Bess and the Lady Cakes team were a pleasure to work with. They created our wedding cake(s) and took a very basic verbal description what we wanted our cake to look like and it turned out absolutely perfect. Due to dietary restrictions, I have celiac disease, I wanted to make sure I had the same experience at my wedding as everyone else, food and dessert wise. Bess has created, hands down, the most delicious gluten free cake I have ever had. I was so genuinely excited to find her and have the opportunity to work with her. She created one gluten-free cake for us to display that went with our theme and then created two additional sheet cakes for us to hold in the back and serve to all of our other guests who did not have dietary restrictions. Her execution was flawless. We went with an orange creamsicle inspired cake flavor, and she knocked it out of the park. Our guests are still talking about how good the cakes was. Thanks to everyone at Lady Cakes for being a part of the best day ever!! -

We used LadyCakes for our wedding cake and cupcakes and it was a massive hit! We had a two tier cake and cupcakes with the best and most unique flavors -- Death by Chocolate, Salted Caramel Pretzel, Key Lime, and Lemon Blueberry -- all 10/10. The team was also incredibly helpful throughout the process of deciding and working through day-of logistics. If you are a bride in the SWFL area, LadyCakes is a MUST! -

Because Lady cakes was one of the most award-winning wedding cake vendors in the area, and I had indulged in some of their bakery products before, they were my first choice, and that choice ended up being a good one!
We were very demanding and had specific needs regarding allergies and frosting preferences. We also wanted more than one cake, and the second cake was to be kept a secret from the bride. I worked one on one with the owner on that issue and she was happy to help me, and make the cake a complete surprise to the bride.
Although they do not deliver on Sundays, which was the day of our event, they were willing to work with another vendor to get the cake there on time, and we greatly appreciated their flexibility in doing this.
The day of the wedding, the cake made it to the venue safely, was absolutely gorgeous, and in keeping with all of our expectations and Visions…. Not to mention the fact that the cake was also perfectly delicious.
Lady cakes has a great following in this area, and a great reputation, and I can see why that is. The reputation is well-deserved.!!
I would highly recommend lady cakes for your wedding or any other event.

I found ladycakes through a mom group locally, and hired her based on recommendations there. The cake was so moist! I am not a lemon cake person but at tasting that was my favorite. We did a 2 tier and extra tier on the side and had a ton of leftover cake. No complaints here though because I ate that for a week after lol -

We used LadyCakes for our November 2022 wedding and couldn’t be happier! The stakes were high as this was also our gender reveal! I used SneakPeek to find out the gender and had the results emailed directly to LadyCakes. They did a beautiful job on the style I was going for and truly made the night when we found out we were having a baby boy. We wanted both cake and cupcakes and the tasting/selection process was seamless. We picked 1 cake and 3 cupcake flavors for girl and boy results. Not to mention all of this happened one month after Hurricane Ian! Thanks to everyone there for helping us on our big day!

Bess is so sweet and so easy to work with! My wedding flowers were calla lillies and she made the most perfect sugar calla lilly flowers for our wedding cake. It was beautiful! In addition, we ended up having two cakes since during our tasting, my husband and I both loved two different flavors and just could not compromise and decide on one, so we got both! There's a reason why Bess is known as the best! Don't wait - schedule a tasting with Bess and you'll be hooked! -

Bess is AMAZING and did exactly what we wanted! We did a variety of specialty cupcakes with a 6" vanilla cake and vanilla frosting. I sent her a photo of just a simple design that I wanted the cake to look like and it was PERFECT! BESS was personable, professional, and easy to work with! The cake and cupcake was absolutely delicious and raved about by all of the guests! Having it be a destination wedding we couldn't really take any home and we had just enough that none of it went to waste! I highly recommend going through Lady Cakes for your next event! -

Bess and our cake were awesome. It turned out beautiful and delicious! There is a big variety of flavor combinations to choose from. Besides the quality cake, Bess is also really cool. She was fun to chat with and work through ideas with. We booked DeRomo's for our venue, and the cake is included. However, we wanted a bigger/taller cake than the size for our number of guests, and Bess told us outright the cost per person for the extra tier, and there were NO hidden costs at the end. Overall, we were very pleased. Also, when you meet with Bess for the cake tasting, make sure to snag some of the prepared treats in the shop. You won't be sorry! -

Our cake was amazing! It was so fresh and soft, and the flavors went so well together. It was an almond cake with salted caramel buttercream. My guest were raving on how wonderful the cake was. We saved the topper for our 1 year anniversary however we ate it after our honeymoon 😂 😂 I would recommend getting your cake from LadyCakes for any occasion. -

