Everything with this officiant went better than expected. She was super nice/welcoming and professional. Due to a family emergency, she was even willing to accommodate possible changes to everything as a benefit without even asking for it. Timely responses were excellent and appreciated. Not sure how the price compared with others, but every penny was worth it here, actually felt like a really good deal to me. She gave vow examples but also was super willing to accommodate our own personal vows. She may be based out of Lincoln City but she was more than willing to drive down to Newport for our wedding. Definitely 10 out of 10, highly recommended, you won't be disappointed in her services.

I don't even know where to start. I didn't know what to expect since all communication was through email or text. Melissa was so easy to work with, a true professional. She was always super fast in responding to my questions & giving suggestions. She was so sweet when we met her in person. Our ceremony was short & sweet but so beautiful. The renewal vows were perfect & she allowed us to have our kids participate in the sand pouring part of the ceremony. She even let them sign their names on our certificate which I thought was such a cute gesture. I would 110% recommend her services.

My husband and I eloped March 2025! We used Melissa as our officiant. She was so wonderful! She showed up on time, responded to emails quickly, and was very professional. Melissa was absolutely wonderful. I cannot recommend her services enough. She was incredibly flexible in accommodating my wife and I’s last minute elopement. We put together our ceremony within 4 days, and Melissa rolled with (and was excited for) the customizations we wanted in our intimate gathering. She provides template options (which you can customize with her) for your weddings, location and vendor suggestions and is responsive to all your needs. She’s LGBTQ+ supportive, and made us feel so warm when seeing we wanted to include a handfasting ritual in our ceremony. She takes care of all your marriage document obligations and is so communicative, friendly, warm, kind, punctual and takes any possible stress out of planning for your celebration. We couldn't have asked for a better officiant! Melissa was amazing from the first moment we texted her to the very end. She responded quickly to every question we had for her. She had recommendations for every aspect of the wedding in any price range. She was professional, showed up early, listened to our plan, and explained how the signing of the certificate would work, the witnesses, and after the ceremony, etc. She was exactly what we wanted for our ceremony!
We did not have a back up plan for our ceremony in case of rain and she was willing to weather it out with us. She said it is just "liquid sunshine". Love the positive attitude she had and she was encouraging all the way through.

Melissa helped us elope in less than a week! We were a little late arriving to our spot but she was very patient and welcoming. She also referred a photographer that would be available last minute as well. And she took care of all the paperwork side of things and found us witnesses, as we need 2 in Oregon and since it was so last minute we didn't have any. She also trooped it a decent walk to our beach spot which also required soft sand walking and a little bit of ankle deep water wading. We had a really wonderful small, intimate ceremony that was more perfect than I could explain. Thank you so much Melissa!

Great Experience!
My husband and I had to cancel our wedding twice because of Covid19. After waiting almost two years we decided on a whim to elope at our favorite beach. We did a quick search online to find an officiant and contacted Melissa. She was quick to respond, very helpful, and extremely knowledgeable. I appreciated her willingness to drive 30 min to our location and walk a brief distance down on the sand to where we had set up. She was a delight to work with and really helped make our day special.

I did not get to meet Melissa until the day of my wedding but she was so fantastic to work with because she covered so many details on her website and her contract that I never would’ve considered. Great experience for a last minute wedding
Melissa was great! Her responses were in a timely manner and very professional. She had the right amount of suggestions for the entire wedding from bakeries to locations to stay. Since this was a last minute wedding and I have not been to places around Lincoln City she shared her professional opinion of the spots to choose from. We chose Fogarty Creek as our location because we fell in love with it when we made a quick trip to check out locations. Melissa made sure to remind me about the tide and that meant to change our time. When I let her know that we had to change our time due to tide, she was very accommodating and agreed to the time of our choice. My daughter was emotional during the wedding and after the wedding Melissa was so sweet to her. Everything was easy as far as giving her all the paperwork and she made sure everything was turned into the courthouse. I would recommend Melissa for your wedding needs.

Melissa was so sweet and super accommodating! My dress was having a drastic malfunction and causing us to run behind schedule. Melissa was so kind to push our ceremony back so that we could still do our first look. She was super responsive to all of my questions and was just so warm when we finally met her. She was a great find and we highly recommend her!

Great officiant!
Melissa officiated our elopement in Manzanita. She was made the process feel very easy and even brought a second witness for us for a small fee. She was very professional and showed up on time, even in a storm! We highly recommend her!

My Perfect Wedding!
We were very fortunate to have found Melissa at Bliss and Energy Weddings. We had a very small and informal ceremony on the beach, Melissa was great, she struck a perfect balance between doing what we knew we wanted and guiding us through the parts we didn't have a plan for. Absolutely Amazing!
We decided to elope in August and in true Oregon Coast fashion, it was pouring down rain at the time of the wedding. We had originally planned to get married on the beach in front of the ocean, but I didn't want to make everyone (officiant, photographer, witness) miserable (and soaking wet). Thankfully, Melissa said that she would perform the ceremony anywhere we wanted, even if that meant we would all get drenched! That was just the attitude I needed to make the decision to head to the beach. And we did! It was a beautiful ceremony and I couldn't have asked for a more supportive officiant. Thank you Melissa!!

Melissa was so great! The wind was unbelievably crazy on the beach on our elopement day but Melissa did everything she could to make us feel better about it. Melissa was nothing but professional and accommodating despite our tardiness arriving to the elopement location. Speaking of the location, it was amazing (Fogarty Creek Park) and Melissa's suggestion. Our elop,emt ended being pretty last second, and Melissa helped us efficiently understand and complete the entire process without a hitch. Heceta Head Magic
Melissa was fantastic. She is incredibly organized and easy to work with. My husband and I were married up at the Heceta Head Lighthouse (next to the actual lighthouse, on oregon state park property) and Melissa was very ok with hiking up the half mile trail to meet and marry us! She provided step-by-step instructions on what we could expect and what we were responsible for in order to get married. She had lovely options for vows. Beautiful Ceremony
Our wedding ceremony was beautiful and I highly recommend Bliss and Energy Weddings! Melissa was very prompt and thorough with communication leading up to the wedding and made the whole process easy. We combined two of her ceremony script options and added a few of our own extra details. There were a few issues that came up during the rehearsal, but she took thorough notes of exactly what we wanted and everything went perfectly for the actual ceremony! We got multiple compliments of how beautiful it was and how well she spoke. After the wedding, she filed our license promptly with no issues. Bliss and Energy Weddings provides a good value and great service as an officiant and would be a great option for anyone.
