August wedding

Lina is the best!! She did my brothers wedding and my sister in laws sister wedding, so I knew when our time came around we had to use her too! She did amazing engagement photos, and provided the most incredible footage of our wedding day. She had a second photographer, and videographer with her. They were there for getting ready, pre-wedding photos, until the end of the night. She has such a great eye and our pictures were stunning. They completely capture every aspect of our day and provided so much footage. We forgot to have someone record our ceremony, so the videographer happily sent us the entire ceremony. We were so pleased with Lina, her staff, our photos, and videos!

Best Photographer!

Lina was without a doubt one of the best parts of our wedding! She was incredible. She was friendly, gave direction to us for some amazing photos, and absolutely went above and beyond. Would 1,000% recommend to anyone looking for a wedding photographer!

Love Our Photos!

We were SO happy with Lina throughout our wedding process - she made us feel so comfortable at our engagement shoot (and my husband and I are not usually comfortable in front of the camera!), she was so accommodating and patient during the wedding itself (even took the time to walk around the area in advance and find ideal areas to take photos) and of course we LOVE the final photos. I love Lina's use of light and color in her photos. Highly recommend!

Incredible Photos and Experience

Planning and replanning a wedding during a pandemic is no easy feat, but an amazing team makes everything easier. And we were so lucky and glad to have Lina as our photographer. She was patient, attentive, and helpful leading up to the wedding and on the day of was amazing. She was literally everywhere at all times and was able to somehow (being just a team of 1 for this small wedding) captured all our special and important moments while being COVID friendly. We just saw our photos and they are absolutely beautiful. She even dealt with crazy winds. We couldn't be happier! All of our guests also shared how incredible they thought she was (she has a great, upbeat personality) We highly recommend Lina.

Extraordinary photos, delivered with professionalism and flair!

Lina Jang is an absolute gem! I’m a professional journalist, and Lina is among the best photographers I’ve ever encountered. We recently hired her to document a family celebration, and her photos far exceeded our expectations. Her work is beautiful, and she has a rare talent for capturing both family portraits and candids with ease. She is professional, punctual, and cares deeply about delivering excellent results. Lina also is very kind and upbeat, and has a warm and sweet personality. I recommend her without hesitation!

Lina was wonderful

My husband and I got married at Battery Gardens in October and Lina was the only photographer we even spoke to. Her work is gorgeous and her energy is through the roof. She had fantastic ideas for locations and knew exactly how to stage our photos. Her and her team fell into the background but captured so much. She was easy to communicate and follow up with every step of the way. My only regret was that we didn’t also hire Lina as our videographer. She is wonderful and I can’t recommend her more.

Not your mom's wedding photos!

From the moment I saw Lina's work, I knew she was the right choice for our wedding. We didn't want traditional wedding pictures, but something with more of an artistic flair. Lina has such an artistic eye and coupled with her laid back personality and high level of professionalism, she is absolutely the right choice for anyone looking for some unique photos! We also used Lina's team for videography and are so happy we did! The videographer was completely professional and faded in to the background during our day which you would never know looking at the video! Amazing way to remember our most perfect day!

Lina was a 10 out of 10! While Lina makes recommendations, she really listens to what you want your pictures to be as well. The day of the wedding, she goes above and beyond to get it done. She’s flexible the day of as well. The final pictures were breathtaking. She captured the beauty of NYC and managed to get all the different moments from the day. You won’t be making a mistake by choosing her!

Truly A Life Saver!

If you are getting married at Battery Gardens, you NEED to hire Lina Jang. Of course, you should hire her wherever you're getting married, but she is the preferred vendor for this venue for a reason. It rained on my wedding day, and Lina was the captain that sailed our ship through the storm (literally). Her calm, cool collected composure when we had to revert to plan B truly saved the day. We have STUNNING photos in Grand Central (her idea!) for the most iconic NYC wedding photos I could have ever imagined. She truly goes above and beyond, providing well over the agreed upon amount of photos and staying with us until the very last song of the night. Not to mention a truly beautiful video if you hire her for that! And her pricing is extremely fair, especially if your getting married at Battery Gardens. 100% recommend!!

Lina did an amazing job! She got through all the photos quickly and kept everything relaxed and fun. The pictures just came in and I could not be more pleased. They look amazing and she caught every great moment. I highly recommend her.

