Rebecca made my wedding absolutely perfect! She somehow captured exactly what I pictured without me realizing. She was there all day and kept everything running smooth, and leading up to the day she had everything under control. I felt more relaxed on my wedding day than I thought was possible. If you are planning a wedding, do yourself a HUGE favor and hire Rebecca!

Professional, mature & thorough!

I am so glad I found Sarah A. at La Boum... I struggled finding the right planner when I was searching because I was still figuring out some details and was also looking for someone who had that "auntie" energy. I didn't need everything instagram-able and over the top (even though everything was beautiful!). Sarah helped me narrow everything down, talked me through everything, and was SO organized and polished the whole way through. I don't think I would have been able to do it without her. And I gained a friend through it all!

Sarah is beyond amazing!!!

We had Sarah at La Boum Events as our wedding coordinator for this summer and she was absolutely amazing!! I couldn’t imagine if we didn’t have her and I know I would’ve never survived!! She is in tune with every little detail and has the perfect balance of knowing when to follow the lead and when to take charge I was blown away. I (and our guests!) felt the wedding was as absolutely amazing, went smoothly, and so much fun, and I know it was because of her. The groom and I wouldn’t have ever been able to enjoy as much as we did, without her, either. She went above and beyond our expectations, is an absolute gem to be around, and I wouldn’t hesitate in suggesting her for anyone else’s wedding!!! If you have a chance to use her, don’t hesitate!

Everything I wanted in a wedding planner!

Sarah was 20/10 AHHHMAZING. I am so thankful for her help on the day of our wedding day and the days leading up to t. She was always a voice of reason, good advise and the human embodiment of sunshine on our wedding day.

She truly cared about what my husband and I wanted and took what we had to say to heart. She prioritized our vendors and made sure to organize them so I didn't have to. She worked very closely with my mom who organized a lot of the wedding and guests.

One of the most important reasons I wanted a wedding planner was to take any stress away from my mom and parents so that they could enjoy the day and she did exactly that.

Sarah, I am so thankful for you and your help making our day so perfect. AND for following me around all night pinning my dress that everyone at the wedding seemed to step on!

Stellar And Unforgettable

This was the best possible experience I could have had with a wedding planner for my adventure elopement. From the moment I contacted Rebecca at La Boum Events, she went out of her way to make our special day better than we ever imagined. She listened to my wild and complicated ideas of a beautiful setting somehow brought them all together and staged everything so we could see how it might look. She coordinated with our photographer and added special touches at my request. She even handled the delivery of some special props. I felt so relaxed on our wedding day and I couldn't imagine doing it any other way. She was worth every penny and more!

Couldnt have done it without them

If you're even remotely thinking about using wedding planning services with LaBoum GO FOR IT! You will NOT be dissapointed, If I could give them 10 stars I would.

Holy cow what a luxury it was and what special memories we created because of them.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Sarah Albourn and Rebecca Kopperud from LaBoum events. When I reached out to Rebecca, who owns LaBoum, she helped me figure out what kind of service would best fit our 150 guest, Palmer, AK wedding planning needs. We decided on the ‘day of coordination’ services and were assigned Sarah Albourn who did nothing short of completely blow us out of the water. She was absolutely incredible from start to finish. We met a few times to talk (at length) about our wedding expectations over coffee and she helped us develop the perfect timeline for our special day.

Having a wedding planning professional just a text or phone call away was priceless. She helped with so many aspects of our day from the smallest details to the big ‘oh god help me’ moments. She ran our rehearsal the day before the wedding seamlessly and kept us and all of our vendors on track on our wedding day. I legitimately don't know how we could have done it without her. It was so special to not have our closest loved ones running around in circles and instead we could all relax and really enjoy the moment because Sarah had us all taken care of. We legitimately miss her and are so grateful for everything she did to help us have the wedding of our dreams

An Unforgettable Elopement Thanks to La Boum!

