Wonderful Rabbi

Rabbi Marx officiated our wedding in Sept 2019. He did an amazing job and we enjoyed our experience with him. We interviewed a handful of Rabbi's before speaking with Rabbi Marx, after our initial Skype meeting my husband and I knew he was the one. He was open to us creating a ceremony that was reflective of us. We are not overly religious and wanted a ceremony focused more on the "love" then religion, but included the jewish traditions that we felt comfortable with. Highly Recommend!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Rabbi Marx! He captured who we are so well, it was like he’d known us for years. Easily half our guests commented on how amazing he was. He definitely captured our humor and spirit and we absolutely loved working with him. He helped get us prepared from the big stuff to the details and was really accommodating of our family situations. Honestly, we couldn’t be happier with our ceremony.

Rabbi Marx was such an important part of our wedding. He met with us several times before the big day and always answered our questions in the most knowledgeable and patient manner. He spoke so eloquently and made the ceremony so special for us and our friends and family. My husband and I would HIGHLY recommend Rabbi Marx!

Rabbi Marx officiated our wedding and was amazing! From our very first meeting with him we knew

that our ceremony would be in good hands. We met with him three times prior to the wedding to

discuss not only the ceremony, but life as a married couple. His blend of kindness and humor put us at

ease during these meetings and this carried into the ceremony itself. He made the ceremony exactly

what we wanted, Jewish but not too religious. His words during the ceremony were funny yet touching

and sweet. Afterwards, we had numerous guests come up to us and tell us how great the rabbi was.

Rabbi Marx was so easy to work with and we would definitely recommend him to anyone who asks.

We had a hard time finding a reformed rabbi to orchestrate our ceremony. When we met Rabbi Jeff Marx, we knew he was the one. He was personable, funny, and light hearted. Rabbi Marx made our wedding ceremony so incredibly special! He made our ceremony very personal and he clearly put his heart and soul into the ceremony. He really took the time to get to know us prior to the wedding which made the ceremony that much more personal. He was the perfect choice to officiate for our wedding.

Rabbi Marx married my husband and I in July of 2010. This was particularly meaningful to me as I have known Rabbi Marx my entire life. However, my husband is now Jewish. Although he had never performed an interfaith wedding before, Rabbi Marx agreed to meet with us and consider officiating the wedding. Ultimately, of course, he agreed to perform the ceremony. I have always felt that Rabbi Marx is the best Rabbi I have ever known. He puts great effort into every detail of what he does, from performing a bris, to a shabbat service, to weddings. As a part of the wedding preparation, we had several meetings to not only discuss the wedding, but issues we might face later in our marriage. He offered us invaluable insight and advice, which has helped us immensely. Moreover, we always looked forward to our meetings with Rabbi Marx, which made the ceremony even more personal. Most importantly, my husband, who has never been one for any organized religion was so impressed and comfortable with Rabbi Marx that he has started attending high holiday services with me, and is looking forward to raising the child we are expecting as Jewish.

Rabbi Marx did a wonderful job personalizing our wedding. My wife and I are SCUBA divers, and he used many diving analogies when discussing the importance of marriage, etc. Very warm and personable guy. Would recommend him to anyone looking to get hitched.

Rabbi Marx is the best! He made the whole process from start to finish so warm and comforting. There were a lot of things to be nervous about during the wedding planning process, but we know our Rabbi was not one of them. My husband is not Jewish, but we still wanted a Jewish wedding and Rabbi Marx was able to do that for us. He helped us work through any questions and cultural differences. Our ceremony was so loving and a perfect representation of us.

Rabbi Marx handled our impossible family dynamic with such grace. We were so nervous about how some of our family would behave on the day of the ceremony and he kept everyone on good behavior! We still look at the pictures in our wedding album.

Rabbi Marx did a great job officiating our wedding. He was friendly, funny, easy to work with, and notably broke some hearts during the ketubah signing, which turned out to be a surprise highlight of the wedding. We consider ourselves to be spiritual Jews who hold a Friday night Shabbat and attend Temple on the high holidays (usually), however we are not "devout" or "religious" or traditional in any sense... we are modern and prefer Organic to Kosher as a small example... you get the idea. Rabbi Marx did not pass judgment, and met us at our level of comfort. The ceremony was a nice balance of sincerity, gravity, and high spirits, which we were looking for, ie: he fit right in with the mariachi band playing Beatles songs. In retrospect, he handled our crazy families with grace and ease. He provided a nice levity and we were glad to have him with us. Overall, we would definitely pick Rabbi Marx again, given the opportunity.

Rabbi Jeff was the Rabbi at my wedding and he was very professional, on time and added a bit of humor to the ceremony. My wife and I got to know Rabbi Jeff in a series of sit down meetings where he helped us with planning and preparation for the big day. He is a reform Rabbi and was very flexible and he was ok with anything we wanted to do.

Rabbi Marx was an excellent choice as our wedding officiant. He met with us a number of times prior to the big day so he could get to know us. He also gave us guidance about important conversations we should have around finances, children, lifestyle - things that come up while dating but have different importance once married. We liked that he broached the topics but didn't require us to hash it out in front of him.

At our actual ceremony, his humor and personality charmed both us an our guests. He struck the right balance of honoring the moment while also making the ceremony entertaining for the audience. Many of our guests commented that our officiant was fantastic.

We really enjoyed having Rabbi Marx as our officiant. It's been almost 3 years since our wedding, we're very happy together and have a baby girl on the way!

I had known Rabbi Marx for some time, but my fiancee had never met him. He was so genuine and kind that he really made her feel comfortable. He worked with us to create just the right feeling that we wanted, in our case both casual and intimate. I didn't just want a functionary to read some words, I wanted someone I liked and whom I felt liked us in return. I just can't imagine having a more perfect and personalized wedding and I owe a great deal of that to Rabbi Marx.

Rabbi Jeff was the best! Not only did he meet with my fiancé and I and help us work out several potentially disruptive family issues, but he did a fantastic ceremony. The ceremony was personal and meaningful. There was even an appropriate moment of humor. We loved it ! And we now are devoted fans of his. We're going to call him for our baby naming…God willing in 5 months.
