Ryan is amazing!

Ryan did everything in her power to help our day be as special as possible! Covid has made wedding season hard for everyone, but she helped me and my new husband have a lovely micro wedding. It wasn’t perfect, our ceremony music did not go as planned, but that is such a minor detail as Ryan or her assistant usually handles that and Ryan was marrying us, and her assistant was dealing with sick children. She got a volunteer to come in and help with the music, and even though that did not go perfectly, everything else went great! So grateful for Ryan and everything she did! Plus the space is incredibly beautiful. While we are sad we could not have the big wedding we wanted, we were happy to still have a beautiful special day with the people we loved most around us, and Ryan made sure it ran smoothly. She works so hard. Wonderful place to get married at. If we ever have a vow renewal, I would very much like to have it at the Lawton Community Center! Photos by Bailee B. Photography

Amazing Venue and Coordinator!!

Our wedding was August 15th, 2020, and we have been so incredibly thankful for everything the Lawton Community Center has done! Seriously, the horror stories surrounding the pandemic should make everyone nervous about booking any venue but the LCC is very flexible given the situation and actually cares and wants you to have a great day. Obviously our wedding was impacted by COVID and we had to make sacrifices, but the communication from the venue coordinator Ryan was so awesome And flexible. She really went through and laid all of our options out on the table, was very honest about what she could and couldn’t do, and ultimately made the best out of our situation while sticking to the rules and regulations set by the governor and county. We couldn’t be more thankful for picking a venue that cares! You won’t be stuck with a COVID horror story if you choose this venue.

Beyond Amazing

Our wedding was an absolute dream come true thanks to The Lawton Community Center venue and staff. Ryan Caldwell is an amazing person who is so passionate about her job and cares so deeply for her clients. She went above and beyond to make sure our day was everything we wanted it to be and more. We would not have wanted to be booked with anyone else when Covid-19 decided to show up. Ryan, again, went above and beyond to do everything she could to make our day magical while still following the CDC guidelines. The LCC took the proper precautions to be sure all of the staff and guests were safe. Masks and hand sanitizer were available to guests and common areas were thoroughly cleaned throughout the evening. We are so thankful to Ryan and the rest of the LCC for making our dream wedding come true, despite the pandemic that tried to ruin everything. We couldn't recommend this venue enough.

Wedding venue

We chose Lawton for our wedding venue and reception and it was phenomenal. Ryan and her crew go above and beyond to help make everything go so perfect. Our wedding day was absolute magic thanks to them.

The perfect venue for my perfect wedding

Had the PERFECT wedding thanks to Lawton Community center. Beautiful venue, amazing staff and delicious food. Ryan was so easy to work with and went out of her way to allow me to enjoy my day. I would highly recommend Lawton community center for anyones wedding. Especially so I can go there again!

Wedding of her dreams!!

Dream Wedding

We chose the Lawton Community Center for both the wedding and reception. I can only describe this venue as magical, romantic and enchanting. The old stone walls, warm wood tones and fireplaces create a warm and inviting space. It has both a masculine and feminine vibe that can take your decorating style in many directions. My daughter and son-in-law wanted an outdoor wedding, but recognized the stress of dealing with weather related issues. This venue gave us the opportunity to bring that "outdoor feel" inside with greenery and florals. The ceremony took place in front of the large door that was opened up to a wooded view and we filled the room with trees, bushes, other greenery and florals. It's been a few weeks since the wedding and we are still getting calls and messages from guests describing it as "the most beautiful wedding they've ever been too", plus the food was so delicious. As parents, that has us smiling from ear to ear knowing our guests felt the same way we did. When the wedding party first walked in the ceremony room we were in awe and the smell of peonies and garden roses from the florist, filled the room as if you were in a garden. EVERYONE talked of the beautiful stone walls and the"woodland" feel to the wedding. One guest even described it as if it was a "fairy tale wedding" it was so romantic, but yet had a masculine feel at the same time. There was no better compliment. We had the cocktail hour downstairs in the ceremony room and the reception was held upstairs. For the reception, there is a separate bar area with a beautiful oak bar, fireplace and additional seating. The walls have the same beautiful stone that was the perfect backdrop for the photo booth. Off the bar is a small deck for guests to sit outside. The food provided by Premier Catering was absolutely delicious and we received several compliments regarding how good it tasted. They have an excellent food selection for every budget. We choose the prime rib carving station. It's probably the best prime rib I've ever eaten. They were even willing to provide us with a nacho bar for a late night snack. A fully stocked nacho bar was a big hit with the guests too. While I can go on and on about the physical aspects of the venue, it's the personal service from Ryan and her staff that made this day so special. I'm a stickler to details and organization; they met and even exceeded my expectations. Ryan was ALWAYS available to answer my questions or concerns. Her suggestions were spot on. I don't know when the woman rests, she's like the energizer bunny, lol. On the day of the wedding and reception the wait staff was always around picking up dishes, glassware and refilling water pitchers etc. You never had to look far for someone to help with any of your needs. The staff was neat, courteous and smiling. They were even helpful with getting wedding gifts and cards upstairs. While the wedding venue is absolutely beautiful it was the personal service from the staff that made this day so wonderful. As a mother who worries about the smallest of details, I had a stressless and care free day because I knew my daughter's wedding was in capable hands. I truly was relaxed and danced the night away. The venue was perfect, the food was perfect and the staff was perfect. I don't say that in jest or lightly, it truly was a perfect and magical day. I will never forget the image of my daughter walking down the staircase greeted by her father, surrounded by the old stone walls, lush greenery, and florals. It really was a fairy tale wedding. I would absolutely recommend this venue to any bride.

