Work with Lauren at L'elite!

If you’re looking for a place to get your wedding dress in Boston, go to L’elite! I worked with Lauren at L’elite, who was fantastic – she stayed within my budget, and found a dress for me that was absolutely perfect (and not at all what I imagined purchasing going in). She had an incredible eye, tons of experience, and was very efficient – I found my dress during my first appointment with her. I found working with Lauren & the selection at L’elite to be superior to the stylists and selections at GLL and Flair. L’elite’s in-house tailoring also made it super easy to get the dress altered.

BEYOND! everything perfect!

cannot say enough. ali, in the salon. and then lena in atelier. the two best women i worked with in my entire wedding process.
i was anxious and a bit insecure shopping for wedding dresses and ali put me complete ease.. she gave solid advice, honest opinions, and was so kind and fun... not pushy in any way. i found the most unreal dress with hair and lena made it PERFECT... up until 2 day before my wedding! she is a GEM!
her talent is unreal. lena is professional and kind and enjoyed every moment working with her. i cannot recommend the l'elite experience enough!

Atelier Services- Amazing!

I purchased my gown at Musette and worked with Lena in order to get my dress altered. I could not have had a more positive experience. I was very nervous to get my dress altered, and Lena made the process easy. She is extremely knowledgeable, and was not only able to answer any questions I had about the process, but she also was comfortable explaining what and how she was going to alter my gown, which put my mind at ease. My dress turned out beautiful! Two of my bridesmaids also got their gowns altered here, and had an equally positive experience. I would highly recommend their services!

I love my dress!

L'elite is amazing!! My dress was the 3rd dress I put on because my attendant listened to what I envisioned!! Between scheduling fittings and teaching my bridesmaids how to bustle my dress, they were so attentive, professional, and sweet. I loved working with them and highly recommend purchasing your gown from them!

Wonderful!

So many options and great service. I found a Jenny Packham sample during their sample sale and it was in great condition! (I adjusted the back a little with an alterations place in Milwaukee because we moved out of Boston shortly after finding the dress.) also purchased my veil there. Tons of options! The best place to find a wedding dress in Boston!

Wonderful!

Lena and staff at L’elite were wonderful to work with! They found a dress in my budget and when I initially put it on, I thought “absolutely not!” However, their eye for dresses is incredible. With a few clips, folds, a belt (and pure magic) they completely transformed the dress! After purchasing the dress, L’elite was very accommodating in scheduling fittings that would ensure my mom and sister, who live in Philadelphia, could be included. Lena is incredibly talented and essentially created a completely custom dress for me! I am so thankful for Lena and the staff at L’elite for giving me the wedding dress of my dreams!

I worked with the owner, Salwa Khoory, and she was wonderful and very knowledge and accommodating throughout the process. I also worked with Lena for all my fittings and her work was fabulous. I had a fabulous experience with L'elite from start to finish. I picked out my dream gown on the first day of trying on dresses and bought it a few days after. The selection is unbeatable in Boston, and the dress couldn't have been more perfect. I had several alternations with Lena and she did a fantastic job of advising me of the length and proper fit, being extremely attentive and patient throughout the process. I also purchased accessories in the salon which went perfect with the gown. Thank you again to the L'elite team for my dream wedding dress! :)

The ladies at L'elite - I worked with Caren and Angie - were incredibly accomodating in fitting me in for a last minute appointment, and all the gowns in their collection are stunning! I wish I could give L'elite 10 stars. To make a long story short, I live in Virginia and my bridal store here totally messed up my dress. It was still too big, the bustle was too long still and the bra cups were up at near my neck!

I called L'elite Bridal 1 week before my wedding in total panic mode. Our wedding was in Boston at the Taj so I knew L'elite's location would be ideal. I never thought they would take me for a final fitting but they did! I went in the Wednesday before our wedding (on Saturday) and they were able to literally do wonders! They fixed my dress in 24 hours. I went in Thursday night and I was shocked they fixed my dress and I finally felt beautiful in it. I am beyond thankful for the customer service they provided and extending out to help me when I did not purchase my dress at their store. I was expecting to pay a crazy amount of money for the alterations but they were very reasonable. They truly cared about helping me and making me feel beautiful in my dress. I would highly recommend L'elite!

