Great Service and Attention

Most Pleasant Experience Ever

We went to Kranich's in Altoona, PA to find an upgraded engagement ring and wedding band for our upcoming wedding vow renewal and celebration. Monica was the most patient, kind, and helpful individuals we have ever met. She took the time to find out our likes and dislikes, budget, and helped us to understand our payment options. She did not feel one bit of pushy; you can tell she enjoys helping customers and isn't just trying to make a sale. If you go to Kranich's, please seek out Monica for a genuinely pleasant shopping experience.

We recommend Kranich's Altoona store to everyone

Several years ago, I searched for fine wedding ring sets for my wife and I. I'm from Arlington, VA (Washington, DC area), now living in this area a well, and travel extensively. I searched in the DC area, NYC, Atlanta, Dallas, LA as well as the internet. My family heritage is Bedford/Blair County to where I additionally searched. Then, we met Connie at Kranich's Altoona store. In our opinion, Connie is superb sales woman and could sell anything to anyone in the most classy, upfront and honest way. She doesn't just try to make a deal, she listens and questions your likes, your styles before moving forward.
Since our purchase of the rings, we have come back numerous times to make purchases through Connie. I bring my numerous watches as well as for maintenance to the Altoona store.
Connie, along with Bonnie and Michael, treat us first class and very respectful. We have found their deals to be most comparable to other vendors around the country, but with better quality and deals, attention to our needs, detail, and full customer satisfaction. We are not looking to impress anyone or to get anything from this. We just believe that people like Connie, Bonnie and Michael need to be acknowledged for being outstanding sales people on all levels.
They operate in the old fashioned way. We plan to continue to make Kranich's our place for purchasing jewelry and the like because of the way they treat people. We're glad to share our experiences with Kranich's in our circle of connections.

My husband is a loyal Penn State fan so it was only obvious that we chose Kranich's for our wedding bands after they supplied me with a beautiful Engagement Ring. They worked with my husband on any questions he had for the engagement ring and even combined a couple of different styles so it was what we both liked. With the bands themselves we had gone up there to get my engagement ring inspected for the warranty and found our bands without planning on it. Since it was so far in advance from the wedding (2 years) they let us do a layaway plan so that we could make payments and keep the ring at their store. we go back to see them every 6 mo for the warranty checks and every time we walk in the door they are all smiles and remember us. We got married about 1 1/2 mo ago and my husband's band is now too big as he lost some weight. They have been extremely helpful in finding a replacement as his ring is not able to be resized. Everyone at the College Street store has been extremely helpful and wonderful to see each time we visit.

We got our wedding bands from Kranich's, and I also had a pearl necklace restrung. We were able to use layaway to pay for our rings, which really helped since we were paying for so many other wedding-related things. They also gave us a very good deal on the rings since we bought them together. The pearl necklace was a gift from my grandmother and I wanted it on a white gold chain since the rest of my jewelry is silver/white gold. I was a little nervous to have the pearls restrung, but Kranich's did a beautiful job and it only took 2 weeks.

When I first got engaged my ring was a size to big. I took it into the store and they originally told me that it would take two weeks to get it resized. I couldn't bare to live that long without my ring! The man helping me noticed my small panic and told me he could have it done in four days! I was so happy with the new fit.

My fiancé and I purchased our wedding bands from the Kranich's in downtown State College, PA. The staff is so polite, and they do t try to pressure into buying before you are ready, they helped us find bands that fit exactly what we envisioned, had a great layaway plan, and definitely didn't overcharge us. Would definitely recommend them to anyone in Pennsylvania.

My fiance purchased my engagement ring from Kranich's, and I couldn't be happier. We went in to look at rings together, and the sales person was wonderful. She showed me around the store while my fiance talked prices with the manager, and distracted me while he bought the ring without me knowing! When we got engaged, the ring was too big. I took it to be sized, and they told me it would be two weeks before I got it back--the last thing a newly engaged bride wants to hear. I explained that my birthday was coming up and all of my family would want to see the ring. Rachel from the downtown store told me that she would pull some strings to get the ring back sooner, and she did! I had my ring back on my finger two days later. We will definitely be buying our wedding bands here.

There is nothing like working with a shop like Kranich's. Mickey, at the downtown State College store provided us with top notch service. He stayed late with us as we looked at engagement rings (and helped to get my husband to buy my dream ring). They kept my husband updated during the process of making the ring and even sent him pictures. They call us every 6 months to remind us to have the settings checked. We went back to Mickey again for our wedding bands and again, he helped us to find the perfect match for my engagement ring and a band for my husband. We'll be back for many an anniversary, Christmas, and birthday present in the future.

