LOOK NO FURTHER: Laurel Hall was one of six places we looked at in late fall 2020 for our June 2021 wedding. With only ONE Saturday date open, we didn’t hesitate to book. We set up a tour and fell in love with the character and charm. From the grand entrance lobby to the light and airy dining room. The wooden staircase captures all the elegance you’ll ever need. They had a stunningly beautiful bridal suite on the second floor and a fabulous library room for the groomsmen. The solarium was where we had our first dance. The outdoor space is so spacious and fit our 120 guests comfortably with room to spare.
Inga and Lindsay were so easy going and responsive via email. They answered all my questions even up until the day of the wedding. Laurel Hall was right in the middle on pricing for venues in Indy, which was so perfect for us. The day of the wedding we coordinated with the maintenance manager to make sure everything was in order. Everything went so smooth! We decided to do our ceremony outdoor as it was a beautiful summer night. (The backup option was the third floor chapel which is breathtaking.. would have been thrilled to have our ceremony up there).
The venue doesn’t even have to be decorated like a typical wedding, it decorates itself! We were so impressed start to finish with the entire process. I don’t think we have any thing at all negative to say about them. Hands down recommend your dream wedding at this hidden gem estate! -

The most STUNNING venue
Our wedding was nothing short of magical at Laurel hall. Everyone was great, the staff at Laurel hall were very helpful and accommodating. The venue was absolutely beautiful and I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect wedding. -

Laurel Hall was the most beautiful venue I could have chosen in Indianapolis. We had guests fly in from 16 different states for our wedding, and many out of towners said it was the most beautiful wedding they had ever seen! The Laurel Hall staff was a dream to work with, and I couldn't have asked for a better venue, day, or team to work with! -

We got married at Laurel Hall on 06/25/2021 and I can’t recommend it enough. Great location, beautiful inside & outside, and gorgeous architecture, plenty of parking, and plenty of beautiful views. It was my dream venue and I’m in love with it. The manager and all staff are amazing and were so helpful the entire way through. They also work with a lot of great vendors that they recommended to us. Due to the pandemic in 2020 we had to reschedule our wedding three times and the manager was very flexible and understanding of the situation and worked with us to make sure we made the right decision and we couldn't have been happier! -

I instantly fell in love with Laurel Hall when I saw pictures online—it’s more beautiful in person. I thought it was a little pricey, but it’s well worth it. There was plenty of space for my guests to spread out, especially during COVID. Inga helped me with planning and she was quick to respond to all my questions, and they were flexible with my guest count during COVID. Laurel Hall is timeless and elegant and beautiful enough inside that I didn’t supply very many of my own decor because it wasn’t necessary. I got married on a Sunday to keep the price down and it worked out perfectly—I got my $750 damage deposit back 2 weeks later. I’d get married here again if I could! -

Beautiful venue
Laurel Hall is a gem in the city of Indianapolis. Inga, Lindsay, and Phil were all very kind and personable and they answered all of our questions beforehand. They had layouts and dimensions that helped us organize decor as well. On the day of the event, Phil was there the entire time to assist us with anything we needed. Now the venue...simply breathtaking, especially in the fall. We loved decorating all the fireplace mantels and the arch in the chapel...perfect for our flowers and tulle. Loved how we could keep the guests flowing from the chapel, outside for appetizers, into the conference room for dinner, dining room for desserts and drinks and solarium for dancing. It was perfection! -

A wedding venue dream come true!
Laurel Hall is THE hidden gem of Indianapolis for wedding venues - our wedding day was truly magical thanks to the charm Laurel Hall brings! If your dream is to get married in the most gorgeous mansion in Indy this is the place for you!
As an icing on the cake, Inga and her team are incredible to work with! We had to move our wedding date due to the pandemic this spring and they worked with us and our caterer to find a new date that worked for everyone! I can't thank them enough for their kindness and flexibility during thes crazy times. -

Perfection!
Not only is Laurel Hall beautiful, Lindsey and Inga were amazing to work with. The entire staff helped us made our dream day possible. When we had to change our day and plans with Covid-19 they were being accommodating. They went above and beyond! -

