Lacuna Events is THE place to get married (specifically for me, Lacuna Lofts). It was the first of only two places we toured for venues, and I fell in love with it instantly. Not only because it is such a unique venue, but all the staff I interacted with were both fun and helpful. I can say this specifically about Tania who probably had a million things going on but always made it feel like I was the only person on her radar. She was professional, SO easy to work with, a wealth of knowledge and advice and I could tell she genuinely had myself and the weddings best interest at top of mind with every interaction. The day of staff were lovely and the food is AMAZING. It has been a month since our wedding and we are still getting compliments on it - and a close friend of mine even booked this space for her 2026 wedding. Choosing this venue was the easiest decision in my whole wedding planning experience. I have endless praise and applause for this venue and all of the people who help propel it from a cool and artsy space to an unforgettable experience.

Lacuna Lofts was a great place to have our venue, we would do it again if we could. The building itself is such a unique, artsy gem, full of character and creativity—and we got so many compliments from our guests on how cool and different it was. The building can be a little confusing to access on your own, but on the wedding day, all of the entrances were manned to help our guests.

We knew it was the one when we saw the rooftop. I wanted to have a place that had the option for a rooftop, of course weather dependent, and we got very lucky that the weather was perfect. They of course have a backup plan for inclement weather.

Our reception was in the “La Galeria” space, which is the smaller room. It had an intimate, cozy vibe that made everything feel warm and connected.
Many guests raved about the food--when we did our mingling, lots of our guests had entirely clean plates!

We also can’t say enough good things about our venue coordinator, Tania. She was incredibly helpful, responsive, and real throughout the entire planning process. She gave us solid, honest advice when we needed it most and always made us feel supported and in good hands. Her calm, grounded energy made a huge difference and helped everything run smoothly.

We’re so happy we chose this venue. It was the perfect backdrop for our day and helped create memories we’ll cherish forever.

My husband and I lost track of the number of friends and family members who came up to us at our wedding and in the days after to rave about Lacuna Lofts - from the art to the wood to the lights! We immediately fell in love with Lacuna Lofts when we toured the space, and the art we loved so much looked incredible in our wedding photos. Tania and the whole Lacuna Lofts team was a DREAM to work with throughout our planning process. Tania was so responsive, professional, and accommodating to our different needs and requests. It was so easy working with Tania on both the venue and catering, and that showed in how perfect our wedding day went! If you are looking for a unique, unforgettable wedding venue, it does not get better than Lacuna Lofts in Chicago!

The People:
Everyone we met from Lacuna was wonderful to work with. We primarily worked with Laura leading up to the wedding. She was incredibly helpful and very responsive to all of our questions (and we had a lot of questions). She has a great upbeat personality that made the little stressful moments throughout the process better.

We also had a great experience with the staff during the wedding day. The security guard was very personable and responsive. The waitstaff and bartenders were quick and professional and excellent at cleaning up quickly when our some of our klutzier guests kept spilling their drinks.

The Food:
We were very impressed with the quality of our tasting. There was a good variety of options and everything tasted great. We received a number of compliments from our guests. The desserts were incredible and the family style sides were pretty popular. We also really liked the fact that Lacuna allows you to bring in your own alcohol from Binny’s and other suppliers, so we had more control over what wine and drink selection we could offer.

The Venue:
The venue is gorgeous. Our guests were blown away by the Chicago skyline for the ceremony. We were in the galleria for the reception and absolutely loved it. We fell in love with the artsy vibe and love that the venue has a good balance of unique visuals without being too overwhelming. Another huge selling point for us was the large dance floor. We had plenty of space for our 180 guests to dance all night long.

We had our wedding in La Galleria of Lacuna Lofts and it was amazing. We were won over during the walk-through by the art, wood floors, and large windows. The 5th floor was perfect for us since we were having a medium sized wedding (130 guests). Our event manager, Laura Thomas, was an absolute pleasure to work with. She took over when our prior coordinator transferred venue locations. Laura was on top of everything from the start and so quick to respond to any questions or concerns. She worked with our other vendors the day of and everything ran seamlessly. The rooftop was open for guest to see and take photos while we had our cocktail hour on the first floor. The food was great and we received many compliments from our guests. Everyone on the catering team from the servers, bartenders, and night catering manager were amazing. We are so happy we had our wedding at Lacuna!!

