I cannot recommend Lisa enough. I recently proposed to my now fiance and was struggling to find a photographer to capture the special day. Others were very expensive or didn't really understand what I was looking for. But then I came across Lisa's website and her pictures were beautiful. I reached out and she got back to me immediately to schedule a preliminary call. I knew she was the perfect photographer from the first call. Her attention to detail is exactly what I was looking for, including the lighting, positioning, attire, hair, where phones should be, bags, umbrellas. She has thought of everything. Her and her assistant were incredible the day of, allowing my fiance and I to have our moment organically while still capturing every bit of it. Then the photos after came out incredible too. Most importantly, Lisa made my fiance as comfortable as could be and knew exactly what she wanted. Lisa by and far exceeded expectations. -

INCREDIBLE photos for my surprise engagement!!!
My fiance and I had the pleasure of having Lisa photograph our proposal and we could not be happier!!! She worked closely with my fiance to iron out the details of the surprise proposal and even got to the location early to scout the best spot. When the spot they had originally agreed on was too crowded for what he had envisioned as a private moment, she found somewhere new and directed him to a gorgeous cherry blossom tree. Lisa and her assistant Frank were so kind and celebratory of our engagement and we spent about 2 hours walking around Planting Fields Arboretum getting beautiful photos. She made us both feel very comfortable on camera and interacting with each other while she shot. The sneak peek photos came promptly and she selected 30 wonderful options for us to post on social media- everyone in our lives were FLOORED with how stunning the pictures were. We got the full gallery a few weeks later (earlier than expected!) and every shot is truly stunning. Lisa perfectly captured the best day of our lives so far and we could not be more grateful. -

Professional and personable

Amazing from start to finish!
We booked Lisa before we booked our venue, before I bought my dress, and pretty much before any other major detail that went into the wedding planning other than picking the date. We had seen some of her images from a wedding at Old Field Vineyard and they just captured the emotion of the event so perfectly that we knew she was exactly who we would want for our wedding. She absolutely did not disappoint.
From our first phone call she was professional and delivered exactly as promised. The day of, she was very organized and good at wrangling even the most challenging participants, which I can imagine would be extremely helpful with larger groups. When it came time to do our album, she even sent us video of samples over and over again, never growing impatient. We can not recommend her enough. She is absolutely the best and we love, love, love our wedding photos!

I LOVED working with Lisa for our wedding. I was so impressed by how diligent, thoughtful, and responsive she was throughout the entire process. She provided a detailed questionnaire to consider, worked with our venue's timeline, and was timely and considerate. She was also kind and sensitive as we were dealing with a family health matter that affected the wedding. But most of all: the photos are stunning!!! Everyone loves them (especially us)! Her assistant, Frank, was also helpful and wonderful to work with. I can't recommend Lisa enough! -

My husband and I could not have been happier with our choice of Lisa for our wedding photographer! We had a small wedding at the town hall, and Lisa perfectly captured the intimacy of our ceremony. She also recommended a beautiful place nearby the town hall for us to take pictures at beforehand.
All of the photos came out beautifully and we will cherish them forever. We also purchased a gorgeous wedding album from Lisa and love the layout and overall look of the album so much. We would recommend Lisa to anyone looking for a detail-oriented, fun photographer to capture their special day! Thank you for everything Lisa :) -

Where do I even begin with how incredible Lisa is? I first met her 3 years ago when she did my best friend’s wedding. She was a wonderful person to work with and I knew we would have her for ours. Fast forward 2 years and we had to hire her. She did our engagement photos at our favorite vineyard in CT that had a lot of meaning to us, and it was a complete dream. We just got married on September 30th at the Heritage and it was everything we prayed for. I have never seen a photographer with such talent who pays attention to so much detail. Every picture she takes is thought out and taken with such intention. She made sure to get all of the shots that we told her were so meaningful on our list and kept our timeline for the day on track. She is also just one of the most incredible humans we have ever met and we just love her. If you want unforgettable pictures capturing the most memorable day of your life, you must hire her!!! -

We fell in love with Lisa’s work when browsing pictures of our venue, Brecknock Hall, in Greenport. All of her images captured natural lighting and subtle details, opposed to other cliché wedding photographers. We loved her attention to detail with kids or pets in the background, the colors in the sky, facial expressions and emotions of family members. Lisa also was familiar with the Northfork of Long Island and knew the area better than we did. She took time to know us as a couple and what we wanted. When planning our wedding, Lisa was professional, helpful when organizing a timeline for the day, accommodating and practical. We both had big families, a church for our ceremony and really wanted to take a sunset picture, which would be in the middle of our reception. Lisa, Frank and Jon got in a on a golf cart with us to the beach. Her team was able to capture it all seamlessly and made it the perfect day. She has been quick to share pictures as they are finished and they are each incredibly exquisite! They are not all posed and staged, yet uniquely shows the excitement of each moment that we will cherish forever! We can’t wait to see the rest and couldn’t give her a higher recommendation! If you are getting married on Long Island, she should be your first and last pic!!! -

The search for a perfect photographer should start and end here. The model depiction of a professional photographer should be based on Lisa’s services, and the highest standard of photography should be benchmarked by her remarkable skills.
My fiancé and I were so privileged to have Lisa orchestrate and photograph our very first moments together as an engaged couple. Through countless conversations, hours of emailing, and a 10 page detailed instructions pamphlet with several backup options; I was able to enjoy all the emotions surrounding that special surprise moment without the feeling of anxiety ever being present.
A quick glance at her portfolio alone should be enough of a determination to request her services; yet, for anyone still researching, I encourage you to setup an initial consultation with Lisa. After my first consultation with her, I knew she was not only going to take the most incredible photos but that she would also be as emotionally invested in that moment as I was; and that is her secret to being the best photographer for anyone who wants to make sure their special moment is captured in the most special of ways. -

