    Amazing, interesting flavors

We wanted a bunch of different, non-traditional wedding cakes/tortes. When they came, everyone was "dazzled" by the looks and the tastes. They were so decadent and all so different. We ordered a lot of chocolate flavors (which were a big hit). My personal favorite was the mango mousse. If you are looking for something non-traditional wedding white/buttercream - although they do offer this - I would definitely try Lana's. The presentation of the cakes are spectacular and so are the flavors.

We loved our sweet table! Lana was supportive of our decisions, giving us freedom to choose our preferences while also making suggestions when we were unsure of what we wanted. The desserts looked phenomenal, tasted amazing, and we got tons of compliments! Loved working with Lana, highly recommend her!

Our cake was beautiful, just like I had imagined and described it to Lana. Also, the flavors were fantastic. Our bottom tear was a carrot cake and the top two tears were pistachio and both were absolute crowd pleasers! Could not be happier!

I wouldn't have gone with any other bakery. Lana knows what she's doing! I've seen so many beautiful cakes at weddings but this one was unbelievable AND way too delicious. I only showed Lana two pictures of ideas for cakes and she and her team delivered. Thank you!!

Amazing cake!!! She was so creative, she helped us come up with a unique design! We had 4 suitcases, with additional addons that were special to us (such as , golf clubs, dancing shoes). The cake was yummy, chocolate with rasberries, and passions fruit! Her deserts are always amazing. I've been oreding for her on multiple occasions, and looking forward to many more!

The sweet table that we purchased from Lana was the absolute highlight of the wedding. Her vision and suggestions were greatly appreciated by every single one of our guests and even more so by us.

We are now regular patrons of this fantastic bakery!

Lanas cakes are amazing, the best in town. Not only that they look unique and beautifull the taste is one of the kind. Lana did our wedding cake and we were very pleased, she did a great job. I would highly recomend her if you are looking for a great, tasty desert.

Lana made a beautiful cake for our wedding. It was of two delicious flavors -- one was "ispahan," a lychee rose mousse with fresh raspberries, and the other was "marjolaine" which tasted like chocolate tiramisu. You won't find these flavors elsewhere. Thanks for making our wedding special!

My caterer, Catered by Design, basically selected Lana's for us. CBD offers a package where you can have your wedding cake (from their selected vendor) included in the price. Our cake was delicious!! - vanilla with lemon and chocolate with raspberry. We didn't even do a tasting (we live out of town) and it was great. Also, Lana's did a great job decorating with a pattern from the Cheney Mansion fence!

The one downside in my opinion is that only a very very basic cake, that Lana says no one even wants, was not included in the package. So, I ended up paying an extra $100 or so for the fondant option that Lana recommended, even though it was included in my catering. This led to a few strange phone calls. But, in the end, I suspect I got off easy on my cake+food prices, plus both were absolutely delicious. And the cake was better than I pictured just from a picture on the internet and a phone call.

I shouldn't really comment on the price since I didn't shop around, but the cake was delicious and the service was great. Definitely recommend.

Mishandled allergy and I couldn't eat my own wedding c ake.

We are incredibly disappointed with our experience and feel obligated to warn anyone with food allergies.

My husband has a severe tree nut allergy. Before booking, we explained this in detail and specifically told the bakery that **there could be absolutely no nuts or sesame in any of our cake.** We understood that cross-contact could not be guaranteed, and we explicitly agreed to that. What we did **not** agree to was nuts being intentionally included in any part of our order.

We confirmed this requirement multiple times leading up to our wedding.

On our wedding day, after arriving at the venue, the owner informed us that there had been a mistake: the decorator had accidentally used almond flour in the top tier of our wedding cake. This wasn't a case of cross-contact—it was a completely different ingredient than what we had ordered and explicitly discussed.

She then told my husband to avoid anything containing vanilla because that was the tier with almond flour, while assuring us that the sheet cake was safe because it was supposed to be triple chocolate and chocolate raspberry.

When the sheet cake was served, we discovered that half of it was actually white/vanilla cake—not what we had ordered or what we had just been told. At that point, we had no confidence that anything had been made correctly. When you're dealing with a serious food allergy, trust matters. After already being told that an ingredient we specifically prohibited had been mistakenly used, we could no longer trust that any of the cake was safe.

As a result, **the bride and groom were unable to eat their own wedding cake.**

What has made this even more disappointing is the response afterward. Rather than acknowledging that this was a significant mistake, the owner refused to offer any partial refund because my husband had said in the moment that he is "not allergic to almonds." This completely misses the point. She did not know the specifics of his allergy before making the mistake, nor should she have assumed that intentionally including any nut after being instructed not to was acceptable.

People with severe food allergies are often advised to avoid all nuts because of the risk of reactions and cross-contamination. After discovering that our explicit instructions had already been ignored once—and after finding that the cake flavors didn't even match what we had been told—we simply could not trust the product enough for him to eat it.

Mistakes can happen. What matters is how a business responds to them. Had the bakery accepted responsibility and worked with us toward a reasonable resolution, this review probably wouldn't exist. Instead, we've been met with defensiveness, denial about the sheet cake despite what was served, and a refusal to acknowledge that the real issue was the complete breakdown of trust around a serious food allergy.

Your wedding cake is supposed to be one of the special moments of your wedding day. Ours became a source of stress, disappointment, and anxiety, and we never got to enjoy it.

If your family has food allergies—or if you simply expect your baker to follow explicit dietary instructions and stand behind their mistakes—I cannot recommend this bakery.
