My husband and I were extremely pleased with the results of our wedding pictures taken by Lance Oliver. Mr. Oliver was very professional and went to great lengths to satisfy all of our photography requests on our "big day!" Mr. Oliver completely surrendered himself to us on our wedding day and exceeded our expectations by far. Not only did he suggest great photo ops, but he also managed to capture all of the fine details and special moments. We would gladly recommend him to others and will certainly use him again in the future. I heard about Lance through a friend and saw her amazing pictures so I was excited when he was able to squeeze my small ceremony in at the last minute. It’s important at every wedding to photograph the preparation pictures to the ceremony to the formal portraits to the detail shots. We strive to capture everything that is presented and shoot in different styles of photography from photojournalistic to traditional to modern. If there is not much going on during the reception, then it’s best to photograph other aspects of the wedding day that are important such as candids of people and all the detail shots. Lance Oliver did a great job photographing my daughter's wedding in Mexico Beach this weekend. He took pictures of everything we asked him to and he shot the entire time. Our wedding prices are geared toward clients who are on a budget and don’t have a $1000 to spend. We produced beautiful wedding pictures at a great price and provide these pictures in high resolution on a disc with a print release.
Our wedding videography is edited down into a movie format that is enjoyable to watch. If changes to the edited version of the video is requested by the client, we do those.
We communicate with people at the wedding event to get the best possible photo results. This is key to getting those nice candid shots and expressions from people. Our pictures of people are natural and brings out the best in people.

Photo quality: The camera used was a Nikon D70 which was fine back when it was manufactured in 2004-2006 however because of the older sensor quality and the lower light in the venue all of our photos are dark with odd shadows. Photos of events taken by guests using their cellphone cameras came out much better than the photographers images of the same event and angle. It does not appear that he used a rapid shooting technique so we have quite a lot of photos with eye closed or abnormal facial expressions. His price was very reasonable however the images we received could have easily been done by a friend using a newer point and shoot camera. We will have to Photoshop and try to correct as many photos as possible but will be using cellphone images and point and shoot images from our family for the album simply because their color and contrast quality is superior.
Photographer professionalism: When I called 2 weeks before the date to confirm with him, he said that our wedding was not on his books. I forwarded his confirmation email to him and after calling me by 4 different brides names in spite of me repeatedly telling him my name, he found the contract in his cancelled jobs folder. He again called me by another brides name and said that my mother had called and cancelled the photo contract. I had to tell him several times that I was not that bride and that he had cashed my deposit check and confirmed the booking. Eventually it got figured out but imagine the panic with only 14 days until the wedding!
Lance said some unusual things to guests and made a few of them uncomfortable. He kept showing guests photos on his cell phone and seemed to talk a lot. I had said that there were not going to be any preparation photos since there was no wedding dress but he barged into the closed dressing room, without knocking, while my family was getting ready and were dressing my 10 year old daughter.

Every wedding we photograph, our focus is to capture all the memories of the wedding day from the getting ready pictures to the reception, the detail shots, family pictures, wedding party portraits and end with great portraits of the bride and groom and of the ceremony.
Our wedding packages are low cost and affordable and aim at providing great wedding photography to clients with small budgets. We work with different photographic cameras to produce the desired images. Great pictures can be taken on any camera, ultimately, it’s the photographer’s skill, not the camera used, that produces outstanding pictures.
After each wedding, we touch up the images for optimal quality and present them to our clients on a disc with a print release. If however the client requests additional touch ups to the photos, we gladly provide that service at no cost to the client.
This particular client, who is a competing wedding photographer and planner in the area, has personally attacked my business with this review and it is completely slanderous and hateful designed not to get me business. Lance was quick to respond and meet with us right away. His prices were great and we were excited to work with him. He seemed nice and even offered to do some free shots at the rehearsal. That's where it got weird. He ate dinner without asking (for number reasons you can see how bad that can be! and it was a really expensive dinner) He didn't even take ONE picture of me during the rehearsal dinner and missed the part where my husband and I gave personal vows to our closest friends and families (Thankfully other people did) He said really weird stuff to some of the guests, like off the wall political stuff and he hit on my aunt! He got many good pictures, but a large chunk have a dark shadow on the bottom. Once I picked out the photos to print he didn't fix the one issue I had. To get those nice candids of people and bring out the best in people, it’s important to talk to the subject’s you are photographing to get them at ease and comfortable while being photographed. I’m at the wedding to achieve the best possible wedding pictures and communication with the people I’m photographing is important to me. We photograph everything on the wedding day, however, if something is being missed, let the photographer know that so it can be captured.
All wedding pictures are retouched for optimal quality. If however more retouching is needed, we gladly provide that. We achieve to make every client happy with our photographic work.
