Magical Winter Wedding

We are so glad to have chosen Imperia for our January wedding! The venue is beautiful and is perfect for an evening wedding. Lisa helped us plan and coordinate our day, and everything went so smoothly. Going into it, I had heard all these stories about the couple not getting to enjoy their day because of all the details, but they took care of everything and I had a blast. The venue is already gorgeous, so that helps with any decorating needs, the florals were included in my package plan (my florals were beautiful and exactly what I wanted!), and the food was amazing. My guests were raving about the food for days after the event. When we started planning, my husband and I didn't have a lot of direction on where to start or what exactly we wanted. Lisa and the Imperia staff really walked us through the process and helped us navigate this convoluted process. Having the catering and florals through Imperia also helped us greatly because it cut down on some of the major decisions we had to make for vendors. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone planning a wedding in Seattle! I'm so glad to have found it during my search.

Imperia Lake Union gave us the best night of our lives!!

We chose to have our wedding at Imperia and could not be more happy with how it turned out. The venue is beautiful and the staff were absolutely amazing to work with. If you are looking for a place to have a fun party that goes late, this place is where you should book! We have been told by multiple people from our wedding that this was the best wedding they have been too and one of the coolest venues they have ever seen. If you are tossing up whether to go with Imperia or somewhere else, your money will be best spent with the folks from Imperia!

Fabulous wedding day with Imperia Lake Union

We couldn’t have asked for a better experience with Imperia Lake Union. The venue is lovely and the staff are top notch. They were helpful, responsive, professional and so easy to work with. The Perfect Venue

My husband and I got married here early November. It was the most perfect day. In the months and weeks leading up to the event, JJ and Tasia answered all of our questions. They guided us through all of the steps, and made the daunting process of planning a wedding so simple. They are experts in what they do and made us feel so comfortable. On the day of the wedding JJ brought her calm professional attitude and made me feel at ease with all the moving pieces. As a bride and groom she always made sure we had a drink in our hands or food if we were hungry. Our flowers, put together by Nicole, were absolutely perfect. I gave her colors I liked and she created the most beautiful arrangements. I had no complaints. Every guest that we talked to commented on how the venue is beautiful, historic, one of a kind. They were wowed by the service and quality of the food. The bar tenders were incredible and fast. If you're looking for a place to have your wedding that has food, flowers, candles, bartenders, day of coordinators all in one place, look no further than Imperia Lake Union. You wont regret it.

Best Day Ever

Cannot thank the team at Imperia enough for making our day so special and perfect!!!!! The entire planning process was so easy thanks to their coordination, the food was DELICIOUS (and on our wedding day it was even better than the tasting!) and the in-house florals were stunning. Professional Wedding Location

The thing I would like to say about Imperia Lake Union is that it is a total wedding service. They take care of everything, from start to finish, including the wedding planning. The venue is also perfect for a wedding. We can not recommend them more highly.

5/5 Imperia Summer Wedding

We had an amazing experience with Imperia Lake Union and would get married here again and do everything 99% the same! We got married on 7/26/2024 outside in Fairview Park with the reception inside with about 140 guests. Between my wedding and my other 2 sisters, my family commented that this was by the far the best communication and coordination we received from all 3. We worked closely with Tasia and JJ and had amazing experiences with both - we would highly recommend using them for florals and day-of coordination (we got the highest package there) and then we outsourced our own photographer and DJ. The food and apps were delicious, drinks were awesome (they brought in Busch Light for us), and we were able to party until 1 am!

Exceeded all Expectations

Imperia Lake Union was exceptional -- our wedding of 150 guests was beautiful and flawless, even better than we could have imagined. Their professionalism, organization and responsiveness was incredible, making the wedding planning process a joy. The Imperia Lake Union event directors walked us through the process every step of the way. The on-site food and beverage, florals, and decor, along with their list of vendors they love, made choices so easy and fun. Almost every guest commented on the beauty of the evening, many saying it was the best wedding they'd ever attended. We would love to use Imperia in the future -- we highly, highly recommend it. Huge thanks to Tasia, JJ, Nicole, and the rest of the amazing team. We will be forever grateful. The evening was pure magic.

Amazing wedding venue!

Imperia helped to simplify the whole wedding planning process. We were planning from out of state and Tasia and JJ were so easy to communicate with We loved that almost everything was done in-house and they were upfront with the pricing for every part. The food and drinks were amazing, the in-house florals were beautiful, and the staff were all so helpful. We had the best time, and would get married there again in a heartbeat!

Fun, friendly, professional.

We could not be any happier that we booked our venue at Imperia. Aside from us just falling in love with the decor immediately, we also fell in love with JJ and Tasia, who we worked with the entire time. They are funny, caring, professional and would love to call them friends. From the food, event coordination, flowers and staff, everything on our special day was top notch. My wife and I highly recommend Imperia Lake Union for any event and we hope we’re able to plan something with them in the future.

Outstanding wedding venue!

We highly recommend Imperia Lake Union. This venue embodied everything we were looking for. It was eclectic, a good value, and offered many amenities that allowed us to consolidate our list of vendors. Tasia and JJ are there to answer your questions, help you bring your wedding vision to life, and to support you on your big day to ensure everything goes smoothly. The food was fantastic, the flowers were gorgeous (JJ is the in-house florist), and the set up for our indoor ceremony/reception made this already beautiful venue look amazing. Our guests had a blast and we've heard countless compliments on the elegance of the venue. If you are looking for a vintage style venue in Seattle, this is it!

Imperia Lake Union was the first venue we visited, and it was an immediate yes. We fell in love with the classy and beautiful art-deco details, the layout of the space, and the incredible staff.

Tasia and JJ are the dream team - these are the two women you want running your wedding. Not only did they provide us with a clear guide and options for a wedding specific to us, their constant communication put us at ease - as we had a plethora of questions, and they were kind enough to give us a plethora of answers.

Tasia's planning is unparalleled and JJ's flower arrangements are unmatched. The two are hilarious, helpful, caring, and kind - we felt supported every step of the way.

Imperia Lake Union also has a beautiful full-bar and in-house catering by the exquisite Chef Ian - the food was AMAZING! Chef Ian was kind enough to provide vegan and celiac friendly customizations too.

The space is laid out similar to a theatre in the round, which we loved, so everyone (including our grandparents whom aren't as mobile) could be a part of every moment. There are also two secret dressing rooms to prepare and sneak away to on the big day, which we found more beneficial than we imagined.

The lighting was a highlight as well - we went with Imperia's candle package, lining the perimeter of the space against their mirrored walls. Simply stunning.

That said, due to the uniqueness of the space, it was suggested we use a photographer who has shot in the venue before. We went with their recommendation of Piero Manriq (https://pieromanriq.com/) and he was exceptional! We also went with their DJ recommendation of Zackary Strauss (https://www.lightingthesoundproductions.com/) who was also fantastic!

Seamless, Stress-free and Fabulous!

