LB Entertainment was an amazing part of our wedding. We worked with Josh from start to finish but had both Josh and Matt onsite day-of and they are fantastic. Josh was very easy to coordinate with and was especially helpful when we needed to change our wedding plans due to covid. He was very open to anything that we wanted to do but also gave great advice when it came to how to schedule our reception and gave music recommendations when we asked. He was a great emcee and managed to make our small, dance-free, covid wedding feel lively! Matt did an awesome job with the music selections and helped to set the perfect party atmosphere even though we didn't have dancing. Weddings with Matt at HVEG!
My husband and I got married this September and Matt from HVEG was our DJ. I can’t say enough about working with him! We were planning this wedding in NY all the way from Illinois, so needless to say, I was a nervous wreck about making sure everything went well! Matt did a great job calming my nerves and taking the time to talk over the phone with me to ensure my ideas were heard and played out on the big day.
On the day of, Matt did an awesome job with music selection. I let him know what style we wanted for the reception and he took it from there! Every song was a hit and our dance floor was packed all night long. Thank you so much Matt. We’d recommend you to anyone!

If I could give 20 stars, i’d give them to Carlos! We are music, lovers, love to dance, and we had high expectations for our entertainment and music at our 250 person wedding. We had seen him perform live a few times at other events in our community as well as a family/kids party. Not only did he meet all of our expectations, he SMASHED them. The dance floor was jam packed from the start of the dance set all the way to the end. My guests even paid him to stay past his allotted time because he was that good. We are coming up on a week since our wedding, and we’re still getting compliments on how good the DJ was and how much fun people had dancing like maniacs.
If you’re wedding planning, or planning any event, just book Carlos and get ready to have fun. Thank you to everyone at HV Event group who made planning my entertainment easy, they even gave me good local recommendations for other vendors and I completely value that.

Outdoor venue wedding
I got married this past Saturday and about a month prior to the wedding our original DJ had to pull out. I think fate worked in our favor because I found the HV Event Group. Last minute they stepped up and made sure that there was no stress involved, ensured that we would have the party we were hoping for. The price was competitive but not overcharged and we got exactly what we paid for.
Our DJ was Matt who is co-owner. He was very responsive, available via text or email. The company shared with me a website to upload my desired timeline and any song requests which made the process easy. Matt was able to see what I wrote/requested and we had some quick, easy meetings beforehand to make sure everything was as planned.
The venue was outdoors with music/projection needed in three different areas at least 100 yards apart. Probably tricky for many to set up but Matt had all the necessary equipment to make it all happen. This included multiple microphone setups and speakers.
The party itself was fun! The music was exactly what I wanted, songs requested from my spotify playlist made it into the mix also which was important tome.
HV Event Group is a professional party group, 100% reliable and overall was the best DJ experience I could of asked for. I recommend them without hesitation for any event.

We highly recommend Hudson Valley Event Group! We booked them for our wedding for DJ services and photography, and they were awesome! Dan Bolger was an incredible DJ and made our entire wedding go so smooth! He was very easy to work with and kept our party going all night with great music! Our photographer Jason Hoss was fantastic. He is so easy going and helped us feel so comfortable for all the pictures. I’m so excited to get all of our photos back. We got to see some sneak peak shots during the wedding and they were so beautiful!! Having both services booked through the same company really helped keeping everything organized. We will definitely be using them again for future events!

The team from HVEG were organized, experienced and extremely flexible. We had the pleasure of working with Jay (photographer) and Josh (DJ) on our wedding this past May of 2025. They both made the process effortless and walked us through the all steps necessary.
During this stressful period of organizing the wedding, and they were extremely flexible and worked with our schedules to make the process easier.
Jay, helped us take some amazing photos for both our engagement and then subsequent wedding day event. He has a very keen eye to take the best photos. Also, he will learn about your needs and interests; so that he can present you with a collection of photos to match and exceed your expectations.
Josh provided a link to allow us to update our music preferences, as well as to help set up an initial outline of the process. They were able to take our initial music selections and expand on it to create an amazing playlist.
We loved our ceremonies music, sound system, pictures/photos and the teams coordination in making this day so special.

