Wonderful & Perfect Wedding!
Our wedding at Hotel Mazarin (10/12/19) was AMAZING! We had our ceremony in the courtyard and reception in La Louisiane. The fountain and greenery in the courtyard makes for a beautiful ceremony location! The courtyard can be used rain or shine thanks to a retractable canopy. The food was delicious, the staff was extremely attentive and the bridal attendant went above and beyond to make sure that the bride and groom were getting special wedding day treatment! Everything went so smoothly and perfectly! During the planning process, I worked with Rachel who was SO helpful. She was always so sweet, quick to respond, and highly organized! A magical night at Hotel Mazarin
My experience planning my wedding was smooth mostly with the help of Rachel and the Hotel Mazarin team. From our first visit to check out everyone there was amazing. They treated me, my fiance turned husband, and guests so well and made everyone feel special.
The accomodations were wonderful, the ceremony space in the courtyard is gorgeous, and La Louisiane was the perfect space for our reception. We had approximately 75 people in attendance and everyone raved about the food, decor, and space. They were also impressed with the location of the hotel. Located right off of Bourbon and Bienville made it easy for us to get photos on bourbon for our First Look and Group Photos and transition to the ceremony.
The team at Hotel Mazarin is great. Leaving was so hard because we had such a great time. I cannot wait to come back to stay for our anniversary. My experience planning my wedding was smooth mostly with the help of Rachel and the Hotel Mazarin team. We throughly enjoyed every aspect of our stay, wedding, and reception at Hotel Mazarin and La Louisiane. The staff were beyond exceptional at accommodating us and our guest. Not one person in our party had one complaint or negative thing to say. The venue is beautiful, the staff is caring, and the food was fantastic! I couldn’t have asked for a better dream day! Beautiful Venue and Wonderful Team
Our wedding experience at Hotel Mazarin was truly a first-class experience. As out-of-towners, we had the pleasure of working with Rachel as our wedding coordinator. Rachel is a true professional and an absolute pleasure to work with. In preparation of our wedding, she maintained frequent communication through email and phone calls to address our concerns and, in the event of inclement weather, exhibited great resourcefulness to reschedule tours of the property, the La Louisiane Bar and Catering Venue, and an appointment with Donald for a menu tasting that made the planning of our wedding easy from afar. She coordinated a room-block with the front-office concierge to ensure that our out-of-town guests were graciously welcomed upon their arrival and flawlessly executed the details of our courtyard ceremony.
The sheer elegance of the hotel’s European-style fountain in the center of its courtyard is a sight that is as charming and quintessential of the French Quarter itself. The lighting, décor and floral arrangements provided an intimate setting for our wedding day far too beautiful to capture in words. Photos don’t do justice to how gorgeous the property is, particularly for a wedding ceremony.
The catering services were impeccable. We opted for a cocktail hour immediately after our courtyard wedding ceremony, in which hors d’oeuvres were generously passed around to guests shortly before our reception in La Louisiane. The boudin balls and stuffed artichoke were mouthwatering and knocked the socks off our guests’ taste buds, while beer and wine were flowing as guests celebrated. The first-class, top-notch service continued well into our reception at the La Louisiane Bar and Catering Venue, where we were assigned our own personal wedding attendant, Nedra, who treated us like family and made sure that every personal need was attended to and taken care of.
The sheer charm and beauty of the property, coupled with its truly outstanding and hospitable staff, makes Hotel Mazarin the “diamond of the French Quarter.” My wife and I are forever indebted to the men and women who work there. They made our wedding one for the ages, and will make yours too!

Hotel Mazarin & La Louisiane was terrific!
Simply wonderful! Our wedding was 11/3/18. We did the ceremony in the courtyard at the Hotel Mazarin and seated reception in the La Louisiane event space. Everything was PERFECT. Rachel coordinated everything beautifully and the event staff was professional and overly accommodating. My (now) husband and I are from out of town and flew in once to view the space then later to do the menu tasting. The event space is unique and beautiful and the food was fantastic. Rachel was very responsive via email and phone to all of our (sometimes crazy) questions and needs. The hotel blocks were perfect since all guests were out of town. I cannot say enough nice things about our experience, it was perfect and organized from start to finish.Simply wonderful! Our wedding was 11/3/18. best.day.ever!
Everything was amazing and most of our guests raved that our wedding was the best they had EVER attended!
The food was top notch, the service was impeccable.
This was a destination wedding, and I know I probably got on Rachel's nerves - but she was patient and very helpful.
Our attendant was so warm and sweet - she made sure we were able to relax and enjoy our big day. We couldn't be more thrilled that we chose Hotel Mazarin and La Louisiane!Everything was amazing and most of our guests raved that our wedding was the best they had EVER attended!