I loved working with the people at Lacuna Lofts. They were very professional and thorough. They were patient with me and made this process much easier. Everyone loved the venue and raved about the food

It was an easy decision for us to go with Lacuna. The location and space were great, and we really enjoyed working with Mary. Our decision was then reaffirmed when I got COVID 2 days before the wedding and we had to scramble to update the format of our event. Mary was extremely helpful and responsive as we brainstormed new ideas - she even had our wedding meals. cake, and champagne delivered to our house so we could experience our wedding reception virtually with our guests. While it was bittersweet not being able to attend in person, everyone loved the event, the food and the staff. Looking back, my husband and I can only smile at what great memories were made at our hybrid wedding. If I had to do it all over again, I would choose Lacuna!

We got married at Lacuna Lofts over Labor Day weekend and everything was perfect! We had planned to get married in October of 2020 but COVID obviously derailed things. Mary and her team were very flexible and accommodating throughout everything. The day went off without any hitches and we couldn't recommend them more!

i am a wedding planner with Liven It Up, and I had a wedding here last weekend. The catering team was so helpful and responsive during the planning process. And day-of they were on top of it! This venue is one-of-a-kind.... so many places to take photos. And the view on the rooftop is incredible. Tons of space, super accommodating. The catering team was flexible with us when we ran behind on the schedule, and the teamwork was great. I highly recommend having an event here!

We worked very closely with Mary to plan out our big day and could say nothing but great things about her. She made our planning experience and day-of extremely easy. She was very prompt in her responses and helpful in her advice when it came to all the wedding logistics.

The venue itself, we could not have been more happy with. Everything was perfect. The rooftop and main reception room were beautiful spaces, the food was amazing and staff were very kind and attentive.

Overall we definitely recommend booking Lacuna for your special day and hopefully you'll be luckily enough to have Mary as your coordinator!

We could not have been more thrilled with Lacuna! We loved the eclectic atmosphere, the food, the ease of planning with them, and their flexibility.
Gabi was extremely responsive and she put up with my indecisiveness like a champ. She had great ideas to offer and was so easy to work with. Our friends and family loved the venue- we received so many compliments (from people of all ages) about the quality of the food, the atmosphere, and the staff. The staff at Lacuna are AMAZING! Once we were married and had a few moments alone, all of the appetizers were set up in a room for my husband and me. It is the perfect venue no matter how many guests you have.

We had our wedding reception at Lacuna Lofts July 27, 2019, and absolutely loved every minute of it. The venue itself is awesome–the views of the Chicago skyline from the rooftop deck are unbeatable, and the gallery space is artsy, eclectic, and very fun. It fit the two of us perfectly, and I loved the flexibility Lacuna provided for us to add whatever touches we wanted to make the space feel that much more our own. We’ve gotten endless compliments from our guests on everything from the space itself, to the friendliness and professionalism of the staff, to the food (we did the Pilsen and Ballpark stations, and they were a huge hit!!)

We worked with Mary Kehoe from LM Catering to plan our celebration, and she is fantastic. She is relaxed, patient, responsive, and very thorough. She always made herself available to answer any questions I had throughout the process, and went out of her way to take care of small details, especially day-of, so that I didn’t have to worry about anything. We highly, highly recommend Lacuna Lofts to anyone looking for a wedding venue in the city of Chicago. Thank you, Mary!!

When our daughter was looking for venues for her recent wedding, she immediately fell in love with Lacuna Lofts. Not only is the building beautiful with an interesting history, an over 100 year old Macaroni Factory, but she fell in love with the skydeck and had to have a summer wedding. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate on the big day, but Georgie and the staff were so calm, reassuring us that our back up plan of having the ceremony and reception inside would be just as memorable. The rain ended and our guests were able to take in the breathtaking view of the Chicago skyline after dinner. All of our guests commented on how wonderful the wedding was, and the food was the best they’ve had at a wedding, and the vegetarian choice was unlike others they’ve had before. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a wedding in and interested venue, other than the typical country club or ballroom, that are readily available. Thanks again to Georgie and her staff for making this day one that we will never forget!