When my husband and I decided to get married/elope in Alaska (being from Florida) we knew we would need some guidance on tying the knot in a different state. We worked with Laura from the La Boum team and she's the reason we had such a stress-free day and wonderful experience! She coordinated with the vendors (something I was so stressed about doing), answered my numerous questions (because I had NO idea what I was doing) , and even married us! I can look back on that day and honestly say it was our best day ever, in large part to the support, guidance, and organization of Laura and the La Boum team. If you are even slightly considering hiring an elopement coordinator for your big day, whether you live right down the road or are coming all the way from Florida, I would STRONGLY recommend working with La Boum Events for your special day!

Girdwood Elopement

Our experience working with Rebecca was amazing! From our first consultation she was attentive and excited to share her knowledge with us. La Boum's extensive details on how to elope in a different state were one of the reasons that made our experience so easy! The packages offered were comprehensive and flexible to include exactly what my husband and I were looking for! We felt completely comfortable letting Rebecca and her team handle all of our elopement details. Day of, Rebecca and her assistant were professional and attentive. They let us know that we could remain flexible due to the weather, but everything worked out perfectly for our ceremony in Moose Meadows! Overall, our entire experience was so much more exciting and special than we could have imaged! Thank you Rebecca, and La Boum for helping us create the perfect wedding elopement!

Best decision we made!

We decided to look into a wedding planner about 4 months before our wedding. We got married at a venue that has some challenges— like no running water on site. I was overwhelmed by some of the other decisions like table design. We went with the basic planning package, which was perfect because I had already booked a lot of the major vendors. We worked with Laura and she was fabulous! She was extremely responsive and helped us think through all the details. The day of the wedding I didn’t have to worry about anything and just enjoyed it— exactly what you want on your wedding day!

Best decision ever!!

As the mother of the bride, I knew I needed help with my daughter's wedding, but didn't even know what to ask for! My dream was for the wedding to go off without a hitch, and that all the key members of the wedding party and family could just relax and enjoy the day. LaBoum was recommended to me and I chose the package that would help with the "day of" coordination. I can say with all sincerity that this was the best decision I made. Laura spent time with my daughter and son-in-law prior to the wedding getting to know them, and the dream they had for their wedding day. She helped coordinate all the tiny details...from the vendors, to the decorations, to who was carrying the rings! Our dream came true. The ceremony and reception were PERFECT! Not one problem. Everyone, including me, relaxed and enjoyed this most blessed event. I am eternally grateful. I will recommend LaBoum, and Laura, to everyone I know.

Truly one of the most important expenses and LaBoum delivered!!

About 4 weeks out from our daughters wedding, I realized I truly could not do it all even with 15 relatives willing to help out. Laura Wilson, La Boum’s wedding coordinator immediately called me to
finalize the details, walk us through rehearsal, and manage the entire wedding day - organizing vendors, communicating with all and making sure everyone knew where they were to be at any given minute.
I was able to take it ALL in, eat the beautiful buffet, sip the champagne, take photos, dance and most importantly BE THERE to FULLY experience our little girl marrying the love of her life!!
Without Laura’s attention to detail, tireless organizing, “seeing” things before they happened, and noticing when they shouldn’t be happening, the wedding would not have been the PERFECT day it was. My large family of 15 set up everything the day before so it was just the “day of” management we needed. It was an expense my reluctant husband now sees as a “no brainer” when budgeting for a wedding. La Boum, thank you and to Laura, your steady presence was an absolute blessing.

Professionally Flawless and Wonderful!

