    Outstanding Wedding Dress Experience

I got engaged in July of 2020 and started looking for dresses January of 2021 (my wedding was Jan 2022) as dress shops started opening up and being more flexible with the amount of people they allowed in with the bride during an appointment. The first time my mom and I visted Lambs Hill we were going just to get a feel for the experience of dress fittings and how it all worked, and were absolutely blown away but the professionalism of the stylists there, how personal and indivualized the appointment felt, and the overall ambiance of the shop itself. My stylist Deanna did such an amazing job listening to what I wanted, but also suggesting I try on different styles and thank goodness she did, because I went with a totally different look than I originally thought I wanted. I ended up coming in a second time for an "after hours" appointment where the whole shop stays open just for your appointment and you are allowed to bring in more than just one or two people ( which was important to me during COVID as I wanted my mom, two maids of honor, and my aunt to all be there when I hopefully picked the dress! It was an absolute dress of an evening and Lambs Hill supplied wine, a chacuterie board, and let us control the music too! The dresses they have at this shop are incredibly unique and all so stunning for very affordable prices. I was shocked that I was able to get such a beautiful dress at the price it was - would highly recommend them!!!

A Unique Venue with an Amazing View

Lambs Hill was an amazing place for our wedding and offered us the flexibility of doing a 'step-up' from an elopement ceremony. As two gay women, we wanted an intimate wedding with our closest and best. It was truly difficult to find a venue in the Northeast that accommodated our small number (40 people) and wasn't a completely DIY venue. (Many barn style weddings are) The view was amazing, the property and landscape speaks for itself and we kept the decor to a minimum - trust me, it wasn't missed at all. The property is PRISTINE, and the package that Lambs HIll offers is such a value. The tables, chairs, and benches are all high quality, the floral package made planning so much easier on us, and their list of vendors are incredible. Being able to stay on venue property before and a few days after our wedding helped us truly enjoy every moment of our wedding weekend. This is a venue for a couple looking for something both low-key and adventurous. Our family and friends could not believe the view and our pictures are insane. Seriously an unforgettable day and can't imagine getting married anywhere else. As two gay women, we felt comfortable and welcomed by the Lambs Hill staff. Highly recommend for other LGBTQ couples. All of our pictures were done with Annalise Sheridan Photography. Truly a Hudson Valley GEM!

    Dream Wedding Venue

Lambs Hill is a one of a kind venue. The place is absolutely stunning. Our wedding day felt like a movie with the scenic views and staying at the equestrian suite. Our guests were in awe of the venue and could not believe that a place as magical as Lambs Hill actually exists. The ceremony, cocktail area and reception space are all equally incredible. Charlotte and Debbie made our dream wedding come true!

    Most Amazing Venue EVER

My husband and I recently had our wedding at Lambs Hill and I don’t think I can say enough good things about this venue. First off, the views are absolutely incredible and makes for the perfect back drop for a wedding. We got very lucky that our last minute date was available (there were so many unknowns with Covid) and Lambs Hill was extremely helpful and flexible and able to answer any questions we had. We also stayed at the air bnb that is on site and I don’t know how we’ll ever be able to stay in another air bnb again, that’s how amazing it is! Our guests were completely blown away by Lambs Hill and our day was so incredibly special because we decided to get married here. Thank you SO much Charlotte and team!

    Perfect Day

We had our wedding at Lambs Hill in September 2019 and people are still talking about it! We wanted a smaller wedding that was not your typical cookie cutter wedding and we were able to find that here. From the view to the animals, everything just gives it a little extra edge. Charlotte and her staff were very helpful and accommodating, which made the whole process a little easier. I definitely recommend!

    Mohr wedding

Lambs Hill was the perfect place to get married I loved the idea having a small wedding but Lambs Hill brought it to another level with their view. Their property is stunning the flowers that surrounds the property and the garden is unbelievable. The decor looks like it came out of a magazine which looked amazing for photos. Charlotte and her team were amazing to work with and responded so quickly and made it so easy to work with. I highly recommend Lambs Hill !

