Exceptional all-around

Hiring Life in Bloom was the best decision we could have made for our wedding. The design, details, and execution were above and beyond anything we could have expected. We worked with Brian and Leah who were both very kind, patient, and thoughtful in their work. They made our event come to life with classic, subtle beauty that still managed to pop in the venue. Our guests have raved about the floral, custom dance floor, bar, and tables. 10/10 recommend.

Speechless.....that's all you will be once Brian gets his hands on you!

Our goal was to create a victorian/goth atmosphere for our daughter's wedding, lush velvets, deep rich colors, and lots of textures that transported our guests into something utterly unique and Brian and his team delivered in spades! Completely transforming our historic venue to a new level with floral installations, velvet drapings, candles, the most amazing florals we've ever seen. Large ceiling installations, huge focal walls, all done in such a beautiful natural way - it was everywhere yet not overpowering, elevating each unique space. From the wedding arch to interior reception hall (varied tablescapes, lush linens, chairs, chargers, goblets, varied heights of lush florals and fruits and varied lighting elements), to dance floor area with suspended ceiling florals and custom dance floor pattern, simply amazing. Bring your ideas and I have no doubt that they will exceed expectations!

I knew before even getting engaged, after following Life in Bloom on Instagram, they would be my choice for florals for my wedding. I knew I wanted a floral and decor team that did both to streamline and execute everything perfectly— I had the pleasure of working with the extremely talented Erin!

Her and her team executed everything flawlessly, and I am still speechless when I think about how stunning it all was. I recently got some of my photos back with previews of the ceremony and reception, and I can hardly believe it was my wedding—it’s that breathtaking. She trusted my vision and also gave her input/ opinions and took things to another level. We are two weeks out and people are still talking about my florals.

12/10 recommend, they made my wedding stunning.

Dreamy luxury florals

We had the absolute amazing pleasure of using Life in Bloom for the design of our wedding. We worked with the insanely talented Brian, who made the entire process spectacular. From the initial planning, vision boards, renderings, sample day, and the final product everything was curated and better than we expected. Our guests continue to mention how detailed all the design elements of the wedding were. All the florals created an aroma that filled the guests’ noses right when they entered the space. Do yourself a favor and book this company! We looked at all the comparable design/flower companies and no one came close to life in bloom. The level of details, design creativity and passion was not comparable. My husband cried at our room reveal because it was better than we could ever imagine.

Amazing Wedding Florals by Brian

Life in Bloom absolutely brought our wedding florals to life in the most beautiful way. Even months later, I still can’t get over how perfectly everything came together. The vibe on the first day was calm and serene, with blush pinks, whites, and just the right hint of purple in the garlands. The mandap was stunning, and so many of my friends took photos to save as inspiration!

On the second day, the floral arch was a total showstopper. Guests kept asking who designed it, and I loved pointing them to Life in Bloom. But more than just the beauty of the flowers, working with Brian and Jensen was such a great experience. They excel at what they do, and I’m so grateful for the impact they had on our wedding.

Lush and Gorgeous Blooms - my vision come to life!

WOW - it's almost hard to come up with the words! Life in Bloom has been a dream to work with from Day 1. Erin could essentially read my mind when I described to her "white and green, not tight" - and came up with an incredible proposal that really was exactly what I wanted. When I wanted to incorporate Origami cranes into the décor, she suggested an art installation on the Bar, which was one of my favorite elements of the entire wedding and so special to me. I also asked for a tree which Life in Bloom created for me on top of our Escort Card table! Their talent is evident. Erin was also extremely responsive to all of my questions and requests throughout the planning process, and provided invaluable advice that proved to really make the night a success. My guests described our wedding as "lush" and I would have to agree - I loved all of our blooms, from our bouquets to the centerpieces, and it was truly my vision come to life! I highly recommend Life in Bloom to anyone getting married or seeking statement florals!

