The BEST of the best!!!

Kristen was truly incredible. She's kind, flexible, and brings exactly the right energy that you and your partner want on your wedding day! We had so much fun working with her throughout our wedding weekend (we substituted welcome party coverage for engagement photos since we currently live out of town -- this is an awesome perk!), and the photos she captured were truly magical. We felt completely at ease with her and Susan (her second photographer), even as people who don't normally feel super comfortable in front of a camera. Additionally, her pricing is incredibly fair and transparent. We are truly amazed at the album we received. It took us several weeks to go through all of the photos as there are SO many good ones, from organized shots to candids. Kristen was EVERYWHERE on our wedding day (it was a long day -- her stamina was incredible), and it was so fun to look back through all of the photos and get to relive our guests experience in addition to our own :) Hire her -- you will NOT regret it. Total MVP!!!

The Best Vendor!

Kristen is amazing!! Getting the photos back made me feel like I was back at our wedding day. Kristen is incredibly talented and her photographs are works of art. We were blown away by our wedding photos. Hiring Kristen to be our wedding photographer was one of the best decisions we made. She is super easy to work with, kind, and warm—the exact kind of person you want on your vendor team on your wedding day. Kristen made sure to get our list of shots that we wanted for our wedding day beforehand and on the day of, she was organized and efficient in getting those photos. She also made our family and wedding party feel comfortable in front of the camera.

The best photographer!

Having Kristen as our wedding photographer was one of the best decisions we made for our big day! From the very beginning she was very responsive and extremely attentive to detail. Once she arrived on our wedding day she provided such a calm energy (that a handful of my wedding party noticed as well!) that eliminated all the stress in taking wedding photos! We had a large bridal party and family and she was able to get our photos done quickly with enough time for us to enter cocktail hour! On top of all of that, our pictures turned out beautiful and just the way we envisioned them. She is truly amazing!

The most amazing photos!!!

JUST BOOK HER!! I cannot compliment her enough. Kristen is amazing. Her photos are stunning and she is so easy to work with. She does such a great job of making you feel comfortable throughout the whole process. We received so many compliments from our engagement photo shoot and our wedding day!! Her editing is beautiful but very natural. It was everything we wanted and more!!!

Fantastic Photographer

Kristen is an amazing photographer! Our wedding day was windy, but she captured everything so beautifully. We stayed on schedule and got all the shots we wanted, including golden hour photos. She was very flexible to work with regarding pricing (some packages include an engagement session, which we didn't do). We are very happy with our experience and would recommend her.

Highly recommend!!

Kristen photographed our wedding in August 2020 and was amazing! She was professional, organized, and so warm and kind leading up to the day as well as on the wedding da itself. She made sure we got all of the group photos we had requested, as well as so many great candid and unstaged photos all in an efficient manner. She did a wonderful job of taking photos while still being subtle and unobtrusive to the flow of the day. The turnaround time on us receiving our full wedding photo album was so impressive and we could not have been more thrilled with how the photos turned out! Kristen and her second shooter, Susan, really have an eye for lighting, background, and the perfect shot and I highly recommend her as a part of your wedding day!

Simply wonderful!

Our experience working with Kristen was simply wonderful from start to finish. At the onset, she spent a generous amount of time on the phone with us walking through her services and way of operating (so organized!!). This made it very easy for us to make the decision to work with her. Kristen is so warm, friendly and easy to work with. She was very flexible and go with the flow - when we asked her to focus on capturing candids and "in the moment" experiences, she did just that. She sent us a "sneak peek" handful of photos immediately after the wedding as a fun teaser, and upheld her commitment to post our wedding to her blog within 2 weeks, followed by sharing the full album within 1 month. We are so happy with our photos. We highly recommend working with Kristen!

A joy to be with on our wedding day!