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at Hotel Mazarin over Memorial Day weekend and I would highly recommend it to any brides who want to get married in the French Quarter! We live in Chicago, but planning the wedding from a distance was so easy with the help of Rachel and Gianni. They were incredible to work with leading up the day of and I was not stressed out or worried about any of the details. Initially I was worried that the courtyard reception would be tight given that we had 130 guests, but there was plenty of space for the guests and the jazz trio. There was rain that day so the retractable roof was key in ensuring that the space and guests were not effected. There was a hiccup during the flood alarm, but the staff was all over it and made sure that the problem was resolved quickly and with little to no effect on our special day. The guests flowed between the courtyard and the spaces off the courtyard and loved the option of being able to sit inside or outside. I did not expect to be wowed by the food, so I was pleasantly surprised when the guests kept approaching us complimenting the buffet. Several people said that the beef tenderloin was the best they have veer had. And I have to say that I think I am the only bride who has eaten two plates at her own wedding. Everything was delicious. I highly recommend Hotel Mazarin for a wedding ceremony and/or reception. Everything from the staff to the space to the food was top-notch. We recently got married at the Hotel Mazarin and the event was amazing. Through the entire planning process, Rachel went above and beyond to help things run smoothly. During the ceremony the Mazarin staff took care of all the details so we could just enjoy the celebration. The courtyard was beautifully setup for the ceremony. The La Louisiane Room was great for the reception for those that wanted to dance, sit and eat, or stand and chat around the bar area. The food was delicious and plentiful, everyone ate well from the foodies to the picky eaters. We also hosted a rehearsal dinner in the Fleur de Lis suite and stayed in the presidential suite; both were excellent. We had an wonderful time at the wedding and the Hotel Mazarin staff deserve significant praise for making the event so great. We recently got married at the Hotel Mazarin and the event was amazing. We cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience at Hotel Mazarin and with La Louisiane! The reception space was so simple but classy. It needed very little decorating. They provided all of the linens, tables, chairs, etc. and mercury candle holders for the tables. It was beautiful. The food was delicious. As a bride, I have to admit that I didn't eat much at the actual wedding but what I did have was really good. The guests raved about the gumbo and the shrimp and grits. We were able to enjoy the food the next day because the hotel sweetly packed up plates and had them sent up to our room for us to enjoy later. Our wedding this September (2017) at the Hotel Mazarin was spectacular. Beginning with the pre-wedding communications (including other vendor recommendations, room bookings for us and our guests (we're all from out of town), answering questions about the space, etc.) and continuing right through the day of the wedding, the catering and hospitality staff (especially Rachel and Gianni) made sure our wedding exceeded our expectations. Everyone at the hotel (front desk, doorman, bellhop, housekeeping, breakfast waitstaff, catering waitstaff, concierge, wedding attendant) made us feel like we were the only guests at the hotel - they were friendly, engaging and gracious! The accommodations perfectly blended an old New Orleans feel with modern amenities (we especially enjoyed the Presidential Suite). Our early evening ceremony in the courtyard was beautiful (we didn't provide additional decorations) and the reception in the La Louisiane space was excellent for a party into the evening (it is better in person than the photos); food and drink were delicious and neverending; everyone had a different favorite dish. And, if you are lucky enough to have Miss Marion as your wedding attendant, your day will be extra special. We and our guests enjoyed every minute and give Hotel Mazarin 5+ stars. Our wedding this September (2017) at the Hotel Mazarin was spectacular. Recently had my wedding here and it was everything I could of ever wanted and more.
They have a courtyard which has a retractable canopy and AC. The reception area is just as beautiful with exposed brick on one wall. The food is amazing! Every guest commented that it was the best wedding food they have ever had. The wedding attendant made sure everything went smoothly.
I will honestly say the hotel and reception staff was the best part of the experience. They were so nice and attentive, it felt like family. I would highly recommend this hotel as a venue option if you are looking for traditional New Orleans courtyard. ABOVE AND BEYOND. I must start with the fact that I am a corporate event planner. My expectations for everything are through the roof. I was overly impressed with the entire staff at Hotel Mazarin. From the moment we got there on Wednesday to the time we said goodbye on Sunday, they made us feel like family.
The food at the reception was spectacular (and I am a food blogger). The rooms were clean and spacious. The breakfast each morning was great. All that aside, Rachel from Mazarin made our day perfect. I knew she had everything under control. We had a hiccup from the photobooth company (they didn't bring our guest signature book or props) and Rachel went out to buy a coffee table book to be used as a guest book and props. She literally saved the day.

