Beautiful vintage-style wedding cake

Layers made a fantastic cake for our wedding! It was a beautiful two-tier vintage style cake with lots of piping detail that looked exactly like the inspiration pictures we provided. They weren’t able to provide cherries, but said they could place them on the cake if we dropped some off a few days before the wedding. We went with a two-tier cake in the lemon curd flavor, and a half sheet cake in red velvet to feed a total of 85 wedding guests, and that seemed to be the perfect amount.

Delicious and beautiful cake!

We ordered a two tier cake + a sheet cake for our wedding. The cake was delicious and everyone who tried it, loved it. For the two tier cake, I requested plain white and it was PERFECT. I wasn't expecting much, but was so in love with how it turned out. They offered a cake tasting box so we were able to taste each of the flavor options which was so helpful in picking our cake flavor. The booking process was easy and they delivered it to our venue on the day of. It was a simple process and was very happy with everything

Last minute change

We initial planned to use a different bakery from our area, but found out last minute that they couldn’t do our cake when we needed it, so we took a trip down to Monterey a couple of weeks before our wedding to find someone local to make our cake. We tried a few bakeries then found Layers. While we were there, they walked us through our options and we bought a piece of cake to try and immediately ordered our cake from them. We went with a 9 in cake and had plenty of leftovers for us to all have another piece the next night.

Beautiful, delicious and easy to work with

Loved working with Hilary - she had great communication and made ordering our cake a breeze!

We did pick up wedding cake samples before submitting our order, and we appreciated that cost of the tasting was deducted from our overall cake cost.

Most importantly, the cake was DELICIOUS! So much so that our friends argued over who could take the left over cake the next morning at breakfast LOL.

We ordered both red velvet and carrot cake for reference. Carrot cake is my favorite - but it can be very hit or miss. Layer's carrot cake was an absolute HIT

Layers was fabulous. They took our vision and made it real. The flavors were delicious and very tasty. Delivered on time and the cake looked beautiful. Would highly recommend.

Amazing service

We did a take home cake tasting box and it was neatly explained and organized. We ordered their lemon cake for our wedding and all the guests raved about how delicious it was!

Above and Beyond!

Hilary was amazing to work with. She was patient with me when I kept giving her the wrong card for her payments [on accident ]. One of the hardest parts for my wedding was figuring out where to put my cake. My wedding site wouldn't keep my cake due to liability concerns. She personally got in contact with my wedding site to make sure they would keep my cake!

Delicious Cake

I chose Layers to do my wedding cake and could not be happier! Hilary and Hazel were so amazing to work with. They were very responsive and made the whole process super easy!

We chose the carrot cake and our guests loved it! We also got chocolate cupcakes for our more picky guests and those were a hit as well.

Our cake was amazing and delicious. So delicious, that we couldn't bring ourselves to save the top in the freezer for our one year anniversary! We are so happy we chose Layers!

Layers was wonderful to work with! They were able to accommodate three different flavors for our cake and beautifully replicated the unique design we found online. Delivery was on time and all staff were professional and communicative. I would highly recommend that anyone in the Monterey area use layers for their cake!

We loved our wedding cake! The team at Layers Sensational Cakes was easy to work with and extremely responsive. Our cake (white cake with raspberry filling, French Buttercream frosting) not only looked beautiful, but it was the most delicious cake I have ever had.

Oh my freaking god, I can’t say enough about this bakery! My wedding was in September, and we asked Layer’s for a two tiered cake for a small wedding. We did the lemon butter cake for the largest layer, and ended up saving the blueberry cream cake topper (we ordered more than we needed to, just because we wanted the look of a two tiered cake).

Both cakes were easily the best wedding cake I’ve eaten. I preferred the lemon but they were both incredible. The cake was not only delicious, but it was also beautiful.

Hazel and Hillary were so helpful and easy to work with! They answered a lot of my questions and were generally just great.

I definitely recommend Layers! They won’t disappoint.

I knew when I decided I was having a wedding cake that it had to be from Layers because their cakes are just the best. Initially when I contacted them, they said they couldn’t do it the week before christmas because they were so busy, but Hilary talked to the chef and some kind of magic happened because they agreed to do it. I got my gorgeous spooned French butter cream Princess cake (with gorgeously arranged flowers) delivered to my venue the morning of my wedding and it was as delicious as ever! My husband and I ate the top tier for christmas! Thank you so much!

