We first met Lawton when he was the DJ at my brother-in-law’s wedding. At the time, we weren’t even engaged yet, but we made sure to grab his business card because we knew right away he would be our guy when our turn came.
From start to finish, Lawton kept our wedding day moving seamlessly. He handled all of our requests effortlessly and in a way that felt completely natural and stress-free. He also worked so smoothly with our other vendors, which made everything run even better behind the scenes.
Lawton is a true professional in every sense of the word. We couldn’t have asked for a better DJ for our wedding day, and I would book him a million times over without hesitation!

We are a family owned automotive dealer group. Our annual Christmas party has grown and grown as our business has grown. Our last party on December 9th, 2024 had 500+ in attendance & we have used Lawton for the 11th year in a row. He is always a professional but always a FUN add to the party. We chose Lawton Lunce as the DJ for our wedding and we could not have been happier as he brought an amazing energy to the reception! He got things going from the very first song, with a “game” that got everyone on the dance floor! People were dancing all night long and it was clear they were really enjoying themselves. Lawton did everything we asked of him and was very professional and easy to work with in all our interactions. He also provided the sound for the wedding which was fantastic. The sound was clear and easy to hear yet he kept very much in the background for that part. One of the things he did that we really appreciated was his suggestions as to the timeline of the reception - when to do toasts, dances, cake cutting etc…. He really had some good suggestions that kept the evening flowing perfectly. Lawton definitely exceeded my expectations and I would HIGHLY recommend him!

Lawton was the perfect DJ for our wedding! From the first time we spoke with him, he was upbeat, professional, and very communicative. He used his experience to give us thoughtful advice without overrunning any of our own vision for the day, and was enthusiatic about our personal requests. He was also proactive in asking questions/making suggestions about our schedule and rain plan when the weather did not work out in our favor - overall, he was the easiest to work with of all our vendors.
At our wedding, he worked directly with our caterer and photographer to keep our guests informed and the event flowing smoothly. During the reception, he happily took guest requests and played a mix of music that got all generations onto the dance floor. We highly recommend him!

Lawton is the most incredible DJ ever! I cannot stress how much I would recommend him for your wedding. He has DJ'd all of my siblings weddings (3) and finally just DJ'd my wedding this August. He is extremely professional, willing to help in any regard, and has the most amazing taste in music. This lets him be able keep people on the dance floor and the party going all night (which is SO important for a wedding!) There was never a time where guests were not on the dance floor and I was worried. He also is an amazing MC who will help with the schedule of your wedding, make sure you are ready and announce important events, and overall cares about making your day special for you. I could go on forever about him, but if you have to take away one thing it would be that I promise you will not be disappointed with hiring Lawton as your DJ!

Lawton DJ'd our friend's wedding and was recommended to us by them. We would highly recommend Lawton to any couple! Lawton is professional, flexible and incredibly responsive. His DJing at the wedding was amazing! I have never seen another DJ with Lawton's ability to read the vibe of the dance floor and play the songs at the perfect moment. Even with requested songs, he knew exactly where to place them in the playlist. We had numerous people tell us they loved Lawton's DJing and MCing. Lawton has got to be one of the best DJs this side of the Mississippi! From the beginning of the planning all the way to the last song of our reception he was simply on point! He zoom called us twice to hammer our details and finalize plans, and was full of great suggestions to get us to what we would want. He set up sound outside for the wedding, in the hallway with the bars and cocktail hour, and in the dining room too! He had a great lighting system and his flow for keeping people on the dance floor was stellar! Good Times with a Great DJ Who Totally Set the Tone!
When we got engaged, the very first vendor that we had picked out for our wedding was Lawton Lunce Mobile Entertainment (LLME). Beyond the fact that Lawton was a personal friend of my husband’s, we had been to a wedding together that he had been a DJ at and were very impressed with his work. He was extremely professional and easy to work with - he invited us to an introductory Zoom call and provided a thorough questionnaire, asking us to identify the overall vibe and which songs we wanted for every important moment in our wedding ceremony and reception (even the ones we hadn’t thought of!). We struggled a bit with a few of the song selections, but Lawton had excellent advice and suggestions. He was easy to communicate with throughout the entire process, responding promptly every time. Lawton even went above and beyond and came up to our venue for the rehearsal to scope out the place, meet our officiant, and understand the cues for our ceremony. As the master of ceremonies, he helped our day run smoothly and on time. We made a special request for a private last dance at the end of the night and Lawton made it happen. It was MAGICAL. After the wedding, many of our guests came up to us to say how great Lawton’s music selections were and how much fun they had (several of them said that it was the most fun they ever had at a wedding). Words are not enough to express our gratitude for Lawton! We HIGHLY recommend hiring LLME for your wedding!