Wonderful experience!

My daughter and new son-in-law got married at Lawton Community Center on May 18 and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Ryan is an amazing hostess; she’s very prompt in answering multiple e-mails and strives to accommodate your every need. Kudos to her assistants as well for their help. Many of our guests have never attended a wedding at the center and we received numerous compliments. The venue is quaint and welcoming; few decorations were required because the space is naturally beautiful. I can’t recommend LCC enough. They exceeded all of our expectations and we are thankful we chose this venue.

Nice venue and staff was easy to work with.

The venue looked great and Ryan was easy to work with. She was very responsive through email anytime we had questions. Dressing rooms were provided so we could get ready on-site. I would definitely recommend this place to others looking for a wedding and/or reception venue.

Simply perfect

Words really can't describe how wonderful it was to have our wedding at the Lawton Community Center! Ryan is too amazing for words! She is superwoman, everything for our big day way taken care of and my husband and I didn't have to worry about anything at all! Ryan, her staff, her recommended vendors made our day go so smoothly our guests are still reaching out to tell us how amazing our wedding was! Absolutely Perfect

I am honestly not even sure where to begin with explaining how amazing the Lawton Community Center is.

My sister got married here in 2008 and I never expected that 10 years later, I would get married at the exact same venue to the man of my dreams.

The entire process, from booking the venue to cleaning up after the wedding the next day, went flawlessly. Ryan was amazing to work with & was so knowledgeable about everything wedding related. She promptly answered all of my emails and calls.

All of our guests raved about how beautiful & unique the venue was. Everything was picture perfect & truly helped to make my wedding dreams a reality.

We cannot thank Ryan & the rest of the staff at the Lawton Community Center enough!

Absolutely perfect

i cannot say enough about my experience working with Ryan planning my wedding. She was very prompt when responding to emails and if I needed anything she was there for me. She made sure my day was as stress free as possible. I am still blown away with candle display she did for me and it ended up being one of my favorite things. People still rave about the food and how wonderful the whole day was. Ryan and her team were fabulous!

Ryan was amazing to work with. She helped make the decision making process and easy and precise and had the highest level of professionalism. The facility is gorgeous and so easy to use. Food was great. I have 3 daughters and I'd love to have all of them get married here!

This venue is hands down amazing. You don't need a wedding planner if you decide on this venue. They handle every detail for you and are so responsive to any and all questions. My wedding day was perfect in every way and they ran the show for me. I appreciate Ryan and her staff's attention to detail and making sure that my day was glorious. Our day was absolutely perfect. Ryan and her staff were absolutely amazing, professional, experienced, and fun. She took care of every little detail for the day of the wedding. I never had to worry that something wasn’t going as planned…the logistics always worked out and the event was totally and completely flawless. It rained during our ceremony, which made me SOO happy that we chose this beautiful, air conditioned indoor venue…and with the door open behind us, the rain was so beautiful. We had so much fun at the reception, the dance floor was big enough for everyone and the little details that Ryan puts into the decorating of the building really showed during all of our important moments. I would recommend this venue over and over again.