My wife and I were recently complimented for staying out on the dance floor for 99% of our reception. Well that was easy thanks to having Dan Bolger from Hudson Valley Event Group as our wedding DJ! The dance floor was our number one priority and it ripped all night long!
During the planning process, HVEG was clear and communicative. Questions were answered immediately and timelines were clearly understood. Dan was so professional before and throughout our wedding. Amazing Wedding DJ!
I had Josh Shatskey as my wedding DJ. I have known him for 5 years from being the DJ for prom at the school I work at. Immediately when I got engaged I knew I wanted Josh to be our DJ for the wedding. Josh is exceptionally professional and the service we got was top notch. He was always in contact with us and checking in. We had a planning meeting to go over the details of the wedding. The day of the wedding he was timely and everything went so smoothly. Guests were dancing all night and it was all thanks to the great energy that Josh brought to the wedding. Josh is the MVP!!!!
Finding a reliable DJ who would understand the vibe we were looking for (and the vibe we were NOT looking for) was something we were initially really nervous about. But working with Josh was AMAZING. When he heard about what we were looking for in our music - including no “traditional” wedding songs and having an emo/punk hour to end the night - he assured us that he was the right guy for the job and we couldn’t agree more. Thanks to Josh, our dance floor was never empty. He played banger after banger after banger and no one ever wanted to leave!!! Our guests still keep talking about how we had the best music that they never hear at weddings, and many guests who rarely dance at weddings were out on the dance floor all night. It was like every time a new song came on everyone was like “oh my god??? I love this song!!!” and if there were any songs that people weren’t really feeling (which rarely happened), he was quick to smoothly transition into something else to get the crowd pumped again. He was so great that our niece (who just got engaged) was asking for his info for HER wedding before the night was even over!! 😂 We seriously had such a blast, we wanna throw another party just to have an excuse for him to come DJ!! Without a doubt we HIGHLY recommend Josh and Hudson Valley Entertainment!!!

We worked with Matt from LB Entertainment who helped us figure out our music preferences and made sure to deliver on every aspect of what we requested. Not only were we able to list everything that was important to us, from pre-ceremony music, processional, recessional, first dances, must play songs, etc, but we were also able to review every aspect of what we chose with Matt and ensure everything was going to go exactly how we wanted it. Even for music that we discussed would be "DJ's choice", we got endless compliments from guests of all ages and we were even told the music was better than other weddings we had recently attended, by close family members.
We can not recommend them enough, and look forward to hiring them again for future events we may have!

Michael truly gave us the wedding party of our dreams! The music that we wanted was very specific and important to us. Professional, Responsive, and Amazing DJ
From the moment we spoke to Andrew Nikola from the Hudson Valley Event Group, my husband and I knew we picked the right company to be the DJ for our wedding. Andrew listened to our ideas, and it was a relief that they already knew about our venue. Once we gained access to our dashboard, I loved that we were able to easily select the songs that we wanted to be played during the reception. It even allows you to play a clip of the song before selecting it for your playlist which was super helpful! When the time got closer to the wedding, Dan Bolger was selected to be our DJ. He was very kind, professional, and polite. Prior to the wedding, Dan made sure he knew every detail of the wedding and what my husband and I had in mind for our special night. During the reception, Dan interacted with the crowd and played music that pumped everyone up. He knew what songs to play to keep the night alive and I couldn’t have asked for a better DJ! I loved at the end where he made the guests form a circle and had their flashlights out while my husband and I danced in the middle. Dan was a joy to work with and always had a smile on his face no matter what was thrown his way!!

We were married on 7/19/24 and Matt Lask from Hudson Valley Event Group was our amazing DJ. He came highly reccommended by our venue owner (Lauren Abramson at Mountainville Manor) and from our very first phone call, I knew that we were in the best of hands. From their helpful online portal which let me personalize every special moment with a song, to the chats I had with Matt about our tastes in music and the overall vibe of the party I wanted, I felt like there was nothing I needed to worry about. The pricing was incredibly reasonable and included coverage for the ceremony (including mics so our officiant and readers could be heard by our guests), cocktail hour and reception.
There wasn't a moment that the dance floor was empty and I had so much fun partying with my guests. Matt took requests, listened to ideas and even offered suggestions to help the evening run as smoothly as possible. I highly reccommend HVEG and Matt for any event you want to be the best party you've ever been to.

