time and encouragement I needed. I felt completely comfortable with her, it was like hanging out with a friend. The best part of it all is my pictures turned out AMAZING, I never thought they would look that good, Lisa is truly an artist. I have many friends who have done boudoir shoots and they all agree that Lisa does the best shoots we've seen. I am so grateful to have found her!

Lisa has such an AMAZING eye it's unreal! She is able to capture the most incredible moments on film, I was blown away when I saw our engagement and wedding photos. They all look like they belong in a magazine. I will be asking her to photograph all our future important dates and events! The highest recommendations possible for Lisa (plus she is just a lovely person).

Lisa has captured so many of our important life events: engagement, wedding, rock the dress, new home, maternity, birth story, and baby's 1 year. All of her photos are seriously amazing and her attention to detail is incredible. She is so flexible with scheduling and no matter how many crazy ideas I throw at her, she always obliges while also adding her own creative touch. We have found a lifetime photographer and we continue to be amazed by her pictures each time we do a new shoot. I honestly cannot adequately put into words how impressed we are by Lisa Silva Photography!

Lisa photographed our wedding, engagement, and my bridals all flawlessly! I'm a very self conscious person and she made me feel so beautiful and confident. My husband does not particularly enjoy getting his pictures made but Lisa has a way of being friendly and interactive that put the guys totally at ease... They looked so handsome in their pictures.
Lisa and her assistant Sarah were so much fun to be around and our friends and family loved them! When we received our pictures I cried. Booking with Lisa Silva was hands down the best decision I made for our wedding. Other vendors disappointed but she did not. Like I said, we knew from the beginning that we had to have her as our photographer. She will always hold a special place in our hearts!

My fiancé and I have been shooting with Lisa since I was pregnant with our daughter. We have loved the outcome of every shoot and I'm thrilled to have her capture our big day!
Lisa makes us feel comfortable in front of the camera and makes the experience fun by keeping it light and casual and cracking jokes to keep us laughing. I'm in love with our shoots that we have done and cannot wait for my wedding and rock the dress!

My wedding was very last minute, in fact you could call it a 'planned' elopement. I was really afraid that due to the spontaneous nature of my husband and I, we would have to settle for whomever we could find that was available for all of our vendor needs. I reached out to Lisa anyway, several of my friends had booked her previously and I was truly amazed by her talents and the images she produced. She responded with almost no time passing, and my jaw hit the floor. 'No problem at all!' she stated, 'I happen to have an opening, let's do this!' I couldn't believe it! I WAS GOING TO HAVE MY TOP CHOICE IN PHOTOGRAPHERS! Within a week, I had a preview of the happiest day of my life. I could not be happier with the way Lisa performs, and the images she was able to produce. Anytime I tried to contact her, she was there. Her rates were lower than I expected, but I easily would've paid double! Memories like that are priceless! Even with her demanding schedule, she never gave a hint of feeling rushed. Her professionalism and calm demeanor helped me exponentially on the day of my ceremony and my husband and I plan to retain her from this point on for any photography services we require in the future. Which reminds me, Christmas is coming!
