I fell in love with this venue the first time I went to visit! I couldn’t imagine our wedding anywhere else once I had discovered this hidden gem! Our guests are still raving about how beautiful the property was and that it was the best wedding they have been to. We owe all of that to the wonderful venue manager and team! They were readily available for any questions I had during the planning process and even the week of for last minute things, we had some quests show up unexpectedly and they were more than happy to accommodate those guests and ensured they had a place to sit for dinner! My one bridesmaid described the venue to her friends as “if unicorns were real, they would live there.” The venue is magical and the perfect place if you want everything at the same place!! So glad I came across it while searching for venues!

My husband and I searched from Washington D.C. all the way to the Poconos of PA for a wedding venue. We wanted a place that would allow only one wedding a day, had responsive, flexible staff, was reasonably priced, and had the ceremony and reception all in one location. We found all that and more at Linwood Estate. Linwood Estate is an upcoming, premier wedding venue of PA. With its beautiful large estate consisting of acres of gardens, a large mansion and patio, and a reception hall, you can have your ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception almost anywhere. On your wedding day, the estate is all yours. You don't have to worry about another wedding at your venue. The estate is run by JDK, one of the best caterers in central PA. The food was amazing. Michelle, the event coordinator, is the sweetest, most professional person you will ever meet. Anything you want, they will find a way to get it for you. Working with JDK and Linwood Estate was like a dream. You are not just another check to them. You are a couple who are about to embark on a new life together, and they want to be the first ones to help you start your amazing journey together.

Words cannot describe how wonderful Linwood is! The grounds, cottage, mansion, and reception hall are stunning. Jessica was a joy to work with. She was so helpful, and we couldn't have made the wedding day as amazing without her guidance. The staff was awesome as well! They were attentive and kind. They set up everything better than we imagined. The day was absolutely perfect and I cannot reccommend Linwood and the staff highly enough! Thank you so much!

Best venue ever!!!!

Words truly can’t describe the incredible experience we had from the very beginning of meeting you both, the ups and downs of the world along the way, to our amazing wedding weekend and beyond. When we met Melissa last year after waiting a few months to do anything at all, we felt it was meant to be immediately. We remember leaving the estate and just going…”this is it” as we drove out. Communication and customer service was unbelievable right from the start…any question, any time of the day was answered and they even hung in there with us as we navigated through the covid world, making us feel hopeful the whole time that we could still have the perfect day we dreamed of. As the months got closer and things started to open up more, they helped us nail down all the last minute details and made every single task easier for us which was such a huge help in so many ways! The venue was in tip top shape for our wedding weekend with every one of guest being in awe of the property. Melissa and Kelly stayed just as on top of things as they had been the whole time throughout the entire weekend making sure everything was PERFECT for us and our guests. Truly, we can’t thank this team enough and for Linwood having been the place of our dreams to start our lives together. It will forever be our favorite place to be.

We were married in early September at Linwood Estate. Our wedding day was a dream, and we were blown away by our experience with Linwood. Leading up to our date, Michelle the venue coordinator was extremely responsive and detail-oriented. She is friendly and welcomed all input from family members who wanted to be a part of the planning. There was plenty of availability to use the property for our engagement photo session, and on the day-of the team at Linwood helped with special touches in decorations and layout to make our wedding completely tailored to our preferences. We looked at a lot of venues, and we found Linwood to provide a unique setting with beautiful surrounding scenery to provide a rustic feel. The mansion and ballroom also have classy elegant touches including large bay windows and chandeliers. The venue works well for both indoor and outdoor weddings, so weather is not an issue, which is a relief during planning. We had a warm day but cocktail hour has both indoor and outdoor options so that everyone in our large extended families, along with friends, could find a place where they were comfortable and relaxed. The reception has nice bathrooms and air conditioning. The bridal suite and groomsmen's entire carriage house provide a fun whole-day experience. Rooms for the bridal party at the venue are included in the costs. Michelle and her team catered to us not only on our wedding day but throughout planning, in answering emails and at planning meetings, which is a huge plus. So many of our guests commented on how much they enjoyed the venue and scenery. We are so glad to have found the venue and are thankful to Michelle and her team for all their hard work to make our wedding as wonderful as it was!

Wonderful Wedding Venue

We celebrated our wedding over a full weekend (friday-sunday) at the beautiful Linwood Estate, and could not have asked for a better experience. This is now our 3rd wedding at Linwood over the last 2 years between our immediate family, and could not imagine going anywhere else. Jessica is wonderful to work with along with the entire JDK staff. They truly take care of everything so all you have to do is focus on enjoying your wedding day. We could not recommend this venue enough and highly encourage anyone looking for the most amazing wedding experience to book Linwood Estate.

There isn't a better venue in Central PA, than Linwood Estate. It is elegant, beautiful, and absolutely incomparable to anything else. We were so thankful to have Michelle, the site coordinator, throughout the entire process. You will not find a better or more genuine person, let alone coordinator. She understood our vision from the first meeting and was always there for us throughout our entire planning process. Linwood Estate will wow guests and leave a lasting impression. Our guests were telling us from the moment they were there, "This is the most beautiful wedding and venue I have ever been to." Not only is the venue beautiful but it has everything you could ever want. A beautiful lawn for an outdoor ceremony as well as a beautiful indoor "back up" ceremony location. There are sprawling gardens, a pond, a beautiful gated entrance way, an incredible terrace for cocktail hour, and a huge ballroom equipped with jaw dropping chandeliers. You and your bridal party can get ready on property, and the evening of your wedding the bride and groom can sleep in the Bridal Suite (King size bed, claw foot bathtub, walk in shower). You also receive 8 complimentary guest rooms with the venue rental. We had our parents and bridal party stay on property with us.
If you want a beautiful and classy wedding with touches of vintage decor and grandeur... Linwood is it. We would do it all over again we could!