Every Bride to Be should shop here!!!

Every bride to be should come here !!! I literally can't say enough wonderful things about this boutique, Jess, who helped me, and my experience here. The second I walked in I thought to my self this place is soooo cute, and beautifully decorated, spacious and intimate at the same time. I emailed a few of the dresses I liked form their website and they were hanging in the dressing room when I arrived. Jess was wonderful and made me feel so comfortable. They have a wonderful inventory of all different styles and sizes!!! I bought my dress there on my first visit, and the experience was everything I could have hoped for and more.

This is a very long overdue review of our wedding venue, Lambs Hill Farm, in Fishkill, NY. I will try to do my best to cover all of the bases and detail, but overall, we could not be happier with the venue and the hospitality of Charlotte and her husband, the owners of the venue.

Our wedding was tiny - with less than 25 guests (however, I believe their capacity is much higher). The property is gorgeous. It is built to take full advantage of location on a mountain, with an amazing view of the Hudson Valley, gorgeous rustic stable, reflecting pool and beautiful patio/deck area. Our pictures came out amazing, and we were able to take advantage of different areas around the property.

The lodging also was above and beyond what we expected. The suite was styled as a honeymoon suite and also was perfect for photos. The owners made sure to do everything they could to make things go smoothly. They even set out string lighting for after dusk which we didn't discuss earlier and also helped with pictures- assisting with the farm animals making sure we had some really memorable shots.

I would recommend Lambs Hill for any event that calls for a picturesque, outdoor setting, but also with access to the modern comfortable lodging provided by the wedding suite. If anyone would like a more detailed review, please ask Charlotte for my email and I will gladly respond.

Everything about this trip exceeded expectations. It was a perfect getaway with unique flair. It may be hard to believe, but the pictures don't do it justice. Charlotte could not have been a better host. She was extremely responsive and helpful when it came to planning the perfect proposal. We will definitely be back to visit again!

LambsHill was the kind of place I had dreamed of, but did not think could possibly exist.

It is so romantic, with its rustic flair, its incredible view of the Hudson Valley, and its charming architecture and detail-attentive design. Charlotte is a TRUE ARTIST, and her vision for LambsHill is the apotheosis of classy rustic romance meshed with a celebration of the artistry of mother nature-- I could not have hoped for a more breathtakingly beautiful place with so many charming and unique photo opportunities-- from the spiral staircase, balconies and foot bridges, to the reflecting pool and stained glass-- and of course, the beautiful creatures, two Icelandic horses and two mini donkeys, who call LambsHill home.

Charlotte and Dennis worked very hard to ensure everything went smoothly the day of the event, and worked with our vendors and helped coordinate countless details with our wedding planner, Deb Dichter of Red Letter Day, who was also an INCREDIBLE asset.

Charlotte and Dennis were always very gracious, very flexible in helping us secure last-minute details, and completely invested in helping a vision materialize into a reality that all can appreciate.

Countless guests, and even our vendors, were amazed by the unique and rustic, yet rich opportunities afforded by LambsHill, and so many of our guests said it was the best wedding they had ever been to because of its departure from the production assembly line wedding factories that are so commercial and impersonal.

We knew from the second we visited that this was our place, and we could not have been happier with our decision.

Unique setting on boutique farm overlooking the village of Beacon, NY and Hudson. Stay overnight in the loft barn and you'll wake up to amazing views.
Charlotte and her staff was extremely helpful throughout, especially with last minute details (e.g., setting up the TV for our personal picture slides).
I had numerous wedding guests tell me the setting was "magnificent" and "unbelievable." And a couple of my nieces said they wanted to return to get married at Lambs Hill.

