Creative and laid back

We loved working with Jesse and the crew from Legends Catering! It was super fun getting to design our own menu and he was super flexible about the changing ideas we had and bizarre requests we made. I highly recommend them if you are considering a more personalized menu!

Easy to work with!

Legends catering was very patient and kind with us as we had changed our menus over and over and over again due to Covid. They were always there if we need help with something and made us feel good about all our food decisions. All my guests raved about the food !

Legends is awesome to work with!

Jesse is so great to work with - he thinks of everything, he answers all of your questions (even when you email him a million times), he's kind and he's professional. I didn't have to worry about a thing during the wedding. The whole bar and catering staff did wonderful. But most importantly - the food was SO GOOD. I heard nothing but good things about it from our guests. We even got our linens and cake through them - it was so nice to just use one vendor for all of that. I love how Legends helped us do things our way - we had an ice cream sundae bar, which everyone loved. The best thing is that Jesse really cares - especially with COVID, he made sure that everyone was safe and that we still got what we wanted. Such a great experience with Legends, if I had to go back and do it all over, I would absolutely hire them again!

Professional, friendly and great food.

Jesse and his staff catered our wedding on 10/10/20. From our first meeting with him, we knew we would not be disappointed with his staff, his service, or his food. Working with Jesse was one of the easiest parts of planning our wedding. Thank you to your staff and especially you. The food definitely does not disappoint. God has definitely blessed you with the gift of cooking!!! For future clients, the bacon wrapped barbeque is a plus for hors devours and I recommend the pecan encrusted tilapia for an entree.

Best customer service and outstanding food!

Jesse and the Legends catering team were FANTASIC! He worked with me every step of the way and was so amazing about all the changes that I had to make. He was so detail oriented and answered every question so quickly. He was readily available to assist in anything he could! The day of the wedding was BEAUTIFUL!!! His staff did an amazing job, and everything was so tasty! They went above and beyond expectations on everything from food set up to customer service! One of the best wedding decisions we made was to go with Legends catering!

Delicious food!

We hired Legends Catering to provide top-notch food and beverage service to our guests at our wedding on June 22. We had Jesse also make our cake- delicious and looked amazing! The food was delicious and consistent from our tasting to our big day. Jesse brings a trailer equipped with a kitchen to ensure that the food stays hot until service. His team was attentive to the little details of our big day and accommodating of our guests dietary requests.

Highly recommend

Legends did a phenomenal job at my daughter's wedding. They were very accomodating to our requests, easy to work with, and their staff was very professional to our guests. The food tasted great and several of our guests commented on the quality of the meal. We were very pleased with their service!

Fantastic caterer!

We had a great experience with legends catering! Very helpful and informative. We loved working with Jesse and his wife. They were very prompt to respond. The food and service was outstanding, they made sure my husband and I were served first. We loved the apple and brie puff pastry! Very reasonable price and they will work with your budget

Legends Catering is the best!

We are so happy we chose Legends Catering to do our wedding! Jesse throughout the entire process has been so nice, kind and has made it so easy for us. He really wants the best for his clients. The food was delicious, there was so much of it and our guests also kept saying how good it was. I was always told as I was planning our wedding that people will remember your food and the DJ and I can say I am 100% satisfied with Legends Catering and would recommend them again and again. For the price that you pay you really can't beat the service and everything it comes with! It was so nice that he included our table clothes, napkins, plates, silverware, cups, bartenders, everything! I know some caterers do not supply all of that and you have to get it on your own so that was definitely another bonus! Thank you for helping make our wedding day perfect!!

Job Well Done

Jesse, Susan and crew went above and beyond our expectations when executing their services on the day of our daughter's wedding. They were attentive to details, considerate of our plans and ideas, and worked patiently with everyone involved from beginning to end. At one point, when we realized that we had forgotten to provide a specialty meal for several guests with specific dietary needs, Susan immediately accommodated them. At the end of the evening, after all the guests had departed, Jesse remained at the venue offering any additional help with clean up... even after his job was done and his crew departed.

Jesse, Susan, and their staff are absolutely amazing! They answered all our questions quickly and all our wedding guests were raving about how good the food was on the big day! I can't say enough about how wonderful it was to work with Legends Catering! They went above & beyond for our daughter's wedding. Jesse is a pleasure to work with and his entire team left a lasting impression with our guests. Everyone RAVED about the quality of the food and service. They are knowledgeable, attentive, helpful, polite, gracious and detailed oriented. They even butlered appetizers to the wedding party while they were getting photos taken - something the bride and groom really appreciated. At the end of the evening they had all the linens removed, table runners folded neatly, centerpieces boxed and the bride & groom's Champaign glasses washed and boxed - WOW! Really made our clean-up easier. I am so happy we selected Legends - we're positive that without them, the day wouldn't have been as special. Thank you Jesse, and the entire Legends team, for everything you did in making this wedding the wedding of our daughter's dream!