I want to reiterate what an amazing job you and your team did at the wedding. As I mentioned, from the first time we met you, touring Linwood Estate, the booking process, follow up meetings, helpful tips and information, to the actual wedding day, working with you has been an absolute pleasure. We never could have imagined a more perfect weekend than what we had for our daughter at Linwood Estate. The bridal suite is gorgeous and so functional. The rooms were comfortable and beautifully decorated and the extra toiletries were such a nice touch. The house is so lovely and elegant yet comfortable and welcoming. The atmosphere there was integral to setting the tone for the day. The gardens and peaceful vistas make it a magical place. The train just adds to the charm, given the history of the property. Set up for the wedding never interfered with the bridal party. The house and the ballroom were beautiful with the extra touches you included. You took every detail mentioned, and went above and beyond our provisions with additions that exactly fit their design. The food was superb and the staff were so friendly and attentive. I was told many times how wonderful the food was. Our guest asked for gluten, dairy free, & no seasoning said this was the first time in 10 years of attending events that he actually could eat his meal! I want to commend you on the fantastic job you did producing the brunch and wedding in one day! You provided everything we could ask for & things we never even thought of. You as always, were cheerful, maintained a sunny disposition for 16 hours, organized every aspect of the day, every staff member working to achieve perfection for us while dealing with any issue that arose without asking us to get involved. I know there were issues, but you wouldn't let anything interfere with our day. Our guests told us it was "the best wedding ever!" Much of that had to do with you Michelle, the JDK team and the beautiful Linwood Estate.

Linwood Estate is the most breathtaking venue in Central PA by a long shot! After finding them on Instagram when they first opened as a wedding and events venue, I knew I wanted to get married there. Fast forward to my proposal, and the first thing out of my mouth (after all of the "OMG"s and crying) was "I know where I want to get married!". Luckily they still had the date open that we wanted and we jumped on it. Everything from start to finish was absolutely magical. The two girls from JDK who manage the venue are the two sweetest girls you will ever meet and they will take care of your every need and wish! We rented the estate for an entire weekend, and boy was it worth it. To be able to bring everything in on Friday morning, unpack, relax, and have the rehearsal right there is invaluable. The morning of our wedding was a breeze because everything was already there and in it's proper place. The staff made our Sunday morning exit as easy as possible by packing up as much decor as they could ahead of time. Every little detail is well thought out and perfectly executed. It was definitely the most magical weekend of our lives!

It only took a short amount of time on the property for us to FALL IN LOVE with this venue! We wanted an outdoor ceremony and a reception space w/a dance floor big enough to accommodate 175 guests. One of the major reasons we selected Linwood Estate was the option of a stunning inside back-up plan - as it turns out, we had to take advantage of this. There were definitely mixed emotions; however, since we had chosen such beautiful back-up plan, it was hard to be upset! We were allowed to make this decision up until 3 hours prior to ceremony time - we never felt pressured, and it allowed us to see what the weather was going to do! The wedding ceremony was PERFECT! The team at Linwood smoothly transitioned the room for the reception. The weather had let up enough for us to take pictures outside on the property - since there are SO MANY beautiful options, we were grateful that we were able to take advantage of them! NUMEROUS guests commented on the character of the mansion - everyone loved it! The reception was everything we wanted - phenomenal food, non-stop dancing and superb service. Linwood Estate provided an amazing wedding experience for us - it was EVERYTHING we wanted (and more!). The cost of booking Linwood Estate is a bit pricey, but it’s helpful to keep in mind everything that comes with it (the ENTIRE property for 24 hours, an events coordinator - including preparation and set-up, food and catering - including on-site preparation and service). Also, Linwood Estate does not provide alcohol. This was NOT an issue for us, as we found that it was actually cheaper to provide the alcohol. The events coordinator, Michelle Hare was BEYOND AMAZING! She worked with us every step of the way to make our big day exactly what we wanted and stress-free. She ensured that everything went smoothly and that above all else, we remained happy! Michelle is simply amazing! Thank you, Linwood Estate - for providing the BEST wedding experience!

It is hard to put into words how perfect Linwood is, but it really is perfect! From the moment I saw it for the first time and knowing that I grew up only minutes away, I knew it was the right venue for our wedding and we didn't have to look any further. Linwood has such a natural beauty and elegance to it. Every time we see our guests, they are continuing to rave about how stunning and timeless Linwood Estate is and how it was the most beautiful wedding they have ever been too.

Michelle is truly spectacular! It is so hard to express how incredible she is. From the very first day I met Michelle, she was so bubbly and fantastic! She was very welcoming, responsive, and flexible. I could call, text, and email her and she would answer all of my questions right away. She made planning and the wedding day an absolute breeze. I was able to relax and enjoy the wedding, while she took care of EVERYTHING and I mean, everything! The JDK staff were also just as wonderful! They were very friendly and prompt in helping create such a seamless day. Caesar, the groundskeeper, was especially awesome in helping to transport guests, the bridal party, and arranging the many personal touches I included. To me, my husband, and guests, everything went so incredibly smooth and perfect. Michelle, Caesar, and her staff are another HUGE part of why Linwood is amazing.

We loved the location of Linwood and how it had everything we needed. Our ceremony was on the North Lawn, in front of the mansion, which was absolutely gorgeous. After the ceremony, everyone made their way to the Mansion and patio for Cocktail hour and eventually ended up in the Appalachian Ballroom for the reception. All of the guests were able to see so many of the incredible parts of Linwood and it created a smooth transition and flow for the day.

Our wedding was everything we dreamed of and more, thanks to the beauty of Linwood and Michelle's expertise! It truly was a perfect and magical day!

Magical day

We had a wonderful experience at Linwood for our wedding day! From the moment we walked on the property, we knew it was the perfect spot for us on our special day:). So many guests commented how it was the best wedding they attending. Gorgeous scenery and being able to utilize so many different areas made it unique for guests to experience a wonderful time at our wedding! Linwood is AMAZING!!!

