You NEED Konrad at your event!!!!

I don't know where to start! Konrad is a true artist. If you want pictures that you'll be mind blown away with then he's the man. He is professional, personable, and so funny. We had a blast working with him! He was always available to chat, super organized, and takes pride in his work. My husband and I are awkward in front of the camera and you would NEVER know that by seeing our pictures. I only have my sneak peek photos right now and cannot wait until I get the others. I'm def. hiring Konrad for future shoots!!!!

The lighting extraordinaire - best photographer

When we booked our wedding venue, one of our primary concerns was photography as the lighting within the location was very dim. In addition, my family along with my Husband's are Dominican/Haitian so we worried that our photographer would not be able to properly photograph variations in skin tone. We found Konrad after our venue suggested a list of vendors and we instantly fell in love with his work. Konrad has an amazing eye and he is a lighting specialist. He uses a variation of lighting as well as storytelling to capture the most magnetic photography! He worked well with the venue to stage lighting where needed and there were no issues in photographing people of color. On top of that, he is professional, hysterical, and provided direction when it came to posing for our wedding photos. After the wedding, we received a first look of photos within 3 days and we were FLOORED over how beautiful the images were. We then promptly received our photos within 4 weeks as agreed. Everyone in my wedding party loved him and his work and he truly captured the magic that my husband and I experienced on our day. One of the best things I loved about him was that he understood the theme we were after and how we wanted our day to play into this rustic new age fairy tale. He delivered! We will absolutely recommend him to any of our friends/family and will continue to book him for our future photography needs!

Great Quality Photos

Konrad was great start to finish. He was responsive, explained the options, and had a plan for the day. He took wonderful quality pictures and has a wonderful eye for great lighting situations. He had our pictures ready quickly after the big day. I would definitely recommend Konrad.

Perfection

Working with Konrad was a dream. He’s a true professional. He doesn’t just take pictures and capture moments, but creates them. From our engagement shoots to our ceremony and the reception shenanigans to follow, Konrad was able to capture priceless candids and staged incredible still shots that do not look rigid or staged at all. Amazing photographer!!!

Konrad was an amazing photographer. We had him shoot for our wedding day and he was spectacular. First of all, he is a professional. We had amazing communication leading up to the wedding. During the wedding, he was so creative with his shots and you could see he is passionate about his work. He took shots that we asked for the day of also. Konrad was so creative in what shots he came up with on the spot. He sent us a preview of about 80 photos 3 days after the wedding!! So fast and they were all beautiful. We would recommend Konrad for any occasion. We were so happy to work with him. Konrad was so kind as well. He is amazing and a true photographer. You will not be disappointed!

Obsessed with our wedding pictures!!

Konrad photographed our engagement session and our wedding and we could not have been happier with our pictures. He is truly an artist and finds the best light at any given time. The weather for our wedding was rainy & gloomy and as a result, we could not take any pictures outside which I was upset about. Konrad found so many locations at our venue (that he had never been at before) and our pictures were amazing! He was an absolute pleasure to work with and I would 100% use him again. Konrad is an artist, consummate professional and gifted photographer whose presence at our wedding was one of the absolute highlights! He has a way of taking the "perfect" photo and seeing things in a landscape or setting that one might never imagine. He was so easy to work with and accommodated our every request with patience, including organizing our mammoth 22 person bridal party with complete efficiency and poise. His photos are so beautiful that we hang many of them on the walls our home like pieces of art. I cannot tell you how many people have asked us, "Who was that photographer? He was amazing!" since the wedding was over and the photos came back. Out of all of the vendors we hired, Konrad was far and away the best. His quality is unmatched, his professionalism is superlative and he offers all of this excellence at an extremely reasonable price. We hired him for both our engagement photos and wedding photos and were beyond satisfied with both. We really cannot say enough good things about him!

We are so pleased with out wedding photos from Konrad! The pictures he took are absolutely incredible and artistic! I can’t stop looking at them. They are so creative and unique. He completely captured the beauty, intimacy and joy of our wedding day and we are beyond pleased! In addition to Konrad's photo shooting talent, he was very easy to work with. He communicated with us multiple times in the months leading up to the wedding, scheduling phone calls after our work days, designing a timeline schedule for our photos and even giving us necessary homework assignments to make sure we were on the same page before the big day- so that we did not waste any time! My husband and I were referred to Konrad by our cinematographer for our wedding. We were impressed with his work the moment we set our eyes on his website. Konrad was very easy to work with. He really made us feel comfortable and showed that he cared to give us the best quality work he could possible give us. His meticulousness and attention to detail are unmatched. Konrad was amazing from the moment we initially spoke on the phone. He had previously done the photos for two weddings of very good friends of mine and I was maid of honor in one so I knew he was extremely artistic, easy going, and professional, plus his photos are incredible. He has a great eye for shots so trust him when he asks you to walk a certain way or stand in a certain spot. The personalities of both Konrad and his assistant added to the day - they were both funny and unobtrusive. He listened to what we’d said we wanted but we also let him do his thing and we are so glad we did because our pictures are stunning.

