The absolute best venue ever!! The staff here is so amazing. The day of, everyone was so nice and willing to help in any way possible. You could tell they really cared about making it the best day for us. Autumn, the wedding coordinator truly made our experience so special! From the moment we met her, we knew we were in great hands. Our families and wedding party still talk about how amazing she is.. we all miss her! She has the bubbliest personality and genuinely cares about all her couples. I cannot say enough good things about her. We wouldn’t have had the same experience without her!
The venue speaks for itself. You can see all of ocean city, making it the perfect back drop for your ceremony and pictures! There are so many places to take photos and everywhere you look is a great background! I loved having the bridal suite to get ready in with all my bridesmaids. Nick & his groomsmen loved playing golf the day before! The bar is separate from the dance floor so it never feels too crowded. Many people took advantage of the patio outside and hung out there. It was truly the perfect place for all our guests! The gazebo is stunning for the ceremony! The BEST part… we got to bring our sweet golden retriever to take pictures with us which are our favorite pictures ever!!
We wish we could relive this day all over again. Thank you to the staff for making it the best day ever!! HIGHLY recommend having your wedding or next event here!!! -

Barefoot Bride Weddings had the absolute pleasure of working with the amazing team at Lighthouse Sound this past weekend for two weddings—one on Friday and another on Saturday—and we can confidently say, both events went off without a hitch!
From last-minute weather adjustments to flawless bar and food execution, Autum, Zeppy, Brittany, and the entire Lighthouse Sound staff were exceptional partners every step of the way. Their professionalism and flexibility made it seamless for our team to coordinate with couples, wedding parties, family members, and fellow vendors.
It’s always a joy to work with a venue that values collaboration and excellence, and Lighthouse Sound delivers both beautifully. We’re so grateful for the teamwork and can’t wait for the next celebration together!

Beautiful venue & amazing team
We had our wedding in September 2024 at Lighthouse Sound. From the moment we walked the grounds with Rose, we knew that this was the place we wanted to host our wedding. We opted for a tent outside and we had our ceremony service down by the marsh. This was truly a beautiful event and the entire team was organized and extremely nice. I wish we could do it all over again, it was magical!

Lighthouse Sound is an absolutely stunning wedding venue that offers an unforgettable experience for couples. From the moment we first visited, we were blown away by its beauty and charm. One of the standout features is that when you book this venue, you get the entire space to yourself, which is perfect for creating an intimate and personalized celebration.
We had a larger guest list (about 200 people), and Lighthouse Sound was spacious enough to comfortably accommodate everyone. On top of that, there was ample parking, which is a major plus for any wedding day.
A huge part of what made our experience so wonderful was Rose, the event coordinator. She was incredibly sweet, welcoming, and professional. From the start, Rose made us feel at ease and really sold us on the venue with her warm personality and expertise. She made the planning process smooth and stress-free, always being there to answer questions and provide guidance.
Unfortunately, due to unforeseen family issues, we had to cancel our date. This was a difficult decision, but Rose handled everything with such grace and understanding. She made the cancellation process seamless, which we deeply appreciated during an already challenging time.
Even though we didn’t get to celebrate our wedding at Lighthouse Sound, I would wholeheartedly recommend this venue and Rose to any future brides. If you’re looking for a gorgeous location with top-notch service, Lighthouse Sound is an incredible choice! -

If you’re looking for a wedding venue in Ocean City, this is the place to have it! Lighthouse Sounds exceeded our expectations and was very reasonably priced. Lighthouse sound not only has the best wedding venue, but they also have best wedding coordinator, Rose. She will make your big day run smoothly, and will make you feel like she’s part of your family. From the moment we began working with her, it was clear that this wasn’t just a job for Rose—she genuinely cared about making our wedding day the happiest day of our lives. We feel so lucky that she was there!
Rose’s level of care, attention to detail, and warmth was truly unmatched. She listened to every idea we had—no matter how big or small—and made them a reality. Whether it was a last-minute change, a creative suggestion, or a unique vision, Rose handled everything with grace and efficiency. She went above and beyond, making sure every single detail was perfect. She even made sure our timeline went as smoothly as possible throughout our wedding day. It was clear she had everything under control, which gave us the peace of mind to relax and enjoy every moment.
It was not just Rose either. All of their staff members were outstanding! They truly seemed like they cared about us and making the wedding the most fun and memorable it could be. They were kind, enthusiastic, professional, and attentive. I’ve never been to a wedding where all of the staff were this great! Seriously they were that fun!
The venue itself was absolutely breathtaking too. The moment we stepped in, we knew it was the perfect place for our special day. The setting was everything we dreamed of—elegant, romantic, and perfectly suited to the atmosphere we wanted to create. It was the ideal backdrop for a wedding that we’ll remember for the rest of our lives
And let’s talk about the food! We were blown away by how incredible every dish was. From the Hor’dourves to the main courses, everything was delicious and beautifully presented. And the sorbet in-between dishes was absolutely perfect. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about how great the food was either.