Erin and Tori- talented, innovative, they make your dreams become realty

Deciding to work with Life in Bloom was one of the absolute best decisions I made for our wedding. I was hesitant initially (mainly due to budget). Any hesitation I had was immediately wiped away when I met with Erin and Tori at Life in Bloom. Not only was their initial proposal dynamite, but they truly LISTENED to our feedback. Intently. Eagerly. They immediately started coming up with alternatives that matched our vision and budget. They were so open to feedback. This team truly wants to deliver YOUR perfect day, not just theirs. I never saw my fiancé get more excited about our wedding than when we were meeting with Erin and Tori. Talking to them really made him feel like things were going to be done well and go according to plan. That peace of mind was huge. Their minds are constantly whirring and thinking about your day. Months after our initial meeting, they were still drawing on new inspiration and ideas. I was blown away by our preview. I was expecting to have to suggest a lot of changes and be left with some degree of uncertainty between the preview and the wedding. Instead, I left the preview beyond excited about how awesome our day was going to be. They produced the wedding of my dreams within a budget I felt comfortable with. Their excitement was contagious and their support was palpable throughout the entire process, and especially on the big day. I could not be more impressed with this team. I cannot express how grateful I am that we trusted them with our wedding. They exceeded even our highest expectations. I feel lucky to have worked with such talented and creative people.

Life In Bloom Creates Magic!

We hired Life in Bloom for our March wedding in Chicago, and were completely blown away by Rachel and her team! During our first meeting, we had very limited direction and weren't sure what we wanted. Rachel patiently helped us pick our color palette, greenery, arrangements, and more. Throughout the process, we had many add-ons. Rachel helped us, even up until the last-minute, pick out the most beautiful floral designs. We didn't invest in a floral "trial", but had no hesitation that the flowers would turn out gorgeous. When I first saw the bouquets, I was completely in awe; it was everything I dreamed of times 1,000. Next, I wasn't able to see the ceremony space until I walked down the aisle. I stopped at the end of the aisle to take everything in; it was like a dream. We had greenery down the sides of the aisle, a huge floral arch, and many arrangement/candles at the entrance. It was magical!! Finally, Rachel's team outdid themselves for the reception. The centerpieces were elegant, not overbearing, and timeless. We got married in March, and the greenery/colors were a perfect transition palette for winter into spring. We couldn't be happier! Thank you, Life in Bloom!

Breathtakingly Beautiful

The Life in Bloom team is amazing! For my wedding, I worked with Rachel who is the owner and lead designer. She was able to take my dream and make it a reality. Our venue looked exactly like a lush garden and smelled even better. Rachel was easy to work with, transparent, and very responsive. I felt comfortable trusting her and the team to make everything happen the day of - we had multiple locations (ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner reception) and multiple arrangements (including heavy duty floral hanging pieces). Additionally, my bouquet more beautiful than I could have imagined. It was so thick, beautiful, and bursting with blooms - it looks breathtaking in every photograph.

Thank you so much for fulfilling my vision for my wedding which encompassed ‘timeless elegance with a hint of the unexpected’.

P.S. now they have a super cute and fluffy new team member!

Best Florals in Chicago!!!

Rachel and her team are the best!! They did the florals for both my rehearsal dinner and wedding – everything was gorgeous!!! I had no idea what floral design I wanted going into the process but all Rachel needed was a few photos to help guide me towards exactly what I was looking for!! She has impeccable taste and puts together the most beautiful arrangements. I had a more conservative floral budget, but that did not impact the service I received or how beautiful the final product was. Rachel went out of her way to make sure that every piece of her work capitalized on what I could afford and she was an absolute joy to work with. I will use her for any and all events I have in Chicago in the future. I would recommend Life in Bloom to anyone!!!

Working with Erin and Rachel on my October wedding was a true pleasure. The two of them took my vision and brought it to life, and I am incredibly happy with how everything turned out. What started as random photos from magazines, and a general feeling I wanted to evoke, turned into a warm, inviting, and lush space. The two of them brought fantastic ideas to the table and executed everything beautifully. Our guests still talk about how gorgeous our wedding was, and how beautifully each component came together. Life in Bloom is hands-down one of the best in the Midwest. They have the capabilities to execute like larger design firms do while still maintaining the beauty of each different type of flower which you usually don't get with bigger firms. Life in Bloom is the best! I reached out to a few different florists before meeting with Rachel and Erin, but I instantly knew that they were the perfect team to work with. From the start, they understood what we were looking for in our wedding day. They were so organized and on top of every little detail, that I felt at ease going in to the day. Walking into our venue I was so blown away that I cried. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. The one specific detail that I had in my mind was a hanging floral piece to use as the backdrop of our ceremony and then our sweetheart table. It was better than I ever imagined. Our venue manager told us it was the best the space has ever looked. From the bouquets to the ceremony to the reception, every piece was stunning. Price-wise, wedding décor is pretty expensive in general; Life in Bloom fell mid-range in our pricing for décor as compared to 3 other vendors. However, we felt that we received great value for our money, and when there were items that were outside our budget, they were very understanding and took the time to work through it with us to make sure we had our top priorities reflected in the wedding.