Working with Kristen Gardner for our engagement photos and our wedding day was a dream come true! Kind & Patient Photographer & GREAT Photos

Kristen was phenomenal to work with. She brought a high degree of professionalism along with her genuine and kind personality. She communicated with us very well in the lead-up to the wedding, and did a great job capturing the event without being obtrusive. She worked well with herding all of our families into one space for the posed pictures, and she has a GREAT eye for candid shots. She also worked very well in tandem with our videographer, Erin Sellers (whom we also highly recommend). In sum, she's everything you'd want out of a photographer on the day of your ceremony: professional, courteous, unobtrusive without missing the moments that matter, and gifted with a keen photographic eye.

Following the wedding, Kristen continued to be amazing. A friend who could not make it to the ceremony reached out to her before she had even finished the proofs and got a great photo of us to print and send. We love the photo and appreciate Kristen for working with our friend!

Kristen uses a very convenient website that you can use to download and share the photos and order prints (your family and friends can order prints directly too!). She also provided us and our parents with a lovely printed wedding album that we all love.

You will not go wrong with Kristen!

Great experience and photos

Kristen was friendly and personable. She managed to make a largely unphotogenic couple shine in many lovely photos, and capture wonderful scenes with family. We were very pleased with her choices around location and angle, and hope to work with her again on future photo needs. Logistically, our collaboration was easy and effective, and she turned around the photo album and recommended folder surprisingly quickly. My wife and I recommend her to other couples without reservation.

The most AMAZING and talented photographer!!

I don't even know where to begin with Kristen. She is AMAZING and you would be silly not to hire her to be your photographer! From the first day chatting with her, we knew she was so organized and would be a perfect fit for our day. She knew exactly what pictures were important to us and it was so easy to pose for pictures with her guidance. It felt so natural with her and the picture portion of the day was so easy! She also got along with everyone (us, our vendors and guests, etc) making the whole day even more enjoyable than it already was! And lastly, our gallery came back within a month (!!) and we are beyond obsessed with the high quality images and experiences she captured. Outstanding

Warm, funny, yet somehow invisible, Kristen managed to extract amazing images from our daughter's wedding. She combined film and digital with a superb sense of light which created both nuanced and radiant shots of the ceremony and bride and groom. Really fast turnaround (think next day) for previews and within 2 weeks for final gallery. Recommend highly.

Kindest and most talked photographer

Kristen Gardner and her team are the absolute best...and I am not just saying that. Kristen is the sweetest and kindest person you will meet and just puts everyone at ease. Talented, Kind, and Friendly

There are a variety of things that stuck out to me about Kristen and made my experience with her wonderful. Any individual thing can seem small, but in all they totaled to a bride (me) who felt completely at ease and is in love with the pictures. Leading up - Kristen's communications were clear, her pricing structure was tailored to fit my unique needs, and her responses to any of my questions were timely and well thought out. Day of - Kristen was clearly in command of the photography, and directed a (very) non-photogenic couple in a way that made us comfortable, and turned out beautiful and natural pictures. Additionally, Kristen is kind and thoughtful. I've had multiple family members contact me after the wedding just to tell me how nice she was to them. The pictures - it is clear Kristen captured images that are not only beautiful, but really feel like the captured the spirit of myself and my (new) husband. They aren't cookie cutter, they reflect the couple we are... and I couldn't love them more.

So enjoyable to work with!

Kristen and Ali were AMAZING!! I wish I could give them 10 stars! They were patient, flexible, fun to be around, and made taking pictures in 100 degree weather relatively painless - keeping us inside or in the shade as much as possible. They checked in with us throughout the day/night to make sure they were getting all the right shots, and when time got tight they helped us figure out which family pictures were essential, and which we could nix - since we wanted time to enjoy the cocktail hour some.

We haven't gotten all of the pictures back yet, but the ones we've seen are bright, natural, and fun - exactly what we wanted for our summer wedding. My entire bridal party GUSHED over how enjoyable it was to work with Kristen - and I truly cannot recommend her enough for those in the area!!

