I can't say enough great things about our wedding experience with Labarcaza. The entire experience from booking, to the actual wedding day was exceptional. Agota was so extremely helpful in getting everything organized in the months leading up to our trip, and the team on the day of, executed the day like absolute professionals. The food, drinks, music, atmosphere were amazing! I wouldn't change one moment, thank you Labarcaza! ❤️ -

I’m not sure where to start with this review. Firstly if anyone is considering booking La Barcaza for a wedding or event just do it! We booked our wedding for 16th December 2024 just less than a year ago. The correspondence with Agota from start to finish has been the absolute best, she is friendly, informative, professional, and just utterly lovely answering my ongoing queries, some really random ones. Payment, once you stop being technophobe like me, was really easy through WISE.
Fast forward to the day of the wedding, Helouise (our Punta Cana based wedding co-ordinator) was also super friendly, organised, and professional. She made sure it was her job to stress, not mine (not that there was any hic ups or anything to stress about). She was an absolute diamond.
We did the beach wedding, and the beach was set up beautifully, with a gorgeous gazebo, two massive floral arrangements included as well as chairs with covers for around 30 guests. Looked stunning and the setting was absolutely idyllic.
Things which I remember being curious about before hand “Will I get wet on the speedboat?” – NO – the lovely guys bringing in the speedboat carry the bride onto the boat and they go so slow from beach to boat/boat to beach that you don’t feel any spray whatsoever. “Do we need a DJ to have fun” – NO – if your party is bigger and you wish to then that would be a bonus, but we absolutely didn’t for our small group. “Will we get sea sick” – NO – we had people on board who do suffer, but La Barcaza stays by the natural pools, and is so still you don’t feel anything, even travelling back to Jellyfish beach you don’t really feel much movement.
The cake was absolutely gorgeous and sooooo tasty, and definitely catered for more than the 11 people we paid for.
The La Barcaza staff on board our boat were absolutely gorgeous, so friendly (we got big hugs upon departure), couldn’t do enough for us constantly asking if anyone needed drinks etc and the food was out of this world. Everyone on board said it was the nicest meal of their holiday. So much food too, I felt guilty leaving quite a bit but the adrenalin just meant I was so full. My only regret is not getting the extra hour, as our time sure did fly by and my little boy would have liked longer having a swim after our wedding/reception meal. That being said, timings of our wedding meant that shortly after we were headed back the weather did cool a little and everyone was so tired on the way back after our 3 hour cruise that it did work well.
The cake was absolutely beautiful and sooooo tasty and definitely fed more than the 11 people it was paid for.
La Barcaza ensured we had the most perfect and beautiful day and we will be forever grateful. Thank you once again, all who were involved with the planning and on the day itself. We can’t ever thank you enough. Natalia, Ian and our little Liam. x

I had a five star experience with them. From the food on the boat which was excellent to the private beach experience. Everything was fun and professional. The pictures came out excellent which we used their photographers. Also we also had a driver assigned to pick us up and drop us off as well. Dj drinks you name it. A the price for everything was really good. They even offered to provide witnesses and everything. I would definitely recommended again -

Thank you to Heloise, La Barcaza crew, DJ Bello, the photographer and videographer! They were all great and kind. Everything went smoothly!
Our guests enjoyed the food, drinks and music with the amazing backdrop!
Ceremony location/setup was beautiful and we pretty much had the beach all to ourselves. (No bystanders with bathing suits!!!) However, it was really hot (no breeze), so good thing we had paper fans for our guests and some brought handheld fans. We also added popsicles for dessert to cool off on the boat!
Highly recommend for anyone that wants a unique wedding!! -

We were going back and forth whether to do a dinner or a boat party for our welcome party and when we saw La Barcaza and all the positive reviews we knew we had to book this. Booking was extremely easy and the communication was seamless. The team was able to accommodate everything from the food/alcohol, to hours we will be on the boat, to the music we wanted, everything! There was never any issues from the booking, selecting the menus, all the way to picking us up from our hotel. We had about 100 people on the boat and the staff were super helpful and took care of everything we wanted. The DJ played great music and had all of the guests dancing the entire time. The food was amazing and came out at the perfect time, and the drinks were flowing. I know it says its recommended to book the extra hour and I could not agree more. You will regret not doing the extra hour like we did! This event was all the wedding guests were talking about the rest of the week. Thank you again to the amazing staff, you took amazing care of us. You should be booking La Barcaza yesterday, do not wait up! -