I had the best experience at L’elite bridal. After visiting numerous bridal shops, L’elite was the last one I went to and the best by far. They were so warm and welcoming and had the most diverse and beautiful selection of dresses. We were starting to get depressed and tired of seeing the same dresses at the other shops, but walking into L’elite was a breath of fresh air. I worked with Lena to find my dress and she immediately understood my style and vision. After trying on a few different designers, we narrowed it down to Monique Lhuillier because of her simplicity and gorgeous fit. I narrowed it down to two dresses, but quickly realized which one was meant for me. I came back later that week and purchased the dress. Lena was so helpful and so wonderful to work with. I can’t thank her enough for helping me find my dream dress. I used their alterations and was so happy I did. They worked with me to make sure the dress was a perfect fit and I had exactly the right accessories to go with it. I am so happy with the overall process and I’m so happy to call myself a L’elite bride.

I got my dream dress from L'elite. Isabel and Faustina were very helpful and professional. The alterations were pricy but worth it- my dress fit like a glove and was more beautiful that I could have imagined! The dress shopping experience was very personalized and low-key. They made me feel like the only bride they had! Can't wait to go back with my sister when she is engaged!

This review is for the bridesmaids department only. They did a fantastic job -- I was very impressed with the service I received from all the employees in this department. Consistently friendly, upbeat, and patient through multiple visits with multiple bridal party members to try on styles and hem and haw over colors. I am an out-of-town bride and they were very easy to work with over phone and email, and were very quick to respond. Dresses arrived faster than expected and were ready as soon as I called wanting to pick them up. Dress prices for the designer I chose were cheaper than other places carrying the same brand. Overall very pleased with the level of service I received.

I had such a great experience with L'Elite! From the moment I first walked in, I felt like they listened to me, made incredibly helpful recommendations, and worked to help me find the perfect dress and look exactly like what I had envisioned. I live in Washington, DC and it was difficult for me to get to Boston for all of my fittings. As a result, I had only tried my dress on once before the weekend of my wedding. Even with only one fitting, the dress fit like a glove, and I attribute that to the incredible team at L'Elite. Definitely the best in Boston!

After traveling down from Boston to New York City in search of "The Dress", my daughter and I found that L'Elite Bridal Boutique had a better selection of designer dresses than any other establishment. The salon was beautiful and the service was unhurried and very professional. After assessing my daughter's parameters, our salesperson (Isabel) made several useful suggestions to help my daughter narrow down her choice of gown until she found exactly the one that perfectly fit her vision for her mid-June beach wedding on Cape Cod. The alterations department has a true pro in Faustina, the talented seamstress who ultimately crafted the gown exactly to my daughter's specifications and shape. Bravo to L'Elite for the stress-free dress shopping experience provided to the Bride and MOB!

Lena, the sales person that helped me, was very professional and very sweet. She did not rush me at all and helped me find my dream dress! She was also patient with my mom, which is not always easy. Ha! I also had my alterations done at L'elite, and my seamstress, Fatima, was awesome! She was attentive and listened to my concerns. More importantly, my dress fit perfectly on my wedding day, and I know that Fatima deserves all the credit for that.

I had the best experience at L'elite!

Lindsay was my consultant and she was amazing. So kind, so intuitive, and made the experience so special. The dress I ended up loving the most and still haven't been able to stop thinking about is one she picked off the rack as I was browsing, and I agreed to try it on to humor her.

When we left, I realized we'd been there for two hours - but it felt like 45 minutes and I was never rushed. She wrote down my favorite designs so I could think on them. I can't wait to go back and order my dress. Make an appointment and ask for Lindsay - you won't regret it!

When my dress came in and it was time to meet with the alterations maestro, she was cheerful, efficient and clearly an expert. Alterations were pricey - so make sure to budget for everything including adding in cups or a corset or whatever your dress might require. But by the time my final fitting rolled around it was also the best-fitting piece of clothing I've ever worn.

I was slightly apprehensive when making my appointment with L'Elite only because I had read some negative reviews about their customer service and professionalism. I have to say I am so happy that I went to them for my dress. I worked with Isabel and she was fantastic. She made me feel very comfortable, and she really understood the style of dress that I wanted. It was a very positive and exciting experience. L'Elite has the most beautiful designer gowns and I am extremely happy with my dress.