Tasia, JJ and their whole staff were absolutely incredible! We initially chose Imperia Lake Union for the convenience of everything being included (I really did not want to handle a ton of vendors especially without my own coordinator!) but customer service from start to finish went above and beyond! Tasia was always open and available for any questions we had and JJ was so flexible and creative when thinking through our floral arrangements. During our wedding, Tasia was constantly checking in with us (in a very supportive, not nagging way :)) which we greatly appreciated! And after Tasia left for the evening, her staff were incredible in taking care of us for the rest of the night. Also, the food - wow!! Magical & Classy Wedding Venue

Imperia Lake Union staff and venue went above and beyond my expectations! The venue was clean, classy, and had a tasteful design that extra decorations were minimal on my part. In addition, Tasia Fisher (Director of Events) was AMAZING! She was prompt, calm, and collected. She made sure my wedding day went smoothly but that we were taken care of along the way. If you want a magical and beautiful wedding, then Imperia Lake Union is your wedding venue. I'd give them 10 stars - they are the best!

Dream Wedding!

We couldn't have been more thrilled about hosting our wedding reception at Imperia! From the moment you walk into this venue you feel it's a memorable and special place :) the decor is top notch! It is a DANCE VENUE! We couldn't have hosted the dance party we did without the space of Imperia. It was idyllic. From the very beginning, JJ and Tasia were so communicative, accommodating, and focused on creating the event of our dreams! JJ's flowers matched the paper products my mom made PERFECTLY. It made for such a cohesive, polished look. Tasia was so flexible with our "alternative " requests for a private dinner in the back (just my husband and I) and for edible centerpieces that were a HIT! Tasia kept the night moving on a timeline so smoothly I just got to sit back and enjoy the ride. Our guests couldn't stop complimenting the efficiency and professionalism of the staff. The Imperia is an event venue. Because of this, they throw parties like well-oiled machines!! If you want to feel like you've landed in the middle of a Gatsby party or if you want to throw the dance party of a lifetime, do not hesitate and BOOK IMPERIA!

Fantastic Experience!

We were lucky enough to have our wedding reception at Imperia in June 2022 and are still raving about the experience!!

First, we initially booked pre-covid, and Imperia was extremely helpful and accommodating during the challenges of cancellations and postponements, as well as in navigating safety protocols. We are so grateful.

Second, and most importantly, Tasia and the entire staff at Imperia truly know what they are doing, and we felt so lucky to have been in their hands. The planning was easy and straightforward, and as soon as we arrived after our church ceremony (and they so brilliantly provided my husband and me with food and drinks!), I felt my stress level recede--it was so easy to have FUN with our loved ones knowing things were working beautifully behind the scenes. All of our guests raved about the food and venue (I still dream about the chimichurri steak!). We felt well-taken care of the whole night, and things ran so incredibly smoothly. We were also able to stash a few sleeping babies and a babysitter in one of the lounges—game changer!

Finally, I wanted to share that although we love the art deco elements of the venue, we chose not to amplify them in our decor and it worked beautifully! Lots of options at this venue to play up your own style.

Most beautiful experience of all time!

The staff at the Imperia make everything simple, fun, and perfect. We are so lucky to have gotten to work with them! Every time we step foot in the building we were met with excitement, kindness, and the best organization. They have this down to a science. They accommodated us with little requests here and there and really made sure we understood every single part of the process. The tasting was so fun and exciting! Picking florals was amazing! From the coordination before the event to the wedding rehearsal to the day of, they made sure we got every single thing we wanted. All due to them, it was our most perfect day. We can’t wait to come up with another reason to have a party with the Imperia! The absolute best!

Gorgeous venue and wonderful staff

We got married earlier this year and we are so, SO, happy that we chose Imperia. Not only is it absolutely gorgeous, but the space also felt incredibly functional. The secret dressing room sold it for me, such a beautiful little hidden area. Much larger dressing room downstairs that was perfect for the groomsmen to use for getting ready. The lobby, the bar, the wall of mirrors, the little trinkets and decor, every detail was perfect. We also loved the black half-circle booths lining each wall, it made everyone feel so much cozier and comfortable. As for the staff, Tasia and JJ were so kind and helpful. We mostly worked with Tasia to set up and make plans. She was also responsive and made the experience so much less stressful. JJ mostly helped to coordinate the day-of events and I appreciated her so much for everything she did to make sure the day ran smoothly, coordinating with my friends and family so that myself and my husband did not feel one bit of stress on our day. Thank you Imperia Lake Union!

Incredible all in one venue with delightful and efficient staff

I have always wanted a New Years Eve wedding and once I toured Imperia I knew it was the place! The classy, art deco gatsby vibes sold me immediately, I particularly loved that you barely needed any decorations, the venue holds its own, (we paid for the candlelight package and the entire space was lit up in candles, STUNNING) The team at Imperia are incredibly professional, Tasia and JJ are efficient, detail oriented, have the best recommendations and want you to have the wedding and experience you want, never pressuring you or making you feel bad about your vision or requests. Food, drink, and decoration options are clearly written out, as well as recommended vendors, who we had great experiences with. Their food and drink options are delicious, I initially resisted a venue that required you to use their food and alcohol but I am so glad I had to use theirs! The guests loved it. I could go on and on but if you want to make your wedding as stress free, beautiful and unique as possible, Imperia and the talented team that goes along with it, is the place to do it!

Beautiful space, wonderful staff, and an amazing, unique experience.

Imperia Lake Union has done some beautiful remodeling over the past couple of years. It still has it's intimate, vintage charm but with some added glam and polishing. Immediately when touring, we felt like it was "the one", but it also checked very important logistical boxes too. It was super easy for guests to get to from Seattle, it had on-site suites if we decided to get ready there, it accommodated outdoor ceremonies but could switch to indoor if there was an unexpected weather issue, and most importantly - we had the option for in-house florals, catering, and great bar options.

JJ created the most gorgeous florals and went above and beyond to accommodate pick-ups, deliveries, etc. including some unexpected delivery asks that I didn't know about until well after the wedding. She just handled it without hesitation.

Tasia was also super on top of every detail. Anything I ever mentioned in email to her would be noted on our file almost immediately. It was super clear what our package included, what add-ons were available, and I always received a response within a day or two.

Most importantly, the team at Imperia works hard to bring your vision to life. I'm sure I may have been one of the more particular brides - I had pretty specific visions of what I wanted for decor, food, and florals. But they never made me feel like a nuisance, they just worked with me to get it done. Trusting wedding vendors is hard because you have no idea what's going to happen until it's the big day! And you either sink, or swim. Thinking about how beautifully Imperia executed actually makes me teary. My breath was taken away when I saw our venue and everything managed by Imperia (food, florals, decor) brought a huge smile to my face.

I can't tell you how many people complimented us on the food and the decor. I had one vendor tell us it was the best wedding meal they had been given all year. I had other guests (both young and old) tell us it was the most beautiful wedding they had ever been to.

Imperia is truly a unique and special venue. I'm glad we got in when we did, because it's only going to continue to grow. I could easily think of 1000 more great things to say, but the point is - everyone there freaking rocks. From the event planning team to the bartenders, everyone was amazing.

Truly flawless.

We were just married at Imperia, and I cannot say enough about our experience. Tasia, JJ, and the entire staff at Imperia are incredible to work with. They are detail oriented, diligent, organized, and so enjoyable to be around. Tasia coordinated above and beyond expectation, and JJ's florals were the talk of the night. The venue itself is beautiful, and needs very little decoration to make for a stunning night. Very much a vintage city vibe with views of Lake Union. Our food (which was also in house) was perfect and fit both for vegetarians and omnivores alike. I could continue writing about all of the stellar things about Imperia, but I'll leave it at this-- if you're debating a wedding/event here, just do it.

