Cris was great to work with, from our first zoom interview until the ceremony. During the initial interview, he was extremely organized and answered every question we had and we felt very secure in our choice of having him as our officiant. We were in search for an officiant and found Cris on the Knot. After the first meeting via Zoom we booked with Cris. He was very professional and made the entire process easy explaining different parts and listening to what we wanted our ceremony to be. We liked that we were able to read through the ceremony and Cris provided us a couple different readings until we found the one we liked. We also now have a copy of our ceremony for keepsakes as well. It was nice walking into our rehearsal and him having it all together and running it very smoothly. He is also VERY responsive, which is great during the wedding planning process! We can’t thank Cris enough for being our officiant! If you are in need of an officiant, we would highly recommend Cris!

Where do I even start! Hiring Cris was one of easiest and best choices my husband and I made for our wedding. Our first meeting to discuss what we wanted for our ceremony we were kind of clueless. Cris helped explain everything and gave so many options to make our ceremony more about our relationship. From there we played with the contents of the ceremony to make it ours. For us we wanted something personal, little religion, with lots of laughter. And that is exactly what our ceremony was. So many guests have expressed our ceremony is one of their favorites because of Cris.
I was so stressed about the actual ceremony part but Cris made the process so easy. We cannot thank him enough for making our wedding so special to us.
He even helps with the after! Planning a wedding is already a lot but after you get the marriage license he takes care of the rest and gives you tips on name changing! Everything even after the wedding has been a breeze because of Cris!

Cris was fabulous! In the beginning, we had a zoom call with a handout he provided that explained the flow of the ceremony, along with different options for the unity part of our ceremony. He sent out a detailed questionnaire about how we met, what our plans are, memories, etc. that he used to create our ceremony. He then drafted it up and was willing to change it however many times we needed until we were happy. He always responded to my emails within an hour of me sending one. We had several guests speak to him afterwards about how great he was. He was flexible with scheduling our rehersal with the venue as well. 10/10 experience and would recommend to others!

Cris was absolutely wonderful to work with. My wife and I were coming from different religious backgrounds and we didn’t want either element to overpower the other in the ceremony and he did a beautiful job blending it all together. Cris also met with us as much as we needed to review the drafts he created, and made any changes we requested in a prompt manner. He made suggestions to us when we asked for it and was always available for questions when they arose.
Above all, Cris was efficient. He made sure we knew timelines and what to expect during the rehearsal and ceremony which was such a relief in the planning process. All we had to do was show up for both nights and he took care of the rest 😊
He delivered a beautiful ceremony for us and our guests, and we could not be more grateful. Beyond that, he has been a great resource for us for any marriage license, name change, etc. items that we had to do in prep for the wedding and then after.

Cris was so incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. He made us feel comfortable and confident of our ceremony months in advance. He also did an incredible job of leading the rehearsal, even with a few (young) distractions. Our ceremony was perfect. He gave us ideas to work with for a unity element that tied our families together better than we would have ever thought to do. He added bits of humor to keep it light, but was very professional the whole time. He took care of our license following the ceremony, and because of him, we had nothing to worry about from start to finish. He set clear expectations and gave us the guidance we were hoping for. Cris is very detail orientated, he helped us achieve a nice flow for our ceremony. My family and friends loved our ceremony! It was the perfect mixture of tradition, religion, and fun with personal touches throughout. During the planning process Cris gave us a little “homework” to do with plenty of time to complete it. From the “homework” we completed Cris was able to personalize our ceremony. He sent a rough draft for approval, I found that this really helped ease my nerves for the day of the wedding because I knew what to expect. I would highly recommend Cris as an officiant!

Amazing officiant!!
Cris was absolutely amazing. Not only was he helpful throughout the entire process- he truly made our ceremony one to remember. From our first call, we knew that he was going to capture our story perfectly and he did just that. His attention to detail allowed everyone to understand not only us as a couple but where our story started and how we got to our special day. Seriously, don't go with anyone else
Cris was everything we could have hoped for even when our wedding day was impacted by COVID. Cris is wondeful!
Cris was so wonderful as our officiant for our ceremony on 09/26/20. We met with Cris early on, and he walked us through the entire process and typical order of a ceremony, which was incredibly helpful. After deciding to have Cris officiate, he was always quick and responsive in all communications. He was more than willing to make adjustments or rewrite portions of our ceremony, and it was evident it was very important to him that our ceremony was exactly what we wanted. When we couldn't decide on a reading, Cris promptly sent over several to choose from, and ensured us he had more if we didn't like those. The day of our wedding, Cris was professional, warm and funny performing our ceremony. He even snagged a picture on his phone of us getting family portraits following the ceremony, and sent it to us later that evening. So thoughtful!! He also handled everything with our marriage license, and made sure we remembered the needed documents on the big day. Even though St. Charles is no longer providing keepsake marriage licenses, he went out of his way to get one for us. He also offered to help me through the name change process, when I finally get around to it! Cris was incredibly enjoyable to work with and did a wonderful job officiating our ceremony - if you select him for your big day, you won't regret it!