I can't say enough about this Caterer. Wow! They worked with us and helped us along the way and made some suggestions that made everything so much easier on our end. Food was delicious, desserts were amazing and set up was beautiful. We didn't have to worry about a thing. I highly recommend! Top notch service and high quality food at a reasonable price!

I am so glad I chose Legends for our daughters wedding. Jesse was excellent to work with. He went above and beyond to make her day special. He even went out of his way to make sure we had Coffee Ice cream ( a big hit with our family) I would HIGHLY recommend him. through out the day/ evening he checked in with us and kept us up to date with progress and was very communicative. Jesse and Susan were wonderful to work with we had some special circumstances in the beginning and a special request that they were more that happy to help with. The cocktail hour and main dinner were exceptional I can't tell you how many people have come up and told us how great the food was, Jesse and his staff, especially Amy, were on top of every moment to make our daughter and son in-laws wedding a magical day. The Dellens were awesome to work with! The food was great, the service was great, they were always willing to work with us when we needed to make changes, and everyone was happy at the end of the night. Totally recommend them for your wedding or other event! We even had a sit down/plated multiple course meal and everyone was served in a timely manner and the food warm! Overall...EXCELLENT!

Jesse and his team were absolutely amazing. They were extremely professional and seemed to go above and beyond of us on our wedding day. Not only was the food to die for, but they helped us in every aspect of our day! The staff was hardworking, attentive and above all had wonderful positive attitudes! The individual working directly with the bridal party was a hoot, and was beyond helpful! She brought us appetizers as we ate breakfast and made sure we were fully stocked on food and champagne during dinner. Jesse and his team were amazing. They catered to all of our needs. Jesse took the time to meet with us multiple times before our wedding day to ensure everything was right. At our reception, the food was delicious and the staff was very polite and hard working. The bartenders served our drinks that we recommended and everything was cleaned up at the end of the night. We were so happy to have went with Legends Catering for our wedding! Jesse was great to work with and always stayed attentive to our wishes and needs. He allowed us to taste any food we wanted with both of our families. We had the honey baked salmon, herbed chicken, and classic roast beef. We got so many compliments on the salmon and chicken the most!! Jesse and his staff worked diligently and efficient during our reception; food was served quickly and hot. Highly recommend using Legends for any of your events!

Jesse and his crew were incredible!! Not only was the food and service spectacular but they went over and above by helping wherever they could. They helped set up the cake/cupcake table and even the wedding favors when time was short. Jesse knew when we needed him and was always there to assist however he could. Did I mention the food??!! Amazing!!! Our guests raved about it. I would definitely and very highly recommend Legends Catering for your event.

Jesse and his team were incredible. Not only was the food excellent, but the customer service of his team was top notch. One of the servers pulled me aside and told me how much fun my wedding was and how much fun my guests were having. One server even gave my mom a hug. They handled any issues professionally and appropriately. I would highly recommend Legends Catering for your wedding.

Jesse and his team are amazing! From beginning to end we felt confident in knowing he would make things great! We loved that all the food was made on site in his trailered kitchen and made fresh for our guests. It was delicious. Tons of compliments from everyone, including the other vendors. They even packaged the leftovers for us to take with us for the after Party! We highly recommend this professional, talented, group!

I cannot say enough good things about Jesse and Legends Catering. Jesse catered our wedding on August 15th. The food was great- I had tons of compliments on both the main courses: dijon salmon and chicken with feta and spinach. Jesse also provided a little ice cream sundae bar which was awesome. His prices are great and the service is truly remarkable. Our wedding was outside under a tent at a winery. The electrical unit that was reserved for the caterer was not working the day of the wedding and there was no clean running water nearby. Jesse was amazingly resourceful- he used a backup generator and sternos to cook all the food and he was able to use bottle water to serve all the guests. He was totally calm the whole time despite some major complications. Our guests never even knew anything was wrong. Jesse pretty much saved the day!