Dream Wedding on the Bay
We recently had our wedding at Lighthouse and I truly don’t even know where to begin. It was beyond more than our dreams. Rose was absolutely amazing from the beginning. She made the planning and the day of seamless. We didn’t have to worry about a single thing. She was so responsive, provided guidance, so flexible to what we wanted, and we truly feel like she became a friend by the end of it. It wouldn’t have been the same without her!!
My fiance and I toured a few venues in the area and instantly knew this would be the one. The view here is effortlessly breath taking. We were able to have the dream sail cloth tent on the water that we always wanted.
The guest are still raving about the food. We had many people say it was the best food at a wedding they have ever had. They were complementing how hot, how many, and how tasty the hors d'oeuvres were served at cocktail hour and the drinks were flying around everywhere!! And the service!! The service provided to our guest throughout was just unbelievable. We truly felt every single person working our wedding was “for the guest” and they thought that as well.

The perfect day!
We had such a great experience with having our ceremony & dinner at Lighthouse Sound. Every aspect of the day was perfect & truly seamless. Rose was spectacular! Her communication was stellar & she arranged the best day for us. She was there from start to finish—we didn’t have a thing to worry about. She took care of everything from creating a timeline to helping us pack up afterward. We wanted to do a very small but meaningful ceremony and she brought it to life! The food was delicious and the venue is beautiful. The guys had a great time playing golf the day before (included) & loved shopping in the pro shop after. I cannot say enough good things!

Perfect Graduation Celebration
We had a wonderful experience hosting a high school graduation celebration for our son at Lighthouse Sound. The team at Lighthouse Sound guided us through the planning process to ensure every detail was considered and planned carefully. On the day of our celebration the staff was amazing, the food was delicious and the views captured as a back drop in our photos were stunning. The weather was perfect and after dinner our group was able to enjoy time on the beautiful deck overlooking the bay complete with comfy seating and fire pit. It was a perfect evening. Amazing Experiene
Our wedding went perfectly! The price was very reasonable because we had a short, winter reception that was beautifully decorated with winter lights and of course a beautiful view. Every member of their team was extremely attentive and polite. Plus their coordinator Rose is the best! My husband and I were married at Lighthouse Sound on September 8th. To say that our day was perfect would be an understatement. Here is our review…
The Space: We continue to have our guests tell us that this was the most beautiful wedding venue they have ever seen even months after our wedding. Our ceremony took place in the gazebo, cocktail hour on the patio, and reception in the tent (rented from Coastal Tented Events). All with incredible water views, cooling breezes, and great light. We were blessed with amazing weather, but also loved the indoor backup plan.
The Staff: During the planning process, we worked with incredible coordinators. Shellie and Rose were THE BEST to work with. Rose joined the team later in our planning process and we were lucky enough to have her and Shellie both as our coordinators as our wedding was Rose’s first. They were willing and excited to answer my one million questions the months leading up to the wedding. Shellie communicated with our other vendors and gave recommendations every step of the way. Their day-of coordination was SPOT ON. They made sure every decoration, floral arrangement, sign, etc. was perfect and that the entire schedule of the day ran smoothly. The wonderful bartenders and servers provided outstanding service for my husband and I and all of our guests. The drinks were great and the food was incredible. Which brings me to the food…
The Food: We loved how many options were available when selecting our menu… dinner tiers, plated or buffet style, hors d’oeuvres, and desserts. Having the catering done in house was so helpful and made our planning process easier.
The Golf: My husband loves to golf! He enjoyed playing the course on the morning of our wedding (he got one foursome for free). The pro shop was happy to help with scheduling tee times for his groomsmen and our other family members that played as well. He said this is one of his favorite courses he has ever played!
We cannot recommend Lighthouse Sound more. We had the most incredible wedding and credit so much of that to the wonderful people and experience Lighthouse Sound. We can’t wait to come back for more meals and golf next time we are in town. -

Everything for our wedding from planning the day to execution went perfectly. LHS is a beautiful venue that overlooks the bay. They were able to work with our requests and made sure it was everything that we wanted. All of our friends and family raved about the views and how good the food was. People are still talking about how awesome the food was! Rose who helped coordinate the day was an absolute angel. She deserves an olympic medal for all the running around she did to make sure everything went smoothly. Everyone at LHS made sure to take care of us and our friends and family. I would 1000% recommend LHS for your wedding. -