Overall, Rachel and Erin are very kind, detail-oriented, and hardworking women. They put an unbelievable amount of effort and work into our mutli-day, multi-cultural wedding, which as you can imagine is no easy task – and it was executed beautifully. We are forever grateful, and couldn’t imagine entrusting such a special life event to more capable hands. We would not hesitate to recommend them in a heartbeat!

The team at Life in Bloom is phenomenal! From the very first email correspondence it was a pleasure to work with them. I had the pleasure of working with Rachel and Life in Bloom for my November 18th, 2017 wedding at The Ivy Room in Chicago. Rachel was very responsive and I never had to wait on an email from her. She was very patient with all of my questions and obsession with the floral. I made plenty of changes and Rachel was always professional and kind. I planned my Chicago wedding from Las Vegas (where I live) and you would think that wouldn't be easy, but considering I had such wonderful vendors like Life in Bloom it was a piece of cake! Life in Bloom was a real joy to work with. After our first meeting with Rachel, she was able to come up with a concept for our bouquets and centerpieces that fit exactly what we were looking for. She has a great eye for design, is versatile with many different styles, and just 'gets it'. She understood what we had envisioned and suggested some creative flourishes to make our arrangements more unique, modern, and personalized -- providing various options well within our budget. In addition to this, she worked with my mother-in-law from out of state to create the floral arrangements for our rehearsal dinner. Her knowledge and experience in the industry helped make planning both events a breeze.

Arrangements aside, Rachel and Erin were so easy to work with - they're reliable, friendly, and super organized. They stayed on top of scheduling and coordinated with our venue and vendors seamlessly to create a beautiful event for us. Rachel and Erin are amazing. I did not end up seeing them on the day of the wedding but their finishing touches made everything perfect. We got a ton of compliments on the flowers and the gigantic balloons took our ceremony to the next level. Beautiful flowers, really great people! Highly recommend!!

From the moment we met Rachel and Erin, we were blown away by their professionalism, calm demeanor and attention to detail. Throughout the planning process, they were responsive to my questions and concerns and made adjustments to my vision as the wedding date grew close.

With having an eclectic style for my floral arrangements, I was hesitant but hopeful that all pieces would flow and complement one another. I knew what I visually wanted my wedding to look like but to execute and have every detail to my liking is a hard task. The bouquets, cocktail hour decor, and reception was everything we hoped for and more! When Mark and I walked into the reception site, we were speechless. What I had visualized had not only come to fruition, but was a step above what I had hoped it would be. It was absolute perfection.

Stop your wedding florist search here! Life in Bloom executed our wedding vision like a complete dream. I knew nothing about flowers and that part of wedding planning seemed the most overwhelming to me. I showed her a few ideas of what I liked and the end result was 10 times more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. Rachel is such a bargain for her quality of work and I'd recommend her to anyone. Having dealt with non-responsive florists prior to meeting her, I recognized immediately how responsive she was and that continued throughout the entire process. You truly can't ask for more out of a wedding florist, choosing Rachel was one of the best decisions we made!

Our flowers were perfect! My husband and I know nothing about flowers and Rachel was able to take our little direction and knowledge and turn it into something wonderful! Rachel and her team were absolutely amazing! I could not have been happier with my flowers, drapery and candles. I gave them a ton of pictures with my "vision" (if you could even call it that) and they brought it to life in the most beautiful way. Rachel was patient with me as I'm entirely clueless about decor. I even asked her a question during the process that wasn't in the scope of what they were providing. Rachel was gracious and offered her advice. I'm someone who knows what she likes, but struggles to picture it all together. When I walked into the venue and saw everything come together, it was such a special moment. We chose to work with Rachel after she was highly recommended to us by another florist. From our first interaction to the day of our wedding she was wonderful! She really delivered everything we were looking for; elegant yet not overdone. It was just the right amount for our taste. And even after our venue neglected to tell us they had disposed of they're round table a month before the wedding, Rachel still managed to stay within our budget and create something beautiful. We got so many complements from our table arrangements to my gorgeous bouquet (till this day, I still have people asking about it). Other people have asked who our florist was, and I'm not sure if at the end of the day they've used her... But I can absolutely say I'd recommend her in a heartbeat!