Lisa is the best!! My fiance and I met Lisa for the first time in May 2019 at a local Panera Bread. It was important to Lisa that we met in person so we could review her work and talk through our perfect wedding day. I was instantly connected with her calm, comforting personality and her decisiveness. We excitedly booked Lisa for our Engagement Shoot and Wedding Day!
Lisa was incredibly flexible with us throughout the past 2.5 years. She was supportive through the pandemic and postponement of our wedding. It rained on our originally planned engagement shoot so we pushed to a later day on the same week, which happened to be Halloween. Despite the 30-degree weather and stampedes of Trick-or-Treaters, we got the most epic photos. Lisa and her assistant Frank hauled jackets and blankets for us while patiently waiting for the crowds to pass. We were incredibly impressed with Lisa's work following the engagement shoot -- I've never felt more excited and confident to be photographed. I knew she was the perfect person to capture our wedding day (a year later).
Lisa facilitated our entire wedding day timeline. I've bragged about this too so many friends, they could not believe it!! She raised questions and had a level of wedding day awareness that cannot be matched. Lisa shows up -- on time, prepared, energizing & willing to make decisions on the fly. The rain interfered with our first look/bridal formals (Planting Fields), but Lisa was determined. The days leading up to my wedding she drove around Babylon Village scoping out locations with overhangs, like what?! Well, it did rain BUT I was SO HAPPY because we got once-in-a-lifetime photos at the local train station in our town. Following those photos, Lisa scoped out a scenic park with overlook. This moment was very intimate and truly one of my wedding day highlights. Oh, not to mention we got those first look photos with clear umbrellas!!
With Lisa you are in good hands. She's not only a reliable, caring vendor but she is such a wonderful person. She allowed my fiance and me to be fun, funny, and a little corky behind the camera. I am so grateful for her. Thank you Lisa for holding my hand and promising our day would be everything we imagined (and worth the 2.5-year wait). It was because of you! -

Lisa was so amazing at our wedding! She truly is the best! She knew who we were and what we wanted right away. Lisa made everything so easy. From the beginning we knew we would have nothing to worry about on our special day. She was so wonderful with all of our guests and really felt like one of the family. Lisa is amazing and I cannot recommend her enough! She is extremely professional, which can often be hard to find in a photographer. We used her for our North Fork winery wedding photos in September 2019, and we still hear from family and friends how much they love our wedding photos. Lisa has an unique eye for capturing the natural light, environment and personality of her clients. You definitely will not get stoic portraits from her, but beautiful and artful photographs. We actually loved her work so much that we just did a maternity photo shoot on the beach with her in April 2021. She made sure we planned the shoot around the hour before sunset so we could get the most magnificent light. I would recommend her to anyone and would definitely use her again for any future life event. -

Excellent photographer
Lisa is an absolute amazing person to work with. My fiancé had arranged Lisa to capture our surprise proposal, and I just couldn’t be any happier. The pictures just look breath taking!! Lisa knew exactly which angle and from which place and how much light exposer was needed to capture the picture. Her work is just spectacular. Aside from the photos, Lisa is a person you can easily connect with. She understood what we wanted and she able to deliver exactly that. We recently got engaged on May 27th on a foggy day in Montauk. We have gorgeous memories of this special day all thanks to Lisa! Lisa captured the moment beautifully and we could not be happier. She sent my fiance a detailed map of Camp Hero State Park with direction on exactly where to stand, face, etc. to make sure she captured the best shot of the proposal. After I said yes, Lisa spent over an hour with us capturing photos all around the lighthouse and the beach. Lisa made us feel so comfortable and at ease, as every photo was natural and not overly staged. Within 48 hours we received the teaser photos, and less than 2 weeks later received the entire album!! Lisa was a pleasure to work with- professional, kind, patient, and truly has an eye for capturing the moment in its purest and natural form. -

How we would describe Lisa: Incredible, organized, creative, attentive listener, and such an absolute JOY to be around. Honestly, it's hard to put into words how much we love her. And who could forget her assistant, Frank, who brought the jokes and made sure we stayed true to the timeline. The partnership between the two of them is incomparable and made my surprise engagement shoot so incredibly enjoyable and full of laughs. My fiance reached out to Lisa to plan our destination engagement and the two stayed in contact the whole time to plan the event, leaving me completely oblivious and totally blissed out when the day came to fruition. My husband and I hired Lisa Nicolosi to be our wedding photographer for our July 2018 wedding at The Old Field Vineyard in Southold. Lisa was a pleasure to work with starting from our very first meeting. Having seen examples of her work on her website and other social media, choosing her was a no-brainer. She was great at answering all of our questions, and in our time together in the months before the wedding, she made sure to understand our backgrounds and story so that she could better represent us in her photos on our big day. As far as style and approach, if you're looking for a very traditional photographer to do a bunch of contrived, posed scenes throughout the day, you'll want to look elsewhere. We were looking for a more artistic, photojournalistic, emotional approach and this is exactly what Lisa delivers, in addition to plenty of the posed family photos you'll want. She's also supremely professional, and stealth! I barely noticed her the day of the wedding, but somehow she was able to capture intimate, real pictures that truly represent our beautiful and emotional day from beginning to end. The last photo she took of us under a big old tree at the vineyard after nightfall was amazing! Take a look at her work, it speaks for itself. We highly recommend Lisa.