Highly Recommend!
My husband and I can't thank Cris enough for not only being a part of our big day but also helping us afterwards with the marriage license! Planning a wedding during a pandemic wasn't the easiest thing we've ever done but we knew from our first Zoom call with you that we were in good hands. The time and thought Cris put into our ceremony helped deliver the best ceremony speech we've ever heard. You could say that I might be biased since it was for my wedding but we were told over and over by our guests that it was the best ceremony they've ever attended!
Not only did Cris deliver an amazing ceremony speech, he was also willing to help us when we had to change venues a month before the date. Then on top of that, he met me at City Hall, a month later, to help get our Marriage License (which was "lost in the mail"). Thankfully, he was very organized and kept a copy so that they were able to use that!

Cris is professional, easy to work with, and his communication is top-notch! He made planning our ceremony so easy! He gave us lots of guidance and options to completely customize it ourselves and make it personal and fitting for us.
One of the coolest stories about our wedding - we had to reschedule due to COVID. Miraculously, all of our vendors were available for our rescheduled day... except for Cris.
He had a rehearsal scheduled for the day of our wedding (Friday). He wanted to make it work so badly. He called the other couple, explained our situation, and gracefully asked if they’d be willing to change the time of their rehearsal so he could be at our ceremony. He did NOT have to do that! That was so kind. I have shared that story so many times, and I think it speaks volumes about Cris. He truly cares for his couples and loves his job!