I highly recommend Rachel and Life in Bloom. Dreaming about a wedding and actually putting ideas into reality can be very different experiences. However, Rachel's expertise, artistic eye and sweet demeanor made the process so much less overwhelming. I adore flowers! Thus, the flowers for my wedding were extremely important to me and the overall look and feel I wanted for my big day. Romantic, romantic, romantic was what I wanted... and Rachel delivered! I saw the ceremony space and my flowers for the first time when I walked down the aisle - it literally took my breath away! Rachel's work is simply GORGEOUS!!! Our bouquets, centerpieces for the reception and special details throughout the space were equally to die for - we got so many compliments! Everything was just so SO pretty. Rachel did an incredible job for our wedding. We had to make several changes and she was so accommodating and had great suggestions. I was referred to Rachel from a friend who was familiar with her from the University of Illinois. After looking at Life in Bloom's website, and instagram, I contacted Rachel to discuss my needs and pricing. Her responses were always prompt, and she was very accommodating to my scheduling needs. Some brides are very particular in the vision for their wedding day, I however, was completely vague. I was able to tell Rachel what I didn't want, but wasn't able to describe exactly what I was looking for. She handled my indecision so very kindly, and never once made me feel like a burden. After our initial meeting, she sent me an inspiration board detailing ideas she had for our big day. The board was perfect. It encompassed all the things I had mentioned I liked in a beautiful, cohesive manner. After seeing the inspiration board, I knew we had found our florist! In the months between our meeting and the wedding, Rachel was very accommodating to any changes I proposed, and sent photos to accompany all suggestions. On our big day, Rachel brought the bridal floral to the salon in Naperville, so we would have it for our first look. The flowers were so beautiful, they made me cry! Throughout the night, I received many compliments on our centerpieces, and the beautiful garland we included in the ceremony and at the head table! Working with Life in Bloom was an absolute dream, and the end product was worth every single penny. I would highly recommend at least scheduling a consultation to see what beautiful ideas Rachel has for your wedding!

Rachel and her team were absolutely amazing!

My fiance and I went into our first meeting knowing hardly anything about flowers other than we wanted everything to look natural, earthy, somewhat undone, and that we were on a budget. Rachel was able to work with us right from the start to develop a beautiful vision for both our ceremony and reception that fit within our constraints. The entire planning process was so simple and Rachel was so helpful in answering questions and addressing concerns (which you can't always say about every vendor you work with!) She was even able to help us with some last-minute additional reception setup, and took extreme care with managing every detail. I requested a fresh floral crown to wear the day of and put my full faith in Rachel to determine what would pair best with my bouquet - it turned out to be my favorite floral piece of the day!

Rachel was the floral designer for my sister's wedding in Chicago, and, although I live and got married in Michigan, I did not have a second thought about reaching out to Rachel to do the flowers for our wedding. Flowers were the most important "thing" to me about our ceremony and reception and, after seeing her beautiful work at my sister's wedding, I had no doubts she could make my visions come to life. Rachel was very easy to work with, understood my vision and created something even better than I imagined. I'm so thrilled she traveled all the way to Southeast Michigan to do our wedding. The flowers looked beautiful and fresh like they were from right down the street. We received so many compliments from our wedding guests and our other wedding vendors about her work. I think she is very reasonable for the level of creativity and design. Even looking through her blog, you can see no two wedding are alike - they all start from the couple's blank pallet and ideas are built from there. Highly recommend!