I found out who I was going to marry in October 2017, but I knew that Kristen would be my wedding photographer long before that! I have been following her work for the last decade. She is truly amazing. You can feel confident that Kristen will go out of her way to capture every single image that is important to you. Her skills behind the camera are UNMATCHED; however, even better than that, Kristen has a natural ability to make everyone in your wedding party feel unbelievably comfortable. Kirsten Gardner is simply amazing. Before selecting a wedding photographer, my fiancé and I reviewed her work and thought everything looking beautiful but we were still worried about how the process would go, having never had professional photos done. Within about the first five minutes of meeting Kristen, that all went out the window. She is a very kind and genuine person. Any nerves we had were eased and we could not wait to work with her come wedding day! And on the wedding day, she was a dream. Everyone felt incredibly comfortable around her. She had fun with us but she was also super-efficient in capturing all of the group, bridal party, and family portraits. My husband and I were able to be natural, with Kristen gently guiding and capturing perfect memories. And the results were just stunning. I look at the pictures and relive the day over and over. We are so thankful for her. Cannot recommend Kristen more and we cannot wait to work with her again in the future!

Kristen was by far one of the best vendors we selected for our event. Besides being one of the kindest and most dedicated people you will meet, her pictures are breathtaking in the way she captures the emotions, colors and general feeling of the day. She not only made us look fabulous, but every pictures brought back a breathtaking memory. There are so many fabulous ones we would have to create a multiple albums to document it all! We have already asked Kristen to help us with some family portraits and I would use her time and time again. She really gets it and understands what you want to remember about your big day. I've worked with other photographers for events before and she is hands down the most proactive, communicating, professional photographic artist I've ever worked with. She sent a Fancy cookie hand made with our wedding date congratulating us, a care-package to remind us to take a breath, and then a collection of pictures so stunning I honestly can't begin to decide which to print. We love Kristen! I can't say enough nice things about her. She just got us and was amazing to work with. Kristen is AMAZING. I wrote a long review and attempted to copy/paste here- apparently there is a character limit, so here is the abbreviated version (which is hard, there is so much to say!!)

From the very beginning, Kristen was a true professional. When we met her in person, I KNEW it was a perfect match. Kristen is energetic and genuine. She listened to us, asked us what we were looking for, and spent time just getting to know us. She explained her process and answered every question we had. Kristen goes the extra mile during the process- she checked in on us multiple times, and even mailed us a care package!! Kristen knew that we had been so busy with wedding planning, she sent us a sweet card and some goodies... that's the type of person that she is, and she truly cares so much. I used her for a boudoir session prior to the wedding- it was SO much fun. I was a little hesitant at first, but Kristen made me feel comfortable and the pictures turned out AMAZING! We laughed about it and had such a fun time! The engagement session also turned out amazing- Kristen photographed us at one of our favorite outdoor places- she captured the afternoon sun and the leaf change PERFECTLY- seriously, the pictures are amazing!!! Kristen even expedited the engagement pictures to us because it was so close to our wedding date - again, she goes the extra mile. At the wedding, she brought a second shooter and was able to capture all of those little details that were happening. She was VERY present, but no one felt as though there was a 'camera in their face'. She was methodical and systematic in taking the family pictures- she capture all of the combinations of people and families- working tireless as the sun was setting. Kristen does her homework- she knew the names of all of the family members and wedding party too- its that personal touch that makes such a difference! We WILL be using Kristen again, and we most HIGHLY recommend her to anyone!!!!

We absolutely loved having Kristen as our photographer. There were a couple of key criteria we were looking for in a wedding photographer, and Kristen exceeded all of these. First of all, her pictures are beautiful. She really knows how to capture your best side - but still make it look like you. We felt very strongly about taking more classic and traditional pictures - nothing cheesy, hokey or that we would be embarrassed about 10 years down the road. That totally fit Kristen's style. Second, and perhaps just as important though, was how easy Kristen was to work with. Her personality fit exactly what we wanted - she is calm, but incredibly positive and encouraging. During the wedding, she completely blended in - we never knew she was there, but when we wanted her to take a specific picture, she seemed to magically appear. We used Kristen for both our engagement pictures and our wedding - and we couldn't be happier with both events.