We chartered with La Barcaza for a wedding welcome party. The staff was very friendly, the food was AMAZING, and we had a great time partying the day away! They are competitively priced, especially with the amazing meal that was included. We had the "Fishermans Grill" menu, and some of our guests who don't even typically eat seafood ate their whole plate! Everyone had a blast snorkeling and swimming, and the very hot day felt much much cooler under the shade of the boats first floor. From the booking process to the trip itself, we highly recommend booking this company! -

Dream Boat ~ LA Barcaza
This event was definitely one of the highlights of our wedding. We booked this event to show appreciation to our guests for attending our wedding. Although, our wedding was held on the resort, this experience was so memorable. The crew was awesome and Daniel was amazing. We took an evening cruise and it was absolutely beautiful. Absolutely what we needed to finally put our feet up, relax, and have fun! -

So Much Funnnn!!!
Looking for a fun time to spend with your friends and family, La Barcaza is amazing to do just that. We’ve been on multiple catamarans in the Dominican Republic but nothing compares to La Barcaza. The boat is huge! Daniel and the stuff were great! The food and drinks were on point. We were a party of 80 guest and everyone was comfortable and the food was more than enough for everyone to go for seconds. I would definitely recommend to add an extra hour because I promise you will have so much fun that you will not want to leave. -

We booked our wedding with La Barcaza for June 2022. It was PERFECT! As a bride, having someone else coordinate the entire day was amazing. We did have to change the time of the wedding due to new restrictions on the water but it was easy to accomodate! Dani was very easy to communicate with and answered every question/concern we had in a timely manner.
The day of the wedding was soooo perfect! I was actually able to get changed into my dress on the boat on the way to the ceremony spot so that it wouldn't get wet while getting onto the boat. The decorations were absolutely perfect and exactly what I had imagined. The ceremony was short and sweet with a mini photo sesh to follow. Once back on the boat, dinner was being served and it was delicious. The cake was the best cake I've ever had and the guests loved it as well.
The party/dancing was a blast - the DJ made sure to play everything we requested and was so much fun!
It's been 2 weeks and my family and friends are still talking about how it was the best wedding they've been to. So amazing!!! Thank you again, Dani! -

I highly recommend hiring Daniel and the whole La Barcaza crew for your wedding venue. I was nervous planning the wedding being out of country, but my expectations were completely exceeded! The boat, decorations, flowers, DJ, food, and photographers that Daniel arranged were amazing. The easiest and most stress free way to plan a wedding because they did everything!!! We had our long delayed wedding with La Barcazza on Dec 17, 2021. To begin with, they were absolutely wonderful with us when we had to change our date 4 times due to vivid restrictions. Daniel was a delight to work with. Our wedding was everything we had dreamed of an more. The setting is unique and beautiful and this is a truly a one if a kind experience. The decoration on the boat was beautiful and the food was absolutely amazing. I can not say enough about all the staff that we interacted with, they were second to none. We did add an extra hour onto our wedding and am glad we did, well worth the extra money and I would highly recommend. -

Amazing and perfect wedding day thanks to Daniel and La Barcaza!
The La Barcaza wedding experience was perfectly arranged from start to finish by Daniel and the La Barcaza team. We were in awe from the moment we arrived on the boat, throughout the whole wedding ceremony on the private (really private!) beach, right until the end of the party where we all jumped in the water to finish an amazing experience and an unforgettable day for us and for all the guests that participated!
Communication went very smoothly from first contact to the end of the party.
Everything (decorations, wedding cake, food, drinks, ...) was even better then expected and taken care off to the last details!
We appreciate the whole effort and commitment invested by the whole La Barcaza team to make this an amazing and unforgettable wedding ceremony and celebration for us and all our guests!

La experiencia de boda en La Barcaza estuvo perfectamente organizada de principio a fin por Daniel y el equipo de La Barcaza. Nos quedamos asombrados desde el momento en que llegamos al bote, durante toda la ceremonia de boda en la playa privada (¡realmente privada!), Hasta el final de la fiesta donde todos nos lanzamos al agua para terminar una experiencia increíble e inolvidable para nosotros y para todos los invitados que participaron!

