    This year’s Thanksgiving dinner was a year in the making. Family members from all over the country were flying in to celebrate with us. As the event drew closer and more and more people confirmed attendance it became abundantly clear we would need a venue other than our home to accommodate the guest list of over 50 people! Lanier Tent Rental in Gainesville GA was the one stop shop we hoped it would be. Friendly sales people quickly helped us secure everything we needed from the tent and walls to tables, chairs, heater and even a huge standing ice chest! Just 2 weeks before the big day our list grew to almost 100 confirmed and all it took was a quick call to Lanier and they were able to upgrade us to a larger tent.They gave us an emergency number & on Thanksgiving day when I woke up panicked about the muddy ground that had not dried from the previous day’s rain, their on call customer service agent, Kelly Gillam,dove in head first & showed up that morning with a perfect solution & even stayed to help & oversee the installment!A 5 star experience we will definitely use them again!

    My wedding was on a Saturday and they brought it out on Wednesday and didn't pick it up til the next Monday and didn't charge any forthe extra days. There is a fee for delivery but that's not even bad. That gave us plenty of time to set up and tear down everything. Prices are reasonable and the rentals are in good shape. I reccomend!

    I rented a 20'x20' pole tent with 4 - 8' rectangle tables and 40 chairs for a very reasonable price. They showed up Friday morning and set the tent up. Everything was ready for the wedding Sat. And they picked it up Monday morning. Considering we're in GA and its HOT it was nice to have over the weekend. The delivery guys were fast and double counted our chairs! Everything was great.

    A pleasure to work with

    Susan, with Lanier Tent was a god send, she was all ways there to help with all my questions. The delivery crew was very polite and extremely knowledgeable and helpful.

    I ordered chairs for my outdoor ceremony and the price could not be beat! The customer service was excellent. The only negative experience: Thursday before my Saturday wedding they attempted delivery at my apartment, rather than the delivery location. That was frustrating, but was very quickly resolved and everything went well.

    The ladies at LTR were great, they helped me figure out how much space I needed. I got a 40x60 tent, tables, chairs, dance floor plus more. It was a great experience. Everything looked beautiful. Things were delivered and set up on time. They had everything I needed for our ceremony and reception.

    We used Lanier Tent Rentals for our backyard wedding set up. We had a tent, tables, chairs, and lights. There was some confusion as we got closer to our wedding day since we added things along the way. But, everything was resolved including a payment that they didn't have reflected on my invoice. Our rentals were scheduled to deliver on the Thursday prior to our wedding in the am. I am so thankful we chose this time. The tent set up was great. However, as the chairs started to be unloaded we noticed that 100 of the chairs were the wrong ones. We let the lead know and he called his boss. They got that squared away and said the correct chairs would be delivered later in the day. They continued unloading and found that only 5 of the 12 tables we rented were on the truck. They again had to call and request that the other 7 tables be brought the with 100 chairs. Everything worked out and we are satisfied. I am just glad we had it all delivered on Thursday instead of Friday as I would have been stressing the day before waiting on items.

    I got the less than perfect chairs (cost less) and for my event they were ok, but when looking at them they were more banged up than I expected ( I did get black because they matched some other chairs). I paid for set up of tables and chairs, but with threat of rain I didn't have them set up so consider this before you decide on that.

    We used Lanier Tent Rental for our wedding reception and have mixed feelings. While we were planning our wedding, the staff was very responsive and helpful. Their chairs, silverware, décor, and linens are priced fairly, and everyone we spoke to was extremely nice. However, the weekend of our wedding, the chairs, silverware, and drape panels arrived several hours late. When we called they were hard to get in touch with and could not give us an ETA. Lanier Tent Rental agreed to pick up their equipment the following Monday, but they did not arrive until Wednesday causing us to lose a $200 security deposit we had placed on our venue. While they were great beforehand, we had several problems with them the weekend of our wedding which created lots of stress and pushed us behind schedule. For that reason, we would advise anyone looking for a rental company to consider other choices.

    Despite reading a few pretty harsh reviews we decided to go with Lanier Tent Rental as our furniture rental company for our wedding on June 8th. Lets start with the pros.

    Pros:

    When we originally decided on them we met with the manager at their warehouse and show room and they were very helpful and friendly. The prices seemed reasonable and they have a pretty extensive inventory. Also throughout the planning of our wedding we found that our needs changed and we were able to change the size and content of our order and were able to get a pretty quick turn around on quotes. The linens and runner we ordered were clean when they arrived. Despite a change in ownership the management team was helpful in a pinch and did their best to solve the many issues that I will be listing in the Cons section below. And one final pro the delivery on that Friday did come within the time frame we had requested.

