Katie from Kreate Photography was absolutely crucial in making our wedding day a success. From our first conversations, it was clear how much she cared about understanding our vision and capturing every moment that mattered to us. She was incredibly patient and supportive, and always made me feel understood and taken care of. Katie worked seamlessly with our planner to build a rain contingency plan for our fully outdoor venue, which ended up being put to the test when an atmospheric river rolled through Sebastopol on our wedding weekend. Even though we only got a few sprinkles during photos, Katie helped us make the most of those moments and kept everything fun, relaxed, and full of good energy. Her calm presence and great direction were a godsend! And the photos - wow. They turned out so beautifully and truly captured the joy and spirit of the day. We’ll cherish them forever. On top of everything, Katie embraced our non-traditional ideas like documenting our wedding jump house photos, which ended up being some of our favorites. She was creative, flexible, and genuinely excited to bring our ideas to life.

We honestly can’t recommend Katie and the team at Kreate Photography enough. From the very first phone call, we connected through our personalities and our love stories, and I knew she was the one. In what can be such a stressful wedding planning experience, she immediately made me feel calm, secure, and truly supported, and I knew I needed her by my side on our wedding day.
From our engagement shoot through to the wedding day and final gallery, every part of her work has been an absolute masterpiece. Our photos were a perfect combination of unique, natural, portrait, and editorial, while being filled with genuine emotional moments between us and the people we love.
On the wedding day itself, she was so much more than just a photographer — she was a friend, an advocate, and a coordinator all in one. She made sure everything ran so smoothly, gracefully managing requests and navigating family dynamics, all while making sure every one of our photo dreams came true.
One of our favorite things was how effortlessly she captured everything — all the big and small moments — without us ever feeling like there was a camera in the room. Her presence was calm, kind, and incredibly professional, and it made such a difference to the entire experience. Because of her, we were able to truly relax, be present, and fully enjoy every moment of the day without stress.

Sometimes you meet someone and instantly know you’ve found your person. That is exactly how I felt after my first conversation with Katie. She was quick, witty, and the perfect complement to my (equally type A) personality. After a few photographer interviews, I told my fiancé, “I’ve found the one.”
From our engagement shoot to our wedding weekend, Katie made everything feel effortless. She captured us so naturally, balancing precision and calmness with such ease. She is a true professional who managed to organize 40+ people for group shots without anyone feeling bossed around, all while keeping the mood light and fun.
Katie photographed our engagement session, a small family wedding, our welcome party, and our big day. Somehow, she brought the same incredible energy, excitement, and love to every single moment. She has a rare gift for blending into the background while still making everyone feel seen and comfortable. The photos are stunning, but more than that, they feel authentic to who we are.
She also connected us with our amazing videographer, Eli Contreras, and makeup artist, Marisa Perel, who were both incredible. We truly had a dream vendor team, and it all started with Katie. She is one of a kind, and I could not recommend her more highly.

I cannot say enough good things about Katie and the Kreate Photography team. Katie was the lead photographer at our wedding in San Francisco on 10/11/25, and she also shot our engagement photo shoot and rehearsal dinner. At our wedding, she had a second and third shooter join her as well.
With Katie and the Kreate team, the big things were dialed in and squared away with such professionalism and ease: Katie was diligent in planning the details of our wedding day - she worked to have an efficient shot list (my husband has a BIG Italian family), kept us on time and even ahead of schedule, and had a perfect plan for the entire day. She organized herself and her team to be as efficient as possible - shooting the bridesmaids and groomsmen at the same time, doing detail shots at the same time as couple shots, etc. Katie and her team have been in this industry for a long time and it shows – they knew exactly what to do and when to do it, and my husband and I didn’t have to stress at all about being in certain places or ensuring we got all the shots we wanted. My husband has a huge Italian family, and let me tell you, Katie’s work with our large, extended family photos was a thing of absolute beauty – she learned everyone’s names and had specific directions for each of them, including when and where they needed to be in family photos. We got done with 8 HUGE family photos (with upwards of 85 people in them all together) in 20 minutes, giving my husband and I a minute to ourselves before joining cocktail hour. It was truly amazing!
While Katie and the team have the big things dialed down, what really impressed me was the little things. During one of the photos with my husband, I realized my breath smelled– Katie reached into her bag and handed me a Listerine spray to take my anxiety away about it. When our 14-month old flower girl was crying during a photo, Katie’s second shooter Vanessa made silly faces to make her smile. When my husband I got anxious and overwhelmed with the chaos of the day, Katie guided us through a moment of taking a deep breath and just being together – something we didn’t realize we desperately needed.
One of the best things I can say about Katie is the comfort and positive attitude she brought to our engagement shoot, rehearsal dinner, and wedding day. We first met in person for our engagement shoot; my husband and I are not comfortable in front of the camera and have no idea what we're doing - we told Katie this, and she made us feel instantly comfortable at ease in front of the camera. She gave us natural movements to do along with our poses so that the photos came out more candid and truer to us. When it came to the rehearsal dinner, she captured the essence of the night beautifully without interrupting us or catching us in any unflattering moments (like eating or sneezing). And of course, we had felt so comfortable with her on our wedding day because of the relationship we’d built. Her team is just as vibrant and kind as she is, and so they made us feel right at home too for our special day!
And of course, the photos are absolutely amazing! The team is incredible at posing, capturing authentic moments, and editing. I also appreciated the easy-to-use website to view the photos and ability to order prints and photo books right from there!
Katie and her team will be more than a team of photographers for you – they will be your supporters, cheerleaders, therapists, and friends. Your photo team is who you spend the most time with at your wedding, so I knew I needed to be around a team that brought positivity and good energy, while still delivering an incredible product – and that’s exactly what Katie and the Kreate team did. I am eternally grateful to them and know we will continue to use them for future maternity and family photo shoots!