My husband and I are beyond impressed with LB Entertainment! We spoke with Matt numerous times leading up to our wedding day to coordinate the timeline, ceremony details, and general music preferences. He, unfortunately, got sick just before our wedding, but his brother, Josh, quickly stepped in and kept everything running smoothly. Without missing a beat (no pun intended), Josh reached out to confirm our wedding day details. More than that, however, he coordinated with us all throughout the day in a way that wasn’t overwhelming, from starting the ceremony early to providing detailed instructions for The Hora to reminding us when it was time to cut the cake. Josh knew exactly how to make our wedding run as smoothly as possible, and my husband and I are so grateful for his detailed coordination. Not least of all, the music during our reception was spot on! Every single one of our guests have told us they absolutely loved the music/entertainment at our wedding, and we’re so glad we chose LB Entertainment.

Personalized and perfect for our micro wedding!

For our wedding, our DJ was Carlos. And I must say that we had the best experience. Carlos was extremely professional, prompt and friendly. He was able to coordinate with the other vendors we had at the wedding seamlessly and was in constant communication with my husband and I, making sure that we stayed on schedule. I will say I was very confident that our wedding would be everything we imagined when working with Carlos. He listened to everything we had to say and was very easy to work with. The experience with Hudson Valley Event Group was very pleasant.
Andrew was very communicative and on top of everything, he followed up and followed through whenever we had questions. The website portal that we used to submit song requests, as well as detail the ceremony and wedding songs was intuitive and was detailed in a way that helped us create a timeline that was effective and included all of the details that we wanted for our wedding celebration. Dan was our assigned and was nothing short of professional and thorough. From our first phone conversation with him a few weeks before our wedding, to meeting him on the day of the celebration, he was friendly, engaging, and made us feel comfortable that he was at the helm. Dan was an excellent MC, he did everything exactly how we requested from timing of the songs to the duration of the songs. He knew how to keep the party going, and was able to take requests from our guests, while still maintaining the flow of the music. Dan worked well at the venue, seamlessly integrating with the coordinator, the photographer & videographer, as well as the bride and the groom and members of the wedding party to ensure that everything went according to schedule, and he was an integral part of making sure our celebration a night to remember.

Where do I even start. DJ DAN was the absolute best DJ we have ever had at a wedding! From the very beginning he caught the vibe perfectly! Every single guest had something positive to say about how awesome Dan was. I would recommend him for literally any event. Amazing from planning to execution!
We hired DJ Dan Bolger with the Hudson Valley Event Group for our ceremony and reception music at our wedding and we could not recommend him more! He was very easy to communicate with from the very beginning and amazing the day of the event as well. Dan from the very start stood out to us because he was not pushy like some other vendors we spoke with but rather he was clearly ready to listen, be flexible, and had a lot of great ideas. He did a great job taking my requests and curating a perfect playlist for what we wanted. We had a medical emergency with one of our guests at the reception, and Dan sprung into action to bring everyone onto the dance floor to keep guests distracted and out of the way so the person could be taken care of. Most guests did not even know there was an issue and were just very complimentary of the music and how engaged the DJ kept the crowd. We 100% recommend!

