Todd and I have an interesting past. I hired him when I was previously engaged and we had done an engagement session. The wedding was called off and I never got to experience him at a wedding. When my husband and I got engaged I told him the only thing I cared about was food and photos (and marrying him obviously) we looked at more local photographers who were a little (not much cheaper) and I said to him please just look at his work!! So he did and turned to me and said hire him. He's truly an artist. I reached out to Todd and fortunately he was available! He and Danette were wonderful! Willing to trek hiking trails and sneak into abandoned buildings so we could capture the history of our town and incorporate nature into our photos. -

Todd was our first vendor we booked because the photos were the most important thing to us, so we wanted to make sure we had that solidified from the very beginning. It didn't take us long to make the decision because once we saw his website- that was it. We had to have him. And coincidentally, he was a preferred photographer at our wedding venue! So it felt like a sign that we already had our hearts set on him. We knew we wanted most of our photos to be beautiful, candid shots. We're not huge fans of staged photos; of course you have to have the family photos, the bridal party photos, etc. But we wanted to be able to look back at our photos and remember moments, and that's exactly what Todd's photos are. Beautiful pockets of moments from your wedding day. We felt like we knew the couples from the photos on his website simply because they had such personality to them. You really felt like you got to know them just through looking at their photos. We met him in person and he was just such a cool, easy going guy on top of being super talented. We knew that he'd make us feel easy and light on our big day, because that's the energy he exudes. So our wedding day comes and he was there from beginning to end, an incredible 12 hours!! We had SO much fun with him & his assistants. He jokes around with you all day, he made sure that I was warm in between shots (it was cold outside!) he just felt like a friend shooting some fun shots of us. He was so relaxed the whole time, it transferred over to the rest of us. For the rest of the day, we barely noticed him! He's kind of like a ninja in that way haha, because we've seen some sneak peeks of some of our photos and they are INCREDIBLE and we're both like, "wait! he was there at that moment?!" He captured my husband and I perfectly; our goofy selves and incredible love we have for each other came out so beautifully; and we've only seen a few photos! If you want someone to truly capture candid, special moments throughout your day and have them look like they belong in a wedding magazine- Todd Laffler is your man. -

Todd brilliantly captures those peak emotional states that make up your wedding day story. Ours was simple, yet we wanted great photos to remember it by. Not only do we love his work but also a few people highly recommended him. Part of me wondered if there would be enough material for Todd and his second shooter to work with, but in retrospect it was silly to have worried at all. They were in a flow the entire time and we are blown away by the end result! Our album feels as alive as our actual wedding day with plenty of candid photos, and we have some more traditional portraits in the mix, too. My husband and I felt cared for from first contact until we received the finals, which are exquisitely edited and packaged. Todd’s reliability, attention to detail, and consistency are truly remarkable. He is also a pro with people and knew how to help us relax while he worked efficiently and discreetly. If you like what you see, go for it! -

User6089933 Sent on 09/03/2015Todd was amazing! we haven't got all our photos back but the ones we have seen are incredible so far. He's so mild tempered and easy going it made for a great wedding with little stress, I've been to plenty where the photographer stresses people out running around. He went above and beyond what was expected and did such a great job of blending into the crowd that I barely even noticed he was there for most of the night. Would definitely recommend him!