We loved our wedding cake made by Layers! It was delicious and the design came out just as we hoped. Hilary and Hazel were professional and responsive and the cake arrived on time. We also ordered some additional treats from their bakery for our dessert table which were also beautiful and tasty. Highly recommend!

Holy cow, the cake Hilary at Layers made for our wedding. It was SO INCREDIBLE. I mean, just amazing. My husband is a designer and made a 3 page design document to describe how we wanted the cake to work. They were very happy to work with this, offering very good advice on how to balance what we wanted for taste (buttercream was a must, fondant tastes awful no matter who makes it) in order to achieve the look and taste we were looking at. Hilary did a spectacular job. Not only did the cake look amazing, it was literally some of the best cake I have ever eaten in my entire life. And I assure you, none of the other cakes on the short list of My Best Cakes were wedding cakes, which in my anecdotal experience, usually tastes not that great. NOT this cake, it was FANTASTIC both inside and out. I've seen the negative reviews here but I have to say that this was not my experience at all. Communication was professional, prompt, and thorough. The result was fantastic looking, fantastically delicious, promptly delivered and very reasonably priced.

We absolutely loved our wedding cake from Layers!! The cake tasted delicious, and I love how they use high-quality ingredients. We had a custom (ocean-themed) design that turned out amazing! We had so many compliments on our cake, from the design to the taste! We worked with Hilary and she was awesome!

The bakers at layers give you full options to fit ANY budget wether you want cupcakes or a two tier or maybe 5 tier cake they'll go over if your dream can be made a reality! I wouldn't have gone anywhere else for our big day. Many selections of flavors and fillings along with previous designs to look at and create your own!

Absolutely delicious and gorgeous wedding cake! They created exactly what I wanted and worked with my florist to incorporate flowers to the design. The tasting was a fabulous experience and the flavors are out of this world!

Wonderful service, and professional staff. The cake was delivered to the venue on time on a Sunday when the shop is closed. Well done!

Get your wedding cake here!! It's delicious, and the works of art that you get are worth every cent. My husband and I got a gorgeous 2-tier cake from them, and absolutely loved it. We not only got to choose flavors, but also colors and the ingredients for the decorations. I was not expecting to be able to customize our cake in such detail! And their cake designs are so fresh and original. I'd go with them again in a heartbeat.

Our wedding cake was better then we imagined. It was delicious. Everything absolutely perfect. Everyone loved all the flavors. We a 3 tier cake. Top was fresh blueberries, the layer chocolate, and bottom was lemon. We will be returning customers.

Layers Sensational Cakes is awesome and we would highly recommend them! Our tasting was so fun and their cakes are delicious, we had no trouble picking them for our wedding cake and cupcakes. Their prices are reasonable and they didn't charge a delivery fee on Saturday! Amazing!

We did a mixture of wedding cake and cupcakes to give our guests some variety, and it worked out so well. We would definitely work with layers again!

We did a cupcake tier with a 6 inch cake on top for our wedding and it came out amazing! It was so delicious and looked exactly how I wanted it to! They were always very professional when I spoke to them and even the tasting room was very nice and elegant.

All I can say are rave reviews for our amazing wedding cake! It was so adorable & tasted seriously amazing! My very picky groom and my baker sister were even blown away by how great the cake was! We hired Hazel and Layers Sensational Cakes to prepare our wedding cakes and desserts for our wedding in Carmel. We had a few different sample tastings and everything was so good and fresh that we decided to not have a traditional tiered cake rather have 3 small cakes plus some babycakes and some brownie bites! They were all amazing! At one point during the wedding when I noticed the cakes had been put out on display I was so excited because each were nicely decorated to match the theme of the flavor of the cakes...Our sample cakes were not decorated and I was going to be fine with just a plain white cake as we had plans to add succulents to them. They were just as good as when we tried them previously and our guests ate just about all the cake...I found a few small slices the morning after our wedding in the fridge and without a doubt, had a couple bites for breakfast :) Highly recommend using Layers. They did a great job!!!

We did not do a wedding cake but decided on cupcakes and they were fantastic!!! I can say that their cakes are very yummy as well.....check them out!!! We had white cupcakes with lemon cream cheese frosting......our favorite!!!