Katie and her team are the BEST to work with. She was the first vendor we booked after our venue! Throughout the entire wedding planning process she was along to offer advice, support and go above and beyond for us. AND THE PHOTOS. We got our sneak peeks and swooned over how beautiful they came out. The team did an amazing job with capturing all the moments and editing them to be these elegant, timeless photos that we can’t wait to have displayed in our house forever. We were so happy with our experience working with Katie for our wedding and the photos turned out absolutely perfect! Katie made us feel really relaxed from the first conversation, and the engagement shoot was the perfect warmup to help us feel more comfortable in front of the camera.

TL;DR - Kreate Photography flawless executed our Healdsburg, CA October 2023 wedding day from the planning all the way through the reception. I would absolutely recommend this business.
We first found Kreate Photography through a google search, and then it was recommended by our venue and planner. Our first interaction was a phone call (we are out of state and unable to meet in person) with Katie to discuss budget, timeline, and desired aesthetic. Katie really helped us understand what we needed to think about when considering a photographer, and she had multiple packages to choose from.
We opted to book a package that included one photographer at the ceremony, reception, and golden hour and a second photographer for part of that time. Something that I greatly appreciate about Katie is that when the wedding grew closer (and RSVP's started coming in) and we had a better idea of final costs, she worked with us to expand our package. We ultimately added "getting ready" photos and more time with the second shooter.
Additionally, we had a videographer from another vendor, and Katie's team was able to work seamlessly with her to capture our day. We LOVE how the photos came out, and would most definitely recommend Katie and her team to anyone. Special thanks to Emily who really listened to our specifics helped make our day perfect forever. -

I found Kreate Photography tagged on my wedding venue’s Instagram and instantly knew I had to have Katie shoot our wedding! Her style was exactly what we wanted – beautiful, natural lighting and the most special, intimate moments captured on film.
Katie was incredibly responsive and accommodating from the start - on our intro call, she was warm, knowledgeable, and made everything sound so easy and exciting. I knew we would be in great hands and felt so excited and confident about working with her for our wedding. I can’t emphasize enough how Katie lived up to this and more! From timeline planning, to collaborating with our planner and other vendors, we had no worries on our wedding day because of her expertise and our trust in her.
And the photos?! We absolutely love our engagement and wedding photos and so, so grateful we have so many beautiful moments captured on camera. We are so happy that we hired Katie as our wedding photographer. She is communicative, kept things running smoothly the day-of, and we were so blown away with the photos from our big day (and engagement shoot).
From our first conversation, we felt that we were in capable hands with Katie; we appreciated her experience, confidence, and communication. Working with her for our engagement and wedding shoots was also a breeze!
Leading up to our events, Katie was very responsive and answered all of our questions (even consulting on our wardrobe selections!); she also gave us some very helpful advice to shape our getting ready timeline.
For our engagement shoot, we ended up having to go with a second-choice location due to weather, but Katie worked with the rain, and the photos turned out better than we could have imagined.
On our wedding day, Katie and her second shooter Vanessa captured so many gorgeous photos that we will treasure for the rest of our lives. They selected all of the most scenic spots at our venue and captured a great variety of poses, people, and details.
When selecting a wedding photographer, keep in mind you will be with them all day, and Katie is someone you will enjoy having by your side! She is fun, professional and firm yet polite when needed (when wrangling family members and bridal party!)