We celebrated my husband’s 40th birthday with a boat dinner on La Barcaza Wedding and Party Boat. And it was by far, my favorite part of our trip to DR. Everything… I mean EVERYTHING was perfect. Daniel and the staff made my vision come to life! The decor was beautiful, the food was delicious, the staff was so friendly and helpful, and the DJ had us vibing during dinner and twerking afterwards. The boat is beautiful and huge! The photographers (provided by La Barcaza) captured some beautiful shots of everyone on the rooftop. I asked my husband what was his favorite part about the trip and he said, “the boat party”! Thank you to everyone at La Barcaza for helping make my husband’s birthday an epic and memorable one!! -

We had our reception on La Barcaza and it was absolutely the most fun I've had in a long time. The Staff ,music, food , decorations and open bar was amazing. Initially, I was skeptical because the price was so much more reasonable than our resort was offering for its wedding reception. After reading tons of reviews through multiple websites, I decided to put my deposit down, which was scary since I’m from Texas and had never been nor did i know anyone who had been to Punta Cana. But after getting there and meeting in person, I felt MUCH better. The food, water, crew, and drinks were wonderful. Altogether, for 3 hours of drinks, music, and the lobster, we paid about $1200 for around 20 people. If it hadn’t been for covid limiting our time on the boat, we would’ve absolutely purchased another hour or so. It went by VERY fast. -

We had just used La Barcaza for our wedding on April 1, 2019. It was an all around amazing experience! The ceremony location on the private beach was beautiful, and the meal (fisherman's grill) was some of the best food we have had! The DJ was excellent to work with as we had brought our own music for the ceremony on a tablet, and the music for the party was great! He was excellent to take music requests while partying as well. We also just received our wedding video and absolutely LOVE it! Start to finish, the coordinators made it an incredibly easy experience planning, and when the day finally arrived they went over and above making sure everything was flawless, allowing us to thoroughly enjoy our day!
10/10 recommend!! -

Beautiful venue
This is a great private event boat! It was an 4 hour durations which included a amazing DJ! Our tour was as sun set with a beach wedding ceremony. The service provided was awesome. The crew help asssist on and off the boat, and insurers everyone is safe. The food was really and we had open bar. I'd suggest La Barcaza for anyone planning a event and want something different then the normal hotel venues! Thanks for help making my day great! -

This review is long overdue, we had our wedding reception with La Barcaza after our ceremony at our resort on July 27, 2017 with 37 guests plus us and couldn't imagine doing it any other way. The packages they offer make the process so simple to plan and the prices are very reasonable. We booked 4 hours (6p-10p, perfect to get some photos before the sun sets), was able to bring our own decorations that they set up for us, our own photographer/videographer from home, they made amazing food (fries, grilled chicken & steak, plaintains), had an open bar, gave guests the chance to jump in the water, had a DJ who was easy to work with when we had to send our songs for first dances and my surprise hula dance over, provided pickup/drop off and even were able to get us a projector when we asked if we could show a video. The whole planning process was simple and easy. They were so easy to work with and the staff the entire night was so kind and even partied with us. I didn't have to worry about keeping on schedule as they did all that for us. A couple days before the wedding they even come by your resort to finalize all the details. I'm always raving about what a great experience this was and how it took our wedding (and our wedding video!) to the next level. All of our guests talk about how they've never been to a wedding like ours. Highly recommend La Barcaza if you're getting married in Punta Cana. What a beautiful setting with stunning views to celebrate such an important occasion! -

Amazing experience!
We celebrated our wedding in November 2018 in Punta Cana and it was amazing! The staff was incredibly on top of things and more than accommodating. Daniel was invested in our happiness which was very nice. We had a beautiful ceremony on the beach and an amazing dinner and party! The DJ was awesome and took requests. I wore a ball gown and they literally carried me into the boat! The drinks we tasty and the bartenders were fun! I can’t say enough good things about them. It was amazing.
The coordinator met us at our resort and finalized everything to a T.
The day of, the huge coach bus picked us up and we were on our way! It was a party from start to finish.
I was nervous hiring a company off resort but put those fears aside! They are amazing. Have fun, and understand you’re in the Caribbean getting married!! You’re gonna get sandy and a teeny bit wet from the water with transferring to the boat but that’s the fun of it! Take it all in :) -