We had our dream wedding here. Ryan handled any problem we brought to her (and probably some problems we never even had to know\worry about) with confidence and professionalism. She responds to all contact super fast and she has great relationships with a lot of awesome vendors in the area. We didn't have to do anything on our wedding day but show up and it was magnificent.

Lawton Community Center is the best place ever to get married!! So awesome in every way!! Ryan is the abdolute best! She knows what she is doing and is the best at it! I had no worrues on our big day cause Ryan handled everything!

We had our daughter's wedding reception at the Lawton Community Center and it was amazing! The venue was beautiful, the food was delicious, and Ryan Caldwell was incredible! She was incredibly responsive and so helpful. All of our guests raved about the food and the venue. I would highly recommend the Lawton Community Center for your wedding and/or reception.

The staff was very professional and polite. They helped with the planning and giving suggestions for photography and Dj services. They made sure that our daughter and son in laws wedding went smoothly.

This venue has it all. The building is beautiful (I didn't even have to add any decorations), it can accommodate a large group, and Ryan and Lexi are life savers! They made my big day so easy. They help coordinate everything with the building! If I could give them 10 stars I would!! Worth every penny.

If you want a perfect wedding day, in a perfect setting, Lawton Community Center is the place to have it. Ryan and her staff are amazing, and they took care of every detail. We discussed the feel of the wedding, and Ryan took care of every detail for us. When I arrived the morning of the wedding, I was not worried about any detail. It made our day enjoyable and relaxed (as any bride can be) we could focus on the wedding ceremony and the joining of our lives and families, not stressing over details. I highly recommend Lawton Community Center. The facility is beautiful, having the museum downstairs and the clubhouse, gives your guests space to move around. We had 180 attending our wedding, and we never felt crowded. No set up, no clean up, catering is wonderful. I could not have hoped for more.

My sister got married here 8 years before I did, I fell in love with this venue then and when I checked it out for mine I fell in love with it all over again. Ryan was amazing and very attentive! This venue is beyond beautiful and very accommodating. The venue helped make that a day I will never forget.

Our reception at Lawton couldn't have been anymore perfect. Ryan & staff were always just an email away to handle any question, no matter how off the wall, in the months and days leading up to our big day. We couldn't be happier. It was the reception we'd dreamed of!

After attending a previous wedding at the Lawton Community Center, my husband and I knew right away that we wanted to have our wedding reception there as well when we began planning our own wedding. Ryan was great to work with and did more than I could have ever asked for to make sure I wasn't stressed out on my wedding day. From the very beginning of the process she made sure we had everything we needed to make sure our night was perfect. The food was delicious and we absolutely loved getting our photos taken in the museum. We received so many compliments after our wedding about how beautiful the community center was and that it's the perfect place for a wedding. We loved everything about it and would highly recommend Ryan and the Lawton Community Center!

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. I loved everything about the Lawton Community Center! The venue is absolutely beautiful. We took all of our pictures on site because there are so many awesome spots for photos there. Ryan and her team did an amazing job setting everything up and making sure my day went as smooth as possible. I really didn't have to worry about a single thing that day besides getting there on time. They took care of everything! My bridesmaids can be a sassy bunch, but Ryan kept them all in line and even kept an eye on my parents so that I didn't have to track them down for certain events. They even had champagne there waiting for my bridesmaids and I to drink while we finished getting ready. I honestly had zero stress for my wedding day thanks to Ryan.

No complaints at all! The community center is beautiful and all but the best part was that Ryan and the cater and Dj did everything they could to make my day run as smooth as possible. No one came to me to ask question or complain about something. Ryan took care of it all! Looking back, my wedding was absolutely the best day of my life and I would do it again and again but only if I had Ryan there. I do not think I could have done it without her. Ryan was there every step of the way: at rehearsal to give the bridal party a play-by-play, the day of the wedding she was there early and had everything set up the way I requested, and she was there after we left. She works very hard to get the couple everything they want in a wedding and is great about answering your questions.
The Lawton Community Center is the best place to have your wedding!