From start to finish, Linwood was amazing to work with. Jessica helped us make our vision come to life. Staff was extremely professional and responsive. The grounds are beautiful and provide so many options for the ceremony. Lodging on the property was extremely convenient for our out of state guests. The wedding party got ready in the mansion and cottage, which made the morning fun and relaxing. Jessica and staff have so much experience and the day ran so smoothly, I never for a second was stressed about anything. We couldn't have asked for a better or more memorable day and can't thank Linwood enough for making it amazing!

Incredibly Beautiful Venue

We just can't commend Jessica and the entire staff at Linwood quite enough! We were able to accommodate 40 individuals in our bridal party and immediate family for the entire weekend at their properties on site. Wedding day was absolutely blissful with their grounds crew making everything look picture perfect - which isn't hard at this site as it is surrounded by natural beauty with it's gardens and grounds!! Our wedding guests were blown away with their experience and stated it was the most beautiful and luxurious wedding they have ever attended! We absolutely loved Linwood Estate - our day was simply perfect in part by their exceptional services!

Linwood Estate helped to create the most amazing day of our lives. Where do I begin? The grounds and buildings are absolutely breathtaking, and the service is out of this world. Our guests went out of their way over and over again to tell us how amazing the food was and how attentive, friendly and fun the staff was. Our venue coordinator, Michelle, helped us every step of the way. Her friendly attitude, wealth of knowledge and endless creativity helped bring our day to life in a way I never could have imagined. She made everything so comfortable, easy and stress free so we could focus on having the best day of our lives. Linwood ensured our wedding day was perfect! The amenities and venue are beyond gorgeous, which was very important. However, more importantly was the fact that I (the bride) did not have to worry about anything the day of the wedding. Michelle and the staff took care of everything. Michelle was honestly the best part of our experience at Linwood. Before the wedding, we went to the venue at least five times. Every time she opened the venue so we could look around and plan small details. The day of the wedding Michelle SAVED the day. Three days before the wedding Maggie King our make-up artist canceled. We only had one person doing our make-up and the bridal party would not be finished in time. Michelle personally and without hesitation opened the venue a few hours early. Words cannot describe how much I appreciate what Michelle did for us.
It ended up raining our entire wedding day but the indoor option for the ceremony was gorgeous. We had our ceremony in the ballroom under the chandelier facing the mountains. Even though it was raining, Linwood had a ton of covered areas for the bridal party to take pictures. We were thrilled about how many outdoor pictures the photographer was able to take despite the rain.
The service was exceptional. The bridal party had their own servers who brought us drinks and food while we were taking pictures during cocktail hour! Our drinks were always filled and we all got to taste every appetizer. At one point, the staff was standing out in the rain when we were taking pictures. They really went above and beyond to ensure the bridal party was taken care of. Our menu was customized to our preferences. The groom mentioned preferring another vegetable than the one we chose for guests. They made a special plate for him with his preferred vegetable. It was all the little detail that made our experience so positive. Our wedding day was perfect and much of that was thanks to Linwood and Michelle!

I cannot even begin to describe how perfect Linwood Estate is. We had the pleasure of hosting our wedding here this past weekend. The venue is completely beyond words, the most beautiful place I have seen. We literally want to move in and never leave. We cannot even count the number of compliments we received from guests. The beauty of the venue is only half of the total package - the entire staff is such a blessing. There was not a single thing I had to deal with or worry with the entire day. They put so much effort into learning about your wedding vision that they can make it come to life with no problem. Extremely professional and have hosting weddings down to a science. One tour of the grounds and you will be in love, SO HIGHLY recommend Linwood - do not hesitate to book with them!

It's hard to put into words how happy we are with Linwood! From the very beginning Michelle was able to walk us through the little details during planning and work with us to make our day so special. We are truly happy with everything Linwood provided us throughout the whole process and on our special day. Michelle and her team are amazing! We are so grateful for everything they did to make everything run so smoothly and we never once had to worry! They worked great with our vendors too. I don't know even know where to start in order to express how perfect Linwood Estate was for our wedding. First off, it is an absolutely beautiful location. We fell in love with it on first sight. I can't tell you how many guests told me it was the most beautiful wedding venue that they had ever been to. We got married on the front lawn, had the cocktail hour in the mansion and the reception in the Appalachian Ballroom. I loved getting ready with my bridesmaids in the bridal suite in the mansion. Plus, my husband and his groomsman enjoyed hanging out in the cottage prior to the ceremony. Also, there are 9 bedrooms within the mansion and cottage. My husband and I obviously stayed in the bridal suite and our family stayed in the other rooms. Each room is more beautiful than the next. It is beyond words stunning.

In terms of service, Michelle, Director of Events at Linwood Estate, is completely amazing. She is not only professional and on top of it, but she is one of the sweetest people I have ever met. She was so helpful and responsive throughout the planning process and on the big day. I honestly want to call the owners of Linwood to make sure they know they have an absolute gem and to never lose her! In addition to Michelle, everyone at the JDK Group is very talented and professional. In regards to catering and food...fantastic. The chef is brilliant and the menu options were great. Guests raved about the food. Further, the floral team is wonderful. Erika, our florist with the JDK Group, is so accommodating and helpful in addition to unbelievably talented. She immediately got my vision and brought it to life perfectly.

In sum, Linwood Estate is the most beautiful venue and the team of people you will work with is of the utmost talented and professional out there. This venue was a dream come true. Linwood is the most stunning wedding venue in the central PA region! The estate, cottage, and ballroom are all styled in beautiful taste. The grounds are just amazing with beautiful gardens and mountain views. We loved that booking the place included the 9 rooms for the night; it was super convenient for getting ready and relaxing the night of. The venue includes a lot which took a lot of stress off when it came to planning.