Nan does the tailoring. She had a lot of work to do on my dress and did it quickly and designed it beautifully.
I had to take out the bust of my dress which I borrowed from my sister, with almost no extra fabric to work with. She designed a corset design with lace underneath, to take out the dress. I was very unsure about changing the look and aesthetic of the dress but what she designed actually made the dress more beautiful. She is great to work with. Best in Boston!!!!

I gave a budget and a wish list for my dress, with the help of the L'elite consultants I had my dress picked with only trying on 4 dresses! There only thing I wanted to change on the dress was to make it into a sweetheart neckline. The alterations department was a amazing and I fit in my dress like a glove. They worked their magic to get me a great deal with alterations included on a cathedral length veil. Everyone said I looked great!

I would highly suggest checking out L'Elite if you live in Boston. L'Elite was the first stop when trying on wedding dresses, and I ended up going with the first dress I tried on. The sales lady was such a pleasure to work with. All the alterations were made in house, and I was assigned to work with Lana. She has such talent and had great ideas for minor tweaks. The dress came out exactly how I wanted!

Ysabel and Lena are a dream to work with at L'Elite Bridal!

I purchased a gorgeous Monique Lhuillier gown for which they created custom re-embroidered lace straps to match the bodice of the dress. With their expertise, the measurements they took allowed me to order the dress which fit to perfection with very little alterations (just a hem). I felt so amazing in my dress, and the beautiful cathedral length veil that I chose was the perfect finishing touch.

L'Elite has the most beautiful designer labels, but what sets them apart the most is their attentiveness and warm, friendly team. You do not need to make a trip to NYC to find your dream dress, just visit this gorgeous salon on Newbury Street and set up an appointment with Ysabel.

I used to work near L'Elite and would go out of my way to walk by and stare in their window, drooling. I never thought I'd actually shop there and get to try on all the incredible designer dresses, including couture gowns straight from the runway. I don't think it's widely known that L'Elite sells their older/discontinued gown samples at huge discount. We would have never been able to afford my dream Carolina Herrera dress otherwise. It was a steal, but was a size too small and required a lot of alterations to fit me perfectly. Lena, our seamstress, did a beautiful, professional job and was so patient with us, as was Tia, our salesperson. I ended up having 5 or 6 fittings and my mom and I were excited for each. Lena was patient, never rushing and letting us take the time to ooh and ahh, take pictures, practice dance steps, etc. Even the owner got to know us and greeted us with smiles every time.
My mom got her dress and shoes there, too, and she looked absolutely beautiful. We also found my exquisite headpiece at a trunk show during one of my fittings. L'Elite is a one stop shop! They even steamed the veil and bolero which I bought elsewhere. We couldn't have asked for a better wedding dress experience.

L'Elite Bridal was my fourth store during my dress shopping experience. At this point, I was beyond confused about style of dress I wanted and had put a deposit on another dress at another store. I came for the Amsale trunk show and was beyond happy with the service not only from the woman working with me, but also with the woman from Amsale. They were patient with me and let me wear the dress for as long as I wanted (even let me try in on 3 separate times) and helped me through tears and confusion about whether I wanted that dress or the dress I had put a deposit down for. It was such a great experience and worth every penny. I will recommend them to all of my friends!

I brought in my mom's wedding gown from 30 years ago and the seamstress team at L'elite did an amazing job restoring and making a few alterations for my own wedding day. I was so impressed with their professionalism, recommendations and most important, the final product! They were so patient and helpful throughout the entire process, listening to my concerns throughout the various fittings and making tweaks to make the dress feel like my own, while preserving the classic elegance of my mom's dress. I was also very impressed with how reasonable their prices are. At L'elite, you get the professionalism and expertise of a Newbury St. bridal salon all within reasonable pricing. Thank you to the team for making my dress a dream come true!!!

I am happy I chose Lelite to purchase my wedding gown. Angela helped me find a dress I wouldn't have picked out for myself but ended up loving. Lena did my alterations and she was great to work with and did a wonderful job. The shop is flexible and even offered to squeeze me in for a fitting on a day my bridesmaids would be in town. Definitely recommended!

