The first time I shed tears (happy ones, of course!) on my wedding day, they were courtesy of Lavender & Locks, and Diane. I love everything about lavender—the name, the color, the scent…everything! Naturally, L&L became my first choice for our florist as a result! However, after my initial meeting with Diane, I can tell you that they could have been named ANYTHING, and I would have still hired her! I felt truly listened to, and like Diane completely understood my vision for our wedding flowers. I know I keep saying it in every review, but like the rest of our vendors, she felt more like a family friend than a hired vendor for the day. In fact, dealing with flower stuff became one of my favorite parts of wedding planning, since Diane made it so easy (and dare I say, fun)! It was always like a nice little break for me, in the midst of the chaos. During our initial meeting, I expressed how much I love lavender… and maybe she does it for every bride, but the morning the flowers arrived, Diane had included a sachet of lavender for me. When I tell you started BAWLING~! The small gesture made me feel like she saw me as an actual person, and not just a customer. Not only that, but the flowers were absolutely GORGEOUS! I caught my bridesmaids sooo many times throughout the day just smelling or admiring their bouquets! Diane completely nailed the flowers, and they were even better than anything I could have envisioned. Even after the wedding, Diane continued to walk my Mom (who was driving 16+ hours back home to Kansas with our bouquets) through how to properly care for our bouquets and get them back home with minimal damage done to the blooms, so that I could preserve as much as possible! Diane and Lavender & Locks were absolutely wonderful to work with, and I would do it again in a heartbeat! Thank you so much, Diane—I’m glad my first wedding tears were from you! :) -

I highly recommend Lavender & Locks!
They are so easy to work with and listened to all my ideas. I am not a bride, however I have contacted this company to do floral designs for multiple events.
Diane is down to earth and easy to work with. She cares deeply about the vision of her clients and has a keen sense of how to bring flowery dreams to life. Katie is a joy to be around and has amazing design skills. They are absolutely beautiful to do business with.
The fact that they source a majority of their florals from their own farm is also a huge plus in my opinion. Their designs are stunning and the quality of the blooms is apparent.
I let them take complete creative control once I shared my thoughts, and I was SO pleased!
Run to the phone and book them now, before their calendar is full! -

Diane knew how important the flowers were to me on my wedding day putting a lot of pressure on her! However, that did not stand in the way of of her talent. Every small detail was taken into account in all of the elements she created. Our day was full of color with a moody vibe, something a bit out of the ordinary, and Diane still had lots of ideas and types of flowers she thought would flow well with the day! I received more complements, from people who attended our wedding, on the flowers than anything else that day which is exactly what I was looking for. Diane was so easy to work with, flexible and truly knew what she was talking about! If you are in the process of looking for a florist, for any of your needs, she’s the perfect one for you! -

Just stunning!
Due to COVID-19, I wasn't able to have my originally planned wedding. We still decided to get married on our original date with a tiny backyard ceremony at our new home near Hummelstown. I wanted to support a small business florist local to this area. I reached out to Diane just a couple of weeks prior to our date and explained our situation. She was a true joy to work with and made a difficult time a lot less stressful. I sent her a few ideas and shared my vision and SHE. NAILED. IT! I love knowing that my flowers were locally sourced and designed by such a lovely, talented, creative individual. I would recommend Lavender and Locks to any bride, but especially to those who want to take the stress out of planning and trust the professional to do an outstanding job! -

Stunning work with flowers
Diane and her flowers are both gorgeous and unforgettable! Years from now I'll look back at pictures and say, "Those flowers! They were stunning!" and my family will be nodding in absolute agreement.
We planned our wedding remotely, so Diane worked with us via emails and phone calls. Every time, I hung up smiling! To start, I put together pictures, and Diane was able to give me feedback for what would be in season, locally grown, and pricing. Even throughout the planning process, I shared some frustrations about finding rentals and learned that she has additional decor items available to borrow. Just ask and Diane will help. She will work her magic! Can't wait for another opportunity to work with Lavender & Locks! -