The venue coordinator, Michelle, was wonderful to work with. She had great communication the entire time and was a huge help the day of. About 30 mins before our ceremony, the sky opened up and started to rain. The Linwood team was able to flawlessly move the ceremony location to the ballroom without a delay. The staff were so helpful in getting us & the wedding party around the property in the rain via golf cart. Besides the rain, everything went perfectly according to plan, and we have Linwood to thank for that.

We had so many compliments from our guests with regards to the venue and food. Overall, we could not have chosen a better venue. Book Linwood they are worth every penny - you won't regret it!

I stayed there for a weekend in June 2016 and the celebration of my marriage to my husband could not have been anymore perfect. I realized it takes an army to make sure everything runs smoothly and Linwood’s team and the Director of Events, Michelle, are without a doubt the best there is. We not only had our reception there but also our rehearsal dinner and a Sunday morning brunch with our bridal party and family. Friday night, all of my bridesmaids stayed in the estate with me while my now husband and his groomsmen stayed in the cottage, making it such an amazing way to wake up on my wedding day. My girls and I woke up on Saturday and had make up and hair done in the bridal suite while the guys roamed the property and enjoyed the cottage. We had our ceremony elsewhere but as soon as we returned to Linwood, the whole bridal party and my husband and I had our own servers ready with our requested drinks and appetizers as we hopped out of our limos. We freshened up where we had begun our day and quickly ventured the land to take breathtaking photographs thanks to the gorgeous property with a pond and beautiful landscaping while our guests enjoyed cocktail hour in the estate and on the patio. Throughout the reception, the entire Linwood team was wonderful and catered to every guest’s need.

Michelle made my wedding day better than I could have ever imagined. Leading up to the day, she answered my countless emails and made the whole process so enjoyable. She always greeted my family and me with a smile and made things happen when I thought the ideas were impossible.

I continue to hear from people telling me how beautiful Linwood is. This was truly a once in a lifetime celebration and I can honestly say my dreams would not have come true without Michelle, her team, and this beautiful property.

There is no way to express how absolutely incredible Linwood was for our wedding! My husband and I got married at Linwood on July 16, 2016! First, the venue itself is breathtaking--something out of a movie! My husband and I looked at this venue before any others, and NOTHING else compared. It gives you that romantic, modern-vintage look and you can't find many other places. It really felt like a scene out of a Nicholas Sparks movie. Also, the fact that we got to get ready on-site before the wedding/ stay in the beautiful mansion the night of our wedding was a huge plus! We could continue the party with our family and closest friends who were staying on property after the reception! Also, allowing the girls to get ready in the mansion and the guys in the groom's cottage also kept us from seeing each other before the ceremony without feeling like we had to "hide" all morning and afternoon. Second, the grounds staff, house crew, and JDK catering company are so good at what they do! The definitely don't skimp on preparation or quality! The staff put so much time and additional detail into the littlest things that a bride or groom wouldn't typically think about. They create an entire "look book" page in your profile and base their decorating schemes around your visions. Trust me when I say our minds were all over the place when it came our vision, but somehow everyone knew exactly what we wanted. They're true professionals and absolutely outstanding at what they do! Lastly, Michelle... where to begin?! Michelle was my saving grace from the day I sent in an email saying we were interested in looking at the venue. She is one of the nicest people you will ever meet and ALWAYS has a smile on her face. She is SO organized and always willing to answer questions, and was able to produce a wedding we thought we could only dream of! I wish I could give Linwood and the staff more than 5 stars because they TRULY deserve it! Our day was perfect and we owe it all to them.

Where to start, my Fiance and I saw Linwood Estate on a wedding website and made an appointment immediately. We loved everything about Linwood from the website and as soon as we stepped onto the property we knew it'd be impossible to beat and once we met Michelle there was no question about it we were going to get married there no matter what!

From the beginning Michelle made us feel important and that continued throughout the planning process and even after the wedding. Michelle gets to know her brides and grooms and even their families. It's truly amazing how much time she puts into making your day flawless - even if something happens she ensures it's fixed and the bride and groom aren't aware. Also, every time we met with her no matter what time of day / night she never made us feel rushed or that she had somewhere else to be. All of her attention is on you and that made the planning process much easier. With every meeting she put us at ease and by the final walk through we knew our day was going to be everything we had ever wanted.

Linwood Estate is beyond gorgeous - we were at the venue during each season and it's the perfect venue for a wedding at any time during the year. I love that there are 3 separate locations for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. It allows the guests to see the grounds and enjoy a different atmosphere at each. There are multiple options for your wedding ceremony but the backdrop of the Mansion was our favorite!

Overall - Linwood Estate is an amazing wedding venue you can’t beat the beauty of the property and with the added value of Michelle makes this place worth every penny.

My Daughter was married on 5.23.15 at Lindwood Estate. This place is phenomenal!! One stop wedding venue with many areas to have your ceremony and take pictures .The Appalachian ballroom is stunning!!! There is also a guest cottage with 4 bedrooms (where the groomsmen got dressed) with a fireplace and flat screen TV for the guys to chill pre-ceremony. The Mansion is beautifully restored and also has 5 suites on the upper level. One is the bridal suite that the couple get complimentary on their wedding night. These rooms are available for guests and bridal party and also family to rent. There is also a beautiful outside patio with a fire pit-we had the cocktail hour here and it was perfect!! Michelle, the wedding coordinator at Linwood is AMAZING!!!!!!! She is knowledgeable, dependable and extremely helpful and very kind and most fun!. She is prompt with answering questions and emails. Her staff is top notch. JDK the premier caterer for Linwood is first class all the way. They work closely with you to make the wedding of your dreams come true. All in all, a first class operation-Don't look any further than Linwood-you will not be dissappointed

