Shannon is so easy to communicate with and seriously makes the BEST cakes. I sent her a couple of pictures of what I wanted and she made the cake look better than the pictures. She arrived to the venue extra early to set the cake up and made sure it was perfect for our special day. We got so many compliments on how good the cake tasted by our guests. I would definitely recommend!!!

Shannon did such an amazing job with my Son and Daughter in laws wedding cake. From the buttercream to the sponge, the entire cake was delightful. The strawberry filling was to die for! . Clear communication, reasonable pricing, and overall just a kind experience from start to finish. 10/10 recommend. We will definitely be using her for other baking needs.

The Best Ideas Best to Work With
I live in Nashville and my wedding was in Florida. I googled weddings cakes etc in PCB, reached out to a few, but response time lagging, or not very innovative. Shannon got back to me and I talked to her about ideas to incorporate into the picture I sent her. I even sent down my topper so she could measure everything. I sent down flowers I had bought, fake. She did a great job bringing my vision to life especially out of state! I would highly recommend. She also has several pictures online. Delivery was great too!

Everything I had dreamt up in my head for my wedding cake came to life with Shannon’s cake. She really listened to exactly what I wanted and what I was picturing. She even made me a cake topper that others told me would be hard to do. Also, cannot forget about the amazing grooms cake she made, which was not an easy design. Then of course have to express how the flavors were exceptional. It’s hard to make a cake look pretty, but harder to make it taste uniquely good!! Shannon is an absolutely amazing baker and was helpful from the moment we tasted her cakes! Even though COVID caused a lot of bumps in our initial wedding plans, Shannon was extremely flexible and accommodating. Shannon was amazing! Her cake well.. even BETTER!!! My wedding cake was beautiful and the taste was fantastic and well me and my family are all about good cake! It was an amazing experience very friendly and hands on customer service Shannon made sure we were on track and having the cake of my dreams copied the same as I imagined it and even better . Now the taste is a whole other story I tasted many flavors she had but the one she recommended was almond cake with raspberry filling it was to die for everyone loved it they said it was the best cake they had . Price and count wise she was very reasonable and was able to feed 400 guests of mine with the amazing idea of extra cake sheets , all of my guests were pleased and happy with the her special sugary touches . We simply just loved her work attitude and the taste of this amazing cake

Perfection to detail.
My husband and I did the cake tasting for my son’s wedding. Shannon listened to every detail and was very pleasant to work with. Shannon Gay @ Lake House Cakes- Do not wait or shop around- This is the place for all of your specialty cake needs. Our wedding planner asked us at the first meeting, what were the “Must Haves” for our special day. Without hesitation I said CAKE, & more CAKE 😊. Clay Keels @signaturewedpc immediately connected us with Shannon.
Her work is exquisite, she is a consummate professional, and her cakes.... you guys- WOW!
We had 130 guests and two 4 tier cakes. The tops came home with us ( I will get back to that), but every slice of both of those cakes vanished by the nights end. There was a saved plate that was kindly placed in our honeymoon suite, and yes, that was our newlyweds breakfast! After our honeymoon- we loved our wedding cakes so much that we craved it the entire week. Soooo- we got home and divided our 2 anniversary tops into a post honeymoon cake.
The feedback on Lake House Cakes by Shannon from our guests was unrelenting, “that was the best cake I have ever had”, “is there anymore peanut butter and chocolate cake”, & “I can’t believe how dang good those cakes were”.
Shannon’s cakes were extraordinarily beautiful, irresistibly delicious, and simply magnificent.

Not only is this the absolute best cake I have tasted, but Shannon went above and beyond when I gave her a generalization for a wedding cake. It was beautiful and we used it as the focal point in the ballroom. It definitely provided a jaw dropping moment when people saw it. Shannon was one of the best vendors we worked with for our event. Shannon was extremely kind, responsive and accommodating when it came to design, flavor and execution. The cake was beautiful and the reaction/feedback from the guests on the flavor was the best of all. Best experience.

Shannon was amazing, her sweet calming nature in such a hectic time was so pleasant and greatly appreciated! She worked with me back and forth over the phone and email. The cake was just as delicious as it was beautiful! We will definitely want to recreate this for the anniversary! I would highly recommend her services just as she came highly recommended to me!

We could not have asked for a more perfect cake for our wedding! Both of our cakes (groom's cake and bride's cake) were amazing! They were not only perfect in detail but delicious! My husband likes her so much he wants to call her for all of our cakes from now on!