Kristen is AMAZING!

I am SO SO SO happy that I found her during my search for a wedding photographer.

From the very first phone conversation that I had with her, I felt instantly comfortable with her. She was very thorough and helped me to come up with a schedule for my special day. Not only that, but she was always available to me, responding to emails and looking at photos that I liked. Also, she sent adorable surprises after booking/the week prior to our big day. These personal touches make her services even more memorable!

My husband and I were married on a Wednesday in a very small, intimate ceremony. Kristen is so personable and friendly, it feels like you are talking to an old friend that you've known forever. She made us feel comfortable during the entire photography session and was very easy going as the schedule changed (as it usually does on wedding days).

She put up a sneak peek the day after the wedding and after seeing those photos, we are even more excited to see the finished product in the upcoming months!

If you are in the area and you want a fantastic photographer who will make you feel great and produce beautiful photos, I would highly, highly recommend Kristen!

Kristen was such a pleasure to work with! I strongly recommend hiring Kristen for not only her stunning photos, but her personality as well. Kristen was so cheerful and made taking pictures (something I normally don't like) really fun. Her prices were very reasonable considering the package includes a second shooter. I thought it might be awkward to have someone follow us around for hours on end, but Kristen blends in seamlessly and is a joy to be around. Definitely a no-brainer to hire Kristen!

Kristen was so AMAZING!!!! She did such a perfect job with the bridal photo shoot and the wedding. She even sent 2 sweet care packages prior to the wedding - she seriously goes above and beyond in all aspects of the day. She arrived early, stayed late, was extremely professional, was so sweet to everyone (even when everyone wasn't listening and people were telling her how to do her job), the list goes on...always while keeping a calm & energetic attitude and big smile on her face. She didn't miss a single detail and was such a positive fun person to have around! Her blog posts were perfect too and I just loved all her pictures. They look natural and very bright & beautiful. I can't say enough good things about her...I definitely recommend her to other brides!!!! :)

Kristen Gardner is an absolutely beautiful person inside and out. She is so wonderful to work with and a truly talented photographer. She is such a happy and positive person and really takes the time to get to know you as a couple. Her enthusiasm is contagious and you can't help but have a great time when she is taking your pictures. We did engagement photos with her as well and at first I was a little timid because I don't really like being the center of attention. Well by the end of the session she felt like an old friend. I felt totally comfortable around her and it showed in the pictures. She did an excellent job with both our engagement and wedding photos and we couldn't be happier with our amazing pictures!

Kristen is an amazing photographer and so wonderful to work with. I stumbled across Kristen's blog after searching for photos of my venue and absolutely LOVED what I saw. I have yet to see wedding photos that I like more than Kristen's work. She has the ability to take beautiful, timeless, and natural photos. Her style is just so sophisticated and dreamy. She really knows how to use natural light to take beautiful photos.

Kristen took our engagement photos and our wedding photos. My husband and I aren't completely comfortable in front of the camera, but Kristen has such a sweet, fun, up beat personality that made it incredibly easy to work with her. She was able to direct and position us to capture some really great shots. She made sure we got all of the shots that we wanted during our wedding. Her second shooter for our wedding was also very nice and great to work with.

Kristen is very responsive by email. She was very flexible when we wanted to add additional photography coverage time during our wedding. We had absolutely no issues while working with her.

Kristen's work really speaks for itself - all of her photos are stunning. She is definitely worth every penny. Brides spend so much time, energy, and money on their weddings that it is definitely in their interest to get a photographer who is experienced and talented like Kristen who will capture their wedding perfectly.