My wedding was a dream come true. This hotel was a gorgeous venue and perfect for the amount of people that attended. The courtyard was so elegant and classic. The staff was amazing, they did absolutely everything we could ask for. We originally were scheduled to be married on May 10, but had to push our date back to July and the hotel was so accommodating! We had a personal attendant for the day of our wedding, Ms. Marianne, and she went above and beyond to make sure everything went perfect and that we could enjoy ourselves. She took care of everything from making sure we ate, had drinks, all the presents and decor was brought up to the room, she even sent us an assortment of food from the wedding menu up to the room with a slice of cake for later that night!! We chose to have our wedding at Hotel Mazarin. (Note: this is the former St. Louis Hotel - a lot of locals (taxi drivers, etc) are unaware of the name change.) The hotel is well known for its lovely courtyard. It is a beautiful venue for a wedding, with gorgeous rooms, and a prime location. The only down side to having the wedding there was that music must end at 10pm, even on weekends. It is a very boutique style hotel, so the rooms are not standard sizes and shapes. All the rooms were recently renovated and are lovely - they look exactly like the pictures on their website: marble floors and bath, flat screen tvs, comfy beds, etc. The best room (aside from the suite) was the room we had during our wedding stay. It is a corner room with one set of French doors opening onto Bienville St below, and a second set of French doors opening onto Patrick's Bar Vin's patio and facing Bourbon Street (easily visible from the room). We were thrilled, but with two sets of French doors - that meant you could hear everything happening outside at all hours. So, after the first night, we asked for some ear plugs, which the front desk has readily available - and that took care of the noise. Again, it can be noisy. The prime location means right off Bourbon Street and right in the middle of everything: walking distance to some of the finest restaurants in the world, the French Market and Cafe Du Monde, shopping all around you, jazz clubs, etc. In the months preceding the wedding, we would randomly stop by when we passed through town - to measure the courtyard, see how well the air-conditioning worked in the summer, look at the guest rooms, ask any one of a million questions we had, etc - and everyone was always very nice and accommodating. In planning and having the wedding, I talked to or worked with pretty much everyone working at the hotel at some point - and I found them all to be helpful. Overall, it was a fantastic hotel and we had a beautiful, memorable wedding! We chose to have our wedding at Hotel Mazarin. We were a destination wedding and this was our hotel, the moment they heard that we were their for our wedding the upgraded us for free to a suite. The front desk staff were very helpful and polite. The hotel its self was beautiful, honestly I wished I would have picked this place as a venue because I know they would have done an awesome job and that it would have been way less stressful then our actual venue. All and all we will be staying there again when we go back to NOLA.We were a destination wedding and this was our hotel, the moment they heard that we were their for our wedding the upgraded us for free to a suite. The St. Louis Hotel courtyard is just a magical setting -- even the seen-it-all locals who came to my wedding were blown away. The service was top notch and far beyond what I ever could have expected. Truly magical courtyard
After booking in February 2020, we went through a roller coaster of wedding planning before our celebration at Hotel Mazarin in January 2022. Through staff changes, package offering changes, and all the things that come with a global pandemic, everyone we worked with at Hotel Mazarin was fantastic. Their flexibility, understanding, and pep talks throughout the planning process were so helpful! The new catering, Pigeon, also knocked it out of the park. And thank goodness for that built-in cover over the courtyard, because we had quite the storm roll in with heavy downpour for hours leading up to the courtyard ceremony - staff went above and beyond, even bringing out a shop vac to clear water off of the cover more quickly. The venue is absolutely beautiful, especially at night, and I really enjoyed the intimate feeling it gave. For all places in the French Quarter, I think they offer the best deal on food and beverage, and the food is very good. We had a wedding of about 230 people and everyone raved about the reception.
The wedding coordinator at the hotel was a little laisez-faire at times, but she was very easy to deal with and work out any kinks with. I was a little late on mailing my checks, and they were very sweet about everything. The venue is absolutely beautiful, especially at night, and I really enjoyed the intimate feeling it gave. Beautiful venue but setup was very stressful
We had our wedding and cocktail hour in the courtyard, and the reception in La Louisiane.
The pros: The venue is absolutely beautiful and makes for a very romantic backdrop. The courtyard even has a retractable canopy in case it rains (luckily we didn't need to use it). Other venues either don't have a rainy day plan, or their "plan" will cost you thousands, so this is a definite advantage of Hotel Mazarin. Rachel was very responsive, professional, and easy to work with throughout the planning process. We thought the price was fair, and it was so helpful having a venue that included so many things (linens, tables, chairs, catering, flatware, bartenders, cake, etc.).
The cons: Unfortunately, Rachel was not working on the day of our wedding (we don't fault her at all for this - she absolutely deserves days off and works very hard for them). But without her there, things did not go as planned on the day of our wedding. The staff was supposed to have the courtyard and reception hall set up by 2:30 so that we would have time to decorate before the ceremony began. At 3:30, things were still not done. We ended up rushing around last minute getting things done, having to track down hotel staff to take care of things that should have been done hours ago, and early guests even had to pitch in to get chairs set up in the courtyard. Luckily it all got set up, but it made my day incredibly stressful and it prevented us from taking many of the pictures we had planned.
Bottom line: We're happy we had our wedding at Hotel Mazarin and we think the troubles we faced probably aren't the norm. Nevertheless, check early and often on the day of to make sure things are being set up as planned. We had our wedding and cocktail hour in the courtyard, and the reception in La Louisiane.