Review Photographer Lina Jang

Lina Jang is the most creative, talented, passionate and amazing photographer out there. She not only took beautiful photos of our wedding day but made everyone at our wedding look so natural. She was able to capture the essence of each person and their emotions in such a spontaneous and off the cuff way. She put my husband and I at ease the whole time with her pleasant and calm demeanor. . Each photo that she took looks like a little movie, a little story that has been captured by Lina's lens. I will be forever grateful to Lina for capturing the beautiful and joyous memories of our wedding day. She is also a lovely person and very professional. I cannot recommend her highly enough !!!

My husband and I used Battery Gardens' preferred vendor, Lina Jang, for our photography and videography, and we were extremely happy that we did. Lina is incredibly talented and took so many fantastic photos. She was easy to get along with from the very beginning, very responsive to emails, very professional, and very reliable. We loved working with her for our engagement photos and found her energy to be contagious! We also enjoyed working with her secondary photographer and videographer the day of the wedding. We have not yet seen our video as we just got married on May 12 and we also still need to choose our photos for our thank you card and albums so we can not report on these, but so far our experience has been wonderful!

We used Lina Jang Photography for both our engagement and wedding photos and wedding videography. We had our engagement photos in Central Park in the fall, and she was able to highlight the essence of the vibrant city and also managed to capture personal, private moments within that busy space. We loved the photos from that day, and we were excited to have her document our wedding day as well. We had a mixture of clouds, rain, heat, and sun and through it all, she was excited, energetic, and professional. She made both my husband and myself feel very comfortable throughout the day, and it truly comes across in the photos! Our family and friends all agree that she did an incredible job. Lina and her staff were a pleasure to work with, and we highly recommend her for your special day!

Lina was AMAZING! For my husband and I, our pictures were the most important part of the wedding and we couldn't be more happy with the job Lina did. She has an eye for art which gave our pictures a unique but sophisticated vibe. We are still having a hard time picking our favorite because they are all that amazing. I loved how tough and relentless she was while taking the pictures, nothing got on her way which is the way a photographer needs to be. But don't be fooled, she is the biggest sweetheart and she definitely took the time to getting to know us so she knew exactly what we wanted. I would give her 10 stars if I could!!!

Best Decision!
We were so grateful to have Lina Jang as our photographer! Lina was extremely responsive and professional, and we truly appreciated her flexibility. She allowed us to customize our package (including videographer who was superb), and she even made the two-hour trek with us by train to Philadelphia for our engagement shoot. Even in this new location, Lina’s natural instinct and creativity was apparent, as well as her ability to make us feel comfortable and confident. The photos turned out absolutely stunning -well surpassing our expectations! Also, based on her vast experience, Lina provided us invaluable advice in planning our wedding day schedule, from the necessary timing for the essential activities to the best locations and ideas for our first look and bridal party photos. I would absolutely recommend Lina for your big day. You won't regret it!

Lina is AMAZING.! Just photographed our weddi c this past weekend at Ritz NY. She is excellent. She went above and. Shins to get every picture we asked for. Lina Jang is an absolute pleasure to work with. The whole experience was amazing; from our consultation up until the day she gave us our final proofs. She made the day so fun. Lina was absolutely amazing to work with. I felt after a couple of meetings with Lina, I no longer had to worry about the quality of our wedding pictures. With minimum direction, she captures the classic moments along with priceless candid shots. As one plans their wedding, you are worried or stressed about many aspects of the big day. Working with Lina, photography because the least of your worries. From the splendid engagement pictures to our wedding day, I am grateful to have found a professional, an artist and a friend to capture one of the biggest day of our lives. My Maid of Honor used Lina for her wedding 10 years ago, and when I got engaged, I knew I wanted Lina! She put me at ease and was so great to work with - I just recommended her to a co-worker. We hired Lina Jang Photography for our wedding at the New York Botanical Gardens (NYBG) in April 2015. We interviewed 3 or 4 photographers, most of them, including Lina Jang, were preferred vendors of the NYBG. We chose Lina because of her stunning and creative shots from other weddings as well as her friendly and fun personality. She and her team of photographers and videographers worked extremely hard on our wedding day and did an amazing job capturing beautiful moments from the simple shots of getting ready to the complicated party shots. She was also pleasant and professional during our interactions in coordinating before and after the wedding.