Fabulous magical evening at the Imperia!!

The Imperia is an outstanding venue to have a wedding. The ambiance, impeccable service and out of this world caterer made my son's wedding magical. Exceeded all of our expections and more. Tasia, the Events Director is the best in the business and the entire staff were incredible.
She does not miss a thing. The uniqueness of this wedding venue is its intimacy that you felt like you were in someone's gorgeous home. Dance floor is the best and transitions from ceremony to party were seamless. The Fairview park close by made for gorgeous photos too. Parking across the street was perfect. Five star place! A dream to work with

We had such a great experience working with the team at Imperia! We used them for just about everything we could - food, desserts, alcohol, late night snack, flowers, signage, candles, etc. They made it so easy and were always responsive and willing to answer any and all of our questions. They were flexible when we had to postpone our wedding due to COVID, and gave us a list of recommended vendors we used to hire our DJ, photo booth, and insurance vendors (all of whom were excellent). Our guests couldn't stop raving about the food and how beautiful the setting was, and JJ made our flowers so beautiful. I cannot sing their praises enough!

Great service and great value

We are thrilled with how the Imperia handled our wedding and absolutely recommend them for your events if you're looking for an art-deco, glamourous and affordable venue. For context, we signed up for Tier 2 coordination in addition to a customized Elegance Package.

Though I'm from the Seattle area, it felt like I was planning a destination wedding since my husband and I live in France full-time. Our pre-wedding coordinator was Tasia, JJ was our day-of-coordinator, and Oscar was our banquet captain. I must have emaild Tasia about 100 times between our first visit to the venue and our post-wedding comms, and she never left an email sit longer than 48 hours and was always super accomodating with our time-zone differences. It was so reassuring to have her available to answer the nit-picky questions and help me ensure that everything was in order for our big day.

JJ handled our florals AND our day-of coordination. My husband specifically asked me to call out how helpful she was - and I want to thank her for that glass of wine pre-ceremony to calm my nerves! She set up everything the way we asked!

Oscar was our banquet captain and handled everything at the end of the night. From our perspective, it was absolutely seamless and our guests had nothing but positive things to say about their experience.

We only have one small feedback point: I wish our MC/DJ and JJ had coordinated better amongst themselves because sometimes they would come find us to ask a question we'd just answered, but that's also on us for not clearly identifying a "chain of command" or explicitly asking them to work together. It therefore has no bearing on our rating or experience, just a note for next time!

Overall, our big day was so special and full of joy thanks in LARGE part to the dedication and professionalism of the Imperia staff.

The best wedding ever

We had a Roaring 20's themed wedding at Imperia Lake Union that surpassed all our expectations and wildest dreams. Tasia, JJ, and their team were impeccable-- from communication for the 1.5 years leading up to the wedding to the details of the day of, they made sure we were happy. Multiple guests told us it was the best wedding they'd ever attended. We had no idea it could be so fun and seamless, and we are SO grateful to the Imperia team for hosting a truly perfect day!

Nothing short of perfect.

Can I give 10 stars?!?! Not only is Imperia gorgeous and classy, but Tasia made everything so simple and stress free during planning, and JJ was masterful at keeping things moving and addressing the inevitable things that come up day of. Rock star team and beautiful recently renovated venue

Imperia Lake Union was a perfect venue for our 120 person wedding. From the amazing food, great (and local) alcohol selection, to a team that knows their venue inside and out and is beyond helpful, I could not recommend Imperia Lake Union more!! We were able to make a ton of customizations that made the event stand out and feel special to us and all of the costs were fair. We hope to use them for future events!

What a time!

If you are looking for a place to get married, look no further then Imperia Lake Union. From the time we booked up until our big day they had undergone major renovations which took the 1920’s old school glam to the next level. It is a stunning venue for pictures. There is a secret, tucked away bridal suite and a larger downstairs suite which were fantastic for before and during our wedding for some private time The coordinators, Tasia and JJ were amazing to work with, every step of the way we felt taken care of and confident in the planning of our wedding.

We gravitated towards the convenience of catering and alcohol being include and were able to have a lunch and tasting before the wedding, the food sold us. We had guests days later talking about the food. We also ended up doing our floral through Imperia and JJ put together some truly beautifully bouquets and centerpieces. Overall, it’s a beautiful location, with amazing food, and enthusiastic and skilled coordinators. It’s a magical place for a wedding.

Amazing Wedding

We had the best experience with Imperia Lake Union! We postponed our wedding multiple times, and throughout the entire experience Tasia and JJ were wonderful to work with. They know exactly what they are doing, and all of our guests told us they had an amazing time. The food is amazing here as well. I would absolutely recommend them for weddings.

Simply perfect

This venue was absolutely perfect! Tasia and JJ were on top of everything and the food was utterly amazing. Our guests just kept raving about it too.
We had to postpone our wedding due to COVID and they were so supportive and made the change of date smooth.
I hate planning so we chose this venue specifically because almost everything is done in house.

Florals from Imperia Lake Union (off-site wedding)

We were married at the MV Skansonia and contracted with JJ at Imperia for our florals. Imperia—formerly Lake Union Cafe—and the Skansonia have a history together, so there is a level of familiarity with the venue that was valuable. We were also a couple that rescheduled multiple times due to covid, and JJ was wonderful in her flexibility and accommodating our changing dates (and visions!).

JJ arrived early to set up florals, so by the time we got to the venue, the arch was decorated, bouquets and bouts were ready, and we were blown away by how elegant and beautiful everything looked.

Pricing was competitive, service was fantastic, and we kept to a minimal floral plan (bouquets/bouts, small centerpieces, floral display at entrance, and arch). I would entrust JJ and Imperia with a more elaborate floral plan if you can afford it, and if you’re looking for a balance between budget and beauty, Imperia would be a great option to explore. We plan to stop by the renovated Imperia cafe sometime soon to see the space and thank JJ in person—we had a great experience and would definitely recommend her work!

Incredible!

Imperia Lake Union made our wedding experience absolutely magical. The event coordinators, Tasia and JJ, were organized and quick to answer all of our wedding-related questions. The venue is gorgeous (so gorgeous, in fact, that it really doesn't need much else in the way of decor), the food is dynamite (our guests raved about their meal), and the quality of service is impeccable. One of our favorite aspects of Imperia Lake Union is that the dance floor is front and center! If you're looking to throw a fun, beautiful, dance-filled party, Imperia Lake Union is the spot.

8"+ of snow & Seattle shuts down? No problem!

This review is long overdue! This past year has been so stressful for everyone, so I just have to say this. In the middle of the unexpected, you can't go wrong going with Lake Union Cafe! It will be one less stressful thing on your list.

How do I know this? We got married in February of 2019 during the weekend of 8"+ snow in Seattle. The whole city had practically shut down and barely anything was open. Tasia and the team were there despite the terrible weather. If anything went wrong or if anyone was unhappy due to the inclement weather, it was not apparent. They were so professional and carried on as if it were totally normal to have a snow storm in Seattle! They assured us in the week leading up to the wedding that barring some unforeseen all-out catastrophe, everyone on their team would be braving the snow to make our reception happen.

It was a magical, lovely event and we were so grateful for their willingness to stick it out. All of our guests raved and said it was one of the best weddings they had been to. The hospitality, the lights, the intimate environment, and the snow were all magical!

