I first came across Kristi Telnov’s work on my venue’s website. One image stopped me in my tracks, and I immediately asked who the photographer was. As soon as I found her name, I went straight to her Instagram and within seconds, I knew she was the one. Every image she shares tells a story. Not just a pretty moment or a posed smile, but a cinematic, emotional narrative that feels timeless. The level of intention, artistry, and depth in each frame took my breath away. As a visual artist myself, I could instantly recognize the soul she brings to her craft. There’s nothing generic about her work. It’s textured, romantic, and strikingly beautiful. I wasn’t just looking for someone to document my wedding day. I wanted someone who could capture what it felt like. Kristi is that kind of photographer.

I also shared with Kristi a few insecurities I had going into the day. At one point during portraits, I remember standing in a position that would have typically exposed my “bad side.” I didn’t even realize it until after the fact, but Kristi must’ve sensed my unease. She showed me the shot on her camera and reassured me with a simple, unforgettable line: “No, there is no bad side? It’s art. See.” And she was right. That photo, the one I was initially unsure about, ended up being one of my absolute favorites in the entire gallery. It captured something real between my husband and me, and I’m so grateful she didn’t let that moment pass.
One of the things that stood out to me most was how Kristi captured the moments I shared with my sons. As a fellow boy mom, she understood the weight of those small, sacred interactions. Whether it was a quick glance during our first dance or a quiet moment just before walking down the aisle. I could feel her heart behind the camera, like she was photographing them the way she would her own. The photos were more than portraits. They were living, breathing memories. My son’s shots looked like they belonged in a GQ magazine, but more than that, she captured the bond between us in a way I’ll never forget.

Let me start by saying Kristi is a magician with posing and lighting! I still can’t believe how incredible my wedding photos are. I look at the album every day!
Eight years ago my cousin hired Kristi as the photographer for her wedding. I remember seeing the photos and thinking wow these are beautiful, unique, different, and artistic. I MUST hire her when I get married! Kristi was the first vendor I reached out to just a couple days after I got engaged because I had to make sure I could book with her. She is an absolute dream to work with and her work speaks for itself! There is no other photographer in Pittsburgh like Kristi. I highly recommend booking with her if you are looking for absolutely stunning photos to remember your big day! My husband and I are over the moon in love with our wedding photos. Kristi and her videography team Olga were such rockstars from the start of the day till the end of the night! At their hearts, they are creative artists who use the film and lens for their canvases! Their editorial style work, vision for how light dances with the shadows and their ability to see a 4-dimensional image created the most amazing wedding photos we have ever seen! We had such high expectations, and they blew those completely out of the water! Kristi made us feel like supermodels and they truly make you feel so comfortable! We have gotten so many compliments on how stunning our photos are 🤍 -

Wedding photography!!! Kristi is amazing!!! You need to hire her!!!
Kristi is so talented and her work is absolutely beautiful! I booked with her almost two years out from our wedding because I KNEW I had to have her photograph my special day. She was so helpful and answered all of my questions from the beginning to the end! On the day of my wedding, she made me feel so comfortable in front of the camera. I am so awkward and am not sure how to pose and she helped me with all of that. She had us doing so many different shots and poses, I couldn’t wait to see the pictures! She captured so many special moments from our day and when I saw her sneak peek photos, my jaw literally dropped!! She really captures the raw moments and I will always be grateful that. We had several photos printed from her in several different sizes, ordered a leather back 50 page book and ordered two parent books! When we received the book and went through it, the memories came flooding back from that day. I am so thankful for Kristi and her amazing work. I will cherish these pictures and moments forever. From the start, Kristi was wonderful to work with. She made sure to get all the details to truly work her magic and fully apply her artistic touch the day of the wedding. This girl pays attention to details you would’ve never thought of! Kristi’s direction was very much appreciated in the posing for the pictures, I loved that she made sure every shot was just perfect (though it may feel awkward lol). She has an amazing talent and will leave you blown away with the beautiful pictures. Professional, understanding, prompt, artistic, edgy, the list goes on. Pictures speak for themselves. My husband and I hired Kristi as our photographer for our engagement photos and wedding. Truthfully, she is worth every penny! I told her that I really wanted photos in an antique car, but I hadn't had much luck finding one. She posted on her social media page, and within days put me in contact with a friend of hers. It all worked out perfectly, thankfully it didn't rain! The car was absolutely perfect, and I never would have found it without Kristi's help. The photos are truly extraordinary.
Before I met Kristi, I felt nervous about how to pose in our photographs. Immediately after working with her, I felt completely at ease. The direction that she provides feels natural. She also knows the best locations for taking photos. We shot some pictures in an alley in Pittsburgh, and they look like they belong in a magazine. She is truly an artist, and I am blessed to have had her as our photographer.
If I had to do it all again, I would not even hesitate to hire Kristi. I love her work, her energy, and her positive attitude. She will go above and beyond to ensure your pictures are everything you have always dreamed.

Amazing Experience with Kristi Telnov Photography
Kristi photographed our wedding back in May, 2018, and my wife and I couldn't have asked for a better photographer. We had heard from friends and reviews that she was the person to go to for top notch wedding photography quality, and they weren't wrong. She stuck with us all day and even stayed a little after the time amount we had paid for just to make sure she got the best shots she could. Her personal 1 on 1 shots as well as her whole groups shots were perfect. She handled the guests professionally and was a joy to work with. Thank you, Kristi! -

Cara Sent on 03/22/2018Kristi is an artist and the best at what she does! She takes time to get to know her clients and capture them in their element. All her photos are natural and elegant. I also must compliment her on her willingness to take chances and try new things. For example, my husband and I ran through a flock of birds for 15 minutes to capture the most amazing action shot on our wedding day. One year later as our family is now three, we booked her again for a family winter photo shoot. I was nervous with the weather but Kristi buddled up and spent the time to capture the most amazing photos we will cherish forever. We plan on booking Kristi again as our family continues to grow and make new memories.

She captured such beautiful moments and I'm finding it beyond challenging to pick my favorite photo. I can't tell you how many people, including guests of our wedding, complimented how amazing Kristi's work is. She will be the first person I contact when I need future pregnancy and family photographs done.