Linwood is absolutely beautiful. We first looked at Linwood before the renovations were complete and we were a little apprehensive to book the venue before it was finished, but I'm so happy we did. Michelle went above and beyond not only on the day of, but leading up to the wedding she was always very responsive and so helpful in helping us create our perfect wedding. I'm going to start at the very beginning, because from that moment on, Nick and I knew Linwood Estate was where we would be getting married. We were contacted by Michelle to have a tour of Linwood Estate with Mimosas, Nick and I knew our initial wedding date we wanted was already booked at Linwood, but we both decided we would go anyway. From the moment we turned into the driveway, my belly filled with butterflies. The gardens are spectacular as you are driving towards the mansion. When we exited the vehicle, we were warmly welcomed by Michelle. Michelle, besides the property itself, is what makes Linwood even more special. Linwood was the one, I have not been so sure of something since Nick asked me to be his wife. From telling Michelle my vision of our wedding day, she became more excited than I even felt sometimes, which made all my time and effort in planning seem worth it. On our wedding day, Michelle made sure everything went perfectly. The staff goes beyond expectations, by adding details to make the look complete. Our ceremony was held on the front lawn facing the mansion, which itself is enough scenery that we didn't have to worry décor. During cocktail hour, guests were able enjoy themselves in the mansion or gardens, while myself and the wedding party were getting pictures taken. Linwood provided two servers during pictures, so we were able to enjoy the Hors d'oeuvres and drinks as well. The Appalachian Ballroom is BREATHTAKING! It features an amazing centerpiece bar, stunning chandeliers, a barn door, and an amazing backdrop of wooden shutters. The space can be rustic, or romantic, which is what we choose! Our colors were blush, cream, and gold, which matched the ballroom perfectly. Our night ended with a sparkler sendoff, then my groom and I headed to the mansion for our fist night as husband and wife. The entire staff at Linwood was amazing, and I can't begin to express how much gratitude I have for them.

Linwood Estate offers a place to make your dreams to come true. My son wanted a wedding facility that had a silhouette of the mountains and my daughter in law wanted true elegance. This is it!!!
Linwood Estate is the most stunning venue in Central Pennsylvania. The amenities are beyond gorgeous, with an amazing staff. Michelle Hare, Director of Venue Marketing and Sales, provided a smile and warmth thru the entire wedding planning. Michelle and Erika Hegedus, Director of Design and Innovation, made the bride’s every dream come to reality.
Our request for a Kosher Menu, even though never done before, was provided by JDK, without a complaint and to shear perfection. The JDK staff, that served during the cocktail hour and dinner were beyond fabulous.
Linwood Estate is truly a one of a kind venue and a beautiful place to celebrate a wedding or any other wonderful event with your family and friends.

Linwood Estate is a stunning venue, with an amazing staff. We got married at Linwood Estate in July of 2016. Throughout the wedding planning process, Michelle was so helpful, friendly, and felt like an old friend! The food and service provided by JDK catering was phenomenal. Michelle and JDK provide top notch service and do everything in their power to please the bride and groom.

Linwood Estate is a GORGEOUS venue. Its grounds are well taken care of with beautiful flowers and blossoming trees. There are so many beautiful locations outside of Linwood Estate that the photos produced on the wedding day are out of this world. The actual estate is super awesome because the inside is completely redone-it looks like something straight out of a pier one magazine. The new ballroom is breathtaking with the large glass chandeliers.

Everyone that attended our wedding could not get over the venue. It is so unique and different from typical weddings. Our ceremony was outside, cocktail hour throughout the mansion(guests loved this), and reception in the ballroom.

Our wedding was the best day ever and I think that Linwood Estate, Michelle, and JDK have a large role in that!

Gorgeous!!

We had a fantastic experience with Linwood Estates. Kelly and the team are just great! Communication was superb ahead of time, and during our wedding weekend we felt completely comfortable in capable hands! Every detail we had asked for ahead of time was remembered. Melissa was there right when we arrived ready to help unload. During our site visits ahead of time Kelly was very flexible and organized. So many guests commented on how beautiful and unique the estate was. Being able to have our family and bridal party on site the whole weekend was priceless. It really helped ease transitions and brought a sense of closeness. Would recommend!

Linwood Estate is absolutely gorgeous!

I don't even know where to begin. Linwood Estate is an amazing venue and we had an outstanding experience when planning our daughter’s wedding. The mansion, the ballroom, the landscape – from the moment we drove onto the property Saturday morning till we left that evening, everyone was busy doing their jobs! From the groundskeepers to the waitress who followed the bridal party around, the service and hospitality were outstanding. They made every attempt to fill any request made by the bride, and they did it willingly.

Not only is the venue incredible, but the staff is there to accommodate your every request. I worked with Jessica and I honestly have no words to describe how amazing, how supportive, and how personable she is. She always had an answer for our questions, and never made us feel like we were a bother. Our biggest concern was that our guests would have a delicious and HOT meal, and she assured me that they would. Again, we were not disappointed. Our guests raved about the food and the beauty of the venue. Who said fairy tales don’t come true…

Wedding Day

We drove through the opened gates and up the driveway to an amazing picture of the Linwood Estate Mansion; we knew at that moment that this was the place! Linwood is nestled away amongst beautiful landscape, which gives you the feel of peace, warmth and beauty. This beauty does not end there as you step through the front doors of this lovely mansion. The warmth and excitement continued with our planner Jessica. Jess was perfect from start to finish and she was always on call for us. They say there is no such thing as "perfect" but I can assure you that this is not always true, because our day was perfect! Jess and her staff continued with much professionalism and were always enjoyable to be around. We were fortunate to have the venue all weekend to accommodate our out of town guest. Our overnight guest and our guest that attended the wedding couldn't say enough about the atmosphere of Linwood Estate. Our experience was amazing!