Some other notable factors:

1. Location with character AND easy planning. We got engaged in early November and decided to set the wedding date for early February. Neither of us wanted to tackle the "plan for a year and hope it goes perfectly" approach. It was a no-brainer to go with Lake Union Cafe as we wanted a reception location with character, great food, and also wanted to focus on the engagement rather than wrangling vendors and tiny details in a few short months. We immediately loved the vintage feel and the warmth of the venue. By choosing an all-inclusive location, we took a lot of stress off the wedding planning process and I do not regret that at all. (Worth noting though: I was never the person who dreamed about my wedding and never had a vision board for my wedding . I just knew that I wanted to be at a venue that was classy but would be comfortable, warm, and hospitable for any guest who showed up.)

2. Super clear process and costs. We really appreciated how transparent every step of the process was and we were not surprised by any hidden costs. Every invoice was updated by Tasia or Taylor after any change and expectations were very clear.

3. The service and food was excellent. Our guests had an amazing time, loved the food, and there was no question of what to do and when. Sometimes guests feel lost at weddings and that certainly didn't seem to happen at LUC. We did a his and hers cocktail hour and then beer and wine for the remainder of the night. It was the perfect mix!

4. The dance floor is in a perfect location and makes it really easy for people to pop in and out. It made it feel more organic and accessible than a dance floor at the front of the room. It seemed like a good third to a half the guests were dancing at any given moment. (Although I also credit our DJ, Steve Rivera for that! It was an amazing mix of music and environment.)

My Knights In Shinning Armor

Lake Union Cafe and their staff were my knights in shinning armor! My husband (omg!) and I were one of the many couples affected by the Monte Cristo Ballroom closure- luckily we had a few months to recoup and replan. Luckily Lake Union was free on our date and once we signed we were able to hit the ground running and plan an AMAZING event. They answered all my questions quickly and were very accommodating when I asked for things like "can we play the superbowl after the ceremony"? Day of: the venue was gorgeous and the food was delicious. Once the day began I was able to just let go and see all my plans unfold and it was magical. I have nothing but positive things to say about my wedding day and I attribute that to all my vendors but I definitely couldn't have done it without LUC.

Blew our expectations right out of the water!

I cannot say enough about Lake Union Cafe. It was not on our original list of venues to look at but a coworker told me about it and we stopped in one day while we were in the area and decided it was perfect. From the first tour, to the night of our wedding, everything has been positively wonderful and Tasia and her team is an absolute JOY to work with! They are so responsive and helpful and provide you all the tools you need to plan your wedding at their venue. We LOVED that it was an all-in type place and everything was already on site. There was no fussing with rentals or table arrangements or any of that, it was all there, and it made our process just that much easier. The onsite bakery and florist was a breeze, and we were so happy with how everything turned out. JJ's floral designs were just gorgeous, and she was such a pleasure to work with. She ended up being our coordinator on the day of and we just loved her. She was so cheerful and flexible and fun, and she kept everything light and easy going, and I couldn't have been more appreciative of that. The FOOD was unbelievably good. We got rave after rave about how amazing it was, and that it was the best meal they've ever had at a wedding. We were told repeatedly throughout the night that ours was the most beautiful wedding someone had been to, and that is high praise. Our wedding was gorgeous, it was fun, and JJ somehow managed to bring together all my ideas and designs and choices into something truly magical, and it far exceeded every expectation I had. I could not have imagined a better event and a better team to work with, and we are so very grateful to everything they did for us. I would not hesitate to recommend this venue to anyone else who is considering them. They are phenomenal!

Would Get Married Here Again

While we won't be having another wedding, we definitely would do it here again!

* The staff were incredibly responsive and open to our questions throughout the whole planning process. A day of coordinator is also included, so that took a lot of stress/anxiety away.
* The venue space is absolutely gorgeous and requires very little additional decor (if any).
* Food was amazing (moist chicken)!! Our guests keep telling us how much they loved the food. LUC also made sure we actually got to eat by plating up appetizers and dinner for us.
* So flexible. They provide a lot of amenities in-house (at super reasonable prices), but also allow you to bring a lot of your own stuff if you choose (alcohol, dessert, florals/decor).

Wonderful in every way!!

I cannot say enough great things about this venue and their staff! We had an Art Deco/Great Gatsby themed wedding at the Lake Union Cafe and it was absolutely incredible. We had considered having this theme for our wedding, and once we toured this historic venue, we knew it would be perfect! From our first visit, we were greeted and given a very informative and friendly tour of their beautiful space. They have very well laid out pricing information, and they are extremely responsive and answer any and all questions. It is very clear they are experienced and their professionalism is outstanding. Throughout the planning process, the LUC team kept in touch with us and helped us handle all the details. Having the venue, food, and dessert all from the same place was amazing and so valuable! JJ was the coordinator for our rehearsal and wedding day and she kept in contact with me, the DJ, the photographer, and our florist/decorator throughout the evening. Having her there was a life saver! She took SO much stress away from me! The LUC team is amazing to work with and it is clear they truly care about making sure your wedding day is fantastic! The guests all raved about how beautiful the venue was, and how awesome the food was! I would 100% recommend this venue and their team!!! THANK YOU LUC!

They take care of it all!

The staff at Lake Union Cafe took care of all my needs! The day of could not have gone smoother, they have the timeline nailed down and makes it so all members of the bridal party can relax and enjoy the event. Food was great! I would highly recommend!

Perfect Experience

We got married at LUC last weekend and have nothing but good things to say! They handled our catering, bar, dessert, and flowers. Taylor coordinated our event day-of and she was an absolute dream to work with; she answered every single question, kept everyone on schedule & in the right places, and was such a calming presence to have around. All of our guests raved about the dinner and desserts, and my bouquet was absolutely gorgeous. I would 100% recommend LUC to anybody looking to host a wedding or any other event.

Stress-Free and Stunning Venue

Lake Union Café was a dream to work with for our big day. Tasia ensured we didn’t have to do much to make our wedding a success but also worked with us on things we did want to do and accommodated our requests.

On the day of the wedding, Taylor ensured everything went smoothly. I didn't have to worry about any scheduling or where we had to be. She guided us throughout the evening. Our guests raved about the food, especially the pork shanks and mushroom ravioli, and the natural beauty of the space.

Words will never be able to fully describe how wonderful it was to have Lake Union Cafe as our wedding & reception venue! The entire staff made the planning process an absolute breeze! We loved how we could book the flowers, linens, cake, food and alcohol all through the venue and also have a day of coordinator included! My husband and I are both full time working professionals and have minimal time to plan. LUC took the time at each meeting to make sure we would get exactly what we want. We loved how easy it was to book a band as well! The free parking for our guests was fantastic as well as the candle package we booked to make our evening winter wedding stunning! All of our guests raved about the delicous food and cake and LOVED the passed appetizers during the cocktail hour. For most of our guests they said it was the best wedding they have been to due to the beauty of it but also the intimate venue space and quality within every element!!! If you are searching for a wedding venue PLEASE do yourself a favor and give LUC a visit!