I planned to get my wedding gown at JCrew or BHLDN because I was really hoping to avoid the pushy bridal boutique experience I had witnessed friends endure. In addition, I didn't look for a dress until about 7 weeks before my wedding. On the weekend I went wedding dress shopping, though, I decided I should add in one "traditional" boutique to the mix, just to see if they really had any advantage. When I walked in to L'Elite, I was ready to be annoyed. Instead, Lena asked me what I was looking for as I saw another bride trying on a huge froufy dress. I basically told her I was looking for the opposite and gave her a price limit of $3000. Within 20 minutes, the two of us had found 6 gowns that were in the price range (there was an Amsale trunk show that day), and fit my criteria of simple but body conscious. The first gown she had me try on was the Heather gown by Amsale. It was so exactly right that strangers gasped when they saw me walk (sort of awkwardly since I rarely wear heels) across the sales floor.

That afternoon, I went to BHLDN. I called L'Elite immediately after the appointment there and ordered the dress by phone. Given the timeline, they scheduled my first fitting for ONE WEEK before my wedding. Magically, the dress arrived FOUR weeks before the wedding and they scheduled my fitting for the very next day. Faustina was my seamstress. What can I say about Faustina, other than she was not only talented, but she TOTALLY understood what needed to be done and had me pinned in like 30 seconds. She found me a veil that worked PERFECTLY even though I thought I didn't want one, and she was genuinely excited for me... Which is just so nice when this is what she does every single day. I was so impressed with the L'Elite folks all around. I know there are some reviews that talk about snobbery or pushiness, but I experienced none of that.

From my first consultation with Lauren to my final, week-of fitting with Faustina, the team at L’elite went above and beyond to make me and the special women in my life feel welcomed, cared for, and beautiful. The shopping experience was lovely, and there was an overwhelmingly beautiful selection of dresses to try on. Lauren’s guidance was knowledgeable, genuine, and pressure-free. She happily let us browse and pulled a gorgeous selection of dresses, and when I fell in love with my gown she picked a perfect veil to match. Our experience was equally positive when shopping for my five bridesmaids. We had plenty of space and time to try on different dresses, and the fitting and ordering process was hassle free. We also found a gorgeous gown for my Mother in Law at Occasions, which Faustina also tailored beautifully.

When my dress came in it was far too big (designer cut it wrong) and had to be returned. This was a bit of a hiccup but was resolved professionally. When the proper dress came in, Faustina tailored it flawlessly over several fittings. There were many structural and design elements to work with and I am extremely detail oriented, and I have to say her work was unbelievable. Each a positive experience in L’elites beautiful space, my fittings were always something to look forward to. Faustina took the time and care to teach my Mom and MOH how to bustle and put the dress on, and taught me how to properly walk, turn, and sit with my dress/train.

Overall, I am so glad I trusted L’elite with the dresses for my wedding! The service and selection of designer gowns and accessories is wonderful, and we were treated like family from day one. The products and services are definitely high end, and while the alterations are pricey, Faustina’s meticulous attention to detail and superior craftsmanship is worth every penny to create an unforgettable family heirloom.

If I could recommend one improvement it would be that the bookkeeping could be modernized.

I loved working with L'elite. Not being particularly fashionable myself, I was not looking forward to the wedding dress buying experience. However, I made an appointment and didn't have to make a second one elsewhere. My mom and I went on a Saturday and had the best time. Our sales woman was attentive, responsive, and listened to what I was looking for and comfortable spending. She made the entire process fun and enjoyable (something i didn't think was possible) and she is the one who found my dress! She pushed me into trying a beautiful Marisa dress, that I never would have tried on, and it fit my body type PERFECTLY! We bought it that day!

Alternations was also a pleasure. I was thrilled to get to work with Lena, she has been there for 20 years, and you can tell she loves what she does. She created a beautiful one-of-a-kind bussel for my dress and fit it perfectly to me. The day of my wedding my dress fit me like a glove and looked as though I had it custom made for me!

Thank you L'elite for making this bride amazingly happy, I felt beautiful on my wedding day and LOVE LOVE LOVE my dress!

