Best Decision Ever.

Hiring Lindsey as our wedding photographer was the best decision we made for our wedding (besides getting married)! We were lucky enough to work with Lindsey for our intimate wedding (due to COVID) and then our larger wedding celebration a year later. Lindsey immediately feels like your best friend, and she has the most amazing eye and delivers incredible photos! We will cherish our wedding photos (times two) for years and years to come and we could not recommend Lindsey more!

Captured the Essence

I'm a hard critic, but Lindsey hit the mark for us and captured the essence of our wedding ceremony and reception. She was beyond accommodating, was flexible whenever we or our family wanted a special moment captured, and she seemed omnipresent at the ceremony, photographing just about everything as if she were part of a team of three. She treated our same-sex marriage the same as any other. She made suggestions on poses, locations, lighting, and provided props (clear umbrella for that rainy moment!). We think she thoroughly enjoyed our special day with us and it showed in the pictures. Don't hesitate in contacting Lindsey, she is someone you can trust for that special moment.

Lovely experience, lovely photos

We had a wonderful experience with Lindsey for our Middleburg, VA wedding and Washington, DC engagement shoot. She was a delight to work with, and, of course, the photos are gorgeous. Can't recommend her highly enough.

We LOVE our wedding photos from Lindsey Lyons. Best. Decision. Ever.

Hiring Lindsey was absolutely one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Lindsey is so unbelievably versatile and she has an amazing eye for the right settings for your photos. We got incredible versions of the standard wedding photos (family portraits, etc.) and then were so happy to also receive some really unique and cool ones as well. Plus, her personality is truly infectious and she really embraces who you are as a couple instead of forcing you to do things that make you uncomfortable just for the shot. On top of all of that, she's so responsive and turned around both our engagement and wedding photos in less than a month!
I truly can't recommend her enough, and if I ever need photos again in the Virginia area I won't even skip a beat and will contact her right away. Run, don't walk, and hire her!!

Lindsey is a wonderful photographer. The way she works with people is phenomenal. Very kind and patient. Lindsey is probably the nicest and most talented photographer I have ever had the pleasure of working with. And I am very particular, and with four kids and as a person who loves family photos, I have worked with a lot of them. This past spring, I found Lindsey online and fell in love with her photography style. We live in the Midwest, but since my husband and I and all four of our sons were meeting in Williamsburg for a June wedding, I had decided that we were long overdue for a family picture. Lindsey had no problem at all booking a session with the 6 of us, even though we were just some strange family coming from Missouri. Through emails, Lindsey asked questions and encouraged me to do the same so that she could get a clear idea of exactly what I wanting where our photos were concerned. She offered color suggestions for our attire when I asked which really made a huge difference in the way our photos turned out. And when we met on the day of the session, she knew exactly what I wanted. We were able to start shooting immediately. Our photos are beautiful. There were so many to choose from. I even love the ones Lindsey took in which my grown sons (ages 17-25) acted like they were 3-8 again getting their pictures taken. I guess boys never grow up. Some photographers probably wouldn’t have even taken these shots, and if they did, they probably wouldn’t have included these in their proofs, but that’s what I love about Lindsey. She was able to capture my sons’ true personalities. Sure they look so handsome in the photos I chose to hang on the wall, but I also had a bunch of prints made of the “bloopers”. That’s who my kids really are. Lindsey could see that. She is an incredibly talented photographer with this amazing intuitive personality that is perfect to help her capture all the right moments.

I was so thankful to have Lindsey as our photographer during our wedding and engagement photos! My husband and I are definitely not naturally comfortable in front of the camera, but she really made us feel relaxed and at ease! During a wedding you need people who you can depend on to do a good job, and Lindsey is someone I felt right away I could trust! My pictures are a gift that we will have for a lifetime!

There are not enough wonderful things I can say about Lindsey. I absolutely loved having her as my wedding photographer. She is professional, but super friendly and goofy too...so much fun to work with! My entire bridal party loved her as well as our family members. I cant wait for my pictures to be finished! I recommend her 150%!!!