Our wedding day with La Barcaza was incredible! We were married with them on January 6, 2019. We had 34 guests plus ourselves, which fit on the boat perfectly. We did the symbolic beach ceremony with the reception on the boat to follow. Daniel and Brigi were my coordinators, Wedding Photography Punta Cana were our photographers and videographers, and Makuto Deejay was our DJ.
Brigi and Daniel took great care of me in the weeks and days leading up to the wedding. They answered emails quickly, were so accommodating with my requests and used their experience to help me make the best decisions to make the day go well. We met at our resort 2 days before the wedding to finalize all details and make final payment which was wonderful and gave me peace of mind going into the day.
We had a nice bus right with AC to the beach, then took small boats to La Barcaza. We had to step into shallow water to board the dinghies, but the crew was great to help anyone on that needed it to avoid getting wet. The water to the ceremony beach was deeper and one of the crew carried me across it! When we arrived on the boat, they already had drinks ready for us! The setting was so beautiful that very little decoration was needed to create a special atmosphere on the boat. There ceremony set up on the beach was beautiful. The beach was smaller than I anticipated, but it fit our group size perfectly. Daniel officiated our wedding and allowed me to provide my own script. The DJ was very accommodating with my requests to start and stop songs at certain times. There were a few small blips in the ceremony (a couple mispronunciations and misunderstanding of when to start the final song) but honestly it is just part of the things we will always remember that made the day special. A champagne toast was provided to my husband and I after the ceremony!
We took photos/video on the beach after the ceremony and Martin, Sebastian and Javier were a dream to work with. They instantly felt like we had known them forever. They knew the perfect places and poses for photos.
After we finished photos and arrived back on the boat, they served food almost immediately. I was so happy with this because my least favorite part of weddings is the part were your guests are starved out waiting forever to get to dinner. We had the grill menu and everyone enjoyed the food. The steak particularly was so delicious!! One guest said our wedding meal was his favorite meal of our whole week in Punta Cana.
The reception afterwards was a ton of fun for everyone. The DJ was great about asking questions to make sure all of the music was what I wanted. We added 2 hours for 5 hours total and everyone was still dancing when our time was up; no one was ready for it to be over.
Brigi, Daniel and the boat crew handled spur of the moment issues so well! One of my bridesmaids forgot her bouquet on the bus and didn't realize it until we were already on the boat. They sent someone back to get it and had it back to us so fast, before we even got to the ceremony beach. Then after the ceremony, all of my guest sat at the dinner tables before my husband and I and left no 2 spots next to each other for us to sit together. Instead of making everyone move, the crew instantly had a small table for 2 set up in the middle of the rest of the tables which was actually better than sitting at the big tables.
It was such a unique wedding experience and I wouldn’t change a single thing about our day (except perhaps adding 1 more hour!) Everyone working with La Barcaza truly wants you to have the best day ever and will do anything they can to make that happen.

The staff was great, the food was as good as the reviews stated, and the location was outstanding. I would like to give a special note to La Barcaza's event coordinator, Agota. Agota was an absolute pleasure to work with, and helped to facilitate all of the details of the wedding and reception. Her attention to every detail and quick response time to questions by email made planning very easy. I would recommend La Barcaza to anyone. Thanks again to the La Barcaza team.

Jessica Sent on 06/21/2018Just had my wedding in June. Aircon bus pickup from my hotel with a separate transfer for me and my bridesmaid. I could honestly go on and on about how amazing this place is but there are only so many words. I had started my wedding planning at my resort but all the "extras" were turning out to be on par with having a wedding in Canada. La Barcaza had everything I needed included and when I did want something that I felt was actually extra it was at a reasonable price. Every email I sent was answered within minutes and any provlprwas sorted out until I was happy!! No nosey onlookers during my ceremony, food and cake amazing, dj fabulous, ugh I could seriously go on forever. Do yourself a favor!!!!

We decided we want to do something different for our rehearsal dinner and booked La Barcaza for our Wedding Party. It was absolutely AMAZING! We also brought along or photographer, Junior Cruz to capture our experience! Honestly it was a day I'll never forget! The staff was great and treated us like family❤ I can't wait to return to Punta Cana and visit them again. Thank You for memories my guests and I will never ever forget❤
