We used Lee John's Catering for my outdoor, tented 250 person wedding this past August. We cannot say enough good things about our experience. To start, we worked with Sarah as the coordinator. She was outstanding and provided great advice on any and all wedding questions we had (from recommending the tent company to the flow of the wedding day). I also loved that they were willing to customize the menu. For example, chicken piccatta was the first meal I cooked for my now husband and they were willing to go off of their traditional menu to include that as an option for our day. They were also willing to let us do a second tasting when we weren't totally sold on the options we tried at the first tasting.
On the day of the wedding, Lee John's brought in all the equipment to cook the food for our 250 guests. 4 months later and people are still raving about the food!!! Everyone loved all the appetizers (especially the cheese curds/brat/spotted cow shot and the lamb chops), the dinner, and the late night selection. People were amazed that you could get that quality of food from a little outdoor catering kitchen.
We cannot recommend Lee John's enough. They were responsive, professional, and prepared some darn good food! -

Where do I begin... when my fiance and I started planning our wedding, food was a huge huge huge priority. We didn't want the traditional steak - potato - vegetable. Both of us are really into quality, unique cuisine and we wanted that for our wedding.
When it came time to do tastings, we met with three caterers. We gave them the task of coming up with a Tex-Mex / Fiesta themed dinner for our guests that included gluten-free, dairy-free, and plenty of vegetarian options. First tasting was terrible, second was really good but didn't deliver what we asked, and then we met with Lee John's.
First, Sarah was very responsive and great to work with. At our tasting, they literally knocked it out of the park. We left our tasting with our exact menu because they nailed our vision right on the head. Plus, the whole kitchen team was phenomenal - not to mention Chef Louie!
Our menu:
-Apps: Flank steak skewers with chimichurri, Chorizo Phyllo purses, Endives with chipotle cream, and tomatoes + balsamic
-Bread: Pizza Focaccia and Chili Cheese Cornbread (AMAZING)
-Salad: Jicama + Chayote Salad (DELICIOUS)
-Entrees: Beef tenderloin (perfect) with a serrano hollandaise or a poblano queso; Mixed Grill skewers with Shrimp and Chicken; pan-fried sweet corn cakes with roasted red pepper sauce; grilled vegetable skewers; spanish rice & black beans
-Dessert: Peanut Butter Chocolate Parfaits (Lee Johns), Chocolate Covered Strawberries (Lee Johns), then Tres Leches & Churros from an outside bakery
-Late Night: Nacho bar (salsa was so so so good)
We are still getting comments from the guests about how amazing the food and service was. They definitely did not go hungry!
If you want a wedding menu that is slightly out-of-the box, I definitely recommend Lee John's. They are able to take your vision and turn it into reality plus more. -

10/10 recommend Lee Johns for your wedding!! First of all, do not skip a tasting with them. We did our tasting in November (2018) and we were treated like royalty. You get a full meal at your tasting, and we even got to try a bunch of their mini pastries as a treat! The people at Lee Johns are a total sell, but the food is also incredible. We knew hands down after our tasting that we wanted to use them for our wedding. We also used their bar-tending service which was really convenient! On the day of our wedding they were professional, timely, and the food was great. We ended up doing extra pastries in addition to our wedding cake and we did a late night station with them too. We had a ton of leftovers and they made sure to pack them up and put them in the fridge at our venue so we could pick them up the next day. I truly cannot imagine a better catering service - if you are located in Southeast WI, go with Lee Johns. You will not regret it! -

User1266474 Sent on 07/31/2013There really isn't a lot to say. They dealt with me, an anal-retentive groom, and provided service that not only left me unsuccessfully searching for things to nitpick, but exceeded my outrageously high expectations.
The food was delicious, the service impeccable. Professional, smiling, and worth every penny.
I'd recommend them to anyone who would listen. Hell, I'd recommend them even if someone wouldn't listen. That's how pleased I am. -

We were immediately struck by the food Lee John's prepared during the tasting as something exceptional. As we went around the tables during our ceremony to welcome and greet our guests, nearly every table had to mention just how exceptional the food was. We are still getting comments from family and friends how flavorful the meals were weeks after the event. Not only is their food exceptional, they are affordably priced and a delight to work with.