Lindsey Lyons Photography is absolutely AMAZING! I would recommend that everyone hire Lindsey for their wedding! She is so fun to work with, is a great listener, is extremely organized & efficient, & has the most personable, loving, and easygoing personality. I got my wedding photos back in a short amount of time & they are better than I could have ever imagined! She goes above & beyond in working with her clients. On my wedding day, Lindsey helped me fix my makeup when it got ruined- not just any photographer would have done that! Lindsey cares about her clients & is such a genuine person. Lindsey is not only super talented, she is also an absolute delight to be around! My husband and I worked with her to have our engagement and wedding photos taken, and the photos from both shoots turned out beautifully. Lindsey really has an eye for creative photos, and I am amazed at how she captured such beautiful moments throughout the day. Even as someone who doesn't love being the center of attention, I felt totally natural and comfortable working with Lindsey. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for a wedding and/or engagement photographer!

Lindsey is amazing! She took our engagement pictures and we could not be more pleased with the quality of her work (we received so many compliments)! We didn't have a wedding , but also a special occasion! My mother 80 th birthday , we her two brothers coming from Europe to celebrate! Linsay did a wonderful job with our family pictures ! From our first meeting, Lindsey was warm and inviting. She kept in touch through the months leading up to and she was very tentative on my wedding day. I was a very nervous bride, wanting everything to be perfect of course and she and her camera coached me through every moment through the event. She is experienced and dedicated, she even climbed on my roof to get an airial shot!! She is a blast to work with, a genuine soul. My wedding was in June which I know for any wedding photographer must be their busiest time. We received our album in just a few short weeks. When looking through the photos I noticed she captured every moment I would have wanted to keep forever. She also captured the emotion of the day with every shot. I would recommend her above anyone else!!!

Lindsey was wonderful to work with! She made us feel so comfortable, especially for my camera-shy husband. She was always prompt to respond to questions via email/text/call. Lindsay was always quick to respond to any and all questions we asked her. She was always friendly and helpful and a pleasure to work with. LOVE Lindsey! Found her on wedding wire and was so pleased with her. She made everything worry free and helped with ideas when I was indecisive (that had nothing to do with photography). We love our photos, she did a great job capturing our service dog who was also a part of the day too!

I was so excited to meet Lindsay and have the opportunity to work with her at Kingsmill Resort for Kathryn's wedding. She is so super friendly and talented!! Lindsey is able to capture the moment. Everytime I look at the pictures around my home I remember how I felt when they were taken. My favorite pictures are the ones she catches! I have had her take family pictures, boudoir and photograph my wedding. She made me feel so comfortable and beautiful. She will document every future milestone for my family.

Lindsey was so much fun to work with, I think we laughed the whole time during my bridal portraits. She was so easy to get in touch with and during the wedding day she captured all the special moments from getting ready, the ceremony and the reception she was always there and ready to take a picture when we requested. The clarity of the pictures was 100% and we loved them all. Another plus is that Lindsey offers a military discount so she was right in our budget we had for a photographer, she works with you to make sure she is within your budget and so helpful. I had a list of pictures that I wanted to have taken and she was able to get all of those done plus more! I would recommend Lindsey for weddings, family photos or just a fun photo shoot!

Lindsey was flexible, easy to work with, and knew how to handle our large crazy crowd of a family. We had come up with a list of shots but she also came up with amazing and creative shots while we were taking our pictures and they ended up being my favorite pictures. She captured EVER aspect of our wedding with amazing pictures and I'm very thankful. You can't go wrong with her as your photographer. Best decision we made for our special day.

Lindsey is wonderful photopher! She works really hard to get the shots you want. Her photos are excellent and of artistic quality. You can tell how much she loves her job by the photos she takes. I highly recommend her for any type of photography needs!

Where do I begin with Lindsey? She was 10/10! From our first meeting I knew she would be the perfect photographer for our wedding at the Williamsburg Winery. She kept in touch with us for weeks before the wedding, making sure she could capture everything we wanted, and on the day of the wedding she was always present, getting great shots, and going above and beyond to capture our whimsical fairytale day! We've only seen a few previews of our photographs, but from those I can tell that the whole set is going to be amazing! I'm recommending her to all my 757 friends :D

Lindsey was awesome! She did an amazing job on our engagement photos. It was our first photo shoot and we were clueless, but Lindsey helped us feel comfortable and natural. The photos came out amazing, we had tons of compliments on the quality of her work!

Since we had a destination wedding we went with a different photographer that was local to the area, but in hindsight we should have stuck with Lindsey! Everyone at the wedding asked if we had the same photographer from the engagement shoot because the pictures were fantastic. We regretfully had say no, but in the future we will definitely go with Lindsey again!

I highly recommend Linsey Lyons Photography. Her professionalism and quality of work are amazing. And my husband surprisingly even had fun on the photo shoot!