L'elite has the most gorgeous gowns and very professional talented design staff. They are a very busy salon because of it. Phoning for an appointment was a bit challenging, but with perseverance, we found a time that worked and I found my gown almost immediately. I fell in love, it was the strangest thing. I've seen it on TV, heard about "it", this experience of knowing this is the gown, but I was unprepared for the feeling of it. L'elite staff knew which gowns would look the best on me and had a sense of what I was looking for without my even knowing really, and it all clicked into place on the fourth dress. Amazing.

I wore my grandmother's antique lace dress for my wedding, but the dress itself had been packaged in a cardboard box for 57 years before Lena got her hands on it. Step by careful step, Lena carefully patched lace, cleaned sugar and salt stains, took off the sleeves, then the top, sewed in a bodice to fit a bustier, and then added a bustle. The soul of my Nana's dress was kept intact, but Lena artfully altered the dress to be both antique and bohemian; both Nana and me. The dress fit perfectly, moved wonderfully, and Lena had added things she had cut off back into the dress as it evolved to add character. For example, she added the buttons that were on the wrists of the sleeves that were taken off to the back of the dress for the bustle, and added the scalloped edge that was in the high neckline of the original fit into the lower strapless neckline for my fit. She really did a wonderful job preserving the beauty, and helping it evolve into a gown I could wear for my beach wedding.
I highly recommend Lena, and am bringing the dress back to her to preserve for the next generation if they want to wear it.

We purchased our bridesmaid dresses at L'Elite and could not have had a more enjoyable experience! After having been to another store where the sales staff was incredibly rude and unhelpful, my bridesmaids had a lot of fun trying on different style dresses at L'Elite. The store had a very clean and orderly layout (vs dozens of racks crammed with dresses in a seemingly disorganized manner). The staff was very professional and incredibly easy to work with. I was able to place the order over the phone, and our dresses arrived sooner than when they were promised. The tailoring process was also very easy. We had a very positive experience at L'Elite and would highly recommend this bridal boutique!

I actually purchased my wedding dress from L'Elite Occasions, not L'Elite Bridal, because I wanted a non-white dress, and the one I fell in love with was an evening gown available through Occasions. The staff was incredibly friendly and non-judgmental, and they made dress shopping very fun.

Alterations were done in a timely manner, and I was surprised at how affordable they were, given how intricate the skirt of my dress was (and it needed to be shortened, like, several inches because I'm a shorty). I was a little less comfortable with the service in alterations; I felt a lot more out of place than I had in the boutique. But the quality of service was still excellent.

They were wonderful to work with. I had very personal service and they took the time to see that I had what I needed. They also remade my Mom's veil for me and made that experience very personal. I had no worries about the dress and couldn't have asked for a better experience!

I couldnt afford the bridal dresses but got a beautiful off the rack marchesa for my wedding dress. After hemming it was $700. When I went for my fitting they found a beautiful dusci unted veil that was perfectly coordinated. They were so kind as u was shopping solo on a r ight budget. I did have a snafu when they moved stores and my dress was misplaced for 10 minute s. They handled my breakdown gracefully..

I was extremely nervous about my wedding dress alterations as I had purchased my dress while living out of state, and needed to find someone I could trust as soon as I moved. I searched for dress shops that carry Liancarlo, and based off of this and personal recommendations, I chose to work with L'Elite. My dress was extremely intricate and needed many alterations as I am short (take in cap sleeves, lift waist, hem bottom, add bustle, replace buttons), which the seamstress completely perfectly. Yes, it was nearly $1000 in the end, but it was perfect. I was shocked to read reviews that described the team at L'Elite as pushy or rude. I found them to be welcoming each time I entered the store, and extremely professional while they worked. I never felt pressured to add additional alterations that we had discussed at my first fitting (i.e., adding sew-in cups, taking in the sides for a more fitted look). I felt beautiful in my dress and would absolutely recommend L'Elite to anyone who needs intricate, customized alterations!