Lina is simply the best, most talented photographer out there. She is the only wedding photographer I "interviewed" and I pretty much signed the contract on the spot. Her bubbly and friendly personality assured me that I was making the right decision. From the beginning she totally understood what I wanted and just "got it." We also did engagement pictures with her and they were stunning. She was so creative with her approach- it amazed me.

Then comes the wedding- WOW!!!! The pictures were UNREAL! We will forever get to live our wedding over and over and over again because there was nothing that Lina and her team missed. They were literally in the action and captured all the best shots. I remember even seeing her team dancing along to the music and shooting pictures- that is dedication!!! The pictures are so amazing because it was so obvious how much Lina and her team actually cared about getting all the best, most amazing pictures (I don't think I can say the word amazing enough!!!)

It was such a pleasure working with Lina from day 1. As I mentioned, she is so friendly and warm and it is just so easy to work with her. Not only was my wedding a dream come true, but so are the pictures--- and I will have those forever.

I used Lina for both my engagement photos and for my recent wedding. I honestly can't say enough about her. Her work ethic is like no other! She came to my rehearsal to make sure she knew where to be and at what time during the ceremony, and then came to my rehearsal dinner and took photos there. The day of the wedding she was amazing. She showed up early, I never saw her stop working, and yet it almost felt like she wasn't even there. She managed to just kind of blend so you didn't feel uncomfortable, or that you needed to stop and pose every 5 seconds. She brought a second photographer with her, and we hired a videographer through her as well. She was reasonably priced, is a total perfectionist, and took some amazing shots. I still don't have my edited images yet (just got married 2 weeks ago), but based on how my engagement photos came out, I am confident they are going to be beautiful!
I love that Lina gives you a CD with all your photos, and that you own your own copy rights to the photos. Her photography skills are amazing, and she is just so artistic. Overall, my Husband and I love Lina and her work!

Absolutely fantastic! Lina and her team were both our wedding photographers and our videographers and we could not be any happier with our photos, video and wedding album! Lina also took our gorgeous engagement photos as well. Lina and her team were a joy to work with and made sure the entire day was captured from start to finish. Lina truly cares about her brides and made sure we had beautiful pictures of every last wedding detail. I cannot speak highly enough about Lina and her team. My husband and I hired Lina to be the photographer and do the videography for our wedding and we are so happy with both. From start to finish, Lina has been an incredible and professional photographer to work with. Lina comes to every single meeting fully prepared with all the details and hits the ground running making sure she listens to your needs for such a special day. Lina and her team were incredibly fun to work with on my wedding day. They made my HUGE wedding party feel comfortable and happy the entire time. My husband is not the most photogenic person and she was able to capture incredible smiles from him that blew me away. The passion and style is evident in her work. Lina took the time to understand the various needs we had in post production as well. Her social media presence is very strong and showcases her extreme talent and ability to full capture the most special day of your life. Her prices are also extremely fair and reasonable. I have already recommended Lina to several friends who are getting married and will continue to tell everyone how beautiful her work is. Lina is very knowledgeable, professional, and always prepared to cater to your needs throughout the wedding planning process. Finally, when it comes to responsiveness, Lina is top notch. Absolutely incredible! We hired both Lina as our photographer as well as her videographer and we could not be any happier with our decision. The team was professional and incredibly polite to our family and friends throughout the day. Lina's package also included a engagement shoot - our photos came out better than I could have even imagined! We also brought our dog to the shoot and we now how beautiful family photos that we still get compliments on! This is a no brainier - hire Lina and her team, you will not regret it! One of the most talented people I have ever seen in action.

We used Lina Jang for both our engagement shoot and our wedding and thought that she did an amazing job with both. She was extremely helpful throughout the entire process and was accessible, professional, extremely organized and friendly. We also loved the amount of flexibility we had in both choosing the types of photos we wanted taken, the timing of everything, and the format we wanted them delivered. We opted to receive a DVD with our edited digital photos for both sessions and were very happy with the quality of the work and we received far more photos than she had guaranteed in the package (we got 1600 photos when we were promised 1000.) With the files we were able to design our own photo books (although she would definitely make those for you too if you like.)