I can not even imagine our wedding day without those at the Lawton Community Center!!!! They made sure everything was top notch and in place, which made life for us less stressful the day of our wedding and leading up. Ryan and her crew took care of everything; set up, tear down, serving beverages, cutting the cake, corralling guests to where they needed to be next...it was amazing! And they have great advice too if you are an indecisive person like me :) and not to mention, the whole place is just absolutely gorgeous!!!!! Perfect for almost any theme you could think of! Our 1940's wedding looked so amazing inside those cobblestone walls. I am just in love with the place and those that work there. There isn't a single thing I would change about our wedding day thanks to Ryan and the crew!! :)

I had the best experience with Ryan and her staff. They were more than accommodating through out the whole process. The venue is fantastic and well worth the money spent. We had a phenomenal wedding and reception at the Lawton Community Center!! Ryan was great to work with! It could not have turned out better!! Definitely worth the money!! We added our own touch to the venue with a few decorations but it does not need much of anything! The staff were great!! The food was exceptionally great!!! Every one of our guests were taken back by the venue and how great the food was!!! We had a bit of a bump in the road with my dad and Ryan was right there to accommodate us!!! We could not have picked a better place! It was worth our drive there!!! Thank you for everything!!!

We got so many compliments on this venue. The Lawton Community Center really is a one of a kind venue for a wedding and reception. The building is so beautiful that you hardly need any decorations. The building was clean and ready to go for our Saturday wedding, even though there was a Friday night wedding there the night before. Ryan was professional yet really personable and helped with anything we needed. She was always responsive to our emails and questions, had an answer for everything and even sent a congratulatory card in the mail. We're so happy with our experience we had.

I cannot say enough about how perfect our wedding was at this Venue! Ryan did an AMAZING job with not only having the place presented beautifully but with helping us with everything from guidance on specifics for the entire day that we would have never thought of and completing the setup of the decorations that we brought without much assistance from us or our families. She has a very keen sense in understanding what couples want or how they want things to look without a ton of detail from them. Ryan is also very well respected by many DJ's, caterers, photographers and videographers which made the planning of these functions a lot easier on our end. Our guests raved about the place even days after the wedding. We also loved that our guests had the ability to peruse the Museum between the ceremony and reception while our pictures were being taken and cannot use enough words about how gorgeous our pics turned out from both inside and outside the venue for our fall wedding. You will be extremely disappointed if you do not at least look at the place and give Ryan a minute of your time! BEST... VENUE... EVER!!!

I can honestly say that my experience with the Lawton Community Center, Premier Catering, and working with Ryan was perfect. I would recommend the Lawton Community Center to everyone. When I dreamt of my wedding, I could only see it at the LCC! Ryan and her team helped to make the reception go off without a hitch! This venue is by far the prettiest in the Kalamazoo/Paw Paw, Michigan area! The indoor facade of rocks allows for beautiful decor no matter what your wedding theme is! The LCC also allows for an unlimited amount of photo location opportunities that would make your wedding photos unique and beautiful. Our family has now had about four or five weddings at LCC and we would not have them anywhere else!

My daughter had her wedding and reception there, it was beautiful! She wanted a vintage rustic look and we achieved it! I have had countless friends and family say that it was the most beautiful and fun wedding they have ever been to. Ryan was amazing to work with very helpful and kind. We rented white chairs for the reception area because we wanted a different look and she was more then accommodating since we were the first to do so. It has been two weeks now and people are still talking about how beautiful the wedding was. The attention to detail was exceptional. Absolutely amazing venue!! Ryan, the event coordinator, is amazing at her job!! Such an advocate for the bride and from and prides herself in hosting a fantastic wedding. The staff were very professional and accommodating. The price we paid for the ceremony (great room), the reception hall and the club room (very large bar) was HALF of what we would've paid for just the reception hall (which doesn't include tables and a dance floor, linens, wait staff etc...just the room) downtown kalamazoo. Lawton community center is an amazing value!! I would tell everyone to have their event there!!!

My husband and I chose Lawton Community Center for our wedding ceremony and reception in November. The venue was absolutely beautiful, and Ryan was so helpful and upbeat as plans were being made for the day. She promptly responded to any questions we had and was available to meet in the days and weeks leading up to the wedding to figure out things like catering and flowers. The weekend of our wedding went so smoothly. We were able to have the rehearsal at the Community Center, and Ryan was there to direct our celebrant and us as we made plans for the ceremony the following day. Our rehearsal was so efficient, and Ryan was able to answer any questions we had and to give advice of what might work best for our ceremony based on her past experience. Ryan did a wonderful job directing behind the scenes and being there during the reception whenever we needed her. We would highly recommend Ryan and the Lawton Community Center. We had such and amazing time, and it was better than we could have ever imagined!