Lana at La Boum did the most amazing job! Very organized and detail oriented! I am a perfectionist and felt completely at ease with her running the show. You cannot get a better coordinator. Our wedding day went perfectly all due to her efforts. I am beyond impressed with the quality of service....do yourself a favor and hire them to take care of your wedding! You will not regret it :)

I had a vision of what I wanted our wedding celebration to be, but neither the time nor experience needed to make it happen. Laura was amazing at helping me put it all together. Our wedding was very "DIY" and there were so many of details I never would've thought. The Week-Of Coordination services were exactly what I needed to ensure the day happened without any setbacks. La Boum was one of the best decisions we made around our wedding planning, hands down. My husband and I decided to have a wedding in Alaska, though we live out of state. We knew we needed to find someone we could trust and depend on to help us plan the wedding from a distance. La Boum was highly recommended and did not disappoint! From my initial conversation with Rebecca, to our work with Laura (who ended up being our coordinator), every t was crossed, i was dotted and every concern or question I had was solved and answered (and I had a lot, trust me!) Laura was patient, informed, calm, helpful, kind, and incredibly generous with her help and time. She listened to us, guided us, and helped us to have the wedding of our dreams. A friend told me that a good wedding coordinator will keep all problems hidden from the couple on their big day, allowing them to float through the day with no concern or worry. That is exactly what Laura did! In fact, she is so good that there weren't any issues because everything was carefully planned and thought out in advance. I would ask for Laura's help again in a heartbeat, and would recommend La Boum to anyone looking for professional, high quality, and AMAZING event planner. Rebecca and her team were integral in the success of my wedding day. I couldn't have been happier with how everything came together. Being such a detail oriented person, intricate details were incredibly important to me so having Rebecca present throughout the entire planning process put me at such great ease. I was confident that my wishes, worries and concerns were taken care of, which allowed me to relax and actually enjoy my wedding day. While planning a wedding from Washington, Rebecca made sure the entire process was as easy as possible. WOW! We absolutely cannot say enough great things about Rebecca and her team at LaBoum events. They delivered a perfect day to us. Rebecca was so great in making sure that everything went smoothly and fixing behind the scenes issues as they came up, unbeknownst to us! We don't know what we would have done if Rebecca and her team were not there on our wedding day, and both agree that purchasing her services was the best decision we made during the planning process.

Rebecca and her team were extremely hard-working, paid great attention to every decorative detail, and managed all of our vendors on the day of, allowing us to sit back and enjoy ourselves. She also checked in with each of us occasionally throughout the day and seemed to genuinely care about our happiness on our wedding day.

My now-husband and I worked with La Boum for wedding week coordinating services. Laura Wilson very ably handled the needs of our wedding day. We appreciated the attentiveness she showed to matters at the ceremony and reception. For example, she made sure that we had a chance for food, drinks, and cake, and brought thing to us (it was a mid-afternoon wedding, so, we had finger foods/ appetizers rather than a plated meal). This attention was helpful, as, being the bridal couple, we might not have had much chance to eat otherwise, what with greeting and thanking our guests and so forth. She also had good advice (ex. when we did our sendoff, with people throwing wildflower seeds, she prepped us that we would be walking into the wind, and to keep our mouths closed... advice for which we were most grateful). These are just a couple of examples of ways that La Boum strove to make our day enjoyable, and to provide attention to our wedding day needs and comfort.

I also want to say that La Boum provided some really helpful ideas and organizational tools. For example, there was a survey regarding what we were looking for in our wedding. It was detailed, and was definitely helpful in considering aspects of the wedding that might not have otherwise crossed my mind. It was precisely because an event coordination services have this sort of experience and expertise that I was glad to be able to work with La Boum.

Absolutely book this vendor if you're looking for a fantastic and committed staff to make your event exactly what you imagined! I loved working with La Boum. Definitely worth every penny! I was blown away by the commitment and the professional attitude shown by Rebbeca and Laura. They were very flexible and legitimately excited to see our ceremony go perfectly. I honestly feel like Rebbeca and Laura bent over backwards to make our ceremony amazing. They worked with us to find the perfect site, they also organized our cake, flowers, officiant, and photographer. Everyone they work with is the best. I can't recommend La Boum enough!!

Having Laura Wilson as our wedding planner took a lot of stress off of our shoulders. My husband and I were able to enjoy the events leading up to the wedding, rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, and even the day of craziness because we knew someone had all the details handled. Without having Laura orchestra and run the show we would have been pretty lost and definitely spent our big day stressing about minute details. Laura was a pleasure to work with, highly recommend her to any couple planning their wedding in Anchorage or Girdwood.