Laurel Hall was a beautiful setting for our cozy, intimate winter wedding. The pictures were amazing! The price was fair for a 4 hour room rental with a bridal suite! This is not an all-inclusive venue, so if you plan to have your entire wedding and reception here - you need to bring in caterers and additional help prepping and planning the space for you. But for our wedding of about 20 people, I was able to get the space ready myself rather quickly, and go to dinner elsewhere. Everyone asked where I got married at because the pictures were phenomenal.. in fact, I would love to start my own business planning and designing small weddings and elopements - and would absolutely recommend this space as often as I am able. -

My daughter's day could have not been more perfect, and Laurel Hall was a huge part of it. The bride's dressing area was very comfortable for the wedding party and attendant hair and makeup crew.
From the grand entry and stunning staircase to the dining room,solarium and terrace, there is just no more beautiful setting. From our first visit, it was love at first sight. For brides who are wanting a single venue for ceremony and celebration, I will add that the chapel is gorgeous. My daughter chose not to use it because it requires climbing stairs that our more senior family members would have been challenged by.
Inga and staff are outstanding.
Be prepared to let guests know the gate access code. The property is private. We could have handled that better, but what a fabulous, ethereal, BEAUTIFUL property. -

Laurel Hall was the PERFECT venue. They were amazing to work with, Inga was always responsive and helpful. The venue is STUNNING and I will always look back on this day with so much love. Laurel Hall is classic, elegant, and timeless. Everyone that was in attendance raved about how beautiful it was. -

This is the most beautiful venue I have seen. I have spent a year looking everywhere around Indianapolis and this is by far the most amazing and special place I have found. The woman who gave us a tour was very nice and could answer every question. It is a more expensive venue but they have a caterer whose prices more than make up for the difference in venue price. We all got chills when we walked in and saw the beautiful woodwork and vintage decor. We have not had our wedding yet but we have already booked and paid our deposit. They have been very responsive and wonderful throughout the process. Highly, highly recommended! -

Inga was so great to work with and accommodated us very well, even with a small intimate wedding and spots of rain day of. The vendor suggestions from Laurel were also fantastic. We couldn't have asked for a better caterer and liked the fact that Inga's recommendations had worked at the estate several times in the past. I can't thank Laurel Hall enough for our most perfect day. I can't wait to have the opportunity to attend a wedding here in the future!

It's been almost two months since our wedding and our family and friends are still raving about how perfect it was. When you drive up the long, curving, emerald driveway you're swept away to another world. The regal building has a stunning backdrop at every turn, and also facilitates a wonderful reception that allows people to dance, mingle, or relax in the various rooms. I still cannot get over the lush, enchanting feel of the grounds. It really felt like I was in a dream. Inga is a wonderful coordinator who is more than willing to help you. The opportunity to pick from a list of caterers also helps the bride and groom drive the cost and feel of the event. I really cannot recommend this venue enough. It was utter perfection. Pro Tip: consider having your ceremony on the terrace. We ended up doing that due to torrential downpours hours before the wedding and it really was the best of both worlds--the gorgeous intricate architecture of the hall nestled in the wild, green garden. Love!!

All of our guests were blown away by the beauty and surprised to find this hidden castle in the middle of Indianapolis! Inga was so extremely helpful and answered all of my questions, which were endless! The entire staff was kind, patient and extremely helpful! I would recommend this venue to ANYONE for ANY special event! The possibilities are endless! We can't wait to see our professional wedding photographs and this location was a photographers dream! Thank you Laurel Hall and staff for making our big day magical and better than we dreamed!!!

Our wedding at Laurel Hall was a dream! The venue is so gorgeous and unique. It offers such a wide variety of spaces to customize your wedding day, not to mention plenty of weather contingency options! The bridal suite was perfect for getting ready, and the opportunity for beautiful photos are endless. Inga was so wonderful to work with and always promptly answered any questions we had. Elegance around Every Corner
The staff was amazing at answering any questions in a prompt manner. The building is gorgeous and perfect for an intimate wedding. We received many complements on our choice of this venue. If you don't want many decorations, here you don't need them! The detail of the venue is like no other. I would highly recommend Laurel Hall for a wedding or any event. -

What can I say about Laurel Hall that hasn't already been said? We were looking for a venue that would be worth bringing people in for from around the country in mid-February (we have scattered family and friends) and it was absolutely worth it to bring our guests to Laurel Hall. It's a BEAUTIFUL venue and the staff is very kind and helpful. Couldn't have picked a better spot. -

