We booked them for 4 hours for our wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner. Their communication leading up to the wedding was great and I had no concerns going into the wedding. We chose specific music for the ceremony, the general category of modern music covers for the cocktail hour, and the general category of classical music for dinner. They absolutely exceeded our expectations. Our guests could not stop raving about how wonderful they were, and they especially loved the modern music covers. If you want something unique, I highly recommend the modern music covers. Multiple guests took videos of the group playing and days after the wedding we are still hearing about how everyone loved this quartet. Everyone thought the quartet was well worth the money and personally I thought they were very affordable for professional musicians. Having Landolfi Quartet was one of my favorite parts of our wedding and I would recommend them without reservations to any future bride.Landolfi String Quartet and Ensemble's reply:

Landolfi String Quartet was perfect for our wedding ceremony on 4/9. They were so accommodating and flexible to work with after our wedding celebration had to get postponed from last year. So many of our guests came up to tell us how much they loved the music. Patrick and I highly recommend hiring them for your special day or special event. Absolutely perfect!
Landolfi made our night perfect. I supplied a list of songs to them and they blended everything together seamlessly. Even during the pandemic and a lot of uncertainness, I was able to keep in contact with Deberah at every step of the way and she always got back to me very quickly. Choose Landolfi!
We used Landolfi for our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour back in November. They were very flexible and easy to work with. We were worried it was going to be too cold for them to play our outdoor ceremony but they made it work and it was magical! We got many compliments from our guests how classy having Landolfi was! It was extremely easy to hire Landolfi and the quartet sounded beautiful. This is a great value; I think their price is more than reasonable for a group of 4 professional musicians! They were very flexible and quick to respond to emails (my one wish is that they would have provided a phone number for quick chats). All I had to do was provide them with a few songs that I wanted to have played, and they took care of everything else! I am thrilled that my wife and I chose Landolfi String Quartet to play for our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. Deberah Haferkamp and her team were wonderful and easy to work with. A perk of working with them is that they have all their songs listed on their website, which simplifies the selection process. If you want a song that is not on their list, they will happily learn it for a small arrangement fee.
Landolfi String Quartet exceeded my expectations—their sound was absolutely beautiful. I myself am a musician, having played flute at numerous weddings over the years, so my bar was high. I had not heard Landolfi play nor met them prior to my wedding day, but they were true professionals. They followed my instructions precisely—arriving when they said they would and sticking to the schedule and lineup I provided them.
I wish that I had been able to greet them and spent more time enjoying their music, but I was running around greeting guests and taking photos. One thing I do remember is that every time I looked over at them during my wedding ceremony, the conductor had a big smile on his face, which made me smile. They were a wonderful group and I wholeheartedly recommend them.Landolfi String Quartet and Ensemble's reply:

Steve Sent on 12/30/2017We hired Landolfi String Quartet to play for our wedding at Graham Chapel and then for cocktails at the Moolah Ballroom. Such professionals! They were so easy to work with, and have a huge collection of music to choose from. Everything from classical to jazz and pop. They were also able to arrange a couple songs for our ceremony that weren't already in their collection. We agree with our guests who all said the group did an amazing job and added a touch of class to our event!

We had Catholic church wedding, and the Landolfi were very familiar with the ceremony transitions and music. The whole ceremony was so memorable, and the Landolfi Trio really tied it together. I wish we had someone videotaping it, because I would have loved to hear the music again! They did not have any troubles with our music selection, especially when we requested the Game of Thrones theme song as our exit song. :) -

They answered the many questions that we had and offered guidance where we needed some assistance. They offer competitive pricing and have the largest library of songs for a quartet that I was able to find online. In addition to the obvious classical options, they have a full variety of contemporary music that they add to on a continual basis.
We are very excited for our big day and are confident that it will go smoothly and be a beautiful day. We are confident that they will provide an intimate element to our special day and give our guests a lovely musical performance. They will be performing at our ceremony, and also 4 hour reception. -

Landolfi played at my daughter's wedding last weekend,and it was perfect! She got married in a Catholic church, and I wasn't sure how they would adapt the music to play the responses and other sung parts of the mass, but they are professionals and knew what they were doing. They did a fantastic job and I got several comments from people at the wedding that the music was beautiful. -

The Landolfi Quartet truly elevated our Catholic wedding with their beautiful, elegant performance. I gave them a TikTok of a Taylor Swift arrangement for my bridal entrance - and they NAILED IT! Although I had to pay $50 per custom arrangement, I am so glad I did. The timing and the speed were exactly what I wanted. They were punctual, well dressed, and very talented. Randy Sent on 09/25/2024Deborah is pretty delusional about performance standards. But she is very responsive
If you are not a musician yourself you will probably not notice any problems with their performance. However, if you have an ear for sound or practiced yourself music in any discipline youll want to rethink your choice.
For my wedding i arranged 2 pieces to be played for thr processional. The pieces from their list of repertoire were not played to the level i saw online in videos. As a musician Myself based on what I saw, and their reviews i trusted them with arrangements done by yours truly. I checked in with them about the timining, the playability of the music but it was all told we were golden.
I did tell them to play the pieces in their entirety however during the ceremony it was so out of tune, not in time and underrehearsed i told thr officiant to tell them to stop. Because of my directions they didnt, but we wished they had.
You see, i come from a family of musicians many of which trained professionally (i actually was in music school at the same time in the same program as the cellist, the only one who seemed to be solid in his preperation)
Maybe my family is rude but all i heard about that night and the next day was how underrehearsed and how unprofessional the quartet sounded especially during the parts that mattered the most.
I actually wasnt going to write a review, but deborah invited me to so i am. When I brought up my dissappointment and the feedback i had, namely "if [the music i arranged] couldnt be played well you should have let us know so we could chose better rehearsed music" i got the following response. One musician didnt skip the vamp so it wasnt together althought it waa written in the music. They didnt follow the dynamic markings and i believe repeated a section of the first song.
I will update my review once i get the video with the sheet music to show they all had equal access to notes. I think they sightread the music (some of them for only the 2nd or 3rd time) at the ceremony.

I'm sorry you had that reaction. Luckily I was there and it was fine.We did skip the vamp. I'm not sure what you are talking about.There is no such thing as perfect intonation. However we were playing in tune and we payed attention to pacing.
We did have time to practice the music you arranged. We liked it. You told us to play to the end of your processional but someone was signaling for us to stop....but we didn't because you had wanted all of it. Feel free to give us a bad review. We need a few to balance out all the great reviews we get. I am sorry that you weren't happy. It was a beautiful wedding and I stick by my assertion that we did fine and were a positive part of you wedding. The travel of 2 hours made us a little tired and possibly not as focused as we would have been but overall I felt good about the entire event.
Thanks for noticing that Max was amazing. He was solid and I always appreciate his contribution.

All in all. If you want them to play for you especially something not on your list DO NOT pay them until they give you a rehearsal recording. I was pretty mortified. Also if they admitted that the drive made them tired they shouldnt have accepted the gig or offer a partial redund since they mentioned it could have been a factor, i paid a 600 travel fee!
We paid 1200 for their services and we were frankly embarassed. It was our big splurge and we wished we could have put the money towards almost anything else. She invited me to review instead of handling the matter privately so I have.
She was prompt in all her responses, but her invitation to review was bold so we took her inviation. RUN! -