If you’re looking for a very organized evening of fun, hire Lawton! He made the entire planning process so easy and he’s always available to chat. He had a lot of experience with our venue and he made sure the music had flawless continuity between the ceremony, cocktail hour, and the reception. Lawton’s communication skills even on the night of the wedding were amazing! He connected instantly with the venue coordinator and our photographer / videographer and the timing of the entire night was perfect. Our dance floor was never empty and he knew how to read the room. Some of our songs were a bit unique but Lawton took care of downloading everything right away. We highly recommend Lawton!!

Lawton DJ’d for the wedding where my husband and I met, and we thought was great, so we hired him for our wedding reception! He is the perfect combination of professional and fun! A night to remember!
When you are looking for a DJ for the most important night of your life, you hope the person you find is someone who will keep the party going all night long. Lawton is that person! He was also very respectful, helpful, engaging, and thoughtful! The night was full of awesome moments but the best ones were when we were partying on the dance floor! After attending tons of weddings over the last several years, I knew just how important a good DJ was to having an awesome wedding reception and Lawton MADE our wedding reception. Right from when I first contacted Lawton, I loved his vibe and knew he would be the perfect amount of professionalism and party!
Lawton kept the dance floor packed all night long. He was super responsive to guest requests but also was a master at selecting just the right songs to keep the party going. We were fully expecting guests to trickle out throughout the night but at the end of our reception, we were shocked that almost all our guests, young and old, had stuck around for the awesome party! For days, guests raved to us about how awesome our DJ was and how much fun they had. If you hire Lawton, you will not be disappointed!

Lawton was our DJ for our wedding and it was the best experience! He knows his music and had awesome music recommendations for our ceremony and reception. He was really fun, up beat and super professional. We had a very small wedding and he still kept the party going till the end. We got married on 10/2/20 & were so impressed with his DJ skills. He was so thorough and went above and beyond to make our day perfect. Sound quality is fantastic, especially taking on COVID changes to move all of our events completely outside. The dance patio was full all night even in 40 degree weather! Great mix of music. Nice guy and easygoing. Definitely would recommend his DJ service for any wedding! Worth every penny!

We hired Lawton Lunce to DJ our wedding on July 13th and it was one of the BEST wedding planning decisions we made! All of our guests were dancing until the very end of the night. Where to begin? Lawton was fantastic! From the first email he was wonderful and willing to give us advice on so much of the wedding planning process. We met up with Lawton and he talked us through what he would do for our wedding and asked us what we wanted for the ceremony and reception (giving us pointers along the way, which was exactly what we were looking for). We sent Lawton all of our music selections and a few days before our wedding he called to confirm everything and he had everything ready. Day of, Lawton was amazing! Our pre-ceremony and ceremony music went beautifully, cocktail hour/dinner music was spot on with some of our personal favorites being played, and he had people dancing the whole night! But honestly, THE WHOLE NIGHT! Lawton also did a great job of making announcements to keep all of our guests in the know for what was coming up. We can't recommend Lawton more!!

Hire Lawton!
I'm an Event Planner in Chicago, and heard about Lawton through another Event Planner who used him for her wedding. As you can imagine, my expectations were high since I work with a lot of great DJs/bands/entertainment companies. But after talking to Lawton and listening to his samples, I decided to hire him. I was SO happy with my decision. Lawton had great suggestions and ideas throughout the planning process. I had 100 people at my wedding, and he was constantly thinking of how to best keep everyone on the dance floor. He is high energy, but can bring that down if you prefer something more professional/relaxed. We personally wanted to hype up the party, and Lawton brought that! Right from our first meeting with him my wife and I could tell that he was going to do a great job. He has been DJ weddings for a long time and knows all the questions to ask and how to make everything work. He is very organized and delevops a plan to make your wedding exactly how you want it. Your dance floor will never be empty. He defenitly knows how to keep the party going. His personality is very energetic. Lawton walks you through every aspect of your reception a few days before your event so that you get everything covered. He coordinated with our photographer so she could get the group shots that we wanted as well. Class act, super professional.

If you don't hire Lawton to be your DJ, it'll be the biggest mistake you make in planning your wedding. We had Lawton travel to us in Chicago because we had to have him. He kept our guests dancing from the minute dinner was over until our hall shut down and made us leave! Lawton was able to please everyone their by taking requests but making sure he played ours too. We really enjoyed having Lawton as our DJ! He is very personable, energetic, responsive, organized and attentive! We had a couple of meetings with him in advance of our wedding so he felt prepared and aware of our likes and dislikes and he truly provided great customer service. He absolutely crushed it for us. Lawton worked with us to craft a playlist that incorporated the exact music we wanted. He kept the energy high all night, and flawlessly mixed one song into the next. I would definitely recommend Lawton. He is very professional, easy-going and organized. When we first were shopping around for DJs, he met with us and gave us a run down on how the wedding evening would go. He was very professional and answered all our questions. Whenever we had a question he responded very quickly. When the day came for the wedding, he exceeded our expectations and kept our guest entertained and dancing.
Overall Lawton is worth every penny we spent. A very friendly person and he definitely want your guest to enjoy your wedding and make it a memorable one because that is what he did with ours.