Simply put, Konrad is the MAN! When we first started looking for a wedding photographer, I looked through hundreds of portfolios until I came across Konrad's. His images just stood out to me in a sea of boring, cookie cutter profiles, and after meeting Konrad for the first time for our engagement session, we needed no further confirmation that we made the right decision. He made us feel at ease and gave us great directions, and of course our pictures came out amazing!
During our entire wedding this past Friday, he basically took over and ran the show. He managed everything, from the timeline, my wedding party, family members, other staff and I just can't imagine what we would have done without Konrad, as my now husband was 2 hours late (not entirely his fault). Even during the wedding I had guests and bridal party members comment to me about how attentive and professional he is.
Konrad's a stand-up guy and a pleasure to work with. He was super responsive and helpful throughout the planning process. But most importantly, he's an artist in every sense of the word. We are simply blown away by the pictures we received from him so far. He started sending us edited images literally next day and by Monday he had an entire gallery from our wedding on his blog. We still can't stop looking at the pictures and can't wait to get the rest in a couple of weeks. If you're looking for a brilliant photographer for your wedding, book Konrad!

My husband and spent the most time researching photographers for our wedding as this was the most important aspect for us. Konrad was recommended by a friend and after using him for our engagement session we were sold. He really goes above and beyond to get the best possible photos. He is an artist as we’ll as a photographer and if you are looking for truley stunning pictures then you must go with him. We couldn’t be happier with our photos and to top it off he is an amazing person and so great to work with. Konrad did an AMAZING job with the my wedding this weekend. I wouldn’t have trusted anyone else to photograph my wedding. He had an eye for details and perfection. Konrad was punctual, respectful, and is highly skilled. We were the first on both sides of our families to get married, and will recommend for all future weddings! We couldn't have asked for a better wedding photographer! From the start, photography was the most important thing to me. Your wedding lasts one day; your wedding PHOTOS last a lifetime. They're what you'll be looking at for decades to come, showing your children and grandchildren. You can't put a price on memories.

I looked at literally every wedding photographer that served my area on this site. I went through all of their websites and portfolios and spoke to quite a few on the phone, but none of them even compared to Konrad on the quality of their photos or their professionalism. I had spoken to a number of photographers who were, shall we say, a bit egotistical. Konrad's photos were so good that I expected him to be the same way, but he was so down to earth and accommodating. He was easy to talk to and totally on our level. He was really an easy choice for us.

The day of the wedding, he was a dream. We wanted someone who would capture the moment, not stage it, and boy did he! He caught so many moments we didn't even know had happened or never expected to have. He was everywhere all at once and we have some truly STUNNING memories. Like, fairytale right out of a magazine quality photos. We barely noticed he was there and when he did want to steal us away for photos, he was so polite and nice about it that we hardly minded at all. He kept getting excited about the different photos and backgrounds and lighting. He was like a kid in candy store. It was very endearing. When deciding what to put in our album, we couldn't get it below 250 photos. It was just impossible. There were so many good ones. I have no idea how we'll decide what to frame!

Konrad is an amazing artist and I'd recommend him to anyone. I'd hire him again in a heartbeat. I'm quite honored that his thumbnail photo is currently a photo of us and we're now plastered all over his website. I hope he remembers us for as long and as fondly as we'll remember him.

I used Konrad for my wedding at Flowerfields in St James. He was very responsive throughout the whole process, answered all my questions, was super flexible and just nice. I just got my first sneak peak pictures and i'm basically obsessed. It was important to me to get certain pictures and he remembered every single one of them and made sure I got every picture i wanted with family and different backgrounds. I can't wait to see the rest of my pictures :)

Konrad is a true artist and he tries to capture each picture in a special way. We just received all our pictures from our wedding at the end of June (which was very fast!) and we were so pleased with all of them. Konrad was the photographer for my wedding in Westport, CT, on May 28th, 2017. He was fantastic! From the very beginning, Konrad was a pleasure to work with. He was highly responsive, professional and provided great customer service.