Kristen was our second photographer for our wedding, but we were so moved by our situation and what she did for us that I wanted to share with everyone looking for a photographer. An emergency caused our photographer to be unavailable with less than a week left until our big day. The news spread quickly and the photographer community was overwhelming with their support. Specifically, Kristen impressed us as she offered her services for the second portion of our day- knowing her daughters birthday was that morning. It meant so much to us and touched us that a wedding, let along of two people she had never met before, was important enough to capture. We absolutely adored working with Kristen. She is great to work with and her personality sets the tone for the day. She is witty, nice and full of emotion herself. Photography is her passion and it shows in her work. Her images were sent to our main photographer for editing and proofing but from what we have seen, we are beyond impressed and amazed. I highly recommend Kristen for any event and hope to get the chance to work with her again in the future!

Disclaimer: We haven't received our full set of photos yet, but what we've seen so far, we absolutely love.

The photography for the wedding was very important to us. We met with several photographers, but when we met with Kristen, we fell in love with her photography style and her great personality.

At the wedding, Kristen did a great job of helping us feel relaxed and comfortable. This really comes across in the photographs. We look natural with genuine smiles. Kristen and her assistant also did a great job helping us move quickly and seamlessly through all the (sometimes stressful) family and group photos. They made sure everyone knew where to be and moved everyone through quickly without feeling rushed.

John and I really enjoyed (even though we thought it might be awkward) the time after the ceremony when it was just the two of us walking with the photographers. It was a great chance for him and I to debrief and have a moment together away from all our guests. We also were so happy that we did a first look (even though I had been initially opposed to it). Kristen did a wonderful job capturing the moment while making us feel like we were the only people in the room. The photographs really capture the overwhelming emotion and happiness.

All night Kristen and her assistant did a great job of always being nearby and close enough to capture each special moment without being intrusive or in the way. They were there to capture my adorable nephew and niece dancing or if guests wanted group shots, but we never felt like they were in the way.

We absolutely loved working with Kristen and whenever we decide to start a family, we will definitely call on Kristen's photography skills again!

I absolutely LOVED working with Kristen. She is so nice, funny, and overall great to work with. My husband and I first met Kristen at her office in Warrenton. We were immediately impressed by her work and loved her personality. Our engagement session happened to be on one of the hottest days in June, but our pictures turned out beautifully. You couldn’t even tell we were sweating like crazy! Kristen is also super flexible. She adjusted a few things within our wedding package and even stayed a bit longer to capture our late night snack at the reception. 5 days after the wedding she posted a few pictures on her blog to hold us over until after our honeymoon. The few pictures she posted are absolutely stunning! I can’t wait to see the rest! I would highly recommend Kristen for your wedding. My fiance and I had the pleasure of working with Kristen Gardner over the past year and a half. I originally met Kristen when she photographed another wedding that I was in, and loved her easy going, friendly and flexible style. After attending this wedding and looking at photos on her amazing wedding blog (which you must visit), my fiance and I contacted Kristen about our own wedding. From the beginning, Kristen was attentive and flexible. We first worked with her when she did our engagement photos about 7 months before the wedding. She made us feel at ease and we loved the photos when we received them. We also received a few unexpected lovely surprises from Kristen during the months leading up to our wedding, including a super cute save-the-date cookie and a "relaxing night in" package that came with a movie and some treats. We were so impressed with Kristen's thoughtfulness and special touches. Prior to the wedding, Kristen asked us to provide her with a list of family photos that we wanted to make sure to get. With the help of the other photographer that Kristen brought to the event, they made sure to capture each and every one. In addition, Kristen has a great way of photographing other special things like the rings, shoes, etc. Also, Kristen was very flexible regarding her packages. She included an extra hour in our package and let us know that we could always add on the album afterwards. About a week after our wedding, Kristen had some of the images up on her blog and we love them. We can't wait to see the rest!