Autumn dried bouquet
When it was time to plan for my wedding flowers- I didn’t have any preconceived ideas of what I wanted. Only that I wanted something that would last more than a few days and has an autumn feel to them. I wanted to work with Lavender & Locks because our experience with Diane for my daughters wedding was amazing. Given the vague request- Diane showed her talent and artistry with the most beautiful arrangement I have ever seen, and since it is dried- I’ll be able to enjoy it for a long time to come. I highly recommend Lavender & Locks! -

My daughter knew she wanted a prom bouquet from Lavender and Locks and she was beyond excited when it arrived! Diane and her team did a phenomenal job creating what she wanted with their own special touches. Diane was extremely knowledgeable about the possibilities of flowers and greenery that could be used. She was easy-going, punctual, and professionally pleasant to work with. She has a true gift and I would recommend her over and over again to anyone searching for a floral designer. -

Perfect Flowers
Absolutely amazing and beautiful! The flowers smelled and looked amazing. Diane answered all of my questions throughout the process. I would recommend her to ANYONE! I ordered the market bouquets and some loose flowers in the buckets. I loved purchasing flowers from a local, sustainable vendor! She was so helpful and kind. My bouquet was just a dream! I want to preserve it forever. -

Diane was such a joy to work with. Her love for her craft was evident through all of our interactions and came to life in her final creations. When we were searching for a floral vendor, having locally grown flowers was important because we wanted fresh, seasonal, and locally sourced flowers. Diane took a few conversations of our vision and surpassed all expectations. She was very organized and communicative. From boutonnieres to table runners to my incredible bouquet, every detail was excellent. The value of Lavender and Locks was incredible. It was almost half the price of other florists we looked at and our flower arrangements were gorgeous. At the end of our day, she also organized recycling of our flowers to repurpose at local nursing homes and a cancer center to continue to spread joy and brighten the day of others. -

I stalled my flower search because I was too overwhelmed with the process. Everyone I inquired to just didnt fit what I wanted. Diane was wonderful from the start. I knew what I wanted and she delivered perfectly... better than my own visions, which makes sense because shes the expert. Shes affordable, straight to the point and delivers the best. -

I phone interviewed a couple of florists and after speaking with Diane I knew right away that she was the one for us! She took my vision and made it come alive. As soon as I saw the flowers that she had created I was in tears - overwhelmed with joy! She was so easy to work with and made planning the arrangements/bouquets fun and far from stressful. I sincerely appreciate all her help and expertise! -
Rachel Sent on 12/16/2017The search is over…. your decision is made. You need to choose Lavender and Locks as your florist for the most incredible day of your life. When I first started planning my wedding I didn’t think I wanted to go big on the flowers, maybe just grow some wildflowers and place them in the jars on the day of. I am so glad my mom talked me out of that and that the comradery of Penn Stater’s led me to Diane. When I think about my wedding I still can’t get over how amazing the flowers looked and how much care Diane put in. So many people commented on how beautiful and natural all of the centerpieces and extra floral touches looked with the setting of my wedding. Diane made my vison of “perfectly imperfect” and my dream to use old milk glasses from my family’s dairy a reality. My bouquet was everything I could have asked for and more, when Diane brought it to me I sobbed and I get tears in my eyes thinking about it now. Every part of it was perfect, including a special piece of lace looped for me to hold a tissue as I walked down the aisle. The attention to detail and creativity of Lavender and Locks is what sets them apart from other florists; I assure you that you will be as amazed as I was. I only found out after the wedding how above and beyond Diane went to bring my dream day to life. The amount of extra driving around, and last minute things she did to make sure it would be perfect is an example of what an amazing person Diane is and how dedicated she is to her brides. When I look back on that day, having Diane and Lavender and Locks a part of it is definitely the best thing I did—apart from marrying my husband of course ;) Please take my advice and give L&L a call!

Derek Sent on 12/13/2017Fantastic! Diane was the easiest vendor we worked with on our wedding day. After a quick phone call, she had our "vision" and I fully trusted her with making it a reality. She delivered! On the big day, as we were doing our rounds during the reception, everyone commented on the beauty and quality of our flowers. Diane and her team had been there that morning to set-up our ceremony flowers, ensure that the party had their flowers, and even set-up the reception flowers. Also, she came the night before to display our rehearsal dinner flowers. Lastly, she took the time to contact our wedding coordinator herself - to get the last minutes details on timing and location. Thanks, Diane, for making our day special!