I had Legends cater my wedding on 10/4/14 with approximately 170 guests. This is an exceptional caterer and here is why. When I first started looking for a caterer I called Legends and set up a meeting that very same week. After meeting with Jesse I decided to have a taste test. Jesse was able to accommodate me the very next week. He made me and my family feel so welcomed and his food was out of this world. On my wedding day Legends rearranged and set up all the tables for the reception and cocktail hour. They even helped put out flowers/decorations on the tables. The wedding ceremony started almost an hour behind schedule therefore cocktails/hors d'oeuvres started an hour behind. The hors d'oeuvres were fresh and delicious; guests raved about the delicious mini crab cakes. Also I had wanted a special champagne punch made with tangerine juice for cocktail hour . Jesse found tangerine juice and surprised me with it on the wedding day, awesome! (Side note- we privately provided alcohol for the wedding and hired a very knowledgeable Legends bartender) The reception started and salads were promptly served followed by dinner entrees. The filet mignon was cooked at a beautiful med rare, the spinach and feta stuffed chicken was so tender, and the vegetable lasagna was homemade perfection. After dinner we cut the wedding cake and Jesse immediately took the cake for cutting and dispersing to guests. The Legends staff were so professional and friendly, willing to help out with any need. We also had a s'mores bar for dessert, it was a really neat setup and was stocked with plenty of s'mores essentials the whole evening. Legends cleaned everything up and stayed till the reception was over and all the guests left. Jesse and his crew are fantastic people. I found this caterer very affordable. You get so much for your money. Legends Catering made my wedding day extra special and I cannot thank them enough for their wonderful service.

Legends catering was highly resourceful in planning and carrying out our wedding. The staff were all friendly and flexible. We wanted a special cake design for our wedding theme and legends did a great job meeting our needs. Everyone loved the good, and the cake was all eaten!

I am so happy I went with legends catering for my wedding food!! I got married at lauxmont farm a few weeks ago. Jesse was such a pleasure to work with. I can't say enough great things about this company. He was so responsive, got back to me right away, dealt with me making last minute changes, and made all of the requests I had possible. He was also so kind and easy to work with. I am so glad we hired this company. The staff at the wedding was so nice and really made me feel at ease. I never worried about the catering! My guests loved the food and are still complimenting us! Jesse made it fun and easy to plan- thanks again! I highly recommend.

Jesse and his team were fantastic! They were very helpful in the planning process and worked with us to create a menu that fit our budget. On the day of they arrived on time and even helped set up some decorations. The food was delicious and the cake was beautiful! The staff was very helpful and the bartender did a great job. Jesse and his team did a phenomenal job catering our wedding. We had two venues. They provide fruit and veg for the cocktail hour at one location and dinner at another. Communication was great, prices were affordable and the team was really nice. The staff checked on me regularly - I didn't have to find someone to get me anything. Guests were happy with the meal and the cake (Jesse provided a sheet cake; another vendor provided the wedding cake). Jesse had an answer for every question I had. We provided the alcohol, but he helped me calculate what we'd need. He provided linens, dinnerware and non alcoholic drinks. We were thrilled with the service and highly recommend Legends.

We were so pleased with the quality of service given to us by Jesse and all of the staff members at Legends Catering! They were so helpful and willing to work with us during our decorating/set-up time.
The food was delicious and presented beautifully! Our server was just great! As the parents of the bride, we were busy at times and she saw that we had everything we needed!
The staff was familiar with our venue and that eased our minds...they all helped to make our daughter's wedding a success!!
I would highly recommend them for a catering event!

Legends Catering is the BEST caterer in the York area. The owner is professional, responsive and actually listens to what you want and then delivers. Very easy to work with. His staff is professional and attentive. Food was perfect! Cake was amazing. Homemade and tons of flavor. Beautifully decorated. I'm currently a manager at a Marriott Conference Center and have been in the hospitality industry for over 20 years. I can honestly tell you that Legends Catering surpassed my expectations. Jesse and Legends Caterering did a fabulous job with my wedding! He was more then willing to work with my tight budget. He accommodated my husband and I's every need. I really loved that he provided all of the silverware, plates, glasses, and linens for the event and I did not have to seek out yet another vendor to make my wedding complete. Legends Catering was AMAZING! Jesse worked with me from day one and helped make our wedding a dream come true! He acted as our contact person with the tent rental companies. The day of our outdoor wedding on a farm, it rained and poured and we lost electricity until 15 minutes before the ceremony. Jesse was amazing through the whole event! He ordered the extra tents we needed and everything else... Oh and did I mention the food was great! Jesse worked with us to create a great dinner, including using a special recipe for crab cakes that my husband loves :)

Legends was absolutely amazing! There was a last minute mix up the night before the wedding and we needed a few extra linens and they accommodated us no problem! The food was excellent and they were really easy to work with. Throughout the night, the staff got my husband and I whatever we needed as if we really were at a restaurant. Our Wedding- October 2018

My husband and I got married this pasted October and people couldn't stop telling me how great the food was. I really appreciate all the hard work they put into our day. Jesse was super fast to respond to emails if not a phone call. They were flexible with my schedule even though it was packed pretty tightly. Jesse & his wife, Susan, are terrific people who listen to what you want and make it happen. The food was excellent, everyone raved about it afterward, and we were so happy with the price (compared to other vendors, of course). Anything that goes wrong (not their fault!) was taken care of and explained directly to us (not to a relative or host), with brevity.