My husband and I got married this summer at Lacuna Lofts and could not have picked a more perfect venue! We were looking for a unique, lofted space that was large and open, provided catering, and had outdoor accommodations. Lacuna met all of our expectations and more!

We were lucky enough to have Mary as our venue and catering coordinator throughout the entire wedding planning process. Mary answered all of our questions along the way and her relaxed and kind demeanor made the planning fun and enjoyable. We truly felt that she was our partner in planning, as we worked together to coordinate the wedding of our dreams.

A huge perk was that they also have their own caterer, LM Catering & Events, so we didn’t have to worry about coordinating our own food, tables/chairs, linens, etc. The food provided by LM Catering was amazing, along with the table settings, dessert stands, and beautiful details they provided.

On our actual wedding day, we were blown away with how smoothly EVERYTHING went! We had to make some last-minute changes due to the weather, but it was carried out without a hitch. We had our ceremony in the blank canvas gallery, cocktail hour on the rooftop deck, and reception in the reverie gallery. Each and every space was beyond gorgeous. We got compliments all night long from our guests with how awesome the venue was, and they continue to talk about it even after the wedding. We highly recommend Lacuna Lofts to anyone looking to plan an unforgettable wedding day!

We hosted our Wedding Ceremony and Reception at Lacuna this past weekend and it was better than we could ever imagine! We had our ceremony on the rooftop and it was the perfect day! The skyline was stunning and everything was beautiful. The reception was in the Reverie Gallery downstairs and the room looked amazing! Everything about Lacuna is so unique and our guests were raving about every detail!

We worked with the beyond brilliant Mary Kehoe. She was amazing! She truly cared about our event and was on top of every detail and extremely responsive! She is a love of a person and so so wonderful to work with!

They allowed us to do our rehearsal the Friday before and drop off our items to be stored in the office which was very convenient. They also let us store it there after the wedding and pick it up this week which helped a ton. Mary even called our liquor supplier and took care of pick up!

Our big day was perfect! The service was outstanding as well! We had one server just for myself and the groom which was amazing. We never had to ask for anything, it was just always there! The food was also superb! Our guests wouldn't stop talking about it and said it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding!

We had our wedding at Lacuna February 10, 2018, and we cannot say enough wonderful things about the space and staff. Lorraine was our event coordinator and she went above and beyond to make sure that all of our needs were met, and our big day would be perfect. She is professional, responsive, detailed, very kind, and overall an amazing person to work with. Lorraine understood our vision for the wedding and made it happen! Thank you so much, Lorraine!

Lacuna works exclusively with LM Catering so they took care of all the food, which was FANTASTIC! We had 3 passed apps, 2 stations, and a sweets table. Our guests loved the food, even weeks later we were still receiving compliments on how tasty it was, and that it was some of the best wedding food they have ever had! I was worried that I wasn't going to be hungry, and you always hear that newlyweds don't eat at their own wedding, but believe me, we DEFINITELY ate, and boy was it delicious!

Lacuna was a perfect fit for us. The venue has a great industrial, urban, cool, off-beat vibe, and the art in there is incredible, which added to the overall experience for our guests and a great setting for our wedding photos. The venue gave everyone an opportunity to check out local Chicago art at it's best. Everyone complimented us on our venue choice, and how much fun the wedding was!

I don't feel like I could say enough good things to do the space and the staff justice . We got married here this past weekend (in busy September) and worked with the coordinator Lorraine Murphy. The entire process of planning and coordinating was so smooth and easy. All communication was fast and always met with a friendly response. All of our requests were met, even minor last minute changes two days prior to the big day. Our wedding day truly exceeded our expectations. The space is beautiful and our guests could not get enough of it. Everything ran smoothly and there was not one hiccup identified. On top of all of this, the food was absolutely delicious and we received many comments on how good all the choices were. I would highly highly recommend this space, LM catering, and Lorraine Murphy to anyone looking to host a big event.

Gabi and her team at Lacuna Events were amazing throughout the entire process. They were quick to answer questions and always were open to us stopping by and walking through the space prior to the wedding. Gabi worked with us to help create our dream wedding and did whatever she could to make our ideas work.