AMAZING venue and team!!
The entire wedding process with Lighthouse Sound was the most amazing experience we could have imagined. Katie, the event coordinator at the venue was absolutely incredible. She made sure we had everything we needed from the very first time we stepped foot in the building until the very last minute of the wedding. The entire staff was extremely friendly and wonderful on our big day. The food was tremendous. From the hours d'ourves, to the salad, and the intermezzo sorbet, all the way through the main course. We have never been to a wedding where they asked each guest how they liked their steak cooked. We cannot believe how much attention to detail that Katie and her team used to make sure our day was cemented as the best day of our lives. Usually there is always one or two things that folks regret about their wedding day, but we honestly could not say anything bad about our special day and it had all to do with how great Katie and her team were.Lighthouse Sound's reply:

My husband and I had such a phenomenal experience working with Lighthouse Sound as our wedding venue. We had both our ceremony and reception at Lighthouse Sound and couldn't have imagined a more perfect event. We came to Lighthouse Sound after plans fell through with our initial venue due to the pandemic. While Covid was an unwelcome surprise, we found Lighthouse Sound to be an even more perfect fit than the venue we had initially planned on. We worked with Debbi and Shellie and they were both so helpful, responsive, and all around fun to work with! We only had about 50 guests at the event because of the pandemic, but Lighthouse Sound was incredibly flexible in accommodating our party. Even though we weren't the largest group, we always felt like they valued us and were very attentive to every detail and question. Our guests loved the setting and view, in addition to the food and drinks. It was an amazing experience and I am so thankful for everything the team at Lighthouse Sound did to make our day so perfect! -

We had our wedding here this past weekend...absolutely perfect!! The venue is incredible, amazing views of ocean city and beautiful natural landscaping. And a bridal suite!! The staff was excellent and the food was DELICIOUS - especially the bacon wrapped scallops and the steak!! Lauren was our wedding coordinator. She was SO accommodating and made the whole process stress-free!! Our wedding was perfect :) -

Just had our wedding at Lighthouse Sound 1 week ago and it was amazing and beautiful and flawless! We went to so many venues before we found Lighthouse Sound, and once we saw it and Lauren told us what they had to offer ....we were hooked! There’s not one bad view in the whole venue! The entire staff from the servers, to bartenders, to hosts, to the wonderful coordinator Lauren Thorp were professional, knowledgeable, friendly, polite and overall just great people at every encounter. Oh and the food! Delish! I had guests texting me the next day about how good it was!!! I can’t go on enough about this staff and how highly I recommend this venue! I wish I had the professional pics to post already bc they would show the views and venue off so much better, but was able to get a few from friends and family! :) -

We got married at the Lighthouse Sound on 9/21/19. Lauren and the staff were phenomenal. Lauren was beyond helpful throughout the whole planning process. Whenever I had a question or concern or needed to change something, she was prompt with a response and always accommodating. She was so calm, cool and collected during the planning process and the day of, it put me at ease. The venue is beautiful, the food is always delicious and everyone had a great time! I can't put into words how happy I am to have had Lauren's help, along with the rest of the staff, and I'm so happy we chose the Lighthouse Sound for our special day! -

My fiance and I went to go check out Lighthouse Sound as a potential venue. Lighthouse would be a beautiful venue and has some more affordable wedding packages if you are a bride on a budget. When my fiance and I went on a tour, everyone was extremely nice and all of our questions were answered. I would have totally picked Lighthouse Sound as a choice if my fiance and I didn't decide on a destination wedding instead! A note for brides with a smaller guest count: check this place out! I had a guest count of 20-40 people and they were more than willing to work with me! -

From the moment we walked into Lighthouse Sound we knew it would the venue we would get married in. All the planning and prep that led up to our big day was made easier by Lauren, the wedding coordinator. The venue has a perfect location, situated just outside of the main hustle and bustle of OCMD. The backdrop of our ceremony and our pictures left us and all of our guests in awe! My husband and I will forever be thankful for Lauren and the staff at Lighthouse Sound. Our day could not have been more perfect. Leading up to our wedding, Lauren was always responsive to my emails, and she was willing to help out in any way she could. We were an out-of-town couple (we live in California), so her help was appreciated in every step of the way. It ended up raining our wedding day, but Lauren and her staff made sure the day was executed perfectly. The staff who worked our reception treated everyone like family. Lighthouse Sound is a beautiful place to have a wedding. I highly recommend having your wedding here. When my husband and I got engaged we contacting Lauren Thorp the event Coordinator right away because we knew they book up fast and we couldn't see ourselves getting married anywhere else in the area. Lauren Thorp is absolutely amazing. She is easy to work with. She works extremely hard to make your day special. She is very organized and caring. In fact, she goes above and beyond what her job title is. If I had a concern, problem or question she got back to me right away.
When I walked into my reception everything was PERFECT!!! I have to give all the credit to Shellie, Lauren, and the staff at Lighthouse. They made my wedding the absolute best day of my Life! I was so very happy with everything. My parents who actually paid for the entire wedding were even more impressed with everything. ( My parents have been to a lot of weddings, ones that cost 300,00 dollars and they said this venue, staff, food and everything about lighthouse sound was better then any of those weddings they had been too)
The food is absolutely delicious. We decided to go with a buffet with all the eating allergies our guests had. Everyone at our wedding couldn't stop raving about the food.
My guest enjoyed my wedding very much. They must have told my parents a hundred times that this was by far the best wedding they have ever been too. These amazing reviews could not have happened without the Staff who made this day amazing. The staff at lighthouse sound are so accommodating, friendly, and fun. I love how they were always on top of everything. Food came out promptly, clearing of the plates was on point and their mannerism were perfect. Overall, my husband and I would highly recommend Lighthouse Sound. Everything was perfect. Nothing went wrong at all!! -

