I was lucky enough to be able to book this team for both my microwedding (video and photo) as well as my postponed larger wedding 1 year later (just video).
Rick is super responsive, patient, and informative. His team was prompt and professional. The resulting images were beautiful! My only regret is that I did not use the team for my larger wedding photographs as well! If you are in the Southern California area I highly recommend Rick and his team. -

Book them! From everything I researched when planning my wedding, it said never to skimp on the photographer and I'm so glad that I went with LifeStory.Film! There was enough communication beforehand where I felt like they really understood what I was looking for with the images, they had good communication with me throughout the months before my wedding to plan out a timeline and list of pictures to make sure to hit. And the day of, they made me feel so comfortable getting my picture taken- their documentary-style is really amazing with how they just captures special moments without imposing on your day or taking you out of being with your bridesmaids, family, or new spouse. My husband and I got married in August and we could not have asked for a better photographer for our wedding. Having met for coffee I knew immediately LifeStory.Film was the right choice. They could not have been nicer and you feel how passionate they are about their work.
On the day of the wedding they immediately made us both relaxed and comfortable in front of the camera. Throughout the day they gave the perfect amount of direction to get beautiful pictures of Mark and I as well as capturing photographs of us just enjoying ourselves with the ones we love having moments on film that we will treasure forever.

When the time came to choose a wedding photographer my fiancé Dev and I didn’t really have a discussion about it. The photos we saw from other LifeStory.Film weddings sold us. Not only that, but during the planning LifeStory.Film was such a great help with other wedding related questions about transportation, venues, etc. They were obviously professionals with a ton of wedding experience and were willing to share even when it was out of the photography category. Our wedding itself was, amazing. I feel, as I’m sure most brides do, that we had the most ideal wedding; but I swear, somehow, this supremely talented team made it look even better than it actually was! The best wedding videographer
When looking for a wedding videographer the thing that jumped out at me about LifeStory.Film was this sentence from one of their social media pages: “European style with American quality.” That really spoke to me because it’s exactly what my fiancé (now husband) and I were looking for. We wanted video that would be truly elegant, classy and memorable, but also functional, high-tech and easily usable on our own social media pages. LifeStory.Film definitely delivered on what they wrote. We went with the wedding video package that included a pre-wedding videographer, two videographers on the ground the day of the wedding and a drone videographer (plus lots more). The Instagram teaser of our wedding was amazing and all our friends, family and tons of strangers loved it. The edited feature film was just that – a film – about us. It was unreal and better than anything we ever expected. From start to finish, out experience with LifeStory.Film was just absolutely phenomenal. They exceeded our expectations and captured our wedding and love so perfectly, professionally and elegantly. Honestly, I can’t recommend them enough. -

The pictures we received are stunning
Regarding our wedding photo experience with LifeStory.Film as our photographers, we can't say enough positive things. They were so easy to work with before the wedding, great to have there on the day of (unobtrusive during the intimate moments, but still catching many really wonderful shots), relaxed and professional to be around, and the pictures we received are stunning. I think what my husband and I value most about them is that they tell the true story of the day. To us, that is the most important thing about wedding photos (and all photos in general) – that they can make you feel like you are in a place or time again; reliving the moment. We didn’t want photos that were so over touched or edited or insanely posed that they didn’t truly reflect our day. We wanted to keep it real, but in a very elegant, special way and that is exactly what we received from LifeStory.Film. Ten, twenty, hopefully forty years from now we can look back on these photos and be transported right back to that most special day of our lives. That’s a true gift. -