    Cons:

    During the last week before our wedding we received a call from someone at their office. Confirming an order that was completely wrong and for the wrong date and time. This was rectified later with a call to management but gave us unneeded stress. The morning before our wedding, the delivery team arrived on time, however as soon as they opened the back of their truck the unsecured Helium tank fell valve side down onto the ground damaging it (as we would come to find later). When none of our helium balloons floated.

    This proved to be a bad omen when it came to dealing with these two delivery men. We found out soon after, that for some reason they had brought two separate orders to be dropped off at our location, and one to be delivered somewhere else. Unfortunately our order was buried near the front of the truck and the two other orders, were stacked in front of our order. We looked at the manifest for the drop off and informed them that one of their other orders was not to be dropped at our site. They insisted it was and begun unloading it despite our protests. We then called the manager and he luckily set them straight. Much to their obvious displeasure. So they unloaded the other orders in the rain and pulled out ours finally.

    As we read in some of the reviews the table and chairs were all pretty beat up. But other than that and the helium tank that didn’t really work, we got everything that we ordered. However, on the day of our wedding we came to find that the table cloths for the high tops that we ordered were the wrong size, though we had been assured otherwise. This lead to us wasting money on greenery that we were not able to use to tie the table cloths on our high tops.

    Yet another issue we ran into was in the pickup. We had paid an additional 200 dollars for a Sunday Morning Pick up. We were supposed to be out of our venue by 11 so we had requested that we have a pickup beforehand so as not to anger our venue. We waited until noon no truck. We called their office, both main and emergency line, no answer. The head of guest services for the venue left several voicemails to find out where they were. I left an angry voicemail with my number and have still not heard back from them. That was on the 9th of June. We later discovered via guest services the truck did not arrive until after 2pm. So much for Sunday Morning pick up.

    I would not recommend using Lanier Tent Rental for your events.

    Terrible experience

    This company is awful! This is the third tent I have rented from this company in 2 years. The quality was not good the paint was chipping off the poles and wood holding the tent up. I told the young man where I wanted the tent and he did not listen. They put the tent in the ground in the wrong place. I made them move the stakes and the guys were very ugly to me about it! I talked to the office. They didn’t really care either. I told her this was the last tent rental from me. I would not recommend this company.

    I was extremely unhappy with the service I received from this company. I was basically called a liar from the manager Jeff and their Owner Jerry Couch. When we first went into there office and told them what we wanted they were more than happy to show us all the nice display items they had and give us a great quote. As the months went on it turned from one problem into another. First off we told them we were being married at 5:00PM and that our reception would be at night. They said not to worry as our tent came with perimeter lighting. When I emailed back to confirm about the kind of lighting they told me that lighting only comes with packages for pole tents and that we had ordered a frame tent that didn't come with lighting. So they wanted an additional $200 for the lighting even though they told us to begin with that it had it. The Thursday before the wedding the show up to set the tent up and first off it was not the frame tent they showed us in the display room as it was old and extremely dirty. Next the tent had no sidewalls as I was told it would have so we could set up everything up and close it off. I asked the people setting it up and they said it didn't come with them so I called the office. The manager Jeff said that tents don't come with side walls and that I would have to pay something like $30 a panel would would have been like $300 to enclose the tent. I then told him I had emailed and asked about it having them specifically and he told me that I did no such thing. I went through the email chain and found where I had asked and sent it to him and called me a liar basically and that I had just typed that email up even though it just was the entire email chain back and forth with him. I then asked for the owner's name and number and he gave it to me. I called Jerry Couch only to be given the same absurd treatment I had received from Jeff. Basically this company promises you one thing verbally and then gets out of it by vague invoices.

    RENTER BEWARE!!! This place is the worst. My daughter just got married and rented this crap without seeing it. The "white" chairs were ivory at best because of all the stains. The tables looked like they were rotting but at least we could cover this up with table cloths. Some of the chairs had some orange sticky stuff on them, indicating that they were not cleaned after the rental before hers. My other daughter is getting married next year we will cut up trees and use stump seats before we would rent from these losers again. DO NOT RENT FROM PICTURES ON THEIR WEBSITE....REQUEST TO SEE THE INVENTORY!!

    I paid over $144 for tables and chairs for my wedding reception and they were awful! I could have gone somewhere else and paid that much to get better tables and chairs! I will not be going back there! Very awful and never returned my calls.