We got married on October 4, 2014 at Linwood Estate and I have said it so many times but I will say it again, it was my absolute DREAM wedding! I am an event coordinator myself, so I was worried that I was going to be disappointed and critical while working with other event coordinators to plan my big day. I was wrong. Michelle was the most sincere, genuine and hardworking event coordinator I could have ever dreamed of working with! She responded to every single one of my crazy emails with professionalism and politeness. The venue speaks for itself. You MUST do a site visit. It is so beautiful. I loved being able to arrive on Friday morning and we were able to take our time leaving on Sunday. Our guests were amazed by the venue, especially the mansion and the ballroom. They were decorated and re-done so well, keeping true to the 1900's style but with all of the modern day amenities. We truly felt like the property was ours for the weekend, what more could you ask for? Thank you Michelle and everyone at Linwood for making our wedding so memorable for ourselves and our guests!

I don’t even know where to begin!!! My husband and I couldn’t be more happier with our choice of wedding venue. We only looked at one other venue but we knew nothing would even come close to what Linwood could offer us, so we signed the contract the very next day. The Estate is so beautiful, our guests could not stop raving about it. The best part was that we were lucky enough to stay on the property the whole weekend. As for, Jessica and Michelle they were absolutely amazing throughout the whole process. They made everything so simple, were quick to answer any questions we had, and just a joy to work with. The day of the wedding they were there to orchestrate everything flawlessly. If there were any problems (which there weren’t), we had no idea because they know how to handle any situation thrown at them. Our dream fairytale wedding came true thanks to everyone that is a part of the Linwood family. We can’t thank them enough and recommend them to anyone looking for a wedding venue that does it all!!!

Wow, I don't even know where to begin! From the moment I stepped onto the property while attending a bridal expo in July of 2014, I was swept away by enchantment. There is elegant charm behind every little detail in the mansion, ballroom and beyond. Even the bathrooms are gorgeous! My husband and I could not have made a better selection in choosing the Linwood Estate for our special day, and our wedding is now being described by friends and family as "the event of the century." Michelle, the estate's coordinator is ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL and a true gem of a person to work with. I truly have never met a more genuine and accommodating individual. I can honestly say the Linwood Estate deserves every bit of a 5 star rating and I will continue to recommend this lovely venue for years to come!

Linwood Estate was an absolute dream for our cocktail hour & wedding reception! When I began my venue search over a year ago, there weren't many options in our area that fit the bill for my husband and I.... until I stumbled upon Linwood Estate! The mansion was still undergoing renovations, and the ballroom was still under construction... but I could see the vision and potential for this absolutely STUNNING property and I am SO GLAD we risked it and booked with Linwood! Our main contact person and wedding guru, Michelle, is an absolute doll. She is not only extremely professional, but was always there to answer any question I had and gush about wedding plans right along with me. Michelle is also a huge reason we decided to go with Linwood - her dedication to wedding planning shows through her organization and attention to detail! She made planning a breeze. (I have to mention - she uses an amazing online program for guest count/RSVP and seating charts - never again will brides need to use poster boards and post-it notes!!) Every little detail of Linwood made our wedding day one of a kind.... the beautiful property blooming in springtime.... the fountain at the lake.... the immaculate decor of the mansion.... the STUNNING beauty of the ballroom (even the bathrooms are to die for!).... and our overnight stay in the mansion's master suite for our first evening as husband and wife was so romantic!! I cannot stress enough how amazing Linwood was... no need to shop around for 100 different vendors... Linwood conveniently included every last gorgeous detail from table linens and dishes, to cake cutting and garnishing, to packing up the leftovers for a midnight snack in the mansion kitchen. If you want the best day of your life.... please, please... CHOOSE LINWOOD! You will NOT regret it!

I was literally floored when I visited Linwood Estate. Newly engaged (a week, I think) with several venues in mind between Washington D.C, our home, and Pennsylvania, our home state, we had only made it to one other venue before seeing Linwood and booking the earliest date available. I could not have imagined a more perfect setting for us - having grown up in the country, but with years of being spoiled by city-style glam. Linwood has it all. You get the outdoor space with fields on one side and mountains on the other, and you get the beautifully-designed interiors with every necessary amenity. Our guests from San Francisco, Chicago, New York, DC, and London were so thrilled with the remote and luxurious getaway!

We booked the entire weekend for our immediate families to stay at Linwood and gave ourselves a destination wedding without travelling too far. Throughout the weekend, including the day of the wedding, I barely had to think about what was going on around me. That doesn't only apply to me - our entire family was able to focus on family time and hanging out with guests. We hosted a tea ceremony in the living room, immediately followed by a BBQ for more than half our guest list, and had zero worries about what needed to happen to get the place ready for the following day wedding ceremony and reception because the JDK staff took care of every detail related to the grounds and the wedding.

5-Star venue, 5-Star staff, 5-Star experience. You get what you pay for and so so so much more.

After seeing Linwood in person there is no other venue that compares. It was the perfect place for our wedding. We had multiple guests tell us it was the best wedding they had ever been to! The whole process from start to finish was so smooth with Michelle and Jessica at Linwood. They take care of everything and even add touches of decor to help personalize your day. Linwood is such a value because you don't have to worry about a thing. The ability to stay the night there is also a benefit. We also had many compliments on the food and their dedicated caterer. We are so happy we had our wedding at Linwood!

Couldn't recommend this venue more highly! It is absolutely gorgeous with multiple spaces for various parts of your day. We used the lawn for the ceremony, the house for cocktail hour, and the barn/ballroom for the reception. We were able to drive a golf cart around the entire property for photos, so we will have some really unique shots by the pond, old barns, corn fields, etc. I also love that there's only one wedding per day and it's secluded, so you and your guests can really immerse yourself in the day without any distractions. Another thing that's really special is that there's a server assigned to the bride and groom - they cater to you throughout the day to make sure you're not hungry or thirsty, which is so important!!

Michelle is absolutely wonderful - this really cannot be stressed enough. She's very organized and friendly. She will check in with you multiple times throughout the process so you feel prepared when the day finally arrives. She's also very flexible and will work with you to make sure that your wedding is as you envisioned! We had an Indian-Nigerian wedding so there were lots of unusual details (e.g. horse for the groom's entrance, various types of food) but everything was seamless and authentic at the end.