There are two qualities I'd like to highlight about Konrad. The first is responsiveness. My wife and I generally dislike wedding pictures that are overly posed, cheesy, or sexualized. Konrad asked us about our preferences in detail and even requested that we send him examples of pictures he’s taken that we don’t like, so he could better learn our style. On our wedding day, Konrad did an amazing job taking a blend of the classic and candid photographs that we wanted. He also did a great job of following specific instructions. For example, it was important that we got pictures of certain family members and older guests — Konrad did a fantastic job capturing pictures of the people we requested.

The second quality is value. We have friends that spent 2-3x what we did on wedding pictures with inferior results. Konrad produced high-quality pictures, got them to us quickly, and was willing to create a pricing structure that worked for us. We also had a limited amount of time to take pictures and Konrad really worked hard to capture everything we wanted.

Our only problem with Konrad is that he gave us too many great pictures to choose from! It will be a challenge to pick our favorites. If you work with Konrad, your pictures will be one of the best aspects of your wedding.

Normally, I don't really take the time to write such detailed reviews, but Konrad is an exception. I spent endless nights clicking through different wedding photographers; those on the higher price range and those that were more affordable. I initially started my search by ignoring prices and focusing solely on portfolios and what their story was. Konrad's portfolio and background was one that stood out to me. When I decided to send an inquiry, I got a response almost instantly. He is so easy to talk to and deal with. My wife and I are not very formal. So for us to take those traditional wedding photos were awkward for us. He made us feel very comfortable in front of the camera. Konrad adapted to our wants and needs and even guided us along with our bridal party onto taking photos that I didn't think were even possible to capture. He was able to capture amazing candid shots, so when I look back at them, I can feel like I can pinpoint that exact moment. On top of being able to take exceptionally well photos, we had a ton of photos already edited within days, with the remaining photos coming up soon! I find that impressive, especially when I hear it takes some wedding photographers months for them to return back with their edited photos. My words can only tell you so much. Konrad did such a great job with the photography. He knew exactly what do take pictures of. I don't think he literally stopped working for the entire 13 hours. He also got us the pictures very quickly and they turned out really great. We are very happy with his work!

My husband and I were just married on 1/6/17 and we have only seen the previews of our wedding from Konrad. They are spectacular!! We are so excited to see the rest of the photos but we couldn't wait to post a review! Konrad and his team are so wonderful to work with. He is a true professional and an artist. Words can't begin to describe some of the photos that he took - his play with light and texture in spaces is phenomenal, and all at a venue that he had never been to before. The man is a genius. He captured the essence of the love in the room, on the faces of our guests and family members. We knew when we met him and after seeing his work on his webpage that he would be fabulous, but we had no idea how fabulous he would be. We are truly honored to have had him document our special day and be part of our family. My husband and I planned to be married at a beautiful vineyard venue. The perfect place for outdoor photos... and then came Hurricane Matthew. Konrad seriously saved the day. He and his team turned a disastrous day into what are the most beautiful wedding photos we've ever seen. He was attentive, creative and reassuring. Every guest that sees a picture from our wedding is floored with how amazing they came out. Firstly you only get one chance at your wedding photos that's why i would highly recommend Konrad! After a lot of searching online we knew Konrad was perfect for us the minute we seen his style and finish on photos. We got in touch and Konrad was so friendly and helpful. He understood everything we were looking for. We live in Ireland and although the first time to meet Konrad was the day of the wedding we had our full trust in Konrad as he kept in touch and updated the whole time up to the wedding.Konrad was so professional and done up an itinerary for the day as we wanted to travel around New York on different location shots. He knew exactly where to go and was so creative with his shots. On the day of the wedding we met Konrad and he was so friendly and patient. We had so much fun travelling around the city and enjoyed working with him so much. Konrad made it stress free and relaxed for us and as a result captured our day perfectly. So lucky we found Konrad for our special day! He was incredible from the first interaction, and attentive throughout the whole year of planning! We just got the initial look of our pictures and they look amazing! We wanted a photographer who could capture the uniqueness of our cultures and interests as a mixed couple. Words cannot express how lucky my wife and I feel to have found Konrad! From the very beginning, we knew that with Konrad, our photography would be one less thing we would have to worry about... And we were right! Not only is Konrad responsive, he is also very professional, friendly, and funny! He had our guests laughing from ceremony through reception. Konrad was extremely easy to work with. From our first meeting I knew that he was the photographer for us. He was cordial, timely in corresponding to email and he helped make my wedding day stress free. He was so friendly and worked with all of my requests. A few days after the wedding he made 100 photos available to view on his website. I knew he was great but he photographs took my breath away. Konrad is extremely professional and talented at what he does. He was extremely responsive, and even more, he was proactive in keeping in touch and keeping updated up until the wedding day. I honestly cannot praise Konrad (and his assistants) enough! Not only did our photos come out absolutely beautiful (all of our friends and families are raving about them), he was SO easy to work with. During the months leading up to the wedding, Konrad was responsive and so on top of everything which made us feel so much more at ease. On the day of, he and his team were punctual (early even coming from NJ!), friendly, charming and perhaps most importantly, patient. He was mindful of timing but also open to our wishes and listened to us. It only took him a few minutes to scout locations and determine best shots. During the ceremony and reception, he was nearly invisible and yet managed to get incredible candid photos. I highly highly recommend Konrad!! So kind, easy to work with throughout the entire process and produced incredible work. With him as your photographer, you cannot go wrong!