La Boum Events knocked it out of the park for us on our wedding day. We had Laura as our "on the day" coordinator and she was awesome. She went above and beyond our expectations. We wouldn't have made it through our wedding day without her.

We hired La Boum events for day of wedding coordination. Laura with La Boum Events was a life saver. We were able to enjoy our wedding day knowing that she had everything under control. Laura was professional, organized, calm and able to answer my hundreds of questions. We had zero problems on the big day. I only wish we had booked La Boum earlier in the process to include all the wedding planning. Don't do everything yourself!

Rebecca & her team were amazing. They took care of every little detail & made sure that they put 110% into making all our dreams become a reality. My fiance (now husband) & I had a family trip to Alaska planned with his two children (ages 12 and 10). In March we decided to get married on the trip & surprise the kids. I plan events for my company (with over 125 guests) and he knows how stressed I get so he said the only way we would do it was if we hired someone to help. Enter La Boum. I spoke to Rebecca to explain how our needs were different since there were only four of us. We needed help with other logistics such as selecting an officiant (we wanted a Native Alaskan to marry us), ordering flowers and a cake, suggesting vendors, and picking up the groom and best man's tuxes from Anchorage bringing them to Girdwood for a groom's fitting, then bringing them to Talkeetna for our wedding. I also needed someone to received and steam my dress along with the maid of honor's as well as help me get dressed. Rebecca was more than accommodating and we signed our contract (to include a butterfly release!). Laura was our event planner and she was always calm and always helpful. She found us a perfect officiant (Judy) and after one phone call with me they wrote the most amazing introduction and vows for our ceremony (since neither my fiance or I like to be the center of attention or are not much with words). They helped keep the secret from the kids until the day of and I was able to enjoy my vacation leading up to our wedding (which was our last night in Alaska). I was very calm that day (which is unlike me on event days). Everything went off without issue and we thoroughly enjoyed our day. We took the shuttle into Talkeetna for photos & back at the Lodge Laura cleaned up our mess in the bride's room and gathered all our belongings. When we returned she waited as we changed and took the tuxes and dresses with her to return to the shop and ship back to me. The week leading up to our wedding, anything I needed Laura made it happen (including searching for a micro sd card for my future stepdaughter's new camera).

Laura from La Boum was fantastic to work with. We planned our wedding from California and her knowledge of our venue (Alyeska Resort) and with the best vendors in the area made it much easier to plan and brought us a ton of relief. My husband and I were pretty particular about each of the ceremony details and the decoration details as well, Laura nailed every single one. Not to mention we had to ship a few boxes from California and Laura graciously received them at her home and got them to the venue safely! My only tip to those planning a wedding is that La Boum has a ton of different assets you can use for the wedding, but they do charge for the rentals, we mistakenly thought they were a part of the package we bought. Not a big deal at all because Laura went above and beyond in other ways. Last but definitely not least, my family is constantly late and stressing me out, she was able to manage them with a polite but assertive attitude that made everything go smoothly on the wedding day. :) Thanks Laura!

From the beginning I had my wedding planning done halfway, feeling overwhelmed I called Rebecca to sit down to talk, 2.5 months before the big day. From the start of where she begin planning for me and from the last day, she was on top of everything from talking to the band, and the officiate, and also getting my ideas down to the last perfection. I had a big beautiful wedding and loved filled day, every second was just the way I wanted it to be and even more! You can count on Rebecca and her crew to do the over the top party and put all the faith in them, even though I was nervous and on edge, but it happened the way I wanted it to be. Thanks to LaBoum and to Rebecca for an amazing dream wedding.