If I could give this venue 10 stars, or even 100 stars, I would.
My now husband and I had almost 3 months to plan and hold a wedding. We checked out a few venues and all of them did not meet our criteria. When we stepped into Lake Union Cafe (our last venue we viewed) everything was PERFECT. We signed day of our viewing because this place was too good to be true. We read the reviews and we saw only 5 star reviews. And we were able to experience the 5+ star reviews as we worked with them.
We had the pleasure of mostly working with Anita (it's a team of 3 AMAZING ladies, they were all really wonderful, talented and so incredibly helpful oh my goodness, they all really impressed me). Anita is adorable, she has the cutest laugh, super easy to talk to and work with. We had a tea vendor come in for the wedding to serve tea in stead of alcohol, and even he made a point to mention to us after our wedding how incredibly kind, and easy going Anita was. When you are planning a wedding, you are at your wits end. Having someone make sure the day-of is running smoothly, and on time is really crucial. Anita was more than that right person for all of it, everyone of my friends who met her on the day-of absolutely loved her, and her easy going nature in no way meant our schedule was not met on time. The grace with which she kept things running on time was really admirable.

Lake Union Cafe is absolutely where I would want to hold my wedding again. The team works with your budget, they genuinely want to help you throw your perfect wedding, their chef is top notch (seriously the food was so amazing, I highly encourage you to try their food tasting when considering them for your wedding. You cannot, and I mean, cannot go wrong with their food), and their baker, wow. We barely had any cake left at the end of the night, everyone LOVED the cake. The venue is so beautiful that even if you did not decorate much, your guests will still be wow-ed. I sincerely loved LUC. And so will you!

We LOVED working with LUC for our wedding! We were planning a wedding from across the country and Tasia made it seem like we were there throughout the entire process. She set up phone meetings, allowed my parents to come by and do a site visit, and even scheduled a special food tasting for when we were home for the holidays. Leading up to the wedding, Tasia and her team made it seem like we weren't even having really intricate planning phone calls--we were just casually chatting on the phone with our friends on a Tuesday night.

Tasia kept track of every little detail, allowing us to spend the time leading up to the wedding focused on other things. The day of the wedding went absolutely seamlessly thanks to Tasia and her amazing team. We still marvel at how we can't think of a single thing that went wrong on our wedding day and we know it is specifically because of the team at Lake Union Cafe. Thank you for making our day so special--we will never forget it!

We found this place by doing an internet search for affordable venues in Seattle. We were able to take a tour on the same day, and it was amazing. When you walk in, you feel like you are in an upscale restaurant. If you are visiting when the weather is nice, you can go to the back wall/window and see the water. The bride and groom's suites are fun for pictures, and you can sign the wall so your event will last forever.

We paid for the extra votives - so worth it since we got married in the fall. This venue offers SO MUCH in house - flowers, food, alcohol, dessert, and day of help. Everyone here is SO nice - and their response time to all questions is awesome. They even send reminder emails to you if you forget to get back to them and are very polite even when you are the one who is dropping the ball :) We did signature drinks and they were able to accommodate that and any suggested changes, they ran by us first.

Everyone loved our venue and the pictures are amazing.

The only thing I would suggest that future brides know is that if you are getting married on a Friday, feel free to bring in your decorations on Thursday when you are there for the rehearsal. I did not realize I could do that and that would have been really helpful.

I hope to return here as a wedding guest :)

My wedding was 11/4/17 and I️ wouldn’t change anything about it for the world! Tasia was amazing as our event planner through the entire affair, JJ did an amazing job with our flowers and Anita was fantastic as our day of coordinator. The food was great and our Pear almond cake was delicious! This venue is all inclusive, so you don’t have to stress about finding vendors to communicate continuously with. As long as you are responsive and open with the event coordinator, everything will be exactly as you want it! I️ would pick this place over and over again!

We had initially thought about eloping due to our lack of desire to plan a big local wedding but I can honestly say after having our wedding at LUC last weekend that we made the correct choice by having it there. All of the staff was very helpful, supportive and professional from the first email inquiry to the follow up email a few days after our wedding. I highly recommend this venue for everyone, especially those who don't want to spend a lot of time planning. Their staff, venue and setup make it very easy to have a wedding (or any other private dining party) here. The venue is very pretty and the candle package they offer was beautiful. The food and bar were great as well! I honestly have no constructive feedback for LUC, everything went very smoothly! We would like to especially thank Anita for the detailed ceremony and reception script she wrote during rehearsal as well as the day of coordination she provided. Her organization and calm demeanor were very appreciated on the day of! :-)

We are so excited about our upcoming wedding in 2018. I originally came in to get more information about their cakes not realizing they were a private venue as well! After coming in & meeting Tasia I was hooked! Not only did I get the information on the cakes like I originally wanted, she also offer a tour & was respectful of my time. I then went home & was so excited to come back & share the information with my future husband. We did the cake tasting in our home with our 7 year old who loved helping. We decided to come back & do another tour & ask more questions. It was very easy to schedule, we were able to get in that weekend easily enough! Tasia was AMAZING! She was so knowledgeable & easy to talk with. I had TONS of questions & she patient & able to answer them all. THANK YOU we can't wait to celebrate our big day!

LUC is such a beautiful, unique space. From the beautiful marquee, to the supper club booths, the incredible chandeliers and the amazing candle package. Because the space is so beautiful on its own, it required very limited decoration -- a huge plus. Tasia, Melissa and JJ were all amazing to work with. They were so nice/informative and helped us to make each decision. They also worked well with all of our other vendors.

We started with two tray passed appetizers (the pork was amazing), followed by a buffet dinner, cake/cupcakes + late night snack (chicken and waffles). The food got rave reviews -- particularly the butternut squash ravioli and the salmon. I personally wasn't a fan of the chicken and waffles but my friends loved them! :)

We also got our cake from the LUC bakery, since LUC charges a pretty high fee if you bring in a cake. Luckily, the cake + cupcakes were incredible! We had an assortment of chocolate salted caramel, lemon raspberry, creme brulee, and chocolate hazelnut. We had a large group of gluten intolerant folks and both the bakery and kitchen staff were really accommodating in making gluten free versions of items and labeling food clearly.

My favorite part was the dance floor. It's a little smaller than other spaces we looked at, which made it always feel full. There were also tables surrounding the floor, which made it easy for folks to feel like they were part of the action without being on the dance floor when they needed a break.

Finally, while not inexpensive, LUC was awesome, and Tasia was willing to work with our budget to help us figure out where we could cut costs and save. They even threw in prosecco as part of our beer/wine offering! Thank you Tasia and LUC!!!! :)

We tried over ten flavors from Lake Union Cafe and they were ALL incredible. We had the grand marnier and chocolate chip cake for our wedding and not only did it look EXACTLY how I'd wanted it, but so many guests commented on how delicious it was. It truly was the most delicious cake I've ever had. My new husband, who isn't really a cake person, even loved it. I myself am a cake fanatic and can say hands-down this is the best cake I've ever had. The price and the quality were amazing. I plan to order more cakes from them for our anniversaries to come!!

If you want the perfect wedding experience...look no further than LUC. We had our ceremony and reception at LUC on 7/9/17 and the whole experience from beginning to end was flawless. We were planning this wedding from afar (we live in Utah) and Tasia, Melissa and their team made everything so easy. They were quick to respond and Tasia even did a Facetime planning call with us. They also made time to meet with us when we flew in to take care of the final arrangements. We showed a short film right before our ceremony and Tasia arranged all the extra equipment necessary to play the movie and coordinated with the dj to get the sound quality right where we wanted it. Tasia recommended the DJ as well, and he was great. Definitely consider using him if you're doing a DJ. I used to do wedding planning for several years at a resort, and these ladies are on top of their game. The whole staff is courteous, professional and totally accommodating and LUC truly can do it all.