Rick and his team were world-class from the moment we first filled out their online contact form to the moment we said goodbye at our reception.
When it came time to choose a photographer for our wedding we wanted a true professional. It’s easy to throw together a website and social media accounts and call yourself a professional wedding photographer, but we wanted the real deal. We found that in LifeStory.Film. What first attracted us to them was that even though they’re based in California, they’ve done weddings all over the country, including New York and Chicago (where we’re from). It’s one thing to be known as a great photographer in your region, but to have a nationwide appeal is an entirely different level. That highest level is what we wanted and that’s what we got with LifeStory.Film. Rick and his team were world-class from the moment we first filled out their online contact form to the moment we said goodbye at our reception. And the photos were just as impressive. Our photos are truly those European inspired works of art I longed for.
As much as I wanted to, getting married in my favorite place in the world – Italy – was not in the budget for our wedding. So, I decided I wanted the next best thing, a photographer whose photos could conjure up the beauty, love and emotion of Italy (where my husband Marcus and I met during study abroad). I knew I found the perfect photographer when I saw on LifeStory.Film’s website that Rick’s idol and artistic inspiration was the amazing Italian filmmaker Federico Fellini. The photos on their site were so reminiscent of his work – romantic and sultry, but earthy and genuine. That is exactly what I was searching for and Rick delivered those feelings in our wedding photos too. I could look at our photos all day long, every day – they are absolutely gorgeous and timeless. I feel like we didn’t have a wedding photographer, so to speak, but a wedding artist – our photos are truly those European inspired works of art I longed for. Thank you Rick. -

I honestly didn't expect it to turn out so well, especially since the service was so inexpensive. The editing was very creative and it brought my family to tears when we watched the finished product. Also we got all the raw data so we can relive the whole night whenever we want.
The HD studio team was very kind and extremely communicative. They edited our video very quickly and asked for feedback.
To be completely honest, I don't think I could have possibly chosen a better company to film our wedding. -

Emma and I hired Rick's team to be my wedding's videographer. They were able to work with my photographer smoothly during my wedding day - great communications from Rick's team. I used their video package + drone with some customization. Rick was very patient to help us build our own package based on our needs. His work was turned around within the promised 1-2 months time frame. This is really unheard of among my friends - they typically take 6-12 months, and Rick stick to his 1-2 months! Finally, we took our comments and edit the videos for us, great customer experience throughout. -

Every couple is so different when it comes to planning a wedding and what their number one priority is. We found Pollina through an ad on Google, and we couldn't have been happier. We instantly noticed a unique look in her photos that captured such emotion and individual charm. She was very easy to work with. We had an engagement photo session a few months before the wedding so we could get a feel for working together and they came out great. She was easy to communicate with and we continued to meet sporadically to go over the usual preparation (i.e. family lists, group shots, etc.). On the day of she was there early with her crew and everyone was extremely professional and on the ball. The final photos were delivered a few weeks after the event and had that fantastic vintage, romantic style that we love. Highly, highly recommend. This is a very talented photographer!!!! -

My husband and I got married on the beach in Malibu, CA this past February. At the last minute, our original photographer fell through. I struggled to find good videographers that were not only available on short notice but also affordable. I contacted Life.Film only weeks before our big day. I had a terrible experience with Life Film. I initially contacted Life Film based on a friend's recommendation from her own wedding in 2016, despite the fact they were located in CA and I was located in NY. Pauline, at the time of the initial booking over the phone, told me that she would fly in to head the team located in NY at our wedding but only a few weeks before my wedding I found out that she would not be flying in. The team that did show up to our wedding told our guests that they were actually sub contracted. The only reason I didn't take this company to court is because (and watch out for it!) there's a CA arbitration clause in the contract and I determined that the cost of arbitration in CA would be more expensive than the cost of the services themselves. The quality of the photographs were disappointing, often blurry, looking in different directions (even posed photos due to a lack of direction from the photographers) and a strangely enough, even though what we received felt like a photo dump as opposed to a combed through set of their best photos, there felt like there many photos missing. For example, there are literally only 2 of the flower toss (even though we did a few "fake throws" for additional shots) neither of which were flattering. In part, this was because the photographers were consistently no where to be found and took an excessive number of breaks (I counted at least 4, one of which was most of the reception after the first dance) so we had very pictures of the actual reception after the first dances - even our guests commented and one kindly stepped in to take photos in their place so that would have some actual photos from the reception with our friends. Our highlight video was only 3 minutes long and in large part of the garden (think pictures of bees, flowers etc) rather than us and our actual guests. Overall we had a terrible experience with them and would not recommend their services. -
