Lighting Professors, especially Jennifer, were great to work with! They provided us multiple quotes until we made our final decision and were the first vendor in and out on our special day. They were very responsive and easy to work with, and they executed their role just as their name suggests - like professionals. I would recommend them to anyone looking for superior lighting for their event. -

We Recommend!
We worked with Lighting Professors for our September 2020 wedding at the Branch Museum of Architecture & Design. We didn’t need much to be done, but they provided beautiful, warm uplighting to bring the space together and complete the cozy vibe that we wanted. We also chose to have some bistro lights strung on the patio outside, which was the perfect touch as our guests floated in and out throughout the evening.
Lighting Professors was also extremely accommodating when we needed to reschedule our original April date due to COVID. We definitely recommend them, not just for their solid work, but for their professionalism and communication! -

Lighting was not something I considered when I started to plan my wedding, but then my photographer recommended looking into it and I saw it mentioned on a lot of wedding blogs. I was skeptical at first (as was my mom) but reached out to Lighting Professors anyway. We went to meet with them and our opinion changed (I think my mom was even more into it than I was after that meeting!) They were extremely professional and knowledgable, and also very flexible with adding services after I initially hired them. My reception was at the Jefferson hotel. Of course, there is lighting already there so it would not have been the end of the world not to have a lighting vendor, but I have to say the uplighting, which changed throughout first dances, dinner, speeches, really enhanced the room (and our pictures!) They worked seamlessly - I didn't even know they were there (other than seeing the change in lighting of course) If you're getting lighting for your wedding day, I could not recommend Lighting Professors enough. -

Highly recommend if you want to transform any space into something special
Lighting Professors are truly amazing. They were able to transform a very plain and very large white room into a beautiful wedding reception venue using up-lights, spot light, draping and waterfall lights behind the bridal party. We could not be more pleased. They also engineered and set up the speakers we used. Andy knew what would work electrically using the room's electrical system and not only set up all the up-lights and spot light, but also set up the coffee vendor's electrical outlet so a circuit would not be blown. I am also glad we hired a Lighting Professors person onsite during the event because he was able to work the spot light and change up-light colors during the evening, which really added to the ambiance. I highly recommend Lighting Professors. They do a fabulous job and Jen and Andy are such a pleasure to work with! -

The Lighting Professors are AMAZING. We hired them for both our rehearsal dinner and our wedding ceremony/reception, and we truly can't express how happy we were with our experience. Both venues started out extremely bare (a barn and an empty church fellowship hall), but the lighting and drapery completely transformed the atmosphere. Everyone kept commenting on how they had no idea the church fellowship hall could look so pretty. It looked like we had been transported to an entirely different space. From the uplighting to the waterfall lights to the color-changing lights on the dance floor to the beautiful draping, there is nothing the Lighting Professors can't do. Whether you are looking to add a little extra touch, or whether you are looking to completely overhaul a room, you will not be disappointed with the Lighting Professors. Thank you for making our wedding weekend so beautiful! -

Our venue was in need of some flair. The lighting professors brought that flair. The changed the whole feel of the room. Going into the event, I was unsure about the importance of lighting. I can tell you it was probably the most important add of the night. I highly recommend the Lighting Professors, THEY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING! -

Lighting Professors were amazing to work with from start to finish. Their team was super responsive and their consultation process was really fun and inspiring (who knew lights could be so exciting?)! John and Jennifer were very knowledgeable and easy to work with. They brought some amazing ideas and expertise while being honest about the budget and the value - I knew we were in good hands! We explained our vision to them and they totally ran with it. Their team made our event so much better than we ever thought was possible!
Their installation team spent an entire day setting up, they even stayed after the sun went down to make sure everything was PERFECT the day before our wedding (and it was)! They thought of absolutely everything! They transformed our private property into an amazing and magical wedding venue. We cannot thank them enough for all of their expertise and hard work, not to mention - the magical images of our guests and the event that were captured under their lights. We will always cherish the beautiful memories and photographs from that evening - all thanks to the amazing work of our vendors, especially the Lighting Professors!

I booked the lighting professors a few months prior to my wedding. Lighting was originally something I did not include in my budget because I didn’t see the “value” in it when I first started the planning process. Oh my goodness was I wrong!! After meeting with the Lighting Professors, viewing what they had to offer, and seeing the difference lighting made we were so thankful we added them to our team of vendors. They were one of the best decisions we made throughout our entire wedding planning process. They were timely, knowledgeable, efficient, and so easy to work with! Thank you Lighting Professors! -

Elizabeth Sent on 05/11/2017The Lighting Professors were by far the most organized and professional vendor I dealt with throughout the entire planning process of our wedding. The day I met with the guys at Lighting Professors there had been a power outage that morning and there internet was down, instead of turning me away they still had their entire presentation backed up and were able to run the consultation smoothly without internet. Their display room with faux wedding setting up to compare a reception space with and without lighting is very well done. The payment process was easy and pain free and everything was set up at our venue a few days before the event. The lighting at our reception space took it from pretty to gorgeous! We LOVED the barista lights over the dance floor and the Edison bulbs cascading down the exterior brick wall, it was a huge hit for selfies at the end of the night. -

Kaili Sent on 03/24/2018Our venue was at the Boathouse at Sunday Park, and they delivered as promised flawlessly - lots of subtle but impactful “wow” factor! I was obsessed with a chandelier that was a must have - and it was amazing! They also provided our pin lighting, up lighting and bistro lights in our outdoor tent. We trusted the communication between them and our planner. And, in the end we felt like the price was worth it.