I grew up in Monterey and have had Layers Cakes nearly my whole life. I was never the type of woman to plan out her dream wedding, but I always knew I wanted a Layers cake for my wedding cake. I did the cake tasting with my mom, my MOH, and my go to gal and we had a blast! Everyone there was warm and the cakes were delicious. If there was a flavor I wanted to try they had it ready! I even was able to do a combination of cakes and fillings to see what was most fitting for the palettes of our guests. The design of the cake was one I had found in a magazine and the bakery was able to replicate it perfectly! The day of the wedding, all of our guests commented on how the cake was NOT DRY! My girlfriend was married a year ago and she said it had been the best wedding cake she had ever tasted. The flavors were deep and the cake was moist. There were three tiers and each tier was a different flavor. I recommend doing a lemon cake with raspberry filling... and uncommon choice since most people choose white cake, but it was the layer we had the most compliments on. It was my favorite as well!

Layers was our first choice for our wedding cake however we did not initially go to them as I thought it may be out my budget, boy was I wrong. After going to another (will not name) vendor in the area and feeling discouraged with how high their price was for a minimal cake we decided to go ahead and just see what our ideal vendor charges-we were so surprised to see that it was totally reasonable as we already knew they had phenomenal desserts/cakes. The tasting was just delightful, we were brought into a separate room which had all of their best flavors ready to be tasted. It was so hard to choose as they were all delicious but we ended up getting 3 different layers which would provide a nice variety to our guests. On the wedding day I was so excited to see my beautiful cake which was just what I wanted. It's sometimes difficult to get a cake that not only looks good but tastes good and Layers accomplished both. I am so happy we went with Layers and will recommend them to everyone I know getting married as they are the very best!

What a stunning and delicious cake! So helpful and they give you great suggestions. I just looked through their gallery, picked my favorite cake, and they personalized it with the colors of our wedding. Hazel and her staff are wonderful! I planned my wedding from Colorado, and Hazel was wonderful over the phone. Then, when we were in town for our one visit to finalize everything for our wedding, we had a tasting. The staff who greeted us were wonderful! They offered my whole group (me, my now husband, my in-laws, and my mother) coffee while we waited. Then, Hazel was so warm and friendly as she guided us through the tasting and lookbook. Our cake was absolutely delicious, and it was just gorgeous. We had different flavored layers: death by chocolate, princess, and lemon, and they were all DELICIOUS. I highly recommend Layers if you are looking for a bakery to make your wedding cake!

Layer's Sensational Cakes is the best! We went in about 3 months before our wedding. We got to do a cake tasting which was like heaven already. They are very flexible as to how you want it to be designed. You can have any color you want. Also, if you want flowers on the cake, you can just have someone deliver real flowers the day before the wedding and they can decorate it ever so beautifully for you. Although we only got the 3-tiered cake, they have other services like getting an extra sheet cake for serving or even cupcakes if you want them! We chose the red velvet for our bottom layer (it is to die for!), the white with raspberry for our second layer and the lemon cake for our top layer (which is in our freezer just waiting to be eaten). As long as your reception is in the Monterey area, they will deliver it for free! This is part of their services which is awesome. I can't say enough how much their cakes taste soooo gooood! We worked with Hazel, who is so amazaing. She was very flexible with us and asked us how we wanted it designed. She can recommend different types of icings, flavors, designs for you. Also, I believe if you are a local or you are in the military, you can get a 10% discount, which helps out a lot. My brother had his wedding on 10/08/10 and recommended us to go to Layers for our wedding cake as well. I recommend everyone to use them! They have wonderful services, but most of all delicious cakes! :)

Layers provided the cupcakes for my wedding. They made everything very easy. We walked in, grabbed a sample box of their flavors to taste at home, and then went back a few weeks later and made our decisions. They were very helpful in determining the amount cupcakes, what flavors, and how many of each kind to get. They also through in an extra cake for us to use for the cake cutting at no extra charge. We paid a little extra and they delivered the cupcakes to the venue and set them up on the stands that we provided. A friend used them at her wedding for her cake and recommended them to me and would also recommend them to any of my friends.