from choral music to a packed dance floor
LB Entertainment’s Matthew Lask did some impeccable work at my wedding at Mountainville Manor. During the ceremony, he worked closely with my bridesmaids (my best girlfriends from choir) to coordinate his music with their a cappella singing. Matthew watched their cues carefully and was ready to supplement their singing with beautiful instrumental music as soon as they had concluded their choral set. Afterwards, at our dinner, Matthew brought my husband’s and my vision to life perfectly! He timed our intro music so that we were able to waltz right onto the floor, directly into our first dance, and he always had the microphone ready for toasts. When our guests hit the dance floor, Matthew coordinated the most exciting hora I’ve ever been a part of. My husband’s father is in a wheelchair, so Matthew gave us cues and instructions to dance around him, making sure that he was a part of every moment of our dancing—this meant the world to my father-in-law. Matthew also saved me from being thrown off my chair and catapulted directly into the ceiling, keeping an eye on the groomsmen and directing their efforts when they got a bit too enthusiastic. Following the hora, Matthew kept everyone—and I mean everyone, especially my father-in-law—on the dance floor for high-energy dance sets, punctuated by all the desserts, toasts, and surprises and my husband and I had planned for the evening. If you’re searching for a DJ with an eye for detail and the energy to keep your whole guest list dancing through the last song, look no further!

Matt is such a highly skilled and caring professional who is incredibly detail-oriented, personable, patient, flexible, and knowledgable in all things music and entertainment. My husband and I wanted our special day to be perfect and DJ Matt was just that & beyond! Throughout the wedding planning process, Matt scheduled phone calls periodically to offer recommendations, guidance and encouragement. Matt assisted in structuring our wedding day to ensure everything was seamless. Matt was one of the few vendors who eased the wedding planning stress and made us genuinely excited with his own enthusiasm, kindness and hard work. During the wedding planning process, LB entertainment provided an online platform that allowed us to explore our favorite wedding songs, choose songs we didn’t like, and even select different lighting options. Their attention to detail was honestly impressive! My husband and I created a Spotify playlist with our music selections and Matt completely understood our style & preferences. When it came to our wedding day, everything was perfectly executed by LB entertainment. Matt kept us on track according to our timeline and gathered family and friends for toasts. The lighting was so fun and matched our foam glow sticks we had on the dance floor, which looked like something out of a movie!! Josh Lask, our D.J. And Jason Hoss, our photographer were absolutely incredible. Our wedding was a dream. The attention to detail, the organization, the memories we made were just indescribable. Josh had the party going the entire time. He was so involved with our wedding guests. Just lovely. I cannot recommend this company enough! Josh and his team are the best in the area without question. We cannot say enough great things about Dan. He was incredibly accommodating, beyond helpful, and always a text or email away if we had any questions, comments, or concerns. He was very involved in the process and was sure to double check all of our important songs for throughout the night. My husband wishes that there was one more slow song than played and that a couple of our must plays that didn't play played, but I appreciated that Dan had nearly the entire wedding dancing throughout the night. His MCing kept the party going too and my guests couldn't stop saying how much fun they had on the dance floor. At the end of the night, when we had wanted to do a private last dance, Dan helped us clear the floor efficiently and made the moment super special. Thank you Dan!

We got married last month (April 2023) at the Mountainville Manor in Mountainville, NY. We hired Matthew to be our DJ/MC, and we couldn't be happier with that decision! Matthew (and LB Entertainment) came personally and highly recommended from our venue owner Lauren as someone who frequently DJ-ed at the manor. Matthew was punctual, a joy to be around with his infectious energy, and such a professional -- he smoothed out any nerves we had (especially about the first dance!) and we were super happy with the amount of communication to ensure we were on the same page for what we wanted to play! We had a very specific blend of music that we had asked for -- 70s/80s for our cocktail hour, South African house music for dinner, and then a mix of Afro-beats and classic hits for our reception -- and Matthew delivered flawlessly! He was also flexible when we were running behind for the ceremony and when we had a relatively last-minute addition to our schedule. Matthew did an amazing job selecting music that paired well with the energy of the scheduled events. Even though we had a small wedding (~50 guests), we are VERY happy that we made the choice to have a DJ -- we highly recommend hiring LB Entertainment for your wedding, you won't regret it! I could not be happier with my decision to hire LB Entertainment for my wedding. Matt Lask is simply top notch. From the very beginning when we first spoke he immediately saw our vision. Matt and the LB entertainment crew were incredible to work with. From the first phone call we shared, they were terrific. Matt made himself available to us, however we needed (phone calls, emails, and shared playlists). He worked to understand our vision and music taste and execute it perfectly. LB Entertainment made our big day so special!!! Matt could not have been more perfect as a DJ - we booked him with just a few months notice and he stayed in consistent communication to help us achieve exactly what we envisioned for our wedding and reception. The highlight of it all: the dancing. We had a small restaurant wedding and did not anticipate folks getting up to party. We thought wrong - Matt totally read the room and took leadership to get everyone excited and grooving. He improvised music on the spot, knowing exactly what our crowd wanted to hear and move to. It was an absolute blast. As a bride, I was naturally very nervous on the big day, and Matt validated me and eased so much of my stress. He was the perfect host and maestro of the evening. DJ Mike was truly top notch (and we have nothing but great things to say about Cherie who managed the photobooth during the evening and assisted Mike)! Professional from start to finish and a real pleasure to work with. DJ Mike was the first and only DJ we spoke with; after or first conversation with him we knew he was the right person for the job! In our final chat before the big day, he really put our minds at ease; he was a true professional and it showed. He provided a clear picture of how the day would run and how he would interact with the other vendors to ensure a seamless experience and for that I will forever be grateful. The day of our wedding really went off without a hitch. He connected with our officiant, coordinated with our caterer for the ceremony and was just all around fantastic during the reception. If we could have danced all night, we would have! Thank you DJ Mike and Cherie for a wedding we'll never forget!