I could not be happier that I found Katie in my search for wedding photographers - she is the best of the best. From our first conversation it felt like I was talking to a close friend, which is especially helpful since you want to feel comfortable with the person photographing some of your most emotional moments!
My bridal party raved about her all day – she knows exactly how to direct you so you look and feel comfortable and natural, and kept things running smoothly all day long (which is not easy to do with so many personalities and families to keep track of!).

Katie was honestly the most helpful vendor we hired on our wedding day! She was there to make sure we felt comfortable the entire day and captured ever moment perfectly! She is also SO good at adapting to change and recognizing the best spots for pictures. On the day of our wedding, she came to our airbnb that was on a vineyard to just take "getting ready" pictures and realized the setting was perfect for our first look so we ended up doing it there. The pictures in that setting turned out AMAZING and I am so grateful that she suggested that change! Katie photographed every special moment throughout our wedding, we were surprised and touched by the attention to detail and the candid moments she caught on film for our special day. She also worked with the weather and time of day to get the best lighting for our couple photos. She had intimate knowledge of the property, both spatially and seasonally: she knew the best places to be on the property, at the best times of day. She gave us plenty of photos to choose from without being overwhelming. Neither of us love being in front of a camera and Katie made us feel so comfortable and natural. We had the honor of working with Katie in June 2020. We had to cancel our 200+ person wedding due to Covid and decided to elope on our original day instead. Katie was beyond flexible and gracious working with us during the uncertain times at the beginning of Covid. Nothing ended up going as planned with our covid wedding except for the beautiful photos that Katie took. The photos she captured were breathtaking and timeless. We will always cherish the photos she took of us and for capturing the beauty of the day even during a global pandemic.

We are so happy we had Katie (Kreate Photography) do photography for our wedding. From the start, she was personable, professional, and well organized. She took the time to speak with us before the wedding, and was always happy to chat through any questions or requests that we had as we planned. Katie is extremely experienced with weddings, so she was also able to be a great partner as we designed our timeline for the day and prepped materials. Day of, Katie and her assistant were fantastic. She was great at getting all family and friends organized in photos - making the process both fun and efficient. As someone who doesn't love being the center of attention, Katie was also always kind and supportive, making me and my husband feel comfortable throughout the day. I found Kreate Photography while looking at wedding venues; a wedding she photographed was featured on a venue's site. I fell in love with her intimate and realistic style. From our first conversation, Katie made us feel so comfortable with the wedding process and photography. After securing a venue, Katie was the next vendor we booked. We spoke with a few other options but no one was as organized and professional as Katie was nor had as high quality photos. Katie's experience is evident in her whole process, from her communications, tips and tricks, efficiency, and style, she is on top of this wedding thing. We did an engagement mini-session which was about an hour and in that short time frame, she captured some gorgeous photos of us that represent us as a couple. The day of the wedding, Katie and her assistant Sarah were so lovely and organized, they made the day go so smoothly. We also heard from friends and family who were impressed with how on top of everything she was (and one ended up hiring her for their daughter's wedding this year)! The photographs themselves are STUNNING. There's all the usual couple, family, bridal party, and ceremony photos which we will treasure for the rest of our lives. There's also some amazing and intimate shots of us during "golden hour" after the ceremony and at sunset. Do yourself a favor and hire Katie and get the extra hours and engagement session. It's so worth it! -

I am so glad that we hired Katie to photograph our engagement photos and wedding. Katie was incredibly organized, creative, thoughtful, and timely at all stages. In addition to traditional wedding photos, Katie captured intimate moments, the highlights of our ceremony and reception, the admiration and love of our guests and all of the small details that we put in to our wedding (flowers, sings, favors, etc.). She has a way with light to make a picture look magical. More importantly, she really took the time to get to know us as a couple and project the "vibe" that we wanted to create with our big day. I have followed her work for years and I know she does romance very well, but she took the playful vibe of our wedding and ran with it. We have the perfect mixture of romantic and fun pictures. We knew we were comfortable with her right away, but she made everyone in the wedding feel comfortable as well and worked so fast, getting people where they needed to be and made sure we caught the best light for our photos. When we finally met in Mexico, it was like we already knew one another. I loved that she was part of our wedding day. She pays such attention to detail and brought such a sense of comfort and ease.