We had a destination wedding, so we unfortunately couldn't go cake tasting in the Monterey Peninsula. But it was very easy to work with Layers from a distance. I talked to a few bakeries, but they were the most flexible, more affordable and had the flavors we wanted: carrot cake/cream cheese & chocolate/raspberry hazelnut :) Our wedding was in a vineyard with an outside ceremony and a fun wedding reception inside the barrel room, so we wanted a cake to go with it: elegant simplicity with an organic feel. After only a couple of phone calls and emails with Hazel, we decided on a three tiered french butter cream topping decorated with natural flowers. I barely had a few bites on our wedding day, but i was glad to take the top tiered carrot cake...it was very moist and delicious. Needless to say, we're not doing the 1 year anniversary tradition..it was breakfast for a few days :

Layers is my favorite bakery in Monterey, so of course I wanted them for my wedding cake. They did not disappoint! They sat down with me and let me taste the various cakes and icings. The red velvet was my favorite because it seemed to have a little bit of a chocolate taste which made it that much better. Thanks, Layers, for a scrum-diddly-umptious wedding cake! I wish I hadn't let my hubby-to-be talk me out of getting 4 layers instead of only 3. The guests wanted to try both flavors, then went back for even more! So even though we only had about 65 people there, I was left with only about 5 or 6 servings. Guess some of them were gluttons-in-hiding, like me.

I don't think the top layer will last a year chilling in the freezer. I'll blame a power outage causing the cake to go bad if/when my hubby discovers the box missing. I'd blame the dog, but we don't have a dog. And thanks for the sample cakes and the surprise apple pie waiting for us when we got back to our suite after the reception! Suh-weeet beginning to a wonderful marriage!

I was pretty busy at my wedding and so I don't really recall how the cake tasted, however, I remember from my tastings that the cake here is just devine. Plus all my guests later told me that they rushed back and ate as many cupcakes as they could get their hands on. It was a big hit!
I just ordered a small 2tier cake in sea green, they put some really pretty seashell decor on them, then I had a cupcake tower those were also decorated with shells.

my only recomendation is to go for the 3 teir cake, i didn't realize until i saw it how small 2 tiers look next to a huge cupcake tower :) great service, Tony was awesome to work with.

Layers did both the groom's cake (carrot cake shaped like a Super Mario mushroom), and our wedding cake (3 tier death by chocolate with marzipan). Both were so delicious, and both didn't have that stale wedding cake taste. They were moist and fresh tasting. All our guests loved the cake, we can't wait for our 1 year anniversary to eat it again!

The only thing that can be said for this amazing business is that the very day we had our cake tasting with them, we signed a contract, paid them in full up front and cancelled our appointments with other bakeries. Not only are their cakes absolutely beautiful, but they taste indescribable. Seriously, they have cakes with names like Death by Chocolate, Princess Cake and Italian Rum with fillings like Hazelnut Cream and Lemon Curd that can be smothered in things like Poured White Chocolate or Marzipan!!!!! Honestly, we cant drive anywhere in or near Monterey since that fateful cake tasting appointment, without stopping for a bite. And yes, they sell it by the slice and the variety available by slice changes daily.

Layers did an AMAZING job on our cake! I literally gasped when I saw it. I sent one tiny picture I had found online of the dream cake. Our cake looked EXACTLY like it. It was absolutely perfect, and tasted great! I overheard my brother-in-law saying, 'Now this is what cake should taste like!' Their services were arranged through the Highlands Inn in Carmel, so I can't speak directly to the quality of the service. What I do know is that it was there on time and exactly what we wanted. I was extremely happy with Layers cake. I had envisioned a cake and had shown them about 3 different photos to get what I wanted. They did exactly that. I was a little nervous about putting together, teal, orange and green, but they did it perfect. I wish I could attach a photo. The cake was the talk of the lunch and everyone who saw a photo thought it was the coolest cake ever.

Layers created our cake and other small desserts for our wedding at Holman Ranch. Our experience with Layers was fantastic from the tasting through to our wedding day. Layers provided an absolute gem of a cake for our wedding. The product they produced matched my vision perfectly. Not to mention the cake was amazing to eat! Layers Sensational Cakes created our weddings cakes and they were absolutely delectable. We worked with Hilary and Hazel for our big day desserts and they walked us through each delicious step. The end result was a beautiful three tier gold banded lemon cake and a sheet carrot cake. Our guests clearly loved them both because there was not a slice in sight at the end of the night!

