Excellent!

Having Brian play my ceremony added so much to the experience for us and our guests! The ceremony was very private and in a tiny old church, so the acoustics were wonderful. Thank you, Brian for bringing so much extra beauty to the perfect day!

Excellent Experience, Highly Recommended!

My wife and I hired Lakeside Strings to play for a handful of songs for our wedding ceremony earlier this month. Brian was a pleasure to work with - responsive, understanding, easy to work with, and his services are reasonably priced. Since our event, we have received so many compliments from our guests about the music at the ceremony. We would highly recommend Lakeside Strings to anyone looking to add music to their ceremony!

Perfect choice

Brian Donat was incredible. I knew I wanted a cellist and the music for my ceremony and my cocktail hour filled the room and gave everything an elevated, classic and timeless touch. Brian was affordable, always in contact and helped immensely when narrowing down music choices as he knows his music!

Working with Brian was absolutely one of the best decisions we made for our day! Brian went above and beyond to make sure our day went seamlessly. He not only learned songs that were important to us, he helped us organize the order of events, logistics, and offered helpful feedback throughout the entire process. Our guests were completely enamored by Brian and having him and the violinist completely elevated the overall feel of our wedding. Brian also helped save the day by quickly organizing and renting us a microphone and speaker system for the ceremony. Truly don't know what we would have done without him! Absolutely exceptional.

Incredible Vendor

Brian provided our ceremony music, and we had requested essentially string acoustic covers of some of our favorite songs - he absolutely exceeded the mark in improving and learning these tracks. While waiting to go down the aisle I could most certainly pick out exactly which of my songs he was playing - and he was so personable and responsive with our communication.

Brian did an AMAZING job making our ceremony dreams come to life! His music is so beautiful and they can make any song request sound perfect! We special requested Your Love is My Drug by Kesha as our processional (sentimental reason lol) and he made it both recognizable by our guests and sound elegant as well! We couldn’t be happier that we had them as part of our special day!

Beautiful ceremony

Brian was a pleasure to work with on our ceremony music! Not only is he a true talented professional, he made the process of planning our ceremony music so easy and made great suggestions. We wanted a cello duo with a piano and he made it happen with Chris Ott, who was also great! He was responsive to all my questions and I was so excited he would do a song not on his list, Halo by Beyonce, for my entrance. When I was preparing to walk down the aisle, hearing the beautiful music outside by the lake at the Aurora Inn, felt magical. Especially when my song came on, the music set the tone and made the atmosphere so dreamy and romantic, just what I wanted! If you are considering added musicians to your wedding, you won't regret it, especially with Brian! My only regret is not hiring him for the cocktail hour too. Thank you Brian!!

Working with Brian was incredible from start to finish. He helped us organize our ceremony and recommended the most beautiful music to go along with it. Brian was one of our easiest vendors to work with - he provided samples of his music and worked with us all the way through the process. He developed our recessional for us based on a song that we provided to him and that he customized in his own unique way.

Brian was an easy choice for us for our wedding ceremony. We love the sound of the cello. Seeing as how our ceremony was to be outdoors Brian recommended we add a violin to the performance and he was right... we definitely needed it. Brian worked with us on music choice and even worked with a wedding guest of ours to accompany her during a singing performance during the ceremony. Overall, I would recommend the Adirondack Cellist to anyone wishing to add a touch of class and elegance to their event.

I honestly can't recommend Brian enough. We hired him to play at our wedding. Leading up to the event, he was extremely responsive, professional, and wonderful to work with. At the wedding, we gave him carte blanche to play what he wanted during both the ceremony and dinner. He did not disappoint and honestly made an already special event even more special.

Brian did a wonderful job playing the ceremony music for our wedding at lake placid lodge. He is very talented and everything went exactly how we wanted it to. He was able to play less traditional music that we requested. I unfortunately didn't have an opportunity to speak with him at the wedding but he was always very responsive leading up to it. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a cellist.

I can't even describe to you how beautiful they sounded. We had the cello (Brian) and violin duo for our ceremony on 10/7/16. The only thing I wish we had done differently was keep them around for cocktail hour so I could hear them and enjoy them longer. They kept their composure, were very professional and never got distracted even with a screaming flower girl being wheeled around them. Brian was a pleasure to work with, fast responding and played any of my special requests. I can't speak highly enough of them!

Brian was great, we didn't know a whole lot about what types of music would sound great on a cello, but he did a great job walking us through what would be appropriate for the ceremony. We also simply gave him free reign for cocktail hour music and he did a wonderful job with both our ceremony and our cocktail hour!

if you're on the fence about hiring a musician for your wedding ceremony, all I can say is...DO IT! We hired the Adirondack Cellist to play during our ceremony and cocktail hour and we are so thankful that we did. Brian of the Adirondack Cellist is a true professional--responsive and flexible. My husband and I are big Game of Thrones fans and upon our request, Brian learned the theme song to the tv show and played it during our wedding. It was a huge hit with our guests and we couldn't be happier with the services we received.

Despite the chilly day Brian played excellently! I never got to meet him unfortunately but he was very professional from everything I heard from others. He came in picked where he was going to play, set up, played beautifully. I loved all the pieces he picked, I didn't pick any specific songs except the recessional and the wedding march but he picked pieces that fit the mood and crowd perfectly. Communication before the wedding was great! I would definitely recommend him!

