Lauren and her crew are amazing! Took great care of us through the whole day! Amazing food! Amazing work, Amazing place! Lauren was so helpful on our wedding day, it rained and I was so sad that we couldn’t have the ceremony by the lake but she made the back up plan just perfect! She helped us stay on track of everything we needed to do and was so sweet! We love them all! -

Beautiful Venue and Amazing Team!
The team at Lake House did an outstanding job when it came to making our day easy! We felt so special and we would redo it all over again if we could! The food is delicious, the venue is absolutely BEAUTIFUL, and the team really works hard to make sure you are happy and good to go. Lauren and the entire team were very responsive during planning and made the whole process a breeze. They had plenty of suggestions for other vendors that helped make our selection quick, and they take part in booking them for you as well. Thank y'all so much for making this day so special! -

Absolutely amazing!
Lauren was absolutly amazing to work with. Our whole wedding planning was made so easy because of her. The Lake House is the perfect Reception Center, the food was very good and all of our guests were impressed with the menue.
Lauren and her staff created a beautiful and went above and beyond our expectations. Thank you Lauren for everything. We could not have chosen a better place for our wedding! -

Lauren & Chris made our wedding so perfect. The food was fabulous. The atmosphere was perfect for our family and friends. We had such a great time. They kept us on target for our timeline, worked with us so closely helping us plan everything. We didn't have to think about anything that day. They took care of everything. We booked our DJ, Flowers, Cake, minister through them as well. All top notch vendors! Thanks so much to all the staff at Lake House. If you want your dream wedding, book here. I absolutely loved working with the Lakehouse Reception Center! From beginning to end, the staff made planning my daughter's wedding simple and elegant. They helped us with everything from the setup, to the food and flowers and kept every aspect of the reception flowing. I didn't have to worry about a thing on the day of the wedding. Very professional! I would highly recommend the Lakehouse! -

They made planning my day so simple - ceremony setup, reception setup, centerpieces, bridal and groom suite, catering and serving, alcohol and bartender, wedding coordinator for the night, as well as clean up at the end of the night. From the day we booked, we were very confident in all they were doing for us, and loved the ease of their backup plan in case it rained (it didn't!). We had 160 guests and they were very comfortable - 80% seated with plenty of dance floor. They also are dog-friendly which was extremely important to us since our ring bearer was a husky! All of our group pictures are picture-perfect thanks to the beautiful lake as a backdrop. Great price, great service, and beautiful venue! I would definitely recommend booking them! -

Ramsey the wedding coordinator made everything run so smoothly from the first time we toured the property to when we had our wedding it was great. I would highly recommend this place for a wedding or event -

Alisha Sent on 07/06/2009Facility is beautiful, very nicely laid out and decorated. BUT the food service is HORRIBLE! We had 150 guests, and in our menu package, we requested a carving station of brisket and turkey. The server had the smallest pieces of meat on the carving station, and served out SLIVERS of NOTHING! They were very stingy with their servings. And they served us HAM. HAM?!?!?!? Which we DID NOT request! The response from Ramsey (in charge of Lake House) regarding this was that "the guests ate more than they expected so they quickly heated the ham they had for the next event to help us." THEY SHOULD HAVE PREPARED ENOUGH AND ACCORDINGLY! Two briskets and one turkey is not enough for 150 people. And DON'T serve something the bride did not request. I HATE ham and hated the fact that they served this. In my opinion, they have done enough weddings to know that two briskets and one turkey is not enough for 150 people. You ALWAYS prepare more than enough (which is also stated in their contract), and this is something they didn't do.
And they also didn't fill the serving dishes when they were low. The Lake House tells clients that "they prepare more than enough for your guests and will give you all the leftovers". Well, my parents (the bride's parents) had to tell them to refill the pans. Also, the carving station was not always staffed; guests were waiting. THAT IS SAD! And supposedly they had plenty of staff.... IF they had plenty of staff, they would have noticed the pans getting low. I think they just cut corners in food preparation, to make more money. And ham was cheap so they prepared this, instead of the meat that we requested. Even my wedding party and guests said that they were stingy with the meat/food. That is horrible.
We also had a chocolate fountain. It looked NOTHING like the pictures that we were shown (by Kami). The pictures they have (when completing the paperwork to book with them) showed a beautiful chocolate fountain with lots of dipping varieties. For my wedding, it was YET another skimpy presentation. One of our menu items was supposed to Mini Muffalettas. Instead, they served 1/2" slices of a po-boy sandwich.
If you want a beautiful facility, Lake House is perfect. If you want good food and presentation, I DO NOT recommend them. I even called Lake House, a few weeks after my event, and gave them feedback. At the end of my call, I thanked them, yet said I was greatly disappointed. Ramsey hung up on me and never said anything.