Rachel Sent on 07/16/2018Although we were getting married in Sonoma, we were planning our wedding from afar living on the East coast. I found Katie through other local contacts/ vendors and from our first call we completely trusted her and knew she would help make our day perfect. She kept in touch from our first conversation until the wedding and gave us candid feedback on a handful of vendors - this was invaluable since we had to work from a shortlist of preferred vendors the venue provided and because our 3 trips out to the area for wedding planning had to be very efficient in how time was spent.
I can't even begin to describe how amazing she was on the wedding day - she was such a positive yet assertive presence who made every one of us (bride, groom, bridal party, parents, etc.) feel at ease! The 2017 wildfires took place only about 2 weeks before our wedding and our wedding day was slated to have rain and yet I never worried once that the photos would be anything but incredible. Katie has an unparalleled talent - we would 100% hire her again if we had to do it over! -

We chose her because of her style, it's very natural and romantic and most importantly her personality. Katie is great with making you feel comfortable during photoshoots, the poses were not forced which made the pictures very intimate! She was very helpful during the day of the wedding especially since we had a ton of group family photos after the ceremony and a guest count of 330! Katie was able to capture all the moments and more! I highly recommend her!

Dusty Sent on 02/02/2018Katie WAYYYYY exceeded our expectations. She did both our engagement photos, which came out incredible...iconic images of our moment in life together, and our wedding day.
As mentioned, the engagement photos really wowed us. Everyone who sees them is legitimately and genuinely impressed. They are beautiful and working with Katie was very fun and relaxed.
Our wedding photos, which were taken at a Sonoma Winery, were as good or better. She brought an assistant, Jessica I believe, who was equally talented and fun to work with during our family, friends and location photos.
Katie really listened to what we wanted and didn't want. And, she captured the moment so exquisitely. Katie was by far the best vendor we worked with during the wedding process. No joke, we had a miserable wedding planner (Cinthy at a Touch of Grace) who we immediately just bypassed, and Katie even stepped in during the wedding to get some SHIT DONE when our planner was nowhere to be found.
Avoid Touch of Grace wedding planners if possible. They are seriously laughable. Conversely, attempt to get Kreate Photography to work with you at all costs!
One final note, Kreate Photography recently did a family photo shoot for our brother and his young family...the photos are amazing. And, she got a 2 and 1/2 year old to look at the camera and smile! Thank you, Katie. You will be taking our family photos for the rest of our lives...you're stuck with us.

My then-fiancé fell in love with her photos online and asked that we hire Katie for our wedding. From the first conversation I shared with her on the phone, Katie made everything simple. She is incredibly warm and friendly, while still being direct and to the point, and is all about getting to know you as the customer (something that struck me as rare after the first few photographers with whom I spoke).
She was always quick to respond which was great because I sent a ridiculous amount of emails. The wedding day itself was incredibly smooth thanks to her punctuality and attention to detail. Her second photographer Molly was amazing as well. I legitimately hate getting my photo taken, and even I felt at ease with Katie and Molly.
Even after the wedding, Katie has remained super communicative with the albums and photos, etc. In all honesty, I had a little sticker shock when I got the quote but Katie was amazingly flexible with adjusting the package to work with us. And the quality of her work made the price a bargain. After later review, I figured out Katie is priced very competitively with other top notch Bay Area photographers.
I can not recommend Katie highly enough! You will be beyond happy with your experience. -

Heather Sent on 07/18/2016I booked Kreate Photography for a wedding reshoot. DH and I got married in March 2015 in So.Cal. The photographer we had originally booked did a great job shooting everything in the wedding; but fell extremely short when taking the most important pictures, pictures of DH and I during cocktail hour when we were alone (not a single photo of what I imagined and wanted was taken by the previous photographer). After a year of looking at the disappointing photos and having only one picture of us hanging in the living room, I decided that we needed a reshoot to get the pictures that we wanted.
I cannot say enough how impressed I am with Kathryn. Not only did she do an amazing job, but the pictures are absolutely stunning, Kathryn is super nice and fun to work with, and she has great creative vision. It is so easily obvious that she loves what she does. Thanks to Kathryn, I finally have the pictures that I had envisioned. The only problem I'm having now, is choosing what pictures to hang on the wall!! I hope I get another chance to work with her in the future. Highly recommend!