L'elite Bridal was the last boutique I went to. It just so happened that they were having a trunk show featuring one of my favorite designers, and within 10 minutes I had tried on "MY" dress! It was everything I had been looking for: elegant, architectural, alluring. I was measured, and we had the dress ordered within the hour! Even better, I handed over my mother's veil (hand-made by my grandmother), and they assured me that they could remove the 80's style hat and replace it with a comb. I'm 5'-9" and had requested 2" extra in length. At my 1st fitting, I tried on the dress, and it was perfect! It was the perfect fit, the perfect color, and the perfect length!! Even the seamstress couldn't believe it. They took care of the bustle and the veil, and we were all set.

I was so thrilled with L'elite that we ordered the ladies' dresses from their bridesmaid salon. Each of the 4 women had a different black dress, and they helped us try on everything! In the end, we had the dresses shipped to each individual girl, and they were very happy with their decisions.

By the way, L'elite is also taking care of my dress cleaning and preservation. Full service!!

This place is more of an upscale wedding designer place, which is great. I worked with Lena on picking out my dress, and she was great. In the end, I fell in love with a very desirable Monique Lhuillier gown that was simply stunning.
Overall, their selection was amazing and definitely worth visiting.
I took 2.5 stars off of professionalism because, one time I visited in the morning to try on the sample ML dress they had (mine had not yet come in), and the two women who were there opening up shop began arguing with each other behind a closed door - but definitely loud enough for me to hear. They were actually quite mean and catty to each other, which made for a very awkward visit.

I took 2 stars off of value because I thought the price for alterations ($700) was overpriced for what I was having done, but this is probably relative to each different person.

They shipped my dress to where I was having the wedding, and it arrived in great shape.

Overall, my experience was positive. The alterations were wonderful, the bustle was gorgeous, and I was very happy with my purchase.

My dress was beautiful, and tailored well. I would say that sometimes they are so busy (even when you have an appointment) that when you go for fittings you feel a bit rushed or not completely cared for. They did go above and beyond and stayed open later just for me when I was in town for a fitting, which was greatly appreciated.

L'Elite was the first bridal shop that I went to and I had no idea what to expect. The girl assigned to us was a friend of a friend and was so helpful. I loved every dress picked out for me and ended up going back to L'Elite and buying the first dress that I tried on there. It is definitely not the most affordable place in Boston, but the quality is amazing. The tailor that I worked with made me feel so comfortable and beautiful at every appointment and she even made a custom corset for under my dress. My only feedback on L'Elite is they are old school and hard to reach. When I needed swatches for my dress and bridesmaids dresses (I got those there too) they were always confused and unorganized. They need to get a computer program where they can look up ALL of their brides information.

I loved my wedding gown and they did a beautiful job with my alterations.

Just note that L'Elite to be somewhat unrprofessional with their costs. They are far more expensive for alterations than other high end bridal boutiques, but the problem is their inconsistency with quoting costs of alterations. It was obvious that they would make up numbers for hemming, taking-in, etc. as each staff member would be hesitant and say something different than another. One in particular would contradict herself because she would forget what number she just said, which is pretty annoying.

The bridesmaids is definitely more honest than the bridal department and all of my bridesmaids purchased their dresses here and they offered a 10% discount (pretty standard as with other bridal salons). There was a mix-up with two bridesmaids (a dress that was supposed to go to San Fran went to NYC and vice versa) but they worked very hard to stop the shipment, reimburse me for the shipping costs, and provided complimentary shipping to the correct address. This was very much appreciated.

Bridal gown and bridesmaid dresses all arrived in the expected timeframe.

I had a bad experience with L'Elite in 2005 when I was a bridesmaid in my best friends wedding; but I decided to give them another chance for the bridesmaid dresses for my wedding. They were the only ones local that carried a range of dresses by the designer I picked. Making an appointment and having two bridesmaid try on went great; our consultant was really nice and she extended their trunk sale discount on the designer since I had so many girls buying dresses. The problems started with prices being quoted over the phone and not written in my file and a flower girl dress. Anytime I called after my 9 bridesmaid dresses were ordered, the sales women were rude and unhelpful. Then they called to tell me to come pick up the dresses and not only did I find out that I couldn't pick them up when I got to the store, but I also was told that I needed to tell my girls to call the store again to pay the balances on their dresses (the store wouldn't call, nor would they just charge the card that the deposit was put on). I have had two other friends go there and have has similarly bad experiences with both bridal and bridesmaid.