The roof top was amazing for the ceremony and cocktail hour and then first floor room allowed us to throw a party that we nor our guests will ever forget!

My husband and I had our entire wedding (ceremony & reception) on the skydeck overlooking Chicago's skyscrapers, I highly recommend it! It was risky decision but thankfully the weather was on our side. I can't thank the Lacuna team enough for their hard work in making our day so special...from the setting up of our flowers to the displays of our food. It's such a treat for out of town guests to witness the city lights from above and be able to feast on the delicious food Lacuna had to offer. Most importantly, they partner with Vanille for the sweets...loved it! Our wedding coordinator, Lorraine, worked tirelessly and was very attentive to our needs. I can't thank the Lacuna team enough. I highly recommend Lacuna for your special day, you won't regret it!

Lacuna was an incredible place to get married. We picked them for their unique space, but are so happy for everything else they offered. The food was incredible, service top notch, and BYOB was such a wonderful addition. Not to mention people are still commenting on how fun the space itself was. Part of the reason we wanted to get married at Lacuna was the rooftop. It ended up storming terribly all day/night the day of our wedding, and the back-up plan (that I paid zero attention to during the planning process) was more intimate and stunning than I could have imagined. Overall, the day was perfect because of Lacuna and the staff there. Thank you!

We could not be more thrilled with our experience at Lacuna Artist Lofts and working with Mary Kehoe throughout the process. She was so kind and easy to work with, answering my numerous questions whenever I had them. Planning our wedding day and working with Lacuna was a breeze. The venue is beautiful on it's own with the interesting artwork throughout, the beautiful skyline view and the industrial chic inside space. Their menu options are plentiful and delicious. We could not have selected a more ideal venue for our wedding day!

We had our fall 2016 wedding here, ceremony on the rooftop and reception in the Reverie Gallery. This venue is outstanding for it's views and creative photo opportunities. We were incredibly over joyed with the way our wedding turned out and would recommend it to anyone looking for a wedding venue in Chicago. The pricing for the room rental was very reasonable compared to other venues in Chicago which often have a very high minimum. The price per head cost was very flexible with options for plated, buffet, family style and even BYOB. That being said, the food was spectacular. We experienced a tasting at Troquet restaurant, and everything was so delicious that it was hard to make a choice! Our guests still rave about the steak and chicken. The catering staff was excellent and very attentive. Everything turned out perfect on the day of our wedding.

Leading up to our wedding there were some issues. Since this is an artist loft, they are constantly making changes to the building. This of course is out of the control of the events staff since they just rent from the building. Every time we came to the venue to meet with our coordinator, something would be different. Sometimes this would work out in our favor, like newly remodeled bathrooms. Other times not so much. Originally we rented "The Blank Canvas Gallery" a beautiful space with exposed brick and wood beams. A few months before our wedding we get a call that the owner of the building commissioned an art piece to be painted in the Blank Canvas Gallery... a large green and purple raccoon. We were extremely upset by this, but the LM Staff worked with us to make it right and we were able to move our reception to the Reverie Gallery. If you rent this space, just be prepared that the building might make changes.

Gabi and her staff at Lacuna Events by LM made our wedding day perfect! We booked the rooftop for our ceremony and cocktail hour and the Blank Canvas room for our reception. Our guests were so impressed by the venue (especially the view of the skyline as the backdrop for our ceremony) and everyone raved about the food! We decided to go with food stations instead of the plated dinner. There were so many food options- each one more delicious than the last!

When we started looking for a venue for our ceremony and reception, we were looking for a loft space. Most of the venues we toured would have required bringing in a lot of separate vendors (renting tables/chairs, catering, decorations, etc.). Lacuna Events by LM included more than most loft spaces. The venue and catering service was perfect! I would recommend this venue for anyone planning their wedding in Chicago!