Hands down the best bakery in town! After Bess' warm and friendly reception into her bakery the first time we met for our tasting, I knew she would be the one to make our cake. Her shop was spotless, and oh so cozy, with the lingering smell of baked goods wafting throughout. Her products are so fresh, and taste so good, I wouldn't go to any other baker at this point, haha! Everyone at our wedding was raving about how amazing the cake was!! I mean, wedding cake is always just ok, right? Not our cake! It was AMAZING!
Our cake from LadyCakes came with our wedding package at our venue. We were able to visit Bess for a tasting and to choose a design. Bess really went out of her way to accommodate my food allergy, and we had the hardest time choosing what flavors we wanted because they were all so delicious! Highly recommend. Amazing Cake
Our wedding was not a typical wedding -- 2nd marriage for both of us. We met with Bess of LadyCakes Bakery to see if she and her team could create a large hostess chocolate cupcake as our wedding cake. Bess was thrilled with this idea as she has not been asked this before. LadyCakes Bakery aced it -- the cake was perfect and incredibly delicious (as you would expect from Lady Cakes Bakery). Easy and delicious experience!
We used Lady Cakes for our wedding cake vendor as part of the Casa Ybel wedding package. Bess was wonderful to work with and full of ideas.
The process was very straightforward and easy. We booked a cake tasting several months in advance as Lady Cakes is very popular and we wanted to make sure we were on the schedule. After deciding on a cake they handle all the logistics of getting the cake to the venue.
We came in with very few ideas for our cake. We were looking for something simply designed, in a buttercream but with some color. We didn’t like the look of a naked cake and certainly didn’t want too formal looking of a cake. Something classic/simple with a bit of artistic flair. We were showed a design that had painterly strokes in monochromatic tones of blue and it was a perfect match with our wedding color palette which included dusty/ twilight blue. They certainly live up to their specialization in custom cakes, we had no idea what we wanted and Bess worked out the design right there with us.
Let me just say, we came into this wanting at least some portion of our cake to be chocolate. We tasted several different variations of cake and frosting combinations. Instantly we were converted to the other flavor combos and completely abandoned chocolate. We selected a raspberry cake with vanilla bean filling. It had a soft and light texture with just the right amount of sweetness from the vanilla bean.
The final result was beautiful. The painterly strokes on the outside matched the blue tones of the bridesmaids' dresses. The soft pink color of the raspberry cake matched the soft pink florals in the bouquets. And the taste! It tasted fantastic; super soft and the frosting was deliciously sweet. The cake was so popular our employer ordered a standard cake in the same flavor to serve at a staff meeting for birthdays.
We were unable to save our actual wedding cake but we’re local and plan to order a fresh cake for our anniversary.

We hired Lady Cakes for our wedding back in November and were so impressed! They had a variety of unique flavors to choose from that were all so good. When I showed Bess some inspo pictures for what I had in mind she had so many different ideas to bring to the table and was able to combine multiple ideas that we had into one cake that just fit so perfectly. I went into the vendor meeting thinking I had unrealistic cake dreams and left feeling like we were going to have one of those cakes popping up all over pinterest. And that's absolutely what we got! We had a few guests mention that they had multiple pieces of cake that night too because it was so good. I would definitely recommend them!! -

After eating piles of fondant at weddings, my husband and I wanted a cake that looked, and more importantly, tasted amazing for our wedding. LadyCakes completely delivered! Wow. Wedding guests at my daughter’s wedding devoured the wedding cake and cupcakes. I even ordered a cake size that would feed more thank our number of guests and they still ate it all. Bess was right when she said people actually eat her cakes!!!
I’m thinking about breaking in to my daughters top layer in the freezer. Lol. The cupcakes were also to die for especially the vanilla cupcakes with raspberry filling.
The cake was a beautiful as it was delicious.

Bess and the rest of the LadyCakes team were great to work with and the cake was delicious! We hired LadyCakes to bake us a 3 tiered cake for our destination wedding on North Captiva Island off the coast of SW Florida. We weren't able to meet with Bess beforehand, but knew she was the right person for us when she asked for our photographer's name so she could look up her work to see how her photography style might impact the color of the icing! She reassured us on the number of cupcakes and decorations and made it very easy and stress free for a destination wedding. The cake was super moist but still light and the frosting was smooth, not overly sweet and didn't leave that film in your mouth like some frostings do. Overall it was a great experience. Thank you! -

Living in a different state, I was a bit nervous to order our cake and cupcakes without being able to taste them first. Ladycakes was amazing and everything turned out perfect! The cake and cupcakes were absolutely delicious and the staff was very professional and super nice when I needed to pick up later than planned. I definitely would use them again! -

There are not enough good words to say about lady cakes bakery. They executed my vision and dream in a wedding cake. Everyone raved how delicious my two cakes were. My brides cake had two flavors.
Strawberry and vanilla tiers with their renowned toffee, Carmel, pretzel icing. My grooms cake was amazing. I sent them a photo of my fiancés trucks logo which came out just perfect!!
Just go try their cakes and see for yourself. I had two cakes made for 100 people but only for 80 guest—— I was looking forward to having some cake the following day...! And it still tastes awesome! -

The moment we met with Bess we knew our experience would be great. Bess is an amazing artist. My wife let me have half batman wedding cake and she made our idea pop! Morgan Sent on 09/01/2018Ladycakes was absolutely amazing. The cake tasted just as it did during our cake testing. Everyone loved the cake and we even had people go back for seconds. We did a 2 tier cake and 120 cupcakes. Ladycakes even delivered the set up the cake and cupcakes. I had a hard time describing what i wanted our cake to look like it was as if she could read my mind. She drew up what i wanted to a T couldnt have asked for a better bakery to create my wedding cake.

She totally understood what I was going for, and was honest about some of my expectations- coming from Illinois it didn't dawn on me that cake melts in Florida! The detail that went into my wedding cake was beyond anything I could have imagined. I absolutely love the pictures that were taken, and so happy we chose to have the cake as a focal point at our reception. Bess, thank you so much for listening to me, providing the wedding cake of my dreams, and being a part of my special day. Not only was the cake beautiful on the outside, it was delicious on the inside! It felt so good to stuff my face with cake and then dance the night away!