They worked with my husband and I to create a one of a kind Simon G engagement ring set with a ruby. They also offered a military discount which is always a plus and tax free since we live in Texas and they are out of state. Once I lost a bit of weight, I shipped the ring back a few times to have a horseshoe added in so that it would be flexible sizing throughout my life. My husband did purchase the lifetime warranty for it. They are always very polite, helpful and you can call them on an 800 number or email and get an immediate response. I highly recommend them! They beat out any jeweler in central Texas in quality and uniqueness and even price for a similar same designer ring.

Kranich's has the greatest collection of blue diamond jewelry I've seen. I was unable to find anything local, and was ecstatic to discover that I could order exactly what I wanted online through Kranich's without even visiting a store. My wedding band is perfect, and I felt very secure ordering knowing that if it wasn't I was able to return for a full refund. Finally, I was impressed by the price! I never imagined I could get clarity like this at such an affordable price.

My husband and I visited Kranich's before he even proposed to look at engagement rings. What we loved was that the staff treated us like adults thinking about getting engaged (a lot of other places acted like we were irritating teenagers, despite both of us being in our mid 20's) and Mickey talked with my now husband privately about different pricing options and he was able to show me a lot of different unique rings! When my husband came to them with an heirloom ring that he wanted to use the center diamond from, Mickey was super helpful with figuring out how to make a new band (I liked one that was made to hold a smaller diamond) and make sure the center diamond was secure. We decided to use them for my wedding band so the styles would match. I adore both my rings - they are beautiful! They actually sent a digital proof of my wedding band before they made it. I love that both my rings are custom made. Since my wedding band did not have any diamonds in it and was only white gold, I felt like the price was a little higher than what we could have gotten elsewhere, but we were so pleased with their customer service we decided to go with them!

I had some trouble with my diamonds falling out of my engagement ring, but they were really great about helping me fix it. They ordered me a completely new ring, free of charge, and it has not been damaged since. They also are very reasonable with payments and financing. I would definitely recommend.

I love going into Kranich's. I've been in so many times it's like they know me there. I love jewelry. I bought my wedding band from them because I wanted a simple diamond band without breaking the bank. I got the service plan on my ring and just got them soldered together. I had stopped back in with them a day or two after my wedding as I wanted my rings soldered together--and they said it would take about two weeks. I was a little sad about that because I just got married and hated to part with my beautiful engagement ring and shiny new band! Nothing a newly married gal wants to hear. They called me just today to pick it up. It has been about a week and wow. I'm so in love with the job they did and glad I trusted my engagement ring and band with them. I'm just so happy they got it back to me so quickly and it's so much more sparkly. I trust kranich's.

Great job, very helpful, very friendly. I was a big fan of them. They love their brides. My only concern was that the male wedding rings were pretty expensive -- a few hundred dollars -- and many of the same things (especially the tungsten and other basic kinds of medals) can be found online for like $50.

We purchased my engagement ring, a necklace and both of our wedding bands from Kranich's within the last year. All the items we've purchased have been beatiful. They were issues with both of our wedding bands. The wrong band came in for me three times and for my husband. Luckily we ordered our rings early enough that this wasn't an issue. They were very good about the whole situation and ended up giving us better deals for both of our rings because of the problems we had. We would purchanse jewerly from them again in the future.

My husband's wedding band had a defect and within 3 weeks of being married, it started pitting and rusting. They replaced it, but he went four weeks without his band, and when he got it back, it was not the right size and they didn't put the original engraving back. He then had to take it back and go without it again.

I love my rings from Kranichs! My husband designed my engagement ring himself and they made it to his specifications and it is absolutly beautiful. They did recommend that I have the ring resized and I don't think I shoud have as it is tight right now. The prices were in line with others after negotiating the price a little.

We ended up buying our rings here because they treated us with the most respect. We didn't have tons of money to spend but they didn't care--they were excellent customer service people and they really seemed to care that we ended up with wedding bands that spoke to who we were. The salespeople did not make assumptions nor did they make us feel like idiots. We loved the service we got. and the rings!

Very displeased overall. My ring was never worn and the diamond was falling out. I was misinformed of my options to fix the diamond, and when I went to change it as I was informed I could do, I was told it was destroyed and I could either pay for the original and risk loosing my diamond again or keep what I had and grow to deal with it! Had I been informed of the real options I never would have switched my ring, poor communication and false information I am completely upset. Would not recommend anyone going there.
