Beyond Happy
I found Lauren through Instagram and couldn’t be more thrilled with how our ceremony went! She played a lot of songs that had cultural significance to us as a Pakistani Muslim couple, and the guests enjoyed the songs a lot as well. Thank you again, Lauren, for making our day so special! -

Beautiful Music!
Lauren played her large harp outdoors under a willow tree as all the guests were walking in and enjoying a glass of champagne. She then played throughout our ceremony as we walked down the aisle and exited into our cocktail hour. She is such an incredible musician, very professional and it was just a lovely way to start off our wedding with really pretty magical harp music playing. I am so happy she was able to play for our wedding and I cannot recommend her more highly. -

The perfect touch!
I couldn’t recommend Lauren more! She is super affordable and is an amazing musician! Everyone at our wedding loved that we had a harp for the ceremony! She worked with us to pick the songs and sent us samples to listen to. She even learned a whole new song just for us! She’s so talented! -

We unfortunately had to throw a last-minute wedding due to an illness in our family. She absolutely made our wedding so beautiful everyone kept talking about how amazing the music was. We got married in a beautiful rose garden and she really set the mood of elegance for our guests. She was very easy to communicate and work with even though our event was last minute. -

Lauren was an absolute dream to work with -- responsive, kind, and extremely talented. She was able to accommodate a song request for my processional that wasn't on her song list, which I greatly appreciated. Once I booked with Lauren, ceremony music was one of the few things I never had to stress over -- she was always so calm and helpful, which was remarkable considering I got married in the middle of COVID. I would work with her again in a heartbeat! -

Very Pleased with Lauren Sharkey Elegant Harp Music
We are so pleased with our choice of having Lauren Sharkey play her elegant harp at our wedding a few weeks ago. I appreciated Lauren’s prompt response to my inquiry. Lauren promptly set up a zoom conference and played several samples of music that could be used for prelude, processionals, and the wedding ceremony. Upon request, Lauren sent us several samples to listen to. We felt Lauren was professional, reasonably priced, and her harp playing made our ceremony feel special. We would highly recommend using Lauren Sharkey www.elegantharpmusic for your event. Our only regret was we didn’t hire a videographer so we could again experience Lauren Sharkey play the elegant harp music selections.

Wonderful harpist!
We had Lauren play at my Mother's Celebration of Life at Arden Hills Country Club. I really enjoyed working with her from the first phone call until she put her harp away after the celebration,. She is a beautiful woman who plays beautiful music. The music she chose was perfect and uplifting for our event. She was a wonderful addition to our celebration. -

I feel so lucky to have found Lauren to play the harp for my smaller wedding ceremony. She was poised and professional throughout the whole process. Lauren was absolutely wonderful! We found her at the Bridal Expo back in 2019 when we could all be in an open spaces close together ;) Lauren was always responsive, professional, and such a joy to work with. She also worked with our Cantor to provide music for our Jewish ceremony. We just watched the video of our one year anniversary a couple weeks ago, and Lauren's music sparked such warm memories of the day. Lauren is amazing
We had Lauren play as guests were arriving for our wedding, for our ceremony and cocktail hour. She is absolutely amazing. Song choices were perfect! The guests were so in love with her beautiful music....some even saying it was the best part of the wedding!! You won't be disappointed!! -

My husband and I had a small, intimate wedding this summer and we hired Lauren to play for our ceremony. I really wanted to personalize our ceremony music and surprise my husband with some of our favorite songs. Lauren took the time to learn them and even sent me audio clips so that I could hear what it would sound like beforehand. Having a live harpist at our ceremony was one of the best decisions we made. It completely set the mood and made it so much more special. She is extremely talented and skilled, and has so much background in harp (she has a master’s degree in it!). She is super professional and such a great person to work with. If you are considering a harpist for your event, Lauren is the best! I would highly recommend her. -

We hired Lauren as a harpist for our wedding ceremony, and absolutely loved working with her! She was incredibly helpful from start to finish, and we really appreciated being able to meet up with her and hear a selection of her work before deciding to hire her. Lauren was very flexible in terms of music choice, and accepts song requests that she is happy to learn in advance of your big day.

Lauren was an absolute joy to work with. She was incredibly responsive to our questions and flexible during our planning phase which took a tremendous amount of stress away from the live music portion of our wedding. Perfect touch to my special day
Lauren was amazing! I always had to dream to have a harp at my wedding, and I contacted her just two days before my big day and she was able to squeeze me in without hesitation. She was very professional and satisfied all of my requests! It was such a beautiful sound. She is a truly talented musician. She asked for details for style of the wedding and dressed appropriately. Not only did she sound amazing, but the harp itself was beautiful. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to add a touch of timeless class to their big day or event!

If you're looking to add some elegance to your wedding ceremony or reception in an affordable way, you need to check out Lauren!
Lauren played for our pre-ceremony, processional, and recessional at our wedding on December 8, 2018. For $350 for an outdoor wedding, it was one of our best investments make our ceremony feel classy and personalize the music choices. Our guests are STILL talking to us about how beautiful the music was :)
Lauren is not only an excellent harpist, she is responsive, has an ever-growing and wide repertoire of songs (from hymns to classical to pop, and even some geeky/more obscure pieces), and is just a lovely person to work with. She even learned a new piece for us so that we could walk as Mr. and Mrs. to our favorite Studio Ghibli movie theme.
I can't thank her enough for her services, and I hope more couples in the greater Sacramento region discover how wonderful she is! -