We chose Legends, even though they were not on the "recommended caterers" list because we tasted the food and saw the price. Great food, great value. We will now push to have them added to the "recommended caterers" list at that venue!!

Legends Catering was wonderful! We did a lot of research of caterers and we were so happy with our choice of Legends. From the first meeting, Jesse gave us a small tasting and that is what sold us. The food and cake were delicious! We had one minor miscommunication surrounding picking our menu, but Jesse took the steps to correct the situation. Jesse was very easy to work with and responded in a timely manner to all of our emails/calls. He provided good insight and recommendations for all aspects of our wedding. Jesse did an outstanding job on our wedding day. The dinner and bar services were coordinated seamlessly, and he took care of set up and breakdown so that we didn't have to do anything.

Jesse was very easy to work with, and very flexible as our ideas continued to grow and change throughout the course of planning. At the wedding he had appetizers and specialty drinks set aside for us, without which we may not have been able to eat much as we were busy with greeting guests and taking pictures!

The food was a good value and everything was presented as discussed.

Jesse was like a dream come true for my husband and me. We really wanted to have quality food at a reasonable price, but it seemed like a lot of the catering places we visited were shotty (I'm talking dirty offices, rude staff, pushy salespeople). My husband and I both work a lot and wedding planning had taken a back seat to our jobs, but Jesse was totally GREAT about not rushing us or checking out.

We had a buffet-style dinner, and his staff brought plates right to our sweetheart table to eat. Everyone had warned us ahead of time that we probably wouldn't have time for dinner, but this was great because, while everyone else was waiting on line, my husband and I could enjoy our first meal as a married couple.

Affordable and delicious catering!

We chose Legends as they fit our budget and were recommended by our venue. We are total foodies and knew we wanted good food but did not want to spend a fortune!
Jesse was great to work with, very responsive, and flexible to our last minute changes. He knew our venue well which helped make things easier, especially when it came to ordering linens, etc. We were able to tailor our menu to be exactly how we wanted and to fit within our budget. We got so many compliments on the food and the quick service throughout the night. The cocktail hour food was delicious and the main courses were just as we had expected. Cleanup was also a breeze and they let us take home a ton of leftovers! Overall a good experience with Legends Catering on our wedding day!

Overall we were very satisfied with the catering company service and costs. The meals were delicious! We did have a few hick-ups throughout the wedding day where some of our tables were incredibly delayed to get their meals and short changed on meals due to a few meal trays collapsing at the venue ( I do have to add in the fact that are venue was located on an old courtyard). They did make it right by bringing extra food to the table. It may not have been what was ordered but at least everyone had something to eat. Jesse was great to work with and always responded quickly to emails. The fake cake turned out beatiful! I was a little worried about the whole idea of a fake cake display but nobody knew it was fake at the wedding.

Jesse and Legends Catering were a pleasure to work with. They were very patient with my many questions and responded quickly to my requests. The day of the wedding, the food and service were terrific and we were so very grateful for the great job and attentiveness that they showed to us throughout this whole process. Jesse and his team catered my wedding and the food was great! I wish I had time to eat more. I know some caterers will make the bride and groom a plate during photos but we didn't get to experience this so I was left a bit sad that I didn't have much of our appetizers, but I did get to taste a bite of each and they were good! Jesse was very accommodating to my many menu changes and always came through with what we wanted. The guests told us they though the food was great! Jesse always followed up with my countless emails and questions. I really appreciated this.