I think what impressed us both the most about Lina though was how she really managed both the engagement shoot and the wedding. Both days she had a very clear sense of what needed to get done by when and she worked very hard to keep us on schedule. The result was that we got every single photo we had asked for (and many more) and were still able to adhere to our schedule so that everything ran on time! She was very clear in her directions of how to stand and was vocal in clearing spaces for us to take photos in (even if it was nicely asking people to move for a second.) She was also a great guest at the wedding seamlessly blending into the crowd and not feeling like she was in the way.

In the end we are so happy that we chose to go with Lina and are very impressed with the quality of her work. It is clear that she loves her work, is a hard worker, and is very talented. We received everything that we were promised on time and we always had a lot of confidence that day of everything was going to turn out very smoothly. Finally, I think that the rates she charges are a very good value. We love our photos and look forward to having more shoots with her in the future.

Michelle and her team did an amazing job! They were able to use our venue (3 West Club) to it's fullest potential and take amazing pictures! They are a talented and professional group. They didn't even bat an eye when one of my bridesmaids had a little too much champagne and took their camera and started taking pictures herself!! I would recommend them to any bride. AMAZING!!! Enough said. My pictures were the best I have ever seen in a photographer. I am soooooooon very pleased. It was a pleasure to work with my photographers, I highly recommend them. They are all so talented.

Lina Jang and her staff/photography assistants were fantastic from start to finish. She worked with me to discuss my ideas and what is I wanted. She arrived to my house on time (and before I returned from my hair appt). By the time I arrived, she had arranged my dress in the perfect spot for her to photograph and was already to work. They did not miss a moment throughout the whole day. They had great ideas.... they did the traditional shots as well as some very creative and unique shots. While they didnt miss a moment, they were never obtrusive. In addition to their creativity, they were all extremely friendly, professional and made the day and picture taking fun. When you are looking for a photographer who is going to capture your day, Lina is the one. After our engagement photos, we were so thrilled that we had so many wonderful photos to choose from that we knew that our wedding day would be remembered forever with a beautiful album by Lina. Lina took the additional time to walk around the wedding venue, Battery Gardens, where she works frequently, and step by step described the type of photo that would be taken. We were so glad to have Lina and her team to shoot our wedding. I would definitely recommend anyone who wants a team of professionals that know what they're doing to really consider their craftsmanship. We were very pleased to work with Michelle and Marius who works for Lina. There wasn't more than a 5 min period where they weren't snapping photos, taking pictures every chance they got. We had them carry heavy equipment through Brooklyn bridge park and they still were on their toes. It was a long exciting day but all in all, it was definitely well worth it. Great photographers, great people. A++++

Lina was great!

Lina was a suggested photographer from our venue in NYC, and we were very happy we went with her! She was so easy to plan with, affordable, and provided a lot of helpful guidance ahead of time for our day-of timeline. She is familiar with a ton of beautiful spots all over the city for first looks, family shots, etc., and we were so thankful for her recommendations. She captured so many great moments (including an AMAZING drone video of our outdoor ceremony!) that we’ll be able to cherish forever. Thank you, Lina!!

Love our photos!

We used Lina as the photographer for our wedding in Nov. 2018 and we absolutely love our photos. Since it rained the entire day, we were a little nervous about not getting the best photos but Lina made the most of indoor spots in our venue and we came away with such beautiful memories. We were very impressed with Lina’s product - anything she gave to us - from the thumbdrive our digital prints were on to our printed album - was packaged beautifully and extremely professionally. Lina is the type of vendor who would go above and beyond and is happy to satisfy any of your requests.