Kristen Gardner is AMAZING! I never knew my wedding could look so beautiful, and her brilliant eye had a lot to do with it. I still look back on my wedding photos on a regular basis and think how happy I am that I chose KG as my photographer, because I will never get tired of looking at the pics!

Qualities that make Kristen awesome: she is incredibly sweet (sent us a pre-wedding "date night" package that was pretty much the nicest thing ever), she is so easy to get along with, she is responsive, she feels like one of your old friends is just at the wedding and happens to be taking pictures, and most of all, she is so talented.

I would recommend her to anyone I know getting married, and plan on doing that with each of my friends just so I can hang out with her again! :)

When you work with someone over more than a year; planning, meeting, and discussing, you not only get to know that person as your photographer, but you also get to know them as a person. Kristen Gardner is not only an amazing and skilled photographer, but such an amazing person! She was so wonderful over the past year +, answering my emails and questions, and meeting with us whenever we needed it. She put such a personal and caring touch to everything she did for us.

Kristen was fantastic from day one. She was kind, professional, flexible, and gracious in answering every little question I asked before my wedding.

She gave us amazing engagement photos and captured every moment from our wedding day. She was very professional throughout the entire evening, found great spots to take photos, and seemed to take at least one photo of every one of our guests. Kristen and her assistant braved the bitterly cold weather with us for many outdoor photos, all of which were stunning.

I very highly recommend Kristen for your wedding and any other portraits you wish to have. I certainly plan on using Kristen for future milestones in my life.

Kristen did a fantastic job at the wedding taking our photos. Emily, myself, and our family loved how she handled taking photos of the family. She was relaxed, calm, gave clear instructions, and captured all of our to-do items. I have heard of some photographers getting upset with people not being around for photos but she would change around what to capture while waiting for all parties to be around. Also she didn't mind other family members crowding her taking the same photos while she did. She also was 7 or so months pregnant which was very impressive!

Kristen Gardner is a joy to work with. It is like working with an old friend, rather than a wedding vendor. She has such a unique eye for photography. Kristen is a very talented photographer, and she has a great personality to go with it. Kristen was flexible with us in building a photography package that fit our needs. And, she was willing to go whereever we chose for our engagement photos. We are more than impressed with the end product. I had seen Kristen's work from a few of my friend's weddings and knew that we wanted her for our wedding before we even found a venue. She offers a lot of different packages to fit with any budget which we found really helpful. Her work is stunning and speaks for itself. We communicated with her from abroad for 6 months only over email but eventually got to meet with her at our venue. It was her idea to meet there and worked out really well so she could get ideas for shots in advance. Kristen was so flexible and positive throughout all of the planning and a joy to have at our wedding on the actual day. Both she and her assistant were so easygoing and sweet that I almost forgot they weren't guests! We're really happy with the pictures we've seen so far and could not recommend her more highly.

Kristen Gardner is a rare photographer. Her professionalism, talent, and personality encouraged both my wife and I from the start. We both would highly recommend that you visit her website and browse some of the pictures she's posted on her blog (www.kristengardner.com/). Kristen met with us and was incredibly efficient in her communication (before the wedding day, during and after the event). There was little clarification needed. She was also very flexible and willing to work with a tight budget, as we had to drop a couple of the extras that are usually included. We can vouch for her incredible talent to capture even the "little moments" of the wedding, as she and her husband both did. Kristen was absolutely amazing to work with! I had researched dozens of photographers and after talking with Kristen, she came out on top. She is so kind and was one of the most responsive vendors that I've worked with (something that was very important to me.) Her pictures of our wedding are breathtaking - and she made my husband and I feel completely at ease - which can be especially difficult for my husband who doesn't like getting his picture taken! I just cannot say enough wonderful things about the quality of her work as well as her professionalism. Kristen was personable, easy to work with and easy to talk to. She took our ideas into consideration and had with a photo-journalistic approach that caught our day beautifully. We were very pleased with her work.