I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH LEGENDS CATERING. THE DAY OF THE WEDDING THERE HAD BEEN A MISCOMMUNICATION CONSIDERING TOASTING GLASSES. JESSE DID NOT GIVE ME A MOMENTS WORRY. HE QUICKLY RESOLVED THE PROBLEM AND HAD THE GLASSES ON THE TABLES BEFORE THE RECEPTION.
THE ONLY DOWNFALL WAS THAT THERE SHOULD HAVE BEEN 2 LINES FOR SERVING THE BUFFET AND AT THE COCKTAIL PORTION PEOPLE STOOD IN LINE UP UNTIL THE TIME THE BRIDE AND GROOM RETURNED TO RE-ENTER THE RECEPTION AFTER PICTURES. ALSO AT THE CHOCOLATE FOUNTAIN THE FOODS WERE WRONG FOR DIPPING AND THE UTENSILS WE HAD TO USE DID NOT WORK WELL. SHOULD HAVE BEEN PRETZEL STICKS, PINEAPPLE, APPLES, MARSHMELLOWS - THINGS YOU COULD SPEAR. THE ONLY GOOD DIPPING FOOD WAS THE STRAWBERRIES.
I STILL WAS VERY HAPPY WITH HAVING JESSE AS OUR CATERER. THIS IS CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM. THANK YOU.

Working with Jesse from Legends was a really great experience. Right from the get go, Jesse made us feel so comfortable with the big decisions of choosing a caterer. He came to our home for the initial consultation and listened well to what we wanted and offered great advice. After booking Jesse, I bombarded him with emails and he answered every one timely. The tasting Jesse again came to our home, which was very convenient. The food was phenominal! What blew me away was when I emailed Jesse an appetizer idea and he took time out of his schedule to practice and perfect what I wanted. This amazed me! I would find it hard to find another caterer who would take time to do this. The day before and day of the wedding Jesse was fully available to me for questions, concerns, etc. His entire staff was extremely professional! Another point that blew me away was the entire head table was served by the waiters although we had a buffet service, then all the elderly were served as well. It meant a lot to me that they took the time to make a plate and serve it to my husband's grandmother as well as others. Incredible service in my eyes. I would highly suggest Legends Catering to anyone!

Legends Catering was our wedding caterer. The food was amazing and the staff was very pleasant and helpful with the set up and take down of our reception set. Jesse was easy to work with and also helped coordinate the reception hall as well. I would recommend them for my future catering needs.

We had a really great experience with Legends. Our guests were happy and only had top notch compliments to say (except for a few negatives regarding one of the bartenders. The report was that he was not as friendly as the rest of the staff). We felt extra special all day and loved interacting with the staff. The quality of food and services offered was affordable and worth every penny. Our only room for improvement would be the flow of communication during the early planning process. It took more than a few days for questions to be answered and addressed. You know what they say, communication is always key. Thanks for a great day Legends!

Communication was a bit slow in the beginning. Drinks were not kept cold during the wedding and reception, there was not enough ice or water for guests and it was hot outside.
Staff was pleasant but didn't seem to be aware of certain things we had discussed with Jesse.

A Good Value

My husband and I wanted a non-traditional/cocktail wedding reception where guests could eat at their leisure from stations/buffet of different options of food. Legends provided many hors d'oeuvres/small plates options to choose from that kept our guests satisfied. Per my request they also made cards explaining what the different food choices were and if they contained any food allergens. I was disappointed that plates of food were not prepared for my husband and I at our sweetheart table and we had to go to the buffet ourselves to get something to eat. Also, cut your wedding cake early, if you want the team to slice and put out your cake as dessert. The catering team present left before we cut our cake and we were not able to serve the cake; luckily other desserts made by my family were available.

We were less than impressed with this caterer. There were so many things that were not right with what was supposed to our special day. We wanted simple, and believe me that is exactly what we got. We held our wedding at a winery and wanted a "picnic type menu." The main items that we ordered were pulled pork sandwiches and bbq chicken. We kept telling the caterer that we wanted both white and dark meat and they kept ensuring us that although they gave us a price for chicken breast that we would have a variety - breast, thighs, and legs. We had WELL DONE and very dry grilled chicken breast that had absolutely No bbq sauce. We requested coke products and the only coke product that we saw the day of our wedding was diet coke, and the rest of the selection was pepsi products. They "ran out" of wine at one point, which was not actually the case. We had guests purchasing bottles of wine because the caterer did not take the time to speak to the winery about where the wine was. If you would decide to go with this caterer make sure that you go over EVERY LITTLE DETAIL because they did not do much communicating with us and what we thought we were getting is not what we got. Also, their presentation for the food was a joke. They simply placed the bowls of salads and the chaffing dishes on the table, but did nothing from a presentation point of view. We had to provide coolers for them to place the wine in and yes, the coolers did look very tacky sitting next to the "so called bar area." It's disappointing to us that what we thought we were getting was not what we got. It's sad that we actually had guests tell us that they were not impressed with the food or the service from the caterer. It seemed like whenever we needed to talk to them they were sitting behind the winery and away from the reception area.
