We loved working with James! He was so professional, super friendly, and helped us relax and have fun while taking our photos! He was personable and super flexible, and it was so easy to work with him. We loved our engagement photos and are super excited to see the photos from our wedding!! -

I found James Lathrop on WeddingWire back in 2021 for a 2023 wedding. Something told me inside to pick him and my gut did not make a wrong choice. During wedding planning, he was responsive and he has gotten more clients since when I got him. Here comes the wedding day, he was all over the venue taking photos. I gave him a list of photos of what to take. During formal photos, he is not the stand-up straight and be stiff photographer. He captures the pure emotion from my girls being emotional to my father crying as he saw me. Each time I look back at the amazing wedding photos, it is as if the day is still here. My husband and I are still getting comments about how wonderful James is! If you pick James, you will not regret your choice at all. It is hard just to choose a few photos for this review! -

James is the best!
We're the most awkward people and never take pictures and so looking for a photographer was a rough time. We loved the editing style James has and when we met him we were immediately comfortable and that made for great pictures. He was chill with our timeline on our wedding day even though I was an absolute mess and managed to capture moments I didn't even see the day of and now they're my favorite. We got our wedding pictures back in a month and I love every single one, everyone keeps complimenting us on them. 10/10 recommend!! -

I can't say enough good things about James! He was easy to work with, kind, and took all of our requests to heart. He and his partner, Matt, did a fabulous job before, during, and after our wedding (at the reception). Turn around time for our photos and video was short and his editing skills are top par. We loved looking through all the photos and the wedding compilation video was AMAZING! We have had so many positive comments about the work they did. I would HIGHLY recommend James for your wedding photographer/videographer. -

Excellent photos & Great prices!
James was the absolute best! When we got our wedding photos back I was in love! He does great, high quality work for a great price. He's also fantastic to work with! He replied to emails professionally and promptly. He was great to work with on the day as well and he was always there when we would see a photo opportunity we wanted for that day! We aren't people who often take photos, so he did a great job at instructing us on what to do and not making it feel like we were taking hours worth of pictures - he had us laughing the whole time! James has such a fun and easy going personality that fit in so well on the day of our wedding with not only us, but in communicating with all the other vendors throughout the day. 10/10 would highly recommend James Lathrop Photography! -

He is the best photographer! And he’s really nice and the price that he charge is very reasonable, if your looking for a photographer on your wedding or any occasion call James he is the man for the job! Highly recommended -

Professional, Timely, and Great Pictures
My husband and I were on a budget and I was worried I would have to sacrifice the quality of the pictures to stay in our price range. I was gladly mistaken. The pictures were clear, beautiful, and captured the day perfectly. James was also a pleasure to work with! -

James has been the best photographer and resource when it comes to weddings and planning. He was very quick and responsive when I first inquired about his services and I knew this man was the one that I was going to choose. He was early to the event and got all of his equipment setup and the pictures turned out stunning. A very professional and kind experience with James Lathrop photography and have used him numerous times now! Highly recommend him for your future wedding and/or event! -