You can't go wrong with Konrad and his team as your photographers for your special day! I was blown away by the preview that Konrad sent me last week. Konrad shot our wedding on 5/7/16 and I could not be happier. Konrad captured the details of the day and told our wedding story better than I could have ever imagined.

I spent a good amount of time researching photographers. I met with a few and ultimately I did not even have to meet with Konrad. He was so professional and straight forward during our phone call, that I immediately felt that I had found THE photographer. This along with the photos on the site made me confident that Konrad would document our day beautifully and that we would be pleased with the result.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the pictures. I cannot wait to see the entire DVD and I know that my parents and in-laws will be over-joyed with their photo-books. Plus the turnaround time is unbelievably fast. Konrad and his crew are top notch in every way.

WOW!!! Words can't express how grateful my husband and I are for coming across Konrad and his team. The second we saw his work on wedding-wire, we were instantly sold! I am honored to provide feedback for Konrad Kolen Photography. My husband and I decided from the beginning that photography was one of the most important things for us to book for our wedding. I didn’t want to miss any of the important moments of the day. The pricing was extremely competitive and the value Konrad provides surpasses much of what I've heard other photographers offer. From our first conversation to the wedding day, Konrad made my husband and I feel like we were his only clients. He handles all the details for contract signing to day of scheduling. All of our questions were answered and he was quick to respond.

I really can't say enough good things about these Konrad and his team. Since this is a review and may help others, here are things that may help you make a decision on whether to contact KONRAD KOLEN PHOTOGRAPHY.

• Konrad and his team were punctual. The day of our wedding, Konrad was at the venue on time and made sure that we stuck to our timeline to capture all of the posed photos.

• They were energetic and enjoy what they do. There are lots of wedding photographers out there that really don't prefer weddings. These guys do. They eat, sleep and breathe weddings.

• They make you feel comfortable. My husband doesn’t enjoy having his picture taken. He was totally comfortable with KONRAD KOLEN PHOTOGRAPHY because they are not invasive.

• Their pricing is competitive and provides great value.

• We were excited to see a “sneak peak” of some photos while we were on our honeymoon. We asked for a lot of candid photos to capture the feeling and magical moments of our wedding. Konrad and his team executed to perfection!

cannot recommend Konrad enough!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is going to be nearly impossible to have our album made because we are completely in love with every single picture (over 1500) he took!!!!!!!!

Konrad was super easy to work with. From the time of our first phone conversation, all through the wedding and after, when we received our photos, everything was smooth. He knows exactly what he's doing, listens to you and makes appropriate recommendations based on his experience. He was punctual, professionally dressed and acted professionally as well. You could easily tell he is passionate about what he does. He is truly an artist. We got so many compliments on how beautiful and unique our photos are. He made use of the light, surroundings and of course us, in a very creative way. We were able to view the first bunch of photos just a few days after the wedding while on our honeymoon! We got the rest only a few weeks after. His assistant was also very professional and also helpful during our session. They both kept a smile on their faces and made our session enjoyable. Konrad was wonderful to work with the day of my wedding! He was actually the photographer at my friend's wedding a few years before. She also highly recommended him.

My husband and I are based in California, but are from NY. Our wedding was in NJ. We contacted Konrad and he was immediately responsive in setting up a time to speak over the phone. After reviewing what we were seeking in a photographer, we immediately knew we wanted to go with Konrad. He was friendly and attentive to our concerns about the style of photographer we wanted for our wedding. He was flexible in terms of our schedule and gave us great feedback if we were cutting it too close on time. He worked effortlessly with my entire bridal party and our families.