We cannot say enough great things about Lighthouse Sound! First of all, their venue is GORGEOUS. The water and the ocean city skyline is beautiful day and night. Second, they are a pleasure to work with. Lauren Thorp was our coordinator and she went above and beyond every expectation to make our day a success. She is such a warm and welcoming person, we felt at home with her from the very first day. Lastly, everyone at the venue was so accommodating and attentive. From the bar staff, to the waiters, to the chefs, to Lauren, everyone doted on us to make it our best day ever. You can't go wrong choosing Lighthouse Sound for your special day.
(PS- if you are worried about it feeling too much like a golf course, you won't even NOTICE. They have so many gorgeous locations for photos-- a dock on the water, a wooded area, a private beach!!! From inside the venue and from the photos, you cannot even tell it is a golf course. It just looks like a fairytale!) -

Scott Sent on 03/22/2018I can't say enough nice things about The Restaurant at Lighthouse Sound. My daughter just had her wedding there. Great "one-stop shopping": the contract included the site, set-up, the ceremony, the food, the open bar, and Lauren, our amazing wedding planner. The manager, Shellie, was sharp, too. The food was delicious. The waiters were extremely courteous and responsive. And the scenery was really, really something -- your photographer will have a lot to work with. My duaghter had her wedding here in June 2025. The wedding coordinator, Autumn was amazing- she worked with us every step of the way. She was extremely organized and communicated with us in a timely manner all the way up to the big day. On the day of the event, the entire staff stepped up to the task of making sure the day was exceptional - even when plans (seating chart) changed. They went above and beyond to cater to the wedding party throughout the day, making sure everything was set up properly including the DJ booth which was a bit bigger than we expected. There were no slackers - everyone worked very hard all day and through the night to set up, serve the incredible food, and clean up. The Venue was beautiful. The gazebo is a great backdrop for a wedding, and they allowed us to install a hanging flower arrangement to make it even more special. They drove our older guests to and from the ceremony on golf carts and made sure they didn't have to wait long for their ride. Again, the communication before and during the event was awesome. I highly recommend Lighthouse sound for a wedding. -

Autumn and her team were phenomenal! Every person who works there was helpful, friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of and did everything they could to bring our vision to life.
Though you can get the entire facility for your event, golfers are still on the course and can drive by, directly behind your guests, during an outdoor ceremony
Regardless, our guests couldn’t stop raving about the venue and the view. The food is some of the best we’ve had anywhere and we will be stopping in for lunch any chance we get! -

Stunning Venue
We had the most incredible wedding at Lighthouse Sound. The food was unbelievable. Everyone was talking about how it was "the best wedding meal they've ever had." The staff is so friendly and accommodating. The space is perfect for those who love to dance and also for those who would prefer to talk and relax at the bar.
It was an extremely windy day and the staff did their best to work with the conditions. Unfortunately, we did not get to utilize an outdoor bar or the patio for cocktail hour. I think that would really add to the guest experience.
When considering as a venue, be sure to inquire about their included coordination. If they do not have a full time coordinator on staff, I highly recommend hiring an external coordinator or planner if you have unique timeline elements. The owner and manager are fabulous people and work really hard. Just be aware that the coordination role is a big one and requires a lot of one on one time with the couple if you are not looking to throw a standard/traditional wedding.
Our guests were blown away by the exclusivity of the club and the privacy for the wedding. It was a pleasure to have our marriage be celebrated at Lighthouse Sound. We look forward to celebrating our anniversary at Lighthouse with a delicious meal each year. -

Elizabeth Sent on 09/16/2018When my husband and I saw Lighthouse Sound, we were done! This venue has it all. Great views, great food, wonderful staff and planning coordinator. It created the perfect intimate yet causal experience we were looking for. We also had our dog in the ceremony as our flower girl Lighthouse was accommodating and wonderful. The ONLY downside for me, I had 3 different coordinators between the time we booked the venue and our wedding date, some details of the day were mixed up because of it.