I was married at The Whiteface Lodge in Lake Placid, NY. Brian was SUCH a pleasure to work with. I didn't know much about what I wanted at first, but Brian was very helpful and gave me a bunch of great ideas and piece of mind about the whole selection process. He played with a violinist, and the music was just so beautiful. He is truly talented. He showed up on time and was very professional (but fun!) to work with. I would recommend him to anyone. We had the Adirondack cellist and a violinist that works with him play at our wedding ceremony. Their music was such a wonderful addition to our special day, All of the guests commented on how lovely it was to have actual musicians, and with the acoustics in the chapel it really set the mood and helped make our wedding ceremony complete. the Adirondack cellist was also extremely helpful and really worked with me on figuring out the ceremony music. There was one song that I chose for my walk down the isle that wasn't in their list of music and they found the sheet music so they could play it for our wedding, which really meant a lot to me that they took that extra step to make our wedding more special.

I really wanted a solo cellist to play at my wedding ceremony. I just so happened to stumble upon Brian's website while searching one day. Brian was wonderful to work with. He was very professional, personable and attentive. He was great in working with me to choose my non traditional ceremony music (he also does traditional I just thought it was great that he was willing to work with me to do something different!). He was receptive to my thoughts and helped me choose based on his expert opinion as well. The ceremony music was absolutely beautiful. I couldn't have asked for a better musician or person to be a part of my wedding day! I would definitely recommend Brian Donat.

Brian and his violinist friend played for our wedding in March 2015 at the Hall of Springs in Saratoga Springs, NY. When I heard the music from our bridal suite, the sound perfectly matched the elegance of the venue, and I couldn’t be happier with his professionalism and performance.

Working with Brian before the wedding was phenomenal. He understands how weddings work and knows the right questions to ask. I told him a list of songs that we liked, and he was able to build his performance around those songs. I just wish I was able to meet him for more than a wave across the venue, he seems like a great guy.

Brian and a violinist were a great addition to our ceremony. He was easy to work with. He didn't require much direction or coordination which is great in the wedding planning process. They did a great job with a Pixies song for our processional. We loved it!

An amazing touch to our wedding! The music was beautiful, just stunning! We loved being able to request our own songs and have them adapted perfectly to our wedding to create a wonderful atmosphere. Brian was excellent to work with. Highly recommended.

From start to finish, Brian was easy to work with and extremely flexible. He had great recommendations but was sure to make your day exactly how you wanted it. We received many compliments about his music. I would recommend him any time.

Brian was simply amazing! I cannot express how happy I am we chose him for our wedding ceremony and reception dinner music. My only regret is that in all the chaos, we never actually got to meet in person!! Regardless, he is simply superb. He is an excellent musician with beautiful stylings. He even went as far as to compose a modern piece of music for the solo cello (and trio) just for our wedding. He was always a pleasure to communicate with through our countless email exchanges. He's very professional, intelligent, creative and fun! I would recommend him to anyone planning a special event as he will certainly not disappoint. It was a little scary to blindly pick a musician (I live 1000 miles from my wedding location), but Brian turned out to be one of the best selections - and most memorable- that I made. Thank you, Brian, for you service, your talent, and your friendship through this process. I will never forget it.

With very short notice, Brian Donat agreed to play his cello at my daughter's wedding and also found a fellow musician to play her violin. The music was exactly what my daughter and I were hoping for! It was beautiful! Not only is Brian a very talented musician, but he was accommodating in every way. He even drove to my work place to go over the wedding music. We couldn't be happier with the outcome! Perfection in every way!

Brian was an absolute pleasure to work with! He plays the cello beautifully and made our wedding day even more special by doing a custom arrangement of a specific song for part of our processional. I highly recommend him!

Brian was perfect! He played cello for an hour before and during my ceremony. His music was absolutely beautiful. At first I was worried about only having one instrument (as opposed to a duo, trio or quartet), but trust me that Brian is all that you need! He was also extremely professional and I was able to communicate with him primarily over email (which was important to me) during the planning process!

I would highly recommend him!

Very easy to work with. Had lots of ideas for music if we didn't want specific. Was willing to send us samples of music since we were 3 hours away. All of my guest loved the mood that was set for our ceremony by these amazing musicians!

When the weather didn't cooperate and the service had to be pushed back, Brian was very flexible and cooperative. He played at the beach throughout the mist.

Brian was very easy to work with. He found the violinist for us and recommended music to be played for the recessional and processional. He was also very flexible as we had a soloist and changed the musical selection for him several times.

Brian was a joy to have for our ceremony music. We had a trio for our ceremony music and it was simply beautiful. Brian is easy to work with and was able to play a special song for me to walk down the aisle to, which made our day that much more special. I highly recommend Brian for your wedding music!

I hired Brian Donat and two violins to play for my ceremony and my cocktail hour. It's a little hard to review the ceremony musicians, because when everything goes right, you barely notice them in the rush of things! Brian and his fellow musicians had a long list of traditional and contemporary classical music to choose from. I ended up simply asking them to play traditional, spring-time classical music for the prelude; picking a couple specific songs for the ceremony procession; and then asking them to play arrangements of contemporary numbers during the cocktail hour to be a more lighthearted. So, even though I was busy elsewhere taking photos, I did hear the string trio playing Lady Gaga's "Pokerface" and Aladdin's "A Whole New World" for my guests during cocktail hour (both of those were my choices, don't blame Brian if you don't like my sense of humor!). The musicians were all punctual, appropriately dressed, and they added just that little extra touch of class to my semi-outdoor reception. I was very happy with this choice.