The cake was done perfectly to our specifications and was delicious. We had a very specific, art deco cake design that we wanted and it turned out great. And the food! Our guests were raving about how good everything was, from the tray passed apps to the main course. We did the open bar option, which honestly is a killer deal, and they were wonderul about accommodating our signature bride and groom cocktails. Tasia and her staff kept the event moving and executed our timeline perfectly. LUC truly gave us the wedding of our dreams!!

We had a fantastic experience with Melissa and Tasia at LUC. We had a fairly tight timeframe (4 months), and were lucky enough to book a Friday in May. Melissa and Tasia were nothing but friendly, helpful, and responsive in both person and email. They worked seamlessly with our vendors (a photobooth, DJ, and photographer) and were open to requests we had (a wedding pinata!).

They also provided Day-of coordinator services, which were invaluable. If you're looking for a venue that's as stress-free as possible, choose LUC. The interior is also beautiful enough that with the candle package they offered, we only brought in flowers, table numbers, and a seating chart. They offer an in-house flower package but we had previous plans, although the package seemed affordable and very pretty.

They also have on-site catering (required) and cake services (optional). Our guests loved the food (definitely go with with the fancy mac n cheese), and we brought in an outside cake for a reasonable fee of $150.

We also went with the open bar option, which was super fun. They provided a "signature" on the rocks margarita for us, which our guests loved. The bride's prep room is huge and lovely, FYI. We didn't spend much time in the groom's room as we had our ceremony elsewhere and had a reception-only event at LUC for about 80 people. We only used the main room, not the terrace, and it was the perfect size for a 80 to 100 person wedding. I've been to LUC for a larger wedding, which it also accommodates well. We can't say enough great things! Highly recommended.

We had both our wedding and reception here and it was a wonderful experience. The biggest thing for us was how accommodating they were to us. We changed plans several times, asked so many questions and had so many requests and LUC met them all. They even stayed late for our rehearsal. Honestly, we are so appreciative to them for their help and responsiveness.

We had an incredible wedding reception here! It's a little pricey, but oh so worth the money! The food was delicious (OMG the Mac and cheese), as was the cake. We did catering/bar, bakery, and floral all in house so we didn't have to worry about clean up of those items. The coordinators were professional, responsive, and extremely helpful. They gave us great recommendations for the DJ and photobooth.

Overall, the entire planning process of the wedding was smooth and stress-free thanks to the lovely LUC employees. We had a LUC coordinator there the night of who helped us keep the reception flowing smoothly, which was much appreciated. We couldn't imagine trying to handle that ourselves. We were able to focus on ourselves and the guests and just enjoy the moment.

Also, the location itself is stunning. If you're having your reception in the evening or at night, the candle package is worth it - trust me! :)

We got married in April 2016 and held both our ceremony and reception at Lake Union Cafe, and we could not be any happier with our choice! We wanted to have a low-stress day, and LUC provided exactly that. The venue itself is very pretty, so there's not pressure to provide an exorbitant amount of decorations. The staff was incredibly professional yet friendly, and the entire day was executed perfectly. We definitely expected SOMETHING to go wrong, but everything went by smoothly without a single hitch. The food was absolutely delicious, and we ordered a cutting cake and mini cupcakes from the bakery which were also awesome. Many of our guests told us it was one of the best weddings they had ever been to. At the end of the night the wait staff was extremely flexible and accommodated us when we wanted to add an extra hour to the night. We have nothing but positive things to say about LUC!

I reached out to LUC Bakery to do our wedding cake, which was a 3-tiered, naked styled cake, topped with berries. My consultation with Kevin went smoothly! He was easy to walk with and clearly answered any questions that I had. Communication between LUC and I was great! When I wanted to add another tier to our cake, they responded quickly and made the change on our order form. We were so pleased with our cake! It arrived on time and looked beautiful! Not to mention, delicious! We went with their pear almond cake with Bavarian cream mousse and it was delicious! Our guests were pleased with the cake and so was I.

I just got married at the Lake Union Cafe a few days ago and it was a fabulous experience. The venue is beautiful and the event ran like clockwork. I've never planned a big event before and the event coordinator, Tasia, made the process very smooth. I have a medical condition that makes it difficult for me to stand for very long and they were very accommodating of this. After a year of planning, I expected a few things to go wrong on the big day, but nothing did. I would absolutely recommend the Lake Union Cafe to anyone who was getting married or just looking to host a large event.

Many people said that it was the best wedding they'd ever been to. I never thought a wedding could be so stress-free! Everything was spot on! They totally delivered. Total pros. Excellent value. The venue was gorgeous and seemed to look even more beautiful that day than I had ever seen it before. BEST cake I've ever eaten in my life.
My only wish was that I would have left with a plate of food in hand at the end of the night. You NEVER get to eat at your own wedding and I was absolutely starving when we left! A to-go box should be policy for all venues! :) Or at least a nice touch.

Lake Union Cafe is an amazing venue!

We had a small budget, but a winter wedding, and we weren't seeing a way to make the two agree. Indoor location, caterers, decorations, place settings... it all seemed like we would have to get uncomfortably creative or spend way more than we had to work with.

Then we found LUC! The location is gorgeous, the food is amazing and it's staffed by some of the most considerate, professional people I've ever worked with. They rolled with all our requests, responded to our messages quickly and thoroughly, and were incredibly helpful when it was clear we had no idea what we were doing. I've spent the last several months singing their praises to anyone who will listen.

We could not have chosen a more wonderful venue to celebrate our New Years Eve wedding! From the beginning all of the staff was so accommodating. Vicki did an amazing job on the flowers-she really took our theme and brought it to the next level. Kevin in the bakery was so easy to work with, even when I waited until the last minute to choose all of my desserts!

Tasia and Beth were both SUCH a joy to work with, all of my wedding guests were raving about the service level, and I am still on cloud 9 with how easy the process was. My guest count was about 180, so it was a wee bit crowded, but having an evening winter wedding, we wouldn't have wanted it any other way. Cheers to the entire staff, and an event we will cherish forever!

I could not have picked a better location for my wedding. I had never been there prior to my first visit but I had heard rave reviews from friends who had been there for a wedding. They were right! In my opinion, the typical ballroom elsewhere, is just that. Typical. You have to do a lot to make it feel special and unique. However, you do not have that issue with LUC. It's perfectly appointed in every way. It is not so large that guests get lost. The art deco setting provides a very warm atmosphere that guests loved. In fact, you do not really much decor to have a nice setting but the accommodating staff will work with you to make it your own, as well.

When my husband and I first came to LUC for a tour, it was under different management. A couple months later, I began working with Tasia and Beth. They are fantastic people to work with. Tasia knows how to keep a bride even-keeled and relaxed. When I found out that they did not have my accent wedding color on hand for the chair sashes and table runners, Tasia made sure they ordered them and had them for my wedding! I was ecstatic. Tasia kept me on top of the details throughout the planning process as we narrowed in on food selections, who is doing what, when and where. She and Beth showed immense patience and care as my wedding party and I set up the decor throughout the venue, before and after the rehearsal. It is my understanding that I had brought in more stuff than anyone else but they were great. Just know that you are responsible for set up and tear down of anything you bring in but they will help where they can.