Lacuna is the BEST - We had the most amazing wedding ever and I am still receiving nothing but compliments to this day. Our guests had an absolute blast and it was so different and unique, yet completely classy. The entire wedding could not have gone more smoothly. Mary was an absolute doll to work with and helped guide us along every step of the way. Aside from how awesome the venue is, the food was AMAZING. AMAZING AMAZING. They always say a good party relies on food and music and they definitely got the food right. We had three stations - the Pilsen, Italian and a Mac & Cheese Bar - INCREDIBLE. My guests barely got drunk because they ate so dang much - no complaints! The risotto was also a huge hit (definitely recommend that). I was a little bummed because the weather was pouring so we couldn't use the rooftop deck for cocktail hour, but the inside lobby worked out perfectly and the guests were mesmerized by the installations. We had about 200 guests there and it was the perfect space for everyone in the Reverie gallery. Ah, just the best wedding venue ever (but of course I'm biased) :).

I abosolutely love this place. Everything was so nice and spacious and the staff was more than helpful. They were very easy to work with.

Lacuna Lofts was the perfect venue for a wedding! It's different than usual "run in the mill" weddings you always go to. Mackie & Shawn were terrific to work with & so helpful throughout the whole process. Having our wedding at Lacuna was the best decision! It's an amazing venue... I can't say it enough!

This venue was so great for our wedding! Mary was super helpful and I already miss sending her emails to bother her and ask tons of questions. All of our guests loved the venue. The art that surrounds this location really makes it unique. The blank canvas gallery was used for our ceremony, the reverie gallery for the reception and we even got to sneak up to the roof for some photos (which was great because it was January). We were also told how great the food was, which I 100% agree. Making mass amounts of steak & crepes isn't always easy, but not 1 person has said they didn't think it was the best steak or crepes they've ever had. Mary helped us with finding a company to add lighting to the space and she even went out of her way to reach out to other vendors for ideas we had for decorations. I really can't thank Mary and everyone else enough for doing such a good job and making our day perfect!

Our wedding at Lacuna was perfect. We ended up having our ceremony in the blank canvas room (after the weather did not cooperate with our plan to use the rooftop) and our reception in the Reverie Gallery. The space was very different and fun, which is exactly what we wanted. Our guests could not stop talking about how awesome the space was. LM events does a great job of providing the "everything is included" experience of a hotel wedding in an environment that is anything but the standard hotel ballroom feel. The tables/chairs and linens that they provide are really nice and fit in with the space perfectly - they have plenty of different options so you can definitely customize to achieve the right look for your vision. The team was also very accommodating when I had a nightmare 4 days before the wedding and decided that I HAD to change the tables and chairs that we planned to use. In the end, everything went smoothly and I could not have asked for a more perfect space or experience. The food is also incredible and they have so many options to choose from! Can't ask for anything more.

As soon as we saw Lacuna we knew this was exactly where we wanted to get married! Its so different and fun that it really helps set a happy tone for a wedding. Plus with all the art and cool structural built ins decorating the reception area was far less stressful. As long as you are willing to bring in all your own stuff and vendors this place is definitely worth it! They have plenty of people on site that are willing to help you plan the set up and decor, and they were always nice enough to alert us of any knew art that went up and give us the option to use it or have it taken away. With all the new additions being made to the venue I am sure it is only going to get better!

Lacuna Lofts is unlike any wedding venue we have seen, and we are so glad that we were able to have our wedding there. The skydeck is our favorite part, with that insane view of the city. I was not prepared for that moment when I was walking down the aisle, with all of the people that I love staring back at me, and that beautiful skyline in the background. The inside is even more unique! We loved the artwork mixed in with the warehouse, and were able to get some great pictures beforehand with the bridal party inside the building. I have never seen any other space like this, and our guests absolutely loved the food quality and the service. It was an excellently executed party, with no line at the bar and constant attention from the staff. We couldn't have asked for a better night!

We spent months looking for a perfect venue with no luck until a friend of mine that had their wedding at Lacuna referred me to them. The venue is beautiful, lots of wood, industrial look, neon signs, it had a certain feel. Our ceremony was on the roof with an absolutely amazing view of downtown. Don't get me wrong, it isn't cheap but it's well worth the price. Their communication was prompt for the most part and the whole experience made for a day I'll always cherish.

I cant give Lacuna enough praise in regards to our wedding. From planning to execution of the event everything was seamless. Mary and her planning team were attentive, knowledgeable, and extremely responsive throughout the whole process. In the days leading up to the wedding, Mary was there at every step to guide us through and make sure we were calm cool and collected.