    Fairytale setting

This venue was breathtaking and the reason why we selected it was for the views. We wanted a small wedding and so everything seemed to fall in place (they can hold up to 50 people). I would say that the communication is lacking, we had a huge issue with vendor insurance a month before the wedding which was very annoying to deal with and I felt could have been address much earlier. So be mindful of this esp with your hair and makeup team (it could cost you up to 100/pp to insure them). The person of contact also went on vacation for 10 days right before our wedding and didn't get back until two days prior which was very unsettling esp when we were trying to settle the insurance issue and my florist was trying to get information. You also need to use their vendors which in theory is fine otherwise you are charged 500 for using a different caterer and the whole insurance factor comes in. My florist had issues bc she was told there was a lot of greenery on the arbor and there wasn't so when she went to decorate it she had to change her arrangements last minute. It's a unique location and you have to use their transportation to get up the mountain and although I spoke to the guy on three different occasions he still had questions the day of the wedding when I was sitting in the car which was infuriating bc I even sent him a picture with specific car arrangements and pick up times. We were very lucky with the weather and the space is beyond spectacular but there were many stressors that didn't need to happen. Also if you buy your dress from the boutique you get a free night in the equestrian suite and that means you can stay there the Thursday before your wedding or you can use it another time and pay for one night bc it's a two night minimum.

    Luxury pricing for underwhelming service

Our wedding at this venue was filled with gorgeous views and beautiful moments—but it came with some challenges I think future couples should be aware of.

First, the good: the location is stunning. The scenery truly speaks for itself and made for an incredibly picturesque backdrop throughout the day. The on-site bride and groom suite (available the night before and night of) was a huge plus—especially for a small wedding. The whole space is designed for intimate, micro weddings, and that aspect was really lovely.

However, there were several downsides that made the planning process more difficult than it needed to be.

The vendor policy was extremely rigid. They provide a preferred vendor list, but it hadn’t been updated—some vendors were no longer in business, which was frustrating. I appreciated that they ultimately accepted my wedding painter and photographer as outside vendors after we discussed insurance coverage, but it did take some extra effort and back-and-forth to make it happen.

Booking vendors was a real challenge. Honestly, we started planning and reaching out over a year in advance, and even then, many of the listed vendors were already fully booked. That left us with very few options. For example, for hair and makeup on our date, I was left with just three vendors: one was wildly out of my price range, one only offered makeup (no hair), and the last—thankfully—ended up being lovely, but was literally my only viable option.

Communication throughout the planning process was difficult and unclear. I often felt like I was speaking to one person who would then relay messages to another, which led to delays and confusion. Additionally, we were required to use a specific shuttle company (Eco Green Limo), and that experience was rough. They were incredibly hard to reach leading up to the wedding, and on the day of, they dropped guests off over an hour early—well before they were supposed to arrive.

The biggest issue, though, was with the owner, Charlotte. I completely understand that this is also her private residence—but if you are opening your home as a wedding venue and Airbnb, there needs to be a level of professionalism and respect. Instead, her presence felt invasive. Family members drove through and stared while guests were arriving, and Charlotte herself was casually lingering around in leggings and a tank top, appearing in the background of photos and never once introducing herself or welcoming us.

One of the most upsetting moments was when she barged into the bridal suite unannounced while I was getting dressed. No knock, no introduction—just walked in while I was half-naked. She then proceeded to yell at our hair stylist in front of the entire bridal party and later made rude comments about her in front of the groom and the brothers of the bride, all due to a miscommunication about vendor parking. (For context, we were told by the coordinator that parking across from the barn was fine, and that’s what we did.)

Other considerations: the wedding had to end earlier than we would’ve liked, a sizable security deposit was required, and the venue only allows weddings in May, June, September, and October—which made planning during peak summer months more difficult. (I'm a teacher and really wanted the first weekend in July, but was repeatedly denied.

Bottom line: the venue is visually stunning and works beautifully for small, intimate weddings. But be prepared for strict rules, communication hiccups, and potential challenges with the owner’s behavior. I’m grateful for the memories we created there, but I do wish some aspects had been handled more professionally.

    Luxury pricing for underwhelming service.