I got both my wedding gown and my bridesmaids dresses here. The accounting system they have is from about 1980... everything is handwritten and no one knows what they're doing. You really need to watch what they're doing because one employee will calculate things one way and the next time you go in, you'll get someone different who calculates it a different way and tries to overcharge you. Not that they are trying to scam you, they just have an incredibly unprofessional and inefficient system.

The wedding gown ladies were definitely more scam-ey and pushy than I would have liked. Luckily, I knew exactly what I wanted and didn't let them push me into a dress that wasn't me. They did sell me a $450 belt on the wrong color ribbon and refused to give me the correct on. The one I tried on was ivory (to go with my ivory dress). The one they gave me was on white - it looked ridiculous. When I tried to get them to give me the correct one they said "we don't have any on ivory, the one you tried on must have been dirty." Literally the dumbest thing I've ever heard. So, I had to pay my tailor to transfer the belt onto an ivory ribbon.

There's quite a bit to choose from and the woman helping us in the bridesmaid section was VERY nice and VERY helpful. I can't remember her name but she was younger and seemed to understand the business a lot more than the older ladies.

One of my bridesmaids was getting her dress shipped to her, as she lives in California. They informed me that once the dress came in to the shop, I could pay the balance and as soon as I did that they would ship it. Well I rush to the shop to get the dress shipped because I know my bridesmaid needs it tailored and 3 weeks later it still hasn't gotten to her. I'm paying for the shipping so I'm not really sure why it would take so long.. it's not like they were trying to save money by sending it via carrier pigeon. Turns out they never even shipped it. They really need to get more organized!

Horrible Experience

I found my wedding dress at L'elite Occasions and if I did not love my dress as much as I did I would never step foot in this store again. Myself, my mother and my sister in-law were looked up and down and I truly have never been treated so unprofessionally in my life. They have beautiful dresses but the service I received was horrible and I hope no bride ever feels or is treated the way I was.

Awful Experience with Tailoring

I had a horrible experience with L’Elite Tailoring. I arrived for my 10am appointment where my plan was to pick up my pressed bridal gown, and to try on my rehearsal dinner jumpsuit which was being altered. The gown was even more wrinkled than it was when I dropped it off, at which point the seamstress argues with me. Then I come to find out that my jumpsuit wasn’t even done. I was told to come back at 2pm that day, being told I should be grateful I got an appointment at all (which was insanely rude). When I came back at 2pm the jumpsuit looked terrible - all of the fabric was bunched near my rear end. I asked her to fix it and she was disgruntled, saying she would have to open the zipper again. But I asked her to, and she said it would be a half hour wait. 90 minutes later it was finally done. After a full day of waiting the gown and jumpsuit were finally done, but had I not put my foot down and the gown would have been wrinkled and the jumpsuit would not have fit. I was just so frustrated that the seamstress made it seem like I should be thankful for the appointment when I had a horrible experience, and she made it seem like my fault that the salon was busy. Awful experience and would not go back, not worth the money.

Beautiful spot on Newbury street with a lovely selection of bridal gowns. However, the owner is rude and abrasive.

I got married in October 2015. I ordered my Liancarlo dress in December 2014. When it arrived in June 2015, it arrived in the wrong color! I wanted ivory on ivory, but the gown arrived in ivory on crème. The owner tried to convince me that I should allow her to fix it because she didn't think I would like the desiger's ivory on ivory color. We debated for a few days. I called her back and said I wanted the dress I originally made a down-payment on. She was reluctant to order a new dress (it was costing her money out of pocket), but she did. The dress arrived in August as a rush delivery. It came disfigured. It was supposed to be a size 2, but it fit like a 6. It lacked the beautiful detail, and the netting inside was sewn lopsided!! Of course, this was Liancarlo's fault, and not the store's. But, instead of trying to fix the problem with the designer, the owner took matters into her own hands and CUT MY DRESS WITHOUT MY APPROVAL. Needless to say, I was very unhappy. I took the dress elsewhere for repairs and it cost me an extreme amount of money. The owner did not offer me any type of compensation for my stressful situation.

Anxious brides: I wouldn't buy here. If they carry a dress you like by a designer that's hard to find, go to the store to try it on. But then search around nearby cities (and states!) to see if another store can order the dress for you.