Lawton was 95% of the reason why our wedding reception was everything we wanted it to be! He was timely with all responses leading up to the wedding day and he was able to edit down to the very second some select songs we chose for our grand entrance. As 2 music lovers ourselves, Lawton made our day memorable with his choice of songs when we provided him with "type of songs" we wanted played. We will recommend him to any and everyone!! STOP looking for another DJ- Book Lawton! NOW.
After attending a wedding with Lawton as the DJ, it was thee first wedding I've ever attended when the dance floor was packed all night. My fiancé and I called Lawton the next day, Lawton met us THAT day, and book him for our wedding. Lawton is in resivly reaponsive to emails/texts,professional, and overall a great person. I cannot emphasize or reccomend Lawton enough. We had the time of our life at our wedding, and I owe a majority of that to the incredible atmosphere Lawton created for our reception. Please take my word for it. I DO not have a bad thing to say.

Having Lawton Lunce as our DJ was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! He was amazing from start to finish. When we first met with him, he gave an overview of how he tends to run his dj services for the wedding and we were set on choosing him by the end of the meeting - and he upheld everything he discussed in our meeting on our actual wedding day! Lawton is the perfect mix of professional and fun, and I would recommend him to anyone looking to have a great dj for their special events.

This guy is the bomb! He seriously made our night so fun and enjoyable for everyone in attendance. You don't just get a DJ, he acted as a coordinator as well. He kept us on track for dinner, cake cutting, first dance, etc. Wjen the party actually got started, it never ended. Our guests danced all night and we had so many people asking about our DJ. He was seriously so great!

Lawton was awesome--all the way from booking and planning--through the day of our event--all the way to the end.
He was friendly, energetic, and extremely accommodating with everyone's requests. He even stayed later than we contracted for--to take care of all the last minute requests he was getting. I highly recommend Lawton and would definitely hire him again!

Lawton truly went above and beyond to help make our wedding day absolutely incredible! He was always so professional and accommodating, but at the same time charming, personable and fun – the perfect MC. He took the time to meet in person, and talk over the phone to go over every detail of the ceremony, day, and music choices. He really listened and was so organized. We had a beautiful multi-cultural wedding, thanks in part to Lawton's ability to blend Spanish and American music seamlessly. I can't recommend him enough!

Best DJ in the area!! He has a great voice for announcing and makes the couples song requests priority. Highly recommended!! We have referred him so much that it's rare we go to a friends wedding and he isn't the DJ.

There are not enough GREAT things to say about Lawton. From step one he was prepared, professional and a ton of fun! He was willing to meet at random times, (when I was in the state for holidays, on weekend, etc.), and always made sure that we were on the same page about every detail. He perfectly blended my husband and I's two styles of music and kept so many people on the dance floor all night long. When we didn't know what songs to use, he always had a few things to suggest. So many people at our wedding said that this was some of the best music and entertainment at any wedding they had ever been to!

Absolutely wonderful, not one glitch on the big day, on time, professional, so much fun. I was planning my wedding in Florida for a Michigan wedding. He helped me with pointers and suggestions. Upbeat, and friendly. If I had to do it all again, I would pick Lawton 100%.

Lawton was totally amazing. He was communicative, flexible, a professional in every interaction. Even more importantly, his music selections were simply perfect. We provided just general genres for each part of the reception and his song selections within each were spot on. We didn't have a huge dancing crowd, but I was really impressed with how well and how frequently Lawton read the crowd and changed the song or genre appropriately to pull people back to the dance floor and keep everyone going. We had people dancing until the very last song, which I never would have guessed given our crowd; it is really a reflection Lawton's skills.
One thing I was really concerned about when interviewing DJs was finding someone energized and able to keep the party going without stealing the show or being at ail cheesy or hokey, and Lawton was exactly what I was looking for.
Overall, Lawton offers extraordinary value for the money; he was worth every penny.

Lawton was our DJ for our wedding, and we truly couldn't ask for someone better! He was on time for everything, and kept us in line on what was coming next. He played every song we requested. Originally my husband and I were going to leave at 11:30 and we ended up staying the whole time because the dance floor was completely full and the music was amazing! All our friends and family said it was one of the best weddings they have been too! Thanks to Lawton for keeping the dance floor going ALL night!