I would only have two suggestions:
- It is a bit expensive, but honestly, it's such a unique and beautiful venue, and the natural beauty means that you don't need to pay much for flowers and decorations, so in the end I still think it's worth it.
- There was very poor cell reception there, which is not their fault, of course. Provide a landline for vendors for the wedding day, and print instructions to the nearest highway for guests as phone GPS may not work near the venue.

We felt like we were in a fairytale for a day, and I wish the same for you! You cannot go wrong with Linwood!

All of our guests complimented us on how amazing this venue is. The staff are impeccable. The views are splendid. The venue managers know exactly how to make your day the best day of your life.

We planned our wedding remotely, leaning on the staff here heavily. They did a fantastic job! We could not be happier with the quality of the event. Every single detail went exactly as planned.

We were very lucky to have the chance to get married at Linwood Estate in September 2014. This is a new venue, but the estate was actually built in the late 1700s and they have preserved all the wooden floors, chandeliers, and some of the furniture. The venue has a beautiful rustic vintage feel to it mixed with a breathtaking countryside view.

Another nice thing about Linwood is the fact that you can stay there the night before and the night of the wedding. We had our bridal party stay there the night before the wedding and we used the bridal suite for the night of the wedding. It was SO nice to have everything done in one place and enjoy the beautiful property.

The staff at Linwood was an absolute pleasure to work with. They worked with us on every single detail and were around until the last minute to make sure everything went smoothly. Michelle, in particular, was really, really amazing. She made sure that ALL the details were taken care of and did everything with a big smile on her face :)

We highly recommend Linwood as a wedding venue, especially if you are looking for a venue to use for more than 1 day.

My son and daughter-in-law's wedding was held at Linwood Estate. It is an absolutely stunning venue - several of our guests said it was the most beautiful wedding they had ever been to.

Michelle was fantastic to work with! She always responded to questions and emails promptly, and is a very nice person. Michelle was on hand all day to make sure that everything went perfect.

She couldn't do anything about the rain that came in 30 minutes before the ceremony - but - no worries - we went with Plan B and the wedding was held in the Appalachian Ballroom.

It was a beautiful, wonderful day.

Linwood Estates was such a great wedding venue and the employees of the JDK Group were absolutely wonderful to work with. Both Jessica (Venue Coordinator) and Colton (Flowers) were extremely responsive and very flexible in helping us to create our dream wedding. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful and the owner is constantly updating and upgrading the facility which is very exciting. I hope that others can create their dream wedding here as well!

Amazing property, great staff, and luxury accommodations!

This was the first venue we looked at and I knew within the first 5 minutes Linwood was the venue for our wedding! It was clean, charming, and in full bloom for April. Every guest raved how incredible the site was and how much fun they had staying in the property. Grateful for such a wonderful experience!

Our wedding at Linwood Estate was more than my now husband (!) and I have ever dreamed of! The staff was wonderful and took care of everything we needed and I had a personal waiter to ensure I was eating/drinking throughout the day/night. The only complaint I had was not being able to play our slideshow which was put on a powerpoint during cocktail hour. Also, our tasting was incredible however, the seabass we ordered in duo with our petit filet was not up to par at all. Other than that, we had a perfect day and I highly recommend Linwood Estate for your special day!

I cannot say enough good things about Linwood Estate! From the very beginning we felt very welcome and like we were the most important people to them! Michelle is a true gem! We had help the entire way through our wedding adventure and Michelle was always there to answer our questions! They took every detail into account, and made sure everything was perfect! They treated us like royalty and it was truly amazing! We got everything we could of ever wanted out of Linwood and would do it all over again! We had a small issue 2 months after our wedding and it was promptly taken care of by Michelle and JDK Catering! Thanks so much for the wonderful experience that will last a lifetime!

Michelle was fantastic to work with, venue was beautiful, and JDK service was top notch! Only suggestion - upgrade wifi at venue as cell service is almost nonexistent.

Great weekend marred by unprofessional Co-Owner

Following a fantastic weekend of laughs and memories made, the bridal party was accused of damages of which we had no knowledge. Further, the co-owner was extremely unprofessional when we tried to make contact to further understand the situation. Name-calling and insulting are not qualities of good, hearty business owners.

Co-OWNER was completely disrespectful when discussing minor damages to some towels done at the cottage. Even went as far as to call me a millennial when discussing the matter professionally. Stear clear.

Beautiful but don’t judge a book by its cover

Beautiful place but unprofessional owners

I was a guest at my friend Jeanine’s wedding at Linwood Estate. The whole wedding weekend was gorgeous, and I was blown away by the beauty of the property. The staff and local venders were wonderful. But I also want to say that the bride acted with with extraordinary composure, politeness, elegance, and kindness. As a close friend, I know this is how she always is. But it impressed me because a couple weeks before her wedding, she'd confided in me and shared an aggressive, frightening email she'd received from one of the owners of Linwood Estate. This email shocked me. The owner had never met or spoken with the bride, but made strange, personal assumptions and accusations. They also blamed miscommunications on her. For example, Jeanine had recorded notes on a conversation with a Linwood staff member about a fire pit and fireplace in hot pink font in the contract, just above the place where Linwood’s representative then signed. In the email, as in their response to her review here, the owner accused the bride of sneaking the fireplace and fire pit in. If the contract needed an official addendum, instead of these notes, shouldn’t Linwood have made one before signing? At the wedding, I watched Jeanine and the wedding party act with patience and understanding during two water shut-offs and other challenges. Maybe it was confusing to the owners that Jeanine didn’t fit their ideas about her, when she was instead polite and continued giving them the benefit of the doubt? In contrast, the owners were dismissive, and in their response here, they have taken the same undeserved, suspicious tone that I saw in the email. No one who knows the bride would agree with these insinuations of trying to hustle the venue, or being impossible to please (I got to know Jeanine when she was a client, and I laughed at that one. She might be the most generous, clear, reasonable, and conscientious person I’ve ever worked with). Jeanine has been restrained in her review, and I know she agonized over whether or not to post it. She did it for the sake of other brides who might be similarly suspected without reason. I hope she never reads the owner's reply, because it is more of the same. But it's a false representation and it seemed important to say so.