Rachel was an absolute pleasure to work with for our November wedding at The Rookery, and the flowers and arrangements she delivered on our wedding day were spot on. I was actually a little worried about everything since I actually didn't have a chance to even meet Rachel until the morning of the wedding (I was planning the wedding from Seattle, and all of our communication had been via email, phone, or Skype). But she was always on top of things, replied quickly to any of our questions, and most importantly, she nailed the fall look that we were going for just through my vague descriptions and requests (I'm definitely no floral expert!). The bouquets for me and the bridesmaids were beautiful and the corsages and boutonnieres were elegant. We didn't have a gigantic budget set aside for flowers, but Rachel was more than willing to adjust to our needs. We were very happy with the end result and would highly recommend!

My husband and I used Rachel for our September wedding and were beyond thrilled with the final results!

From the beginning, we received nothing but prompt and professional responses and answers to all of our questions. Rachel made it a point to make herself available via email and whenever we asked to meet (three times in total).

I get the feeling that when it comes to flowers, brides can either been super laid back or super specific - I definitely aired on the side of super specific. Rachel met all of my super detailed requests with nothing but, patience and kindness. I had a challenging time envisioning what the finished product would look so Rachel actually sketched up options which were super helpful - we also did an actual mock up which I think is 100% worth the extra cost as it helps bring everything to life, especially for those that are pulling from a few different ideas, photos, etc.

Rachel was also very good about keeping us within budget and advising when revisions we were requesting would result in incremental costs due to the type of flower we were adding, etc. (you would think that any vendor would naturally do this but frankly, not many do...). When an addition was on the more costly side, she would proactively suggest similar flowers that would give us the same look and feel. She also setting up of the non-floral centerpieces, candles, etc. which was a tremendous help!!!!

The day of the wedding came and I could not have been more thrilled with the final products - the bouquets, ceremony pieces, centerpieces - everything was PERFECT and set up smoothly!!! If you are looking for a vendor that displays professionalism and a true passion for her job at a reasonable price, look no further!!!!

I had a limited idea of what I wanted when I first contacted Life in Bloom and Rachel was able to take my limited descriptions and Pinterest inspiration and turn them into something more beautiful than I could have dreamed of. Everything was amazingly beautiful and the centerpieces took my breath away when I saw them. Flowers wound up being my surprise splurge and it was totally worth it. Rachel made it easy from day one. My husband and I were nervous for our first meeting with the florist because we are no experts! Rachel had tons of options for us to look at and great ideas. Within the first five minutes of us meeting, I was 100% confident that Rachel would do a fantastic job and make our vision a reality.

When the bouquets arrived the morning of, I was thrilled, they were absolutely gorgeous! Later, at our wedding venue, my husband and I were were stunned at how amazing everything looked. Rachel at Life in Bloom did the personal florals and centerpieces for our summer wedding at Salvage One and I could not be more pleased with the results. Her work is breathtaking!

Going into my first meeting with Rachel, I had an idea of color palettes that I liked, but mostly that I wanted the flowers to look timeless. After looking through Rachel's portfolio (a Pinterest pinner’s dream come true, by the way), I immediately knew choosing Life in Bloom would be one of the best wedding vendor decisions I would make...and I was right! =) The flowers were stunning and we received numerous compliments on them even after the wedding was over.

Additionally, both of our bouquets were stunning. Because our other decor involved white table cloths and small votive candles, the bouquets she created stood out and we didn't need anything besides the arrangements for our tables. Rachel is absolutely amazing. She exceeded my expectations and her flowers literally brought our wedding to life. I showed her a lot of pictures of what I imagined and she recreated them even better. My favorite flowers are peonies and hard to find in the summer in the midwest but she made it happen! Our reception tables were magical and I got so many compliments from guests saying that the flowers were so impressive and that it was the prettiest wedding they'd been to. Do yourself a favor and hire Rachel from Life in Bloom. She is a gem and you will not be disappointed!

Rachel was amazing, very creative, and responsive. The flower arrangements were beautiful, original, and really captured our sense of style. Our wedding was at the Modern Wing of the Art Instutute of Chicago and the flowers perfectly matched the contemporary venue. Rachel with Life in Bloom designed and created the bouquets, boutonnieres and centerpieces at our wedding. Everything turned out beautifully, and we loved working with her! We received countless compliments on how gorgeous and creative all of the arrangements were.