Laura Wilson at La Boum Events is AMAZING. I am a very detailed oriented person and Laura was just the person I needed. Right from our first consultation, I knew we would work well together. Our wedding day was perfect because Laura handled all the vendors very well. She is a great listener and professional. I highly highly recommend Laura. She was an enormous help especially the day after the wedding. Without asking her; she had already delivered, cleaned, and packaged our rental items to our vendors. Again, Laura Wilson creates an atmosphere where your guests feel welcome and she has a positive attitude and a beautiful smile :)

We hired La Boum (Rebecca) for the "week of coordination" package and are really glad we did. They were great! Rebecca made sure everything was set up perfectly and ran smoothly for the day of, directed the rehearsal, and made sure everything overall lived up to the vision and dream my husband and I had been working on all year. Through the consultations along the way, we got the reassurance and guidance we needed to make sure everything came together great.

I would highly recommend that one gets this service! I got the Week before Coordinator. It was so stress reliving to have a professional there to help pick up last minuet items, help plan the actual wedding. Coordinate where people were suppose to be and when. Help the groomsmen but on the boutineers. Laura kept track of everything, and even helped decorate the reception area, with all of the bridesmaids and friends. She helped me, the bride, keep sanity on this stressful, happy event.
It was also really helpful the La Boum Events had different coordination services. I planed my entire wedding and desperately needed help at the end. Hence why I got the Week Of coordinator. La Boum Events were one of my best purchases for the entire wedding. They even traveled down to Homer, Alaska for the wedding which was really nice.
I have been telling everyone that Laura saved my wedding. So thank you Laura, and thank you La Boum Events.

We hired Rebecca at La Boum Events as the day-of coordinator for our wedding day. Rebecca and her staff did an excellent job of making our day appear seemless to our guests (and most importantly, us!) by taking care of all of the last minute details and changes, setup and vendors. She was incredibly helpful during the planning process, and while we only needed her services for the day of, I knew that she would be an excellent planner and resource had we required more assistance. Rebecca is a great listener and strives to meet your needs in every regard. I really appreciated her flexibility when it came to scheduling meetings and especially surrounding the rehearsal and day of our wedding--she clearly wanted to make sure that no loose-ends were left untied. In a nutshell, it was so great to know that the choreography of our wedding day was in good hands! I would highly recommend her to anyone!

my wedding was put together extremely quickly and sight unseen for the entire ceremony and reception; I was so impressed with how beautiful and timeless the style in which Rebecca put my wedding together with was. It was a wedding fit to be on the cover of Martha Stewart!!!

La Boum Events put together and ran a great wedding party for my wife and I. We did not even notice that we ran out of food. La Boum coordinated and worked with the caterer and vendors in a professional but urgent manor so not to interrupt the event.

We were also very pleased with how the room was prepared and decorated. Thank you La Boum!

Rebecca is fantastic. We had the wedding of our dreams this past summer at the Tern Lake Inn in Alaska and hands down this would not have occurred without her.

When choosing a planner I was looking for someone who listened to what I was envisioning, could provide creative input to enhance that vision, and was professional & organized, hard working, and connected to area vendors.

Rebecca did not disappoint on these dimensions and after meeting her I have to add two features not included on my original list: pride & passion. What comes across strongly from Rebecca is the immense pride she has in her business. She was 100% committed to ensuring high quality & excellent service. Her passion & pleasure in the work were quite apparent and she has clearly found a niche that she enjoys.

1. She devoted time to understanding my vision and followed up if additional clarity was needed
2. She is creative and always suggested an alternative when elements of my vision could not easily be achieved
3. She was communicative & provided continuous updates on progress
4. She went the extra mile with setup and design, and kept the vendors on schedule - adjusting timing as needed to ensure we got through the ceremony and reception smoothly.

Another reflection of an individual is the people they surround themselves with. The vendors that Rebecca recommended were outstanding & talented - even guests commented on how friendly & wonderful everyone was. Rebecca suggested guitarists (the talent displayed transitioning between classical & contemporary pieces was remarkable), bartenders (the fireweed cocktails were delicious), and a caterer for dessert (a separate review is required just to capture Melissa).