I've been to, and in, several weddings over the years. At those weddings, I always felt the indicator of a great photographer is when they are present in the moment, but you don't notice them taking the photos. Konrad was everywhere, but he was never intrusive or pushy with any shot, which we LOVED. It was a very HOT day, but he made us feel comfortable throughout the day and took breaks to make it easier for us. We loved our pictures from the day of our wedding. Stunning shots!! Searching for a photographer may have took the most time and energy because you only get one chance to get the pictures right; there are no “do-overs”. After months of searching, we discovered Kolen Photography and couldn’t have been happier with the discovery.
When meeting with Konrad Kolen, we expressed that while we want the “traditional” portraits for our wedding, we also wanted to have portraits that look more “modern and artistic”; we wanted them to look as though they could be included in a wedding fashion magazine. Konrad understood exactly what we were looking for and was able to meet our expectations on all fronts.
First we met with Konrad for out engagement shoot and when we received some of the pictures we were stunned! They came out better than we could have ever imagined! The engagement shoot was essential as well as we developed a trust with Konrad. We were craving direction and he was able to provide it at all times. Other photographers we met with stated they didn’t like to give directions because they pictures don’t appear “natural”. Well our advice would be to request direction! It felt awkward at first but when we saw the end results were absolutely astonished by the finished result!
The wedding day was no different. Konrad was on time and with us every step of the way. We got great portraits and candid shots that we have rarely seen when looking at other photographers. He made us feel very comfortable throughout the whole day and any request we made for a picture was done.
We haven’t done the wedding albums as yet so I cannot review that process but can tell you that we received all high resolution images in a very timely manner (approximately 2 months after the wedding). Some of our friends had to wait more than 4 months to see all their images.
We can say without a shadow of a doubt that Konrad Kolen will be used to capture all our other milestone occasions in the future!

My husband and I cannot say enough about Konrad! Our wedding photos were very important to us and we wanted a photographer who would truly capture the details of our day. Konrad exceeded our expectations. He was professional, prompt, easy to get along with, and went to great lengths to get the photos just right. Before the wedding he worked with us to set up a detailed timeline and a list of must have photos. Even when our timeline was delayed (by over a hour!) Konrad made sure he got every photo we asked for. One of the most memorable parts of our wedding was sneaking away to take some night photos. No bride wants to be away from her reception for a second but the nighttime photos were absolutely worth it. Plus it was nice to have some private time with the groom. After the wedding, Konrad immediately started posting preview photos and posted the full blog shortly after the wedding. We had all of our pictures before the date he told us. I cannot say enough good things about Konrad and his photography! Well worth every penny. I received a recommendation from a friend and I am blown away by his work. He traveled down to DC where my fiancé and I did our engagement shoot. He spent an extra hour with us, free of charge, as he wanted to continue taking pictures. We had a very tight time schedule on our wedding day, including our limo service getting lost on the way to our picture location, so instead of having the hour plus time allotted for pictures, we had 10 minutes. Konrad worked his magic and still got amazing pictures with the little time he had. Him and his assistant, Nick were extremely flexible and worked well together to get amazing shots. Konrad's work is STUNNING!! My husband and I wanted our wedding to be beautiful, warm, and elegant. Konrad's photos captured conveyed that perfectly. His professionalism and artistry exceeded our already high expectations!

On the wedding day itself, things started off chaotic-- with family, friends, a large bridal party and other vendors at our small apartment. Konrad was charming and pleasant-- but still able to organize everyone effectively!

Because we were getting married in Manhattan, my husband and I wanted to take photos in and around the city. It was more crowded than usual for Valentine's Day, tourists jumped into the photos periodically, and it was below freezing-- it even started snowing at one point. Konrad never slowed down or complained once. He took photos from every angle-- getting down on the ground for several shots. And they came out beautifully!! They really captured the atmosphere.

Konrad was with us for 12 hours on the wedding day-- taking pics of us getting ready, touring NYC, at the wedding ceremony, touring NYC again(!), doing family portraits, at cocktail hour, and at our reception. He also did a special photo session at the end of the night with just the two of us. He worked continuously that entire time!

The whole process of wedding planning was much easier once Konrad got involved. He was very interested in hearing my ideas and he molded the entire wedding day into what we wanted. We exchanged emails and talked on the phone a few times beforehand so we could finalize a timeline that would allow us to capture all the moments we wanted to.

After the wedding, Konrad emailed us some of the highlights immediately. It was such a great surprise to see them on our honeymoon. He posted several other pics soon after and then sent us the full gallery within a month.

All of the wonderful reviews I read online about Konrad, and which made us contact him in the first place, are true. At the beginning of the wedding planning process, I didn't realize what an important role a photographer could play. At first, we spoke with a few photographers who cost a little less money, but were not impressed with their energy or work. When we met with Konrad, we knew immediately that he would be great.