Cris was the only piece of the puzzle we were missing and he was perfect! Cris works with you and makes the ceremony personalized to each couple! My husband and I did not get married in a Catholic Church, but were both raised catholic so by our request he added special prayers and readings to our ceremony. Cris is an amazing officiant. We have been working with him for over a year and I cannot say enough good things. He takes the time to get to know you as a couple and to make sure that your ceremony is exactly what you are wanting, no matter how many edits go back and forth. Due to COVID-19 we postponed our wedding and chose to do a smaller ceremony and then we ended up having to cancel. Then at the last minute we decided to still get married. Cris was supportive and flexible with every change we were making. We are so thankful that we are getting to use him for our postponed celebration next year as well. Felt like we knew him for years
Cris wrote the most beautiful ceremony for our wedding. We felt comfortable working with Cris from day 1. He followed up with us when needed and was always prepared. He felt more like a friend and was always very professional. He's so prepared that he even brings his own microphone and sound system in the event that the venue's fails. Everything was made to feel so personal and he really grasped our story. He took the time to ask questions and really get to know us and the details of our wedding. We were nervous before booking Cris that things wouldn't be personal with someone we had never met, but Cris took all that worry away. The first draft brought tears to my eyes and had the best quotes. We couldn't have asked for anyone or anything better. Tony and I had the perfect day. Cris at Life's Celebrations was wonderful to work with! He was always prompt to respond and will certainly keep your family/friends in order and on time the day of your wedding. We had an amazing wedding ceremony, thanks in part to our excellent officiant, Cris, with Life’s Celebrations. Cris was very prompt with his responses, and always replied in less than 24 hours. Cris did a great job of listening to our story and vision for the ceremony, and helped weave a beautiful script that had all the components we wanted. Cris is a dedicated, kind, and a passionate wedding officiant! We had the best experience with Cris as our wedding officiant. After a lot of research and him being one of the preferred officiants for Silver Oaks Chateau my fiancé and I met with him and knew right away he was exactly what we were looking for. He was always very prompt with his replies to our questions and made our ceremony custom to mine and my fiance's vision. He revised our ceremony draft twice until he knew it was just what we wanted! When our guitarist backed out a month before the ceremony we reached out to Cris for recommendations and he was super helpful and got us in contact with the piano player who ended up doing our ceremony music! He really does go above and beyond to make your day perfect. Everything from the rehearsal to the day of went just as planned and was stress free. I would absolutely recommend Cris to anyone looking for a professional, flexible and personable officiant for their wedding. Cris was wonderful from the moment I started the process with him up until the very end. I was sad to see him go at the end! He was flexible in working out times to meet with my now husband and I when we had some last minute conflicts and made us feel so comfortable from the second we met him. He wrote a beautiful ceremony for us and allowed us to make any edits that we wanted. He was available at any time of the day for questions/concerns and was very quick to respond to any email I sent him. We loved our ceremony and the style he brought to it. He took every desire we had for our ceremony and put careful thought into it and made sure he found a way to eloquently include our daughter as well as our loved ones that passed on before us. The best choice we could have made!
It’s probably the most important decision you can make for your most important day, and Cris is the best choice for your Wedding Officiant! From beginning to end, Cris was professional yet friendly, and made us completely comfortable with the process of scripting our ceremony. From our first meeting, Cris was punctual and made us feel at ease with his experience and organization. He made the deposit and final payment for his services easy to understand and easy to do. He is also very knowledgeable about the marriage license process, which was a huge help!
Cris took the time to get to know us as individuals and who we are as a couple. He helped us start the process by giving us a questionnaire to determine what type of ceremony we wanted. He was prepared to work with us whether we wanted to be traditionally religious, more contemporary, or somewhere in between.
The next step was to write the ceremony itself. Cris emailed us a draft based on our communications. While it was stunningly aligned with exactly what we wanted, he had no problem with us making changes to personalize the wording and the order of the ceremony. He was always timely with his responses to our questions or ideas. Cris’ inputs on the edits helped us reflect our relationship as well as the feeling we wanted our family and friends to experience through our very personal ceremony. When my husband and I decided that with everything going on in the preparations and the fear we wouldn’t be able to keep it together to write and recite our own vows, Cris did a great job of incorporating our personal anecdotes so we could still speak from our hearts. We wanted to do some type of unity ceremony, so Cris suggested a wine box to be locked with a bottle of our choosing and sealed love letters that we’ll open in years to come, which we loved.
After a brief rehearsal, during which Cris was completely prepared, came the big day. He again arrived on time, with his own sound system that he allowed us to use for our music. As my husband and I arrived at our individual times, having both had the expected harrowing mornings, the sight of Cris was a welcome relief for us both. He maintained a calm control and met us each with a reassuring smile. Once the ceremony began and all throughout, our guests were captivated by Cris’ clear-spoken and warm delivery. Cris is a passionate , dedicated, and the perfect amount of outgoing for an officiant. I am extremely grateful to have done my homework and found him as all of his reviews made him stand out and it led to the best decision we could have made for our ceremony.
Cris did an amazing job hitting all of our needs for the ceremony. He does a fantastic job of tailoring everything to our wants and desires as a couple. In particular, for our wedding ceremony we wanted some humor and uniting a mixed family added in as it reflects us as a couple. He nailed it. He has many wonderful readings that incorporate love, the meaning of marriage, and all of the heartfelt ingredients needed to make a lovely ceremony.
Lastly, Cris was the most responsive when it came to communication. He responded to my emails, immediately, and that is a priceless commodity when working with weddings. Because of this and the many other reasons listed about, I would recommend him over and over again. I cannot thank him enough for marrying me to the man of my dreams.

You added special touches that really made the whole experience wonderful and memorable. Cris does an excellent job! Glad to have found him. He officiated our wedding ceremony on August 26th, 2018 at Stone House of St. Charles and it was absolutely perfect! He worked with us ahead of time to discuss Kyle and I, our story, and what our vision of the ceremony would be. Neither of us are much of public speakers- and were pretty nervous about taking our vows. Cris was great and really coached us through it. He provided plenty of options and readings and several versions of the ceremony to help customize and really make it our own. He worked with us and was very open to any changes. Not only did Cris help us solidify the details of the ceremony down to the walking order, but also took the time to review our wedding day timeline and help us set a more realistic schedule. So helpful!
Cris is also very responsive and easy to get in touch with. He keeps things light but is very professional and easy to work with. We had several last minute changes and things got confusing (timing of rehearsal and changing from outside to inside ceremony to name a couple) but Cris was flexible and able to help us out.
Come the day of the wedding, the ceremony was perfect! People kept coming up to Kyle and I to compliment us on how beautiful the ceremony was and what a great job Cris had done. Before working with Cris, I was worried since we opted not to write our own vows that our ceremony might sound generic and trite. But with everything Cris put in, we had a memorable, customized, and beautiful ceremony relevant to us. The ceremony turned out beautifully with many thanks to Cris!