Our wedding turned out to be absolutely perfect for us and it was LARGELY because of the crew (especially Ryan, the director/coordinator) at LCC. They were an absolute pleasure to work with. My wedding party is full of a bunch of jokesters that really didn't take anything to do with the serious part of the wedding serious and Ryan was there every step of the way keeping them on track so I didn't have to. I LOVED having my wedding at the LCC and only wish I could experience the day one more time.

I couldn't have been happier with how everything for my wedding turned out!!! It was absolutely fabulous!!! Ryan was extremely helpful and made sure everything went according to plan!!! I can't thank you enough Ryan for everything!! We are still getting compliments about how great everything was!! So many guests said it was the BEST wedding they have ever been to!! Ryan really knows what she is doing!! I trusted her with everything, if I had a question, she always responded to my emails right away! Beautiful venue, amazing ceremony location, food was incredible!!! I loved how we had the ceremony and reception all in one place! It was so convenient, especially for our out of town guests who aren't familiar with the area. The price was right too!!! Completely affordable, especially with all that comes with it!!! No need to worry about setting up and cleaning up, and they already work with a catering service so no need to find that either!!! If I had to go back and do it over again, I would book with Lawton Community Center without a doubt!!! It it totally worth the wait since they book fast!!!

Ryan you made our wedding day turn out perfectly! You, and your crew were fantastic and made our special day so much easier. The Lawton Community Center itself is gorgeous, and everything that was provided to us made everything somehow look even more beautiful. Lawton Community Center was the perfect setting for my daughter's wedding. It is absolutely beautiful inside and outside. Everything went smoothly and having Ryan to coordinate was a huge bonus! Our guests said they had a wonderful time and also loved the food.

The venue was beyond amazing! My guests, the day of and weeks later, told me how awesome of a place it is. Ryan makes you feel like you are the only wedding she is working on. Quick, complete answers, when ever you ask them. It was truly an amazing service and reception. The auditorium was absolutely beautiful and it showed in my pictures, the museum keeps guest happily busy while the bridal party takes pictures. And the reception hall is big enough so there is plenty of room to dance but always feels cozy. I loved having my wedding and reception here, and would 100% recommend the Lawton Community Center and Mrs. Ryan Caldwell !! Amazing experience!

Our daughter and son-in-law chose to have their wedding and reception at Lawton Community Center and we were so excited that they chose this beautiful venue for this momentous occasion! We have been at many events here and the facility is perfect even without additional decorating. What we didn't realize was how much help we would receive from Ryan Caldwell throughout the whole process! She was very helpful and responsive to any questions that we had and went above and beyond our expectations at the rehearsal, wedding and reception. Thank you, Ryan, for a memorable event :)

The venue is ideal for any occasion, black tie or rustic and anything in between. Ryan is just awesome to work with and you can depend on her and her staff for anything. We even found out she can and will officiate (almost diverted a potential catastrophe)! As the mother of the groom this time, and was fortunate to be very much included and involved in the planning and décor, I don’t think any other venue would have been so easy to make this event go off without a hitch and allow you to make it your own signature event . And his is the SECOND wedding I was involved with as we had our daughter and son in laws reception here in 2008. It was perfect for both. They had very different decors for their receptions, and this one including the ceremony on site. They just have so much to offer and at very reasonable pricing. It is just all inclusive and is boasted by all who have the pleasure of attending an event here.

We were so impressed with the Lawton Community Center as the venue for our Daughter's (and new Son in law's) wedding reception. The best location for any event, perfect atmosphere, and impeccable service under the direction of Ryan Caldwell, allowed for an extra special evening, which we parents could enjoy. I didn't have to worry about the on site logistics or details because she coordinated the activity of our service providers - who were also excellent. I recommend LCC, Premier Catering, Wiser Productions, Deming Photography, Ream Enterprises, and Christina's Cakery! Thank you for helping us create a memorable event!

I absolutely loved working with Ryan! Our wedding was PERFECT! I would recommend renting all three rooms for a wedding. Each room is amazing and have its own unique look. Our guests were in "ahhh" with how everything looked and how beautiful the atmosphere truly was in the community center. I would give it 10 stars!!