Prior to the wedding, we had a call with Konrad where we reviewed details and a timeline. He patiently answered our questions and subsequent emails and was consistently reliable, knowledgeable and kind. I had a lot of reservations at first about being the center of attention and getting my picture taken a lot, but Konrad always made me feel totally comfortable and natural. The day of the wedding, he showed up early and was just great. My family could not stop talking about how wonderful he was. He even took a break from eating his dinner to get a priceless shot of our grandmothers meeting for the first time. I can't say enough good things about him, and his assistant was wonderful as well. They trooped it through Central Park in freezing temperatures for pre-ceremony pics, and were enthusiastic and great.

After our wedding, I came across a list of regrets that people had after their wedding, and almost all of them mentioned disappointment about their photographers. It made me feel extra grateful to have found Konrad. I know he will hold a place in our memories of the day for years to come.

Konrad is absolutely phenomenal. Photography was one of the most important elements of my wedding to me. I found Konrad through a very good friend who had used him as her wedding photographer. Konrad and I had our first meeting near my home and when I arrived early, Konrad was already there, set up with plenty of examples. I told him that the highest compliment that I could pay to him is that I did not remember him from my friend's wedding at all because he was not obtrusive and did not block the guests' view during the ceremony and other special wedding moments, yet he managed to capture amazing photos. Konrad kept in touch with me just the right amount through the wedding planning process. Konrad did our engagement photos and made my husband-to-be, who was reluctant to be in front of the camera, very comfortable. Konrad took so much time with us and it was clear that he takes great pride in his work. Konrad had our photos to us in just a few days and they were incredible. Before the wedding, Konrad constructed a “day-of” timeline with me to ensure we had allocated enough time to different photos. Everything went smoothly on my wedding day because Konrad was so organized, flexible and patient. My wedding photos are amazing and not cookie cutter at all. They are beautiful images that I will treasure always and bring me instantly back to that wonderful day. Konrad is an absolute pleasure to work with and I highly, highly recommend him. From the moment my husband and I met Konrad we knew he was different from the other photographers we visited. He was so passionate about his work. One word that I would use to describe our experience working with Konrad: Phenomenal! Hands down the best photographer we could have ever imagined having on our wedding day. Brides that had over-the-top weddings have looked through our photos with envy (which makes me feel great seeing that we had a budget friendly wedding!) I cannot praise his work enough. Konrad is so incredibly talented, a true professional and is down to earth and easy going! As soon as we met him, we immediately felt at ease. We ended up having the time of our lives running around Manhattan for photo opportunities. I provided him with a list of must-have photos and he was determined to complete that check list, even when time was tight. He did a great job using our surroundings to create magical images and unforgettable memories. We did not want to have just average photos taken on our big day and would not settle for any old photographer. We wanted something extra and we certainly knocked it out of the park by hiring Konrad. If there is ever another occasion where we need to hire a professional photographer, we know exactly who we are going to turn to!

I cannot say enough great things about Konrad. He is a artist, technician, and professional. My wife and I interviewed 7 of the most prestigious photographers in the New York area for our NYC wedding. We ended up choosing Konrad because we loved his aesthetic and more importantly we knew we could trust him. The other studios were just about making money and focused on up selling us packages. For example, they showed us albums and photos that we really liked and wanted to charge us thousands of dollars extra just to get the photographer who shot the albums. Konrad loves what he does and his work really shows this. He strives to achieve the best work possible and goes above and beyond to make sure his clients are satisfied. For example, he stayed hours beyond his contracted time to make sure he captured the entire wedding for us. We did not ask him to do this. He did it because he wanted to make sure we were 100% satisfied. He is a man of his word and will make your wedding a day you will always remember. I have absolutely NO REGRETS about choosing Konrad to be our photographer. I recommend his very strongly to any couples who ask.

Konrad was amazing. The most artistic and unique photographer I have ever worked with. All his shots look airbrushed even though he just took them. I never felt more beautiful! He is NOT a traditional wedding photographer, he can do your regular family portraits but he comes to life when shooting in a journalistic style. All of my friends have asked me who did our photography!!! I cant wait to get our amazing album!

I am only giving 5 stars because they won't let me give more. I can't say enough about the quality and service we received. Konrad's attention to detail and his ability to see an opportunity for a beautiful photo are unmatched.

Before our wedding, we did an engagement photo shoot with Konrad. I am not photogenic at all. However, Konrad's photos were stunning.