Perfection and professional
Absolute wonderful experience with LB Entertainment. We used them for our DJ and phototographer. Dan, our DJ was great, kept everything on time and killed it with the music and lighting. Our photographer, Jay, took amazing pictures and gave us all the digitals so we have all the pictures taken forever. Definitely a 5 star recommendation from us!

Matt Lask at LB Entertainment was awesome!
We were originally going to try to save money by using an iPod hooked to speakers. We're so happy that our Wedding Coordinator convinced us to meet with Matt at LB Entertainment. He had such a great energy to him that we ultimately decided a DJ was essential. We're happy we made this choice!
Matt took our Spotify playlist suggestions and weaved in his own magic to keep the party going all night. We were surprised at how quickly the party flew by because we were so busy dancing and having a blast.
Matt also helped us achieve a surprise 40th wedding anniversary dance for the groom's parents.
Everyone commented how great the playlist and DJ were! Thanks, Matt and LB Entertainment!!

Oh my gosh... Matt was THE BEST! I was so worried about how engaged everyone at our wedding would be because it was filled with people who don't know each other. Matt was AMAZING and we could hear everyone enjoying themselves while we were waiting to enter. The dance floor was a HIT and all my favorite songs were played just as promised. Matt also made suggestions along the way when I didn't quite know where to turn, and he couldn't have been more helpful. Matt was so easy to work with and helped make our wedding day amazing! He helped with everything from picking music to supplying microphones for ceremony we realized very last minute we would need. Matt kept the party going and made sure our wedding day was nothing less than perfect. Our guests loved the Photo Booth! The selection of props was fantastic and our guests were each able to get a copy of their photos. We couldn’t have picked a better company to work with!

Great Wedding DJ!
We got married recently and had Carlos Penaherrera from LB Entertainment DJ our dinner and reception. Carlos did a fantastic job! Before the event, we were able to easily add our song preferences and event details to a portal so Carlos had all the information to refer too. This was really nice to have and avoided a lot of back and forth. Carols also set up two calls with us which we discussed the vibe, songs, lights, etc. He was very responsive and answered all our questions during the entire planning process. The day of, Carlos arrived on time and well before our guests to set up. He was accommodating to our requests before and during the reception. I would recommend Carlos at LB Entertainment!

Carlos Penaherrera was an excellent D.J. from start to finish! Not only did Carlos work hard to make sure we both felt reassured, taken care of and understood, but he went out of his way to review all the details of the music that we wanted and how we wanted it to roll out during the celebration. He was communicative, reliable, and a lot of fun to work with. Hiring a D.J. is not just about the time of the event but the relationship leading up to that event and Carlos gets big high marks for both! Best DJ to hire!
LB Entertainment completely elevated our wedding to top notch. We had so many people tell us it was the best and most fun wedding they've ever been to. DJ Carlos skillfully heightened the energy level of our reception. His assistant Mike was equally helpful. Between the lights provided by LB Entertainment and Carlos' ability to get people excited and dancing we had the best night ever. Carlos was amazing at being flexible and keeping me in the loop since our schedule of events ended up super behind. He didn't miss a beat and his ability to mix music that we could dance to kept everyone moving. We got way more than we excepted by booking with LB. We wouldn't want any other DJ at our events!