Flowers - Vicki worked with my vision and budget and I was blown away by the beauty of the flowers and the bouquets. "In-house" does NOT mean "cutting corners" or "compromise." They deliver!

Cake - Same comments can be made for their bakery. Kevin is awesome and the guests loved the Pumpkin Spiced Chai cake!

Food - Goes without saying, the guests loved the food.

Lake Union Cafe did our wedding desserts. We had an array: cutting cake, cupcakes, and mini cheesecakes. For our cutting cake I sent two pictures and with just those two, they created an exact replica of what I wanted. It was stunning. The cupcakes and cheesecakes were also something people talked about all night. I couldn't have been happier. Thank you!
In terms of the food, everything was beautiful and tasty. The appetizers were good size and there was more than enough food for everyone.

We used Lake Union Cafe to make a Grooms Cake for my son's wedding. I met with Kevin in March. After seeing Steel Magnolias and seeing a red velvet armidillo groom's cake, I have wanted to order a grooms cake ever since. I decided on a 3 dimensional cougar cake (the animal - not an older woman) - it is part of an on-going family joke. The cake was AMAZING. It was so much more than I had hoped for. The detail was amazing and it was the hit of the rehearsal dinner! Everyone has a picture of it! My son cut off the head to save for his first year anniversary :) . Kevin is an artist - this thing had teeth, whiskers, and even the tongue was life like! I couldn't have been more pleased or satified.
Our food on the SKANSONIA was also done by the LUC and was outstanding.

Our daughter was married & had her wedding reception at Lake Union Cafe last week, August 21, 2015!
Everything was absolutely BEAUTIFUL! We bought the all inclusive package, venue, candles, flowers,cake, food! Leading up to the wedding we met with LUC staff members to plan out the wedding & reception!
Everything turned out perfect! The food was amazing, her cake was both beautiful & delishes, the flowers were GORGEOUS!
The staff was AWESOME! Beth, you carried out Jennifer's vision & wedding dream PERFECTLY! I can not say enough good things about Beth & all the help she provided for our family on this incredible night!
There is not one thing we would have changed! Everything went flawlessly. All our family had to do was walk in & enjoy this amazing experience!

I am SO glad we chose LUC for our May 30th wedding. The venue is beautiful needing minimal additional decorations, and the event coordinators make planning a breeze.
Now the food. Best wedding catering, EVER. All of our guests were wowed by the food, from the passed Gorgonzola beef appetizers, to the entree, down to the dinner rolls. I need to get a makeover and pretend to be in the market to get married, just so I can go to their food tasting again. Their cupcakes and cheesecake are also amazing, best cake to frosting ratio and not too sweet frosting. I've been to two other weddings at different venues where the bride and groom ordered cupcakes from LUCs custom bakery, and both times the cupcakes were incredible.
The event coordinators were always quick to respond to email and met with us in person as much as we needed to in order to plan our big day. They were very organized and provided very clear and helpful info. JJ our day of coordinator was amazing. I would have been lost without her. She met with our DJ first thing when he arrived to set up to plan the events of the evening with him and made the night go by so smoothly. I'll recommend LUC to everyone I know in the market for a venue or bakery.

Only negative - it's in a old Seattle building, so their lovely Art Deco vintage decor also means their ventilation is also vintage. Bring a coat in the winter and dress light if we get lucky and it's a hot day in Seattle in the summer.

Our cake was so cute! We worked with their coordinating staff and baker to create a custom cake. It was really easy to work with the bakery. Their staff is very friendly and helpful and we had the opportunity to sample ALL of their cakes. It was the best half hour consultation I can remember, because they must’ve had 24 different flavors of awesome.

We went with a peaches and cream and vanilla fondant cake. Also, we sent them a lot of photo references and notes for sweet and whimsical cake with fish, stars and flowers. That sounds like a strange combination but I had a dream and they certainly delivery a lovely and delicious cake. I want it all of the time. It was easy to email them questions and they were incredibly patient with my requests.

On top of creating a beautiful 30-slice cake for us, they also made three kinds of pie: pumpkin, banana cream and apple. We thought we’d gotten MORE than enough pie for 100 people but there was nothing left! They're that good.

We shopped around Seattle looking for a wedding cake and landed on Lake Union Café; their prices were reasonable, about the going rate for the city and we were more than happy with their selection of cake flavors and additional desserts. I don't even like cake and thought several of theirs were wonderful! You can tell they use natural ingredients and make everything from scratch.

The Lake Union Cafe was the perfect venue for our wedding, and we couldn't have been happier with them! Kristen and Lauren were both such a huge help in our planning process, and the catering staff there were amazing on the big day! From beginning to end, our whole experience was fantastic, and we truely had the perfect wedding. Thanks so much LUC!

We could not have asked for a better experience working with Lake Union Cafe for our wedding! From start to finish, we found the staff, especially Lauren, to be responsive, helpful, friendly, and supportive as we got all the details arranged. The day of our wedding was absolutely perfect and we're still getting compliments on how amazing everything about the venue was, including the cake, food, ambiance, and service of the waitstaff and bartenders. Our only regret is not eating more of our dinner because the food was just that delicious! Thank you Lake Union Cafe for helping make our wedding the best ever!

We got married at Lake Union Café & Custom Bakery on 10/3/14 and it was AMAZING. Nothing went wrong, they were highly professional and extremely helpful. They did our cake as well, and it was perfect and looked EXACTLY like the picture I gave them, plus it was DELICIOUS. We did the pear/almond cake with pear/almond buttercream frosting. Lauren was very helpful and instrumental in making sure things went right. I'm so happy we found Lake Union Café to have our wedding at. I can't imagine it being anywhere else. We are still receiving compliments on the venue from friends and family, telling us the food and venue are the best they ever had/seen at a wedding before. The food was SO GOOD! We had the beef tenderloins, butternut squash ravioli, and panzanella salad, not to mention a spread of cheeses, bread, fruits......

The Lake Union Café & Bakery catered our wedding and made us an awesome cake. We heard many compliments throughout the event, but the most frequent were about the food and cake. We went with the Hibachi beef, golden potatoes, and mixed green salad for the buffet. We also had tray passed appetizers of Pistachio encrusted pork and yam crab cakes. I normally hate yams, but those crab cakes were awesome! We also had the peaches 'n cream cake with butter cream frosting. It took us a few cake tastings before we found it, but once we tried it we knew it was the one for us. The tasting events that the LUC puts on and their partnership with the Skansonia made our planning easy. I would recommend anyone looking for great food and reasonable prices (for Seattle) consider the LUC.

Lauren has been incredible to work with while planning our wedding. She is responsive and definitely an expert wedding coordinator. She offers helpful suggestions while also being accommodating to our specific needs.

Thank you Lake Union Cafe for helping to make our wedding ceremony and reception perfect!! No detail was overlooked, and the staff was incredibly easy, friendly, and fun to work with! Lauren, was our LUC wedding coordinator and she made the entire process stress free! She was quick and responsive with emails which was much appreciated as this was a destination wedding for us. She helped guide us through through the cake selection, food selection, rehearsal and day of events. She had drinks waiting for us after the ceremony, food at our table when we sat down, and packed up "to-go" food for us for after the wedding. Speaking of the dinner, our family and friends are still talking about how delicious the food was.. almost three months later. I HIGHLY recommend the Lake Union Cafe to any couple searching for a beautiful and stress-free wedding location!