After the wedding he made many changes to my album layouts until they were just perfect. .

He's worth every penny. Hire this man and believe me, you won't be sorry!

I booked Konrad for my wedding after seeing what a fantastic job he did at my sister's wedding the year before. I already knew I would be impressed, but my husband and I were blown away by the results. Konrad's talent is made clear by his portfolio, and though he has a distinct style he has the unique ability to tailor it based on each specific couple. In our meetings he listened to what we wanted and delivered that and more. During the wedding he moved around so seamlessly we didn't even notice him, but somehow he beautifully captured every special moment. We've received a ton of compliments on our photos from friends and family - if I could rate Konrad a 6, I would!

Konrad is absolutely amazing. Photography was important to us for our wedding day and we wanted to spurlge and go with the best. We found Konrad and loved his work and much to our surprise his prices were reasonable for the NY area. We interviewed many photographers and no one compared to Konrad. Our engagement and wedding pictures were absolutely phenomenal! He's the kind of guy that gets on the street or floor to take a great photo and his work shows. We got so lucky in finding Konrad. We were searching through the seemingly endless reviews on Wedding Wire but Konrad's work easily stood out to us. Then we met him...and could tell he was extremely passionate and genuine. His eye for capturing colors and dimensions is like no other photographer. Our wedding pictures were BEAUTIFUL, everyone who has seen them has been in awe of how perfectly and beautifully he captured our big day. He asked us what we wanted and our opinions every step of the way - before the wedding, during and after- while making the album which we really appreciated since our videographer did not and we ended up not liking his final product because it was far removed from what we wanted. Me and my husband also aren't the greatest at responding to emails, but Konrad was extremely patient and never nagged or hurried us. You know the hallmark of a great vendor if after the event, you would hire them again ...and yes, we definitely would and would recommend him to anyone. Thanks, Konrad for everything!!

Konrad was amazing!! We are so happy that our friends recommended him to us. We had originally hired another photographer to shoot our wedding; however, after a horrible engagement session we were at a loss of what to do. Konrad put us at ease from the very first meeting. His professionalism and character as well as his passion for his work were evident immediately. Konrad is an extremely talented photographer who is 100% dedicated and interested in his subjects' wants and equally in his work. He has the ability to shoot a range of photography styles so if you want the traditional type, no problem. But if you want to explore your creative side as well, he will without a doubt impress you with his candids and photojournalistic style.
He works only with natural light and can alter it with his keen eye and his camera equipment to get dramatic looks. He does not need photoshop to alter your photos and believe me, you will come out looking even better!

After our initial meeting with Konrad at a local Starbucks in our neighborhood where he came prepared with a full spread of albums and other samples of his work, my fiance and I knew that we wanted to book him immediately. This man loves what he does, and it really shows in his pictures, his communication with us throughout the process, and on the actual wedding day of course. Konrad is genuine and honest, and in the cutthroat wedding industry people like him are hard to come by.
He made an impression on all our family and friends, they look at our wedding photos practically every single day because they came out so beautifully. There are so many details to them, they are like art, the more you look at them you see something different you didn't notice before.
Just check his facebook page and you will see for yourself. The money we paid was worth every single penny, and we saved for a long time in order to have amazing memories of our big day!

Konrad was incredible. He responded to all of my emails and phone calls immediately, allayed any fears and anxieties I was experiencing and was very reasonably priced for his top quality of work.

More than anything though he produced stunning photographs. He captured moments of contentment, vulnerabilty, excitement, silliness and sheer joy. I never felt like he was intruding and to be quite honest, I forgot he was even there for large parts of the ceremony and reception. When I got my proofs, I was amazed to receive such initimate and beautiful photos.

My family is thrilled with his work as well, they keep complimenting me on the pictures and I have been told "these are the best wedding photos I have ever seen" more than once. Konrad is the best and every bride should have a photographer like him!!

Konrad was truly amazing -- from the minute he arrived to the moment he left he was constantly working to do everything he could to capture all the details of the day. He was completely self-sufficient (found a place to hang and photograph the dress on his own, picked out a place for our first look photos). He is at once creative and experienced enough to know the important pictures to take, the important moments to capture, and the details to record for you to remember, as well as responsive to your wants / concerns / comforts. The wedding day was a (blissful) blur, but Konrad's photos capture everything so beautifully, I know he has preserved our happiest day for us! I agonized over choosing our photographer, but I know without reservation that I chose the best possible photographer I could have found.