Don't risk it.

We all know that everyone’s wedding has problems or glitches behind the scenes, but the way the owners handle it makes the difference between a painful sad situation or one you could laugh about. I was recently a bride, I’m Jeanine/Dr.J’s friend, and I was a bridesmaid in her wedding at Linwood Estate. When those glitches happen, your hope is that the property owner is gracious and accommodating. But when they are instead rude and dismissive on your once-in-a-lifetime day, it is heartbreaking.

I wanted to put up my review. First, because I genuinely believe Jeanine was extremely gracious despite the circumstances. I’ve been a bridesmaid in 6 weddings and can tell you, Jeanine was nowhere near demanding: she was an extremely considerate bride. Thus, I’m frustrated by the consistent gaslighting by the Linwood Estate owners: from the planning of the wedding, to the many interactions I witnessed at the wedding, to their review response on this page. As you can see, in contrast, Jeanine’s review is gracious and not nit-picky. There were a lot of things that went wrong, Jeanine chose not to share any of those details in her review and stayed high level, with only a couple examples for the benefit of the reader.

My second reason for writing this response to the owners gaslighting response, is because I recently got married and I wouldn’t wish this on any future bride. Weddings are hard to plan and execute, there are a lot of things that can go wrong in a venue, and what you hope is that the owners are responsive and on your team. If they aren’t able to provide water during significant hours when you need it (taking a shower before your event, preparing catering, getting ready for bed), then you would hope that the venue would take accountability and give you some of your money back. You can imagine staying at a hotel for a work meeting: the water turns off for your morning shower, and the hotel is apologetic and give you something like 20% off the room. They do not tell you that you should be happy to get water back hours later when you are already at your all-day work meeting. Knowing Jeanine, she is not going to post a response; she is not going to engage in a toxic back and forth with the Linwood Estate owners. She and we have done our part by providing this warning to future brides and people interested in the Linwood Estate. It’s a gorgeous venue but proceed with caution. If you have an other option you are considering, don’t take the risk with Linwood Estate. I’m sure it sometimes goes well for folks but you don’t want to gamble your wedding day.

Think twice. All that glitters is not gold.

While Linwood Estate is a beautiful place, I can not recommend it because when my husband and I got married there last month (December 2022), we had very stressful experiences with the owners and the property. If you'd like to know the full story, I've written it out for you, below.

Two weeks before our wedding, I received an email from the owner, falsely accused me of a range of things that made no sense and were untrue. Receiving such an email two weeks before our wedding felt very confusing and upsetting (especially after having paid in full months before and abiding by all the many rules and restrictions). Bringing our family and friends into such an environment felt stressful. We had no way of knowing if any additional erratic behavior would take place. We moved forward out of necessity.

After we arrived, my then fiancé noticed a set of blinds missing from a bedroom in the Groom's Cottage. When he alerted the property manager she told him to, "just put a sheet up, nobody's gonna see you." Is that the response of a high end estate? Around the same time, we noticed that several outlets in the bedrooms of the Mansion were without power. Imagine half a dozen women attempting to prepare for an evening event with limited lighting and electricity. Unfortunately, as we tried to make the best of being in this *elite* estate with broken blinds and faulty electrical sockets, the water went out in the Mansion. A member of my bridal party was actually *in* the shower when the water completely shut off.

The owners made efforts to repair the issue. Nonetheless, our entire Welcome Reception and Rehearsal Dinner (which took place in the Mansion) was without water. The faulty electricity and lightning in the Mansion's bedrooms, the water outage in the entire building....this was all malfunctioning while attempting to entertain and spend meaningful time with all of our friends and family. The water worked on Friday.

It went out *again* on the last day of our Wedding Weekend. This time my new husband was the one caught in the shower, startled and cold, with no water. Just like our Welcome Reception, our entire Farewell Breakfast was *also* without water. So, we needed to scramble all over again.

The owners of the estate offered no apology and took no responsibility for the stress caused by their facility's multi-day malfunction. They refused any conversation about returning a portion of our deposit even though it was clear that we paid in full for a fully functioning property....yet we did not get a fully functioning property. In fact, the owner belittled our concerns, suggested we get over it, and walked away from us mid-conversation. We did not return this disrespect at any time.

Ironically, our guests had a wonderful time at our wedding. That's because my husband and I + our amazing bridal party shielded our friends and family from what was going on. We bore the emotional burden ourselves. Since then we've been ghosted. There's been no response to our emails.

I think it's important that other brides and couples know about these circumstances before making big investments. I wouldn't recommend that anyone risk having such stressful experiences during one of the most important days of your life. You deserve to be treated with respect and kindness while you start your new life. 💕

Hopefully you have a lot of

Although the whole place looked super nice and had a nice layout. The staff and management were terrible. They hit you for every little fee and are very condescending. They are hard to talk to and will start to argue with you instead of acting like grown people. For the price you pay it’s not worth the experience you have with the staff and management. I would not recommend this venue to anyone.

Luxury cost for subpar venue

As a guest, I knew what my friend payed for this venue. I’m unsure why she paid what she did-
Soap in every bathroom was watered down.
The reception space has an awkward shape (with a large ugly bar in the middle?).
The acoustics were terrible.
The grounds were sloppy with poison ivy growing all over the place.
The owner (Christine I believe?) was unprofessional.

At the price point, I expected a nicer experience. The other vendors and my friends great taste in decor / music made the day beautiful overall, but the venue disappointed day-of.