In summary, if you plan a wedding in Alaska and want to reduce anxiety, and increase confidence that you'll have an event that exceeds expectations, you'll save yourself a lot of time & stress by going with Rebecca & her team. They're awesome.

We used La Boum as ourDay-of coordinators and Rebecca and Hannah were awesome! We were not planning on having any coordinators at all, but about 1-2 months out, realized how much we had gotten ourselves in for and decided to try and find someone. La Boum came highly reccomended from our DJ (R&R who we also loved) so we immediatly made an appointment to meet. Upon our first meeting we liked them and could tell we were in good hands. We loved the pre-wedding support they provided; contacting vendors, checking in with us on timing, helping to MAKE the timeline, attending and running the rehearsal, set-up, and clean-up. We felt like the money we spent was well worth the extra security of knowing the day which we had planned and saved for for over a year was in good hands! They were professional, quick to respond, helped on our specific needs, and very cheery.

Leading up to our wedding and on the day of, Rebecca, owner of La Boum Events did a fantastic job as our wedding coordinator. She took the time to help me figure out what we wanted out of our wedding, since we did not already know. From there she provided plenty of guidance and assistance in the planning and preparation. If nothing else, her services were worth it for the day of our wedding to be the "go-to" person. She coordinated with the other vendors to help the day run smoothly with out my husband and I even noticing. The flow of the day was so smooth, we were able to fully enjoy ourselves and our special day. I would highly recommend Rebecca for the services she provides, it is well worth it, and at bare minimum, her day-of service.

Rebecca was very friendly and down to earth but still glam, which is what a bride needs when she's trying to plan a complicated wedding! La Boum had a wonderful variety of wedding planning services; we went with a more basic as it was cheaper. Rebecca did an excellent job of corralling everyone for the rehearsal dinner, and setting up a timeline of events (which really helped since everything felt a little overwhelming), and going beyond what was expected, and we appreciated that. On the big day, her and her staff set up our wedding decor beautifully and to my expectations; she even had to take time out and help me into my dress because my mom hadn't shown up yet. I'll recommend her to other ladies getting married.

My husband and I live in California so we were planning our wedding remotely. We didn't meet Laura, our day-of coordinator, until a few days before the wedding so all communications prior were done via emails or phone. Laura was responsive and helpful in answering all our questions. When we met Laura, it was clear that she is a pro at event planning. Running by the event flow and schedule with her was a breeze. She had anticipated issues that might arise and changes that might be needed during the wedding. Even a few minutes before the reception we had to make some last minute changes to the rundown and Laura was able to execute it smoothly. My husband and I wouldn't have enjoyed our wedding if we didn't hire Laura as our coordinator.

Laura and La Boum Events helped plan and execute our Bird Point (Girdwood), Alaska elopement. La Boum made it very easy for us to customize a package that was "all-in" for our day: hair, makeup, flowers, minister, champagne, and cake. SO STOKED to have the help of Laura Wilson and the staff of La Boum Events for our Moose Pass, AK wedding on June 11. After all the stress leading up to it, I have to admit that I was the calmest I've been in, literally, years on our wedding day. And everything was amazing. I really can't express what a difference their efforts made and how beautiful everything turned out - it was exactly, if not better, than I had imagined! Kudos to La Boum, your efforts exceeded our expectations! I also loved all of the decor and the assistance/effort of Rebecca for coordinating that and doing some serious work of her own to pull it together. It was all so, so lovely. After seeing photos and having some time to reflect on our day, I am just happier and happier with how it all turned out. So many people have commented on how lovely everything was, and how it was one of the most beautiful weddings they had ever seen. A HUGE part of this is due to La Boum's efforts.

I also have to add that there was a very special surprise by my groom that couldn't have been coordinated without a lot of extra work from La Boum. And it was by far an incredible and unexpected moment during our night. I have edited my ratings to better reflect the wonderful experience of working with La Boum. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them!