After searching and searching, I happen to come across Konrad Kolen and loved the pictures on his website (I also read some great reviews about him too). The first time my husband and I met him, we knew he was def. the right guy for us! He was so easy to work with and even went to see our reception hall before the event to see what and where we could get the best pictures taken. He got back to my calls and emails right away. On our special day, he arrived an hour and a half early (which worked out great) and you didn't even know he was there (we were all getting ready in a suite). We took pictures in Central Park and Konrad got amazing shots! Konrad was even laying on the pavement to get some great pictures! Bottom line is that he loves what he does and is very dedicated to make sure you are satisfied. Thank you Konrad for making our day so special and capturing it :)

Not only was Konrad our favorite vendor but I was considering ways for him to fall in love with me because he was so great! ; )

He was an amazing person to work with, always on time, and by on time I mean early. My fiance and I turned beating him to appointments into a game! We never won. Always looking for your needs and making sure you're satisfied his photographs are amazing. My friends were sharing them with all of their friends and family so they could convince them to hire him!

When I arrived at my venue on my wedding day, Konrad and his assistant were standing there waiting for me, set up and ready to take pictures. As our contract time wound down, he was still there, 110% attentive and still looking for the best shots. The level of professionalism in his demeanor, appearance and picture-taking style - and his passion for his art - went above and beyond any expectations I had set for my photographer. He found places for us to take pictures that we would never have thought of and we have beautiful, creative, unique pictures to remember the day by. He works magic with angles and light. It's hard to describe in words how much Konrad contributed to making the wedding special; he was by far our best and most professional vendor and provided us with magical photos that we will treasure forever. Before the wedding, communication with him by e-mail and phone was always easy and he took careful time to ask what our expectations were for the pictures and adapted his shooting on the day of to our wishes. An online gallery and all the pictures, edited and on CD, were provided to us in a tiny fraction of the time that I have heard other photographers take to deliver. When we started wedding planning, photography was one of the most important services for us. My husband and his family are into photography and we wanted a photographer with a keen eye and a sense for both contrast and composure. Our top candidate would also be someone who was very concerned with his equipment quality and variety of lenses. After speaking with a few vendors, we met with Konrad, and then ended our search. He actually met us at our apartment and brought a ton of samples of his work. We were immediately impressed with his images and with the passion in which he spoke about photography. The pictures were clean, crisp, and dynamic and we have been overwhelmingly pleased with his work for us. Konrad took engagement photos of us all around NYC that were fantastic. He was able to give us suggestions on ways to pose that came out just great and really captured both of us beautifully. On top of that, Konrad visited our wedding site prior to the wedding to get a sense of the venue and look at various areas to take pictures. On our wedding day Konrad was nothing less than amazing. He arrived early (as always) and was ready to work. He and his assistant worked from the second they got there until well after the party was over. In the morning, he quietly worked while capturing the excitement when the girls and boys were getting dressed and continued his hard work throughout the event. I had many people come up to me during the wedding and say that they couldn't believe how hard our photographer was working! He was almost invisible throughout the day, however we knew he was constantly catching all of the important moments. Even after the wedding, he wanted to take a few more shots and I think his favorite phrase was, "oh, I thought of something, just one more shot." It is clear that he is passionate about what he does, and his passion is evident is his pictures. While still on our honeymoon, Konrad sent us our pictures from the wedding, and again we were blown away. We are truly grateful for the hard work he put into our wedding day and couldn't be more pleased with our choice.

Working with Konrad was a true pleasure and the photos turned out even better than we could have imagined! He has a fantastic eye for color and lighting and a very relaxed attitude. Our photos look natural, not posed, and we were totally comfortable with him during the entire day. He has a unique and professional way of blending in with the background and not being at all overbearing. Especially with the "getting-ready" pictures -- when we saw them, there were so many where I thought, "I remember doing that but I don't remember him taking a picture!" You were able to take some intimate real-life moments and captured it on film - and that is priceless. Konrad Kolen did an exeptional job as a photographer at our wedding. We got many compliments from our friends and coworkers and we admire his photographs every time. Konrad showed up early along with his assistant, and worked hard untill the end of our wedding without a glitch. Many times he would help us set up the scenery, background for the photographs and provide great ideas. He is very professional, friendly and gave us exactly what we wanted.

Konrad's photography is amazing. Our wedding pictures and engagement pictures are absolutely gorgeous! He is very talented, creative, patient, and affordable. Konrad was so easy to work with, was responsive and turned our photos around quickly. He was pretty easy going and did a great job. We got a lot of nice shots but because he's so easy going, he struggled to wrangle our large family for some photos. Not his fault though, but, if you prefer someone who isn't super directive, he's your guy.