When my husband and I first met Rachel we had some ideas, but were not very knowledgeable about flowers. She was able to understand our vision, and make suggestions that matched the style of our wedding. Before our wedding day, we had a mock-up where Rachel set up samples of how our centerpieces would look. It helped us to envision the day.

Also, our venue’s catering manager raved about Rachel’s talents. She was extremely organized and helpful in setting up the reception hall. She made sure that every detail was taken care of.

Rachel was a pleasure to work with, and was always available to answers questions. She made the process so easy, and I completely trusted her opinion. She was honest, knowledgeable, and has a great eye. I would absolutely recommend Life in Bloom!

Working with Rachel was a dream!

She was one of the few florists that I contacted that responded to me in a timely fashion. When we met for an initial consultation, she brought samples that really matched the look I was going for - I knew that she would be the perfect florist. Over the next several months she sent me ideas and feedback on ideas I presented. One of my crazy ideas was to spray paint glass bottles to look like mercury glass, a job I thought I would have time for but quickly realized that was not going to happen - Rachel took on the project and executed it beautifully. She not only created gorgeous tablescapes but also amazing personals and she designed our escort cards.

Aside from floral design, she was the final eye on all decor. She set up our ceremony space, hanging lanterns in trees and our reception space, hanging string lights throughout the venue. She made me feel confident that our day would be perfect and it really was.

Working with Rachel was easy. She took a lot of stress away from the day. I really loved working with Rachel and can't wait to refer to my future bride friends.

Rachel has an amazing eye for design and was able to help me take the ideas I had in my head and bring them to life.

She is very easy to work with and made sure that I was happy with every decision that was made throughout the whole process. I'm not a very artistic person myself, and she was very patient with looking through different flowers with me and helping me identify and piece together what exactly it was that I wanted. She not only created my floral arrangements, but helped with the overall styling and design for both my ceremony and reception and helped make our venue romantic with some vintage touches.

After talking twice about ideas, she put together a mini mock up to show me how everything would look together - this was so helpful and really made me see what the complete package would be. I changed my mind on a few things along the way and it was never a problem getting them adjusted.

Rachel was really organized on the day of and it all turned out beautiful!! She really made my design dreams come true and I would highly recommend her to anyone!

Life in Bloom/ Rachel was one of the best decisions I ever made when it came time to choose a floral designer for my wedding day. Rachel was extremely organized and helped me create exactly what I had envisioned my bridesmaids to hold, the church to look like, and the reception hall to look like. Of course my bouquet was exactly what I wanted as well, big beautiful white and cream bouquet. She had tons of creative & unique ideas to help make my day be perfect. She created awesome mock ups to show me how different flowers would look together against different color schemes. She was super easy to get a hold of incase I had a few last minute questions or additional ideas I wanted to go over with her. I would hands down recommend Life in Bloom to anyone looking for a floral designer to help you make your wedding or event day as gorgeous as possible.

Life In Bloom did an amazing job with every detail of our wedding day! The bridal bouquet was absolutely STUNNING... seriously the most beautiful floral piece I have ever seen. And the bridesmaids bouquets were a beautiful compliment. The centerpieces at the dinner tables were so beautiful and fit perfectly with the colors of our wedding. Everything just looked so great together. Rachel was also fabulous to work with! Very flexible and easy to explain everything to. When I was planning the wedding, I could only provide Rachel with pictures because I do not know flowers at all. She did an outstanding job turning my ideas into a reality!

Rachel was such a pleasure to work with. We planned our wedding from abroad and she was very responsive by email and even set up a few Skype sessions for us to talk about what we were looking for. She was really flexible with small changes that we made throughout the process. We had a really specific look that we were going for and the flowers turned out just as we had imagined them. Rachel was great to work with! She is SOOOOO amazing at what she does. She is young, cool, and "gets it." My favorite story is that I filled out her questionnaire prior to our first meeting and I swear to you she had an entire Pinterest board that looked IDENTITCAL to mine and knew exactly what I wanted.

Stay away,

Due to covid, we requested that they transfer our deposit to another date. We were told that our contract was cancelled, and that we could sign up for a new date, but wouldn't get the old deposit back, and instead would have to send more money. When we told the owner, Rachel, that all the other vendors were accommodating us, she replied "too bad you signed a contract you don't like."