The day of the wedding we ran into a few hiccups (as all weddings do) Mary, along with Ricardo and the catering staff pivoted without even hesitating. They were responsive and proactive on all matters making the day seem as seamless as possible. In addition to taking everything in stride, they made sure the bridal party was taken care of. Everything from making sure the bridal party had food and beverages ready to making a coffee run run (mid reception) for my grandmother.

Mary, Ricardo, and all the staff at Lacuna made our wedding dreams come true and for that we will be forever thankful.

Lacuna is a gorgeous event space, and we are so excited to have gotten married there! In the weeks leading up to the wedding, though, we felt blindsided by some last minute details that we were supposed to plan (such as lighting) and we were given news about a bar being under construction and unavailable only one month before the wedding. Communication was a weakness that we encountered, but the beautiful space was still worth the last minute headaches.

Lacuna is one of the COOLEST venues in the city of Chicago. My guests would not stop talking about how amazing were both the rooftop, which has one of the most beautiful views of the city, and the Reverie gallery, which is the funky, unique, and warm room for our reception. I will say that the responsiveness was slow at the beginning, where I had a difficult time getting answers to my questions. But once I was set up with Nicole, the co-owner of Lacuna Events, everything was smooth and she was very helpful. Communication was back on track and she was relatively quick to respond to my needs. The building as a whole is a bit confusing and under construction, so the elevators almost didn't work and it was definitely rough around the edges. However the rough edges added charm and a "cool" factor that something all buttoned-up would not offer. Honestly, I would not change my choice for the world. Lacuna was the perfect venue for a wedding, and I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend it to anyone who wants a wedding that all your guests will talk about for years to come!

Lacuna Artist Lofts is a great venue for something a little different. We appreciated the fun and bright art throughout the space. They were also very flexible with our ideas for several aspects of our wedding. They were not the quickest to respond, especially to emails. However, when I called them they were usually able to help me faster. The day of the wedding the event staff who were there to help make sure everything went smoothly, showed up later than we expected, so some items had to be set up last minute. In the end it all worked out, but I'm glad I had a day-of planner to help deal with it as I was taking family photos. However, the staff was great overall considering that the lead event person (who had also helped us throughout the process) was out of town for our wedding. The staff covered things well in her absence. It is also a little pricey considering you have to bring in your own tables and chairs, but the space was so wonderful that we were willing to cut back in other areas.

Overall the venue was wonderful for our wedding and our guests haven't stopped raving about it! I have already recommended it to several friends who are getting married, since it really is a great space.

We wanted a unique venue in the city thtat would allow us to customize our wedding to our tastes. Lacuna definitely provided that. I do feel that you need a wedding planner or coordinator to make sure your day runs smoothly because the staff were not attentive or helpful in answering questions. The room rental is pretty expensive considering nothing is included. Be prepared to bring in rentals, food, liquor, decor....everything. I don't know if I would choose this venue again, but all of our guests thought it was the coolest event space.

Lacuna Lofts is a beautiful venue in the heart of Pilsen. Our coordinator was friendly and we loved our face-to-face meetings with her. Unfortunately, scheduling meetings and getting responses to our questions via email was slow. On the day of our rehearsal, we had been promised the rooftop until 3pm. At 11 am we found out there was another wedding on the roof at 3 and we had to be completely done by 2 pm, which contradicted our written agreement. On the day of the wedding, there was confusion, communication issues, and some rude interactions with the staff, which made an otherwise gorgeous day lose some of its luster.

The tasting and dinner were phenomenal, with the exception of the kids' chicken nuggets, which didn't get any ketchup, even upon request.

This space is absolutely gorgeous and easily makes any wedding picturesque, so if you are choosing a place based on the scenery alone, we would recommend it. However, the service issues should cause you hesitation.

One last thing to mention that really helped us was the fact that Lacuna was able to track down and return some platters that we left at the building. It definitely gave us some peace of mind and exceeded our expectations!

The venue is undeniably beautiful, but we experienced a few issues with our contract and communication from beginning to end. If you choose to use this venue I highly recommend getting all communication in writing and looking veryyyy closely at your contract for possible changes to avoid any issues and additional stress like we had to experience leading up to our wedding, the day of our wedding, and after our wedding.