Great company to work with!
We hired LB Entertainment for our wedding on the recommendation of our coordinator. They exceeded our expectations! Josh was extremely knowledgable, and put me at ease the first time we spoke on the phone. Although we only hired them for our reception, he had great advice and recommendations for selecting music for each component of our wedding from start to finish. He was also very responsive and communicative throughout the entire planning process. In addition to DJ services they offer rental items (tents, tables, linens, chairs, bistro lights, lawn games), so you don’t have to plan and coordinate with as many vendors. We provided a list of our favorite songs and Matt (the DJ for our event) stayed true to our wishes, while also adding other great tunes he knew we would like. He got everybody to come to the dance floor, and everyone raved about the music! After our wedding my brother and future sister-in-law (who originally were not going to hire a DJ for their upcoming nuptials) changed their minds and hired them as well as well. We highly recommend hiring LB Entertainment for your special day, or any big event. You’ll be glad that you did!

Music is a big part of our relationship and we wanted to find a DJ who was willing to stick to our playlists + specific requests while also putting all of those songs together in an order that made sense for the dance floor and the energy of the evening. Josh from LB gladly accepted that challenge and we couldn't have asked for a better DJ for our big day. He was incredibly easy to work with in the lead-up to the event and him and his brother Matt were very accommodating, flexible, and professional on the day itself. Can't recommend enough!

Dan was nothing short of amazing. He catered to every single need, made sure everything was correct and accurate before hand and the day of. He even was able to make the ceremony processional the one of my dreams. I can't recommend him enough. Thankfully I wore sneakers because I was on the dance floor the ENTIRE night. Danced All Night!
The LB team was excellent! Highly communicative, flexible, enthusiastic and got everyone dancing and kept us dancing the whole time! Easiest of all of our vendors to work with. We had to reschedule due to COVID and they didn't skip a beat. Our live soloist for our ceremony was a no-show and they stepped right in with the same music, no one was the wiser! Highly recommend!

We worked with Matt throughout the wedding process. Matt and LB go above and beyond to help plan your day to perfection. Matt met with us in person in advance of our wedding, worked with us on music selection, flow of events, coordination with the venue and more. The wedding itself was great, and Matt made sure to help us move through the day and worked really well with our wedding coordinator. Matt provided so much more than just music and it really helped us piece together a very busy day. Would recommend this company to anybody looking for great music and a helpful hand.

Not a single negative thing to say. When our violinist cancelled last minute for our cocktail hour, they jumped in right away to cover. The photo booth, up lighting, and DJ service were awesome. The team was very active and made sure everyone was out on the floor having fun for our reception. The members of the DJ team (3 for our event) were out on the floor keeping the crowd engaged.

I am SO happy I went with LB Entertainment. My experience with Matt Lask was an extremely positive one. We originally booked with them in December 2019, right before the pandemic, for a May 2021 wedding. We ended up having to postpone it indefinitely, which was obviously devastating to my fiancé at the time and I. Matt was so reassuring and accommodating from the start and really made me feel better about everything. We eventually scheduled a date for March 2022, and Matt went above and beyond (to say the least) to make the day the best it could be. He answered every one of the million questions I had, was patient when I was all over the place in the weeks and days before the day, spent hours going through genres with us to make sure he completely understood the vibe we were going for, communicated with other vendors, made knowledgeable suggestions, and much much more. He kept the wedding and reception event transitions running smoothly and kept the mood upbeat. He was very gracious with all of my drunk song requests at the end of the night as well 😂
He made sure there was the least amount of stress and anxiety as possible on my wife and I during the whole process. We didn’t have to worry about a thing. He was extremely genuine, caring, respectful, and knowledgeable, and I am so so glad with this company!!