We received EXACTLY what we wanted for our Garden Patio wedding cake! We wanted something delightful yet not too elegant since we had a beach with slight bohemian style wedding. We sent the bakery a picture of what we wanted and they designed it exactly to what we wanted. Our top layer was Death by Chocolate and the bottom layer was Tiramisu. We didn't have a tasting because it was a destination wedding so we just went with our intuition but the cake turned out to be very moist and delicious. For the most part, the bakery was very responsive to our emails and phone calls when it came to order our cake but towards the end I believe there was some miscommunication and they delivered the cake to the reception without the decorations on the cake. We set it up so the flower decorations could arrive to the bakery the day before but they delivered the cake before the flowers even got there.

Our cake was beautiful, simple, and delicious. We were blown away by how good it was when we did our first tasting, especially since we had a particular flavor in mind -tres leches - which most places (in my opinion) don't do well. It was delivered on time and we had no issues at all. My only regret is that we didn't really get to enjoy our own food and cake during our wedding because we were so busy having fun and spending time with guests, so I guess it isn't really a regret at all :)

My husband and I are really looking forward to a future anniversary trip back up to Carmel so we can get a slice of the wedding cake we never got to eat!

Layers made my wedding cake, and it came out perfect! I gave them a design I had found on the internet and it couldn't of come out any more exact. The ladies are all very nice! Delicious Delicious Delicious is what comes to mind first. Fresh, moist, and yum yum!! Hazel was the person we worked with, mostly via our wedding planner. She was very helpful when you could catch up with her - definitely knew her business and made great recommendations. She was also very accomodating. In addition to the first 6 tastings provided, a few months later she made available a 2nd tasting of one of the choices. In addition, she did an excellent job of incorporating our wedding theme on the cake. The people staffing the store front didn't seem to be clued in so much and couldn't answer any of our questions. So, we were very reliant on catching up with Hazel. Since we had planned well ahead of the date, this was not a problem for us.

I picked Layers because not only did they offer more cake options compared to others I went to in Monterey, but they were priced on the low side for the quality and taste I wanted. The cake tasted great, although I only got that "one" bite. However, the cake was not designed the way I informed them. They missed one piece of information that changed the whole look of the cake, but it was still beautiful. Other than recommending you go for this place, and at least a month in advance or they could be booked, definitely make sure they've got all the right information in mind the week of the wedding to ensure they do it your way.

Hazel did an amazing job for our wedding cake. I requested a unique Morocco inspired design (my husband is moroccan) and she delivered perfectly. The cake was paid by our friend as one of our wedding gifts so i'm not sure about the pricing. But I believe it's worth very penny.

Although we got off to a rough start, our overall experience was great! Initially getting in contact with our consultant was difficult and emails were sporatic, but once we met at the tasting, we really hit if off. Not only was the cake beautiful and delicious, it was exactly what I had requested -- which was not a typical wedding cake. Delivery was timely and guests loved it! We ordered a small two-tier wedding cake for a small and private wedding on St. Patricks' Day. We ordered it late in the game and the staff was very flexible. Layers staff also accommodated our quirky flavor, "poppy seed cake with almond flavored frosting!" (delicious by the way!) They designed the cake off a picture we emailed and it was beautiful. The 4.5 rating is for two reasons: 1) They didn't deliver to our location (25 minutes/miles way). So that was inconvenient and a little scary as it's the first layer cake I've had in my car. Luckily no bumps or mishaps along the way. 2) there wasn't a top cover for the box. I realize it is a 2-tier cake but again, it felt unsafe without a top. All in all - great cake design, great service and the cake itself wasn't just for show - it was very fresh and yummy!

Delicious cakes! Unlike some of the negative reviews, we found the staff and Hazel the owner friendly and helpful. Their cakes are out of this world good! We just tasted five different cakes for our wedding cake and ended up going with the lemon. The delivery and decoration was as we requested, and no snafus in getting the cake to our small wedding party at Casanova. We just had a single tier cake since our party was so small, so perhaps that contributed to the ease. But I was very happy with how it all turned out and would recommend without hesitation to a friend.

My wedding cake turned out amazing!! We ended up choosing the White Cake with fresh cut strawberries/whip cream in the middle with a french buttercream frosting. We opted to do a simple 2 tier cake and the rest sheet cake and the pricing was very reasonable. I have received so many compliments on how beautiful our wedding cake was and more importantly how AMAZING it tasted! Thanks again!!

We chose layers for our wedding cake...

The cake looked absolutely gorgeous and everyone thought the cake tasted wonderfully! We received many compliments on how great the cake was...