I am so incredibly thankful that my fiance (now husband!) Jon and I found Cris! We were in quite a bind -- it was less than two weeks til our wedding day, and the officiant we hired was nowhere to be found. Luckily, I found Cris here on WeddingWire and he said he'd help us out. In no time at all, we had a signed contract, and in less than 48 hours, he'd already composed a first draft of our vows based on a couple of conversations we'd had. Hiring him was easily the best money we spent on our wedding. I can’t say enough good things about Cris. My husband and I were married by Cris on June 23, 2018. He made it so easy to plan our ceremony, and we live 800 miles away from our venue. Cris is very amiable and accommodating, and made the planning process stress-free.
Our first meeting was via video chat. He took the time to get to know us as a couple, and it made our ceremony personal and memorable. Several of our guests have told us how beautiful and touching the ceremony was. For an event that is serious, yet joyous in nature, he added the perfect amount of humor.

Cris was great! We didn’t have a wedding planner so I was a little worried about putting the ceremony together, but Cris took care of everything! He made a detailed outline of the entire ceremony - the order of each portion of the ceremony, told us what order our wedding party should walk down the aisle, told us who should hold the rings and who would be in charge of laying out the train on my dress once I reached the alter, and coached my husband and me through writing our own vows. He has a good system and the ceremony was very smooth.

Cris was our officiant on 6/1/18 in Forest Park. He made us feel comfortable and was very accessible to answer our questions and concerns quickly. Life's Celebrations was the perfect fit for our wedding. Chris took great care to understand our needs and get to know us from our first meeting past our "I Do's". My wife and I were originally very lost when it came to finding a venue and an efficient to perform our ceremony. Chris went out of his way to help tailor make our ceremony, ask the right questions, and even gave us tips on venues that may fit our needs. Despite several errors on the part of our wedding planner, Chris was proactive and flexible in making sure our big day went as planned. Can't recommend him enough!

Cris was so great with our ceremony! He was super easy to work with and so invested in making the ceremony exactly what we wanted! He even helped us find a place in the ceremony for our friend to stand up and do a small sermon. Cris was absolutely dedicated to making our ceremony go exactly the way we'd imagined it. With all the craziness that comes with wedding planning, Cris made everything about the ceremony so easy, we didn't have to worry about a thing! He is very flexible and works hard to ensure every detail is tailored to make your ceremony unique and special to you. From our first meeting with Cris, we were extremely comfortable with him. We aren’t members of a particular church, but wanted our officiant to feel familiar and not like a stranger – Cris did a great job of becoming a fast friend. He let us know up front that this was OUR ceremony and he would do things however we wanted. He was extremely knowledgeable and had plenty of good advice to help guide us through crafting our ceremony outline. He typed up an entire draft of the ceremony and let us edit as much as we wanted until we got it just right (it was great to begin with – I’m just indecisive, and he was patient through all my changes). We did a rehearsal with Cris and he made sure everyone was comfortable with how the ceremony would go, and even told my (then) fiancé and I to let him know if there was anything we wanted to change after walking through it. He also took our marriage license packet at the rehearsal and had our witnesses sign then so we didn’t have to worry about it on the wedding day. On our wedding day, Cris was there early to make sure we were comfortable and prepared. He has a very calm/comforting presence and the ceremony was absolutely PERFECT. We received so many compliments afterward on how the ceremony was performed and on the actual content of the ceremony. Immediately after the ceremony, Cris let us know we should take a copy of our Marriage License with us on our out-of-country honeymoon (just in case) – and he sent the signed version over to us that night to print out the next day. It’s this type of attention to detail and thoroughness that made the whole process so easy for us! Cris – we can’t thank you enough for being a part of our wedding day!!!

Cris Hanna was a great Officiant for our wedding. From our first meeting to organize the wedding details we could tell he knew what he was doing and well organized. He gave us great ideas as far as the wording, verses, and blessings while also giving us the flexibility to add what we wanted to make it a unique wedding- fitting to us. We had many compliments on the whole experience. Cris responded promptly with everything. He was on time for our first meeting, emailing outlines of the wedding, and was early for the ceremony making sure he was set up and all was ready. He asked what style of wedding we were having so his attire for the day was fitting for the wedding. He sent in the signed documents to the courthouse and I was able to get my certified copies just 5 days after the wedding. We couldn't have been happier with our wedding!