Holding my wedding at the Lake Union Cafe was the best decision I made, short of choosing to say yes to my now husband. The team there was courteous, helpful, and experienced. Tasia especially was able to help answer questions that I am sure were outside of her job description. It was the best day of my life so far, and I owe a lot of that to the team there. I got so many compliments on the food and the beautiful venue.

Afterwards, my husband and I said that we want to get married again, just so we can have another event there.

We chose the Lake Union Cafe for our venue because they offer the convenience of having the ceremony & reception all in one location, the vintage style was appealing, and we'd read great reports on the food.

The venue & staff exceeded all our hopes and expectations. Despite a change in staff, their new on-site coordinator picked up where the prior staff had left off without any issues whatsoever. Tasia is professional, personable, detail-oriented, flexible and just fantastic to work with. She guided us through our rehearsal, set up all of my futzy decor even better than I could have possibly imagined, and shepherded us through our big day with calm, aplomb, and grace.

The food was even better than when we'd had our tasting back in January, and was exceedingly complimented by our guests in the days after the wedding. This includes the pies we had for our dessert, which were simply delicious. Oscar, who took over after Tasia departed for the evening, was just as helpful, sending us off with boxes of food as well as pie.

I would highly recommend Lake Union Cafe. Their business is weddings and choosing this venue means you'll get professional, knowledgeable service, great food, and a lovely setting that the coordinators will willingly decorate with whatever you bring in.

This place makes fantastic cakes and cupcakes. Probably one of the most talked about thing at our reception. Not only was their food great but they were amazingly easy to work with and we sill definitely be using them for any catering needs in the future.

Our story with Victoria and Lake Union Cafe & Bakery began with us viewing their event space as a possible venue for our wedding and reception. Unfortunately, we went with another venue, but Victoria won us over and we couldn't say no to trying them out for our cakes.

Needless to say, we loved so many of the cake options we tasted, it was hard to choose when it came to the big day! That's why we chose three (3!) different cakes :) Not only were all three fresh, tasted amazing and were exactly what we ordered, but they looked EXACTLY like what we imagined.

In addition to the amazing cakes, we used LUC&B for our wedding favors. The truffles they hand craft are simply heaven, and we will carefully be parceling out the remaining pieces to make them last as long as possible :)

Victoria and the team in the bakery are absolutely awesome and we look forward to using them for future events!

When we first decided to start planning a wedding reception, my husband and I assumed it would be a matter of picking a venue, writing a check, and waiting for everything to fall into place. After talking to a couple of venues, we quickly learned exactly how much work was involved in these things. Flowers? Menus? Set-up and clean-up? I’m sure there was more, but I pretty much stopped listening after that…and then along came Lake Union Café.

From our first meeting with Victoria, I knew we were in good hands. She assured us that we could have as much or as little control over the event as we wanted, which is exactly what we wanted to hear. We opted for the latter (i.e. little control), and so she basically took care of everything…event set-up, clean-up, decorating, flower assistance, etc. She helped us decide the menu, the layout of the event space, and was very responsive to our questions and concerns throughout the process.

We did want more control over some parts of the event, and the level of accommodation provided by Victoria and Jimmie was incredible. Really, incredible. They responded to virtually every request we made with, “No problem. We’ll make it happen.” It was very important that my mom provide the wedding cake for the event. As she was flying in from out of town, Victoria offered use of the café’s refrigerator and freezer space to store my mom’s preparation material. The day before the event, Victoria went so far as to introduce my mom to the café’s pastry chef in order to coordinate shared use of the kitchen. This flexibility is something that definitely sets the Lake Union Café apart from other venues we considered which were bound by rigid policies and procedures, and helped as achieve the wedding reception we’d envisioned.

Beautiful, professional, flexible, and responsive! We worked Jimmy, and he was amazing. He really made us feel comfortable during the whole process, and was an all star on our wedding night! The venue was glowing in the candle light during our wedding night, and Jimmy guided us through it with ease! After all the preparation that goes into that night, we were lucky enough to be able to sit back and enjoy it because of the great work of the Lake Union Cafe and its staff!

Victoria and Kathleen worked with us to help us create THE perfect wedding cake. We didn't want anything too over the top, and never felt pressured to order more than what we needed. Victoria helped us carve our ideal wedding cake from pictures off of Pinterest. They are very tech savvy, which is great since most of our correspondences were via email. I highly recommend this vendor!!!

PS. We got the cookies and cream cake which tastes just like the ice cream, except better since it doesn't melt!!

I recently had my ceremony and reception at LUC and I can honestly tell you that it was the best decision ever. Victoria and Jimmie are top quality wedding coordinators. Our wedding was pretty intricate and I had spent years collecting vintage items (hundreds of items). I dropped off all of our decorations and let Jimmie work his magic. He seriously helped create one of the most beautiful events I have ever seen. I honestly was so taken back and speechless when I walked into the room. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Jimmie and the work that he did. I have received over a dozen phone calls from family saying how wonderful and helpful he was. Victoria is the most hilarious person I know. We hit it off right away. We have laughed and laughed and laughed through this entire planning process. You will absolutely love her just as much as you will love Jimmie and the work that he does. The food was unbelievable. Voted best wedding food ever by every single guest at our wedding. Not only did it taste like it came from a 5star restaurant, it was beautiful. I'm pretty sure I said "Holy Sh*t" when I turned the corner and say how beautiful it all was displayed. Jimmie had my high maintenance groomsmen playing cards and drinking beer, before the ceremony. They were totally in good hands and we were all very well taken care of from start to finish. The bartenders were unbelievable! I have them on video having a great (yet professional) time with our wedding guests. Everyone loved them. Finally, I need to talk about our wedding cake. We had a very nontraditional wedding cake and had Kat make something that you would see on "Cake Boss." It was out of this world! Honestly, no one knew it was a cake at first....it was that real looking. It was our favorite part about our wedding. Hands down the best wedding ever because we had the best people helping us. The best!

Wow is the best way I can describe this venue and the service we received there. Dann and Victoria rock and with out them our wedding would have turned out half as good as them. Would highly recommend them.

Lake Union Cafe provided the most beautiful looking and best tasting cake ever! Their customer service is excellent! And the price was more than reasonable. I would never go anywhere else for a wedding cake. I am the mother of the bride and attended the cake tasting with my daughter.

My husband and I looked at so many venues it made my head spin, but when we stepped inside Lake Union Café, I suspected we had found the one – and when we met with Dann and Victoria, we knew it was meant to be! I have nothing but good things to say about LUC – in my opinion, it has more personality and class than any other venue I’ve seen, the layout is perfect (especially for smaller weddings), the plated dinners are AMAZING… but what really sets LUC apart is the staff. Victoria was instrumental in our planning, the catering staff was so helpful and kind, and Dann… well… I’m in love with Dann. I’ve VERY type A, but I couldn’t have been happier to hand the reins over to him! He executed my vision and plans to perfection and made me laugh the whole time. I was able to let go and just enjoy my wedding, which was PRICELESS.

And speaking of price – there isn’t a better deal to be had. It’s not cheap, but considering what you get (food, staff, set-up/take-down, a day-of coordinator, a venue that needs very little décor, and the ability to have a stress-free day), it simply can not be beat.