We held our wedding and reception at Laurel Hall on November 16, 2019. With 80 guests we were probably one of the smaller events held there. The grand staircase and woodworking throughout is warm and inviting. The stained glass windows and chapel ceiling are beautiful in pictures. There is ample space for a reception on the main floor. We held dancing in the solarium and dinner in the conference room with food and bar in the dining room. Spaces seemed appropriate for different activities. As the night unfolded, and with a split crowd, not all dancers, we spent most of our time traversing between the spaces to see guests. There is a chance of pocketed crowds in separate areas with that much space.
This venue and staff made sure we had a great setting for fairytale memories. -

Laurel Hall was such a beautiful venue! My husband and I were searching for a wedding venue with some old charm that we'd really love. When we found Laurel Hall, we knew it would be the perfect venue for us! We had a fairy tale themed wedding, and we had so many people tell us how it sort of reminded them of a castle. Keep in mind that you really are on your own during set up, so make sure to bring everything you need in case you can't find anyone there to help you locate certain things. Other than that, everything was perfect! Laurel Hall truly is a hidden gem! -

Laurel Hall
Laurel Hall is truly a unique gem in Indianapolis! Having the opportunity to feel as though we were holding a wedding and reception in our own (for the day) beautiful manor home was so special! On October 10th of 2021, we were extra fortunate to have Mother Nature on our side, allowing the ceremony, the dinner service and cake display/cutting, and the dancing, all to occur on the terrace. I definitely recommend hiring an outside vendor to install string lighting on the entire terrace—it provided a beautiful canopy. Also once darkness falls the extra light is a necessary and beautiful bonus.
Pros:
~gorgeous manor home, beautiful setting
~gold finish chairs and 5’ round tables, along with 3’x6’ tables are yours to use. (Chairs are required to have added rented cushions.)
~chapel has pre set chairs and is beautiful.
Cons:
~logistics are tricky as it is a home with unique limitations, as opposed to a catering facility
~kitchen is not large and has no oven. Our caterers brought mobile kitchen trucks.
~white folding chairs are available to use for an outdoor ceremony, but are not the cleanest, due to where they are stored. Chairs are different shades/finishes, ie, very inconsistent. At $3 per chair for rental from LH, we opted to rent our own clean/matching ceremony chairs from an outside vendor to avoid the issues described above. Another option would have been to rent chair covers.
~if planning an outdoor event as plan A, it is also necessary to have a very detailed indoor plan B. And be ready to adjust everything accordingly. We found the grass in all lawn areas to be soggy, after days of rain, so we quickly walked around w/ our astute set-up vendors to create a better ceremony space.
~would not hold an wedding event at Laurel Hall without hiring at least a day-of coordinator from the list of LH vendors. Our coordinator was SO integral in helping with all aspects to create a seamless event. We hired our coordinator for the weekend, which helped with the rehearsal. (rehearsal cannot be held at LH if another event is scheduled on day before your wedding—be aware.) We rehearsed in a hotel ballroom.
~gate code & parking: people toss their invitations away and forget to or don’t know how to access into on wedding websites. You will likely have a line at the gate. Parking is limited. We hired sprinter vans to transport from and back to hotel. Local guests had enough parking. We placed temporary wedding directional signs inside the gate and also at top of hill into parking area.

Laurel hall is definitely a beautiful venue and was an extremely memorable reception location. I can't tell you how many times our guests told us how incredibly gorgeous the location was and our pictures came out so wonderful! Even with the uncertainty of COVID, Inga and her team were great with getting back to us and moving our plans around. The only thing I would urge summer brides to keep in mind is that the building is older and was not built to be air conditioned. Although you could tell the system was trying to keep up, it was very hot inside when everyone started dancing. That being said, I wouldn't have changed the location for the world and feel very blessed things were able to work out how they did! -

Liz and Inga were incredibly sweet and I enjoyed working with them as my husband and I planned a personal celebration at which we could host our closest friends and family!

As someone who works in the wedding industry, I knew immediately that I wanted Laurel Hall to be the venue for our wedding day. With its inherent charm and manor-home feel, it was the ideal place for a bride who wanted her day to feel like an upscale dinner party. Each and every guest was as in love with space by the end of the night. I'd recommend Laurel to every single bride looking to get married in Indianapolis. -

Laurel hall is a beautiful venue.
Positives: price is great and the coordinator is also easy to work with
Negatives:
- they provide you with nothing. You NEED a day of coordinator (wedding planner) at minimum to really make this day stress free
- they started cleaning up my venue early, I had the venue until 11, at 10pm they started mopping