The only downfall to our experience was that 2 out of the 3 layers were incorrect... The layer we cut into and fed to each other was not even correct which was a total bummer for us since we were so excited for our cake...

I called Layers after the wedding to inform them of the discrepancy with our cake and I almost felt like the issue was not taken too seriously... I received an apology which was nice but I just got the feeling as if it were not a big deal =(

I asked that they make us a replacement cake topper for our 1 year anniversary for the inconvenience and they said they would...

The quality of the cake was great! The bummer was that we only received 1 layer out of 3 that correct.

The cake was delicious and they are very professional! The only thing I didn't like was the ribbon and brooches they used on my cake. My cake was only going to plain white fondant, but with really nice elaborate ribbon and brooches around each layer. They looked really cheap though. I should have just supplied them myself I suppose, but they had assured me that they would use only high quality materials (including the ribbon). Other than that, everyone really enjoyed the cake. They also threw in some free cupcakes for the kids at the wedding, so that was really nice of them! I would recommend them to other brides.

The cake was delicious and beautiful! We were very happy with the results and Layers was very easy to work with! It was a little tough getting a hold of someone when I called about changes I wanted to make, but overall it was a good experience at a good price...

We loved the atmosphere of this bakery. Very friendly, family oriented staff. Wonderful tasting experience. Cake was what we wanted. Not sure the cake was the same flavor that we chose when we did the tasting but it was still wonderful. Would recommend this bakery to anyone, anytime.

I had a small wedding and decided to go with cupcakes with a cake topper and honestly, I would have paid more than what they charged me. The cakes were yummy, and they looked beautiful! I have been getting my brithday cake here since I was sixteen, I'm now 27, and hae always known I would get my wedding cake here. The only disappointment was that I felt like I had to chase them down to get answers to questions and then to follow up in the weeks before the big day. Thankfully, they came through beautifully and I would definitely recommend them to anyone, just be sure to be on your A game.

Layers cakes was easy to work with and responsive. However, we asked them to do a custom cake and it fell short, really short on our expectations. The cake tasted great but otherwise we weren't pleased.

EVERYONE loved my cake and it was GORGEOUS and tasted ABSOLUTELY incredible. I chose the Strawberry Shortcake with Buttercream icing and It was so good, it had fresh sliced strawberry's, the cake was moist and soft and the buttercream was the perfect combination it wasn't overly sweet it was perfectly decadent. On the phone they weren't very nice and it was hard to get through to anyone I was on hold for 30 minutes one time because they forgot about me so I had to call back. But overall what was important was that my husband and I enjoyed the cake and so did our guests.

Let me start by saying Hazel is awesome. We communicated through email and by phone. We came in to taste a few flavors and they were delicious.

I had emailed pictures and communicated very specifically what I wanted the design to look like. We did a three tier, two single side tiers and a dozen cupcakes. I wanted the frosting to look like a rose on top of each of the cupcakes and again showed pictures of exactly what I wanted, I was assured that it was no problem. Unfortunately I didn't see the display until my husband and I went to cut the cake. The designs were not as I had shown them, and the cupcakes looked like regular cupcakes ( no rose design)

What I can say is they still looked beautiful, they just weren't what I had specified. And the flavors were definitely the best I had ever had. All in all I wasn't completely disappointed

Our cake was beautiful and relatively affordable. The only thing that I wasn't impressed with was the lack of availability on their part to meet with me to do cake tasting. As I was an out of town bride, it was difficult for me to set up an appointment for a week day, but there was no availability for the weekend. I was not entirely pleased with my cake flavor, but of course that was only a small part of the big day. I would recommend them if you live in the area, or are able to set up an appointment to select your cake flavor. They were worth it, and provided free delivery if the reception was in the Monterey area.

I have to say - I was all excited to have Layers do my cake (since their designs are amazing), but just for good measure, I booked 2 appointments to shop around for a vendor. The first place I went to (not Layers) had the most incredible cake flavors & their designs weren't as great as Layers, but they said that they could definitely do my design. When I went to layers next, their cake tasted so bland after having the first choice. The icing tasted like it was whipped crisco & the cake tasted like regular pound cake. Plus, because of the design I wanted, they insisted on fondant (which is not what I wanted) & jacked the price up. Overall, if you're only concern is design, this place is great - but I do not recommend them due to their cake taste & prices.