We had our wedding at Battery Gardens and they recommended Lina to us. As soon as we met with her and saw her work we knew we wanted her to capture our wedding day. She walked us through the entire process and gave us lots of ideas. She also listened to our ideas and was very flexible about what we wanted. Even though we had our day planned out to the minute - things always come up and Lina and her crew kept me calm and ensured that we got all of the photos that we wanted. Our album and video are absolutely fantastic and everyone raves about how beautiful they are. We couldn't be happier with our photo memories. My husband and I hired Lina Jang Photography after seeing her and her team at his cousin's wedding in August 2013. We loved how they focused on the guests as well as the bride and groom since we wanted photos of our friends and family enjoying our day as much as us. From the beginning of the process, Lina was easy to work with, showing us many different options to work within our budget. We did not need to consider any other photographers after seeing Lina and Michelle's work. Lina was not available for the day of our wedding, but Michelle was just as amazing. We also had Michelle and Lina do engagement photos for us, which turned out beautifully. The day of the wedding, Michelle arrived with a second photographer and two videographers. They were early and were so easy to work with. They were unobtrusive while my family and I were getting ready and they captured so many beautiful moments. The wedding day was quite long and I had planned it out ahead of time with a schedule, but they were great about being flexible and changing things as needed or adding photo set-ups as opportunities arose. I never felt stressed out working with Michelle and she made me feel so calm whenever she was taking my picture and I'm not that used to having so many pictures taken! By the end of the night, we felt like Michelle and the rest of the crew were part of our party and loved working with them. We had a great time and it showed in every single picture. We have received endless compliments on the pictures and everyone loves looking through our photos, we can't show them enough! The highlight video is also another thing we love to show people and people can't get enough of that we get endless compliments on. We can't wait to receive the final album to share with our family and friends. We highly recommend using Lina Jang Photography for your wedding or other special event - you won't regret it!

Lina and I had a WRITTEN agreement that she would shoot my wedding in exchange for roundtrip airfare to and accommodations in Puerto Rico. She approved both flights and the Air BnB and signed the agreement with one written in amendment that she would not edit the photos. We were fine with that, but A FEW DAYS BEFORE the wedding she tells my family that she would need an additional $700 if she was going to shoot the wedding (mind you we had already booked all her accommodations). Unfortunately my family kept this information from me and they paid her. When confronted regarding the written commitment she said something to the effect of "That wasn't even a real contract." What that tells me is that she knew what she planned on doing all along. While the pictures were very nice, there is something very disgusting about her business practices and BEWARE if you choose to do any business with her. Did I mention she had (that ended as a result of what she did to me) a relationship with one of my family members? If she can do this with someone she had a relationship with, then what would she do to total strangers? Very hurtful and very shady.

Update- its now 8 months after my wedding & still no video. Truly baffled and disappointed. $2800... unreal.

Lina asked that I write a review, so I am although she will probably regret asking. After waiting 4.5 months for my wedding video, I opened it to find my name misspelled and my husband's name completely wrong both on the DVD insert and the opening credits. I married a man named Eddie, but my video claims my husband is named Anthony. An easy fix, I thought. No biggie. I pressed play and it only got worse. The entire video was essentially one static shot. During the "getting ready" shots, I was completely bored watching the long, unedited video of unflattering shots while we were getting ready. In fact, there were essentially no edits (except a very obvious jump cut when Lina knocked over a vase at my wedding. Sad attempt to cover it up. I was essentially given a DVD of raw footage. No music underneath the ceremony video--- just raw audio where you can hear footsteps and people talking (and you can hardly see me during my own wedding...) No videos of the 3 hours where my guests were out of their seats dancing and having an amazing time. No outside shots of our beautiful venue at night with the view of State of Liberty. No videos of my adorable nieces and nephews dancing their hearts out. No videos of my bridal party dancing. No video of my cousins and aunts and family dancing. (But there was a shot of random people outside my venue sitting down at a table?) The video was not in chronological order at times. The audio was horrible and the speeches were tough to here. The shots of my first dance were a joke. You couldn't even see my dress. I have never been more disappointed. I could have edited this in 8th grade using Windows Media Player. I truly hope this review spurs action and I am given a refund or a brand new video that actually reflects my wedding. I'd be embarrassed to put my name on this product if I were her.

She was part of the package we had with Ultimate Weddings USA. Waited two weeks for edits for a shoot that was an hour. Images were flat looking. Asked her to be creative. Nothing. Shots could've been taken by my 14 Poor use of beautiful back drop at Central Park No full shot of the pavilion we were married in. Bad use of the stupid fish eye lens. Pics proved she didn't care bout the shoot. Hence is why she prob never used any shots for her Facebook page. No one likes them. Thank god we used a diff studio for after the ceremony. Total waste of time and money
