Made our Wedding Day INCREDIBLE!

I have nothing but incredible comments to say for this husband and wife pair. They were so professional, so kind, so caring, and have a true appreciation for their art. They truly cared that we had an incredible time while taking photos, made sure we were comfortable with wherever we went, and took absolutely beautiful photos. This duo knew the venue like the back of their hand. This made us feel completely at ease and went with their direction on every location and shot at our outdoor wedding (something that is not easy). Their style is so romantic, dreamy, and picture perfect! Their eye for this art is so appreciated and we CANNOT wait to see the rest of our beautiful photos from our perfect day. Oh, and hire them for BOTH photography/videography! I have heard horror stories about the videography getting in all of the photos or vice versa. This was never a worry I had with this couple as their chemistry made their flow/working around each other so perfect. I could not recommend Koman's more!!

I had Koman for my wedding photographer back in May. They were very easy to work with and the instructions they gave us were really easy to follow. My husband was very shy in front of camera; however, Marlene and John made him looked very happy and natural in all of the photos we received. Koman Photography captured both my childhood dream and the spirit I've desired for my husband and I, and all my lovely guests. Their frames mesmerized me and left me speechless. Defintly worth every penny and recommend to all couples that are looking for good photographer.

After seeing John and Marlene's work, we knew that they were the best out there, and we did not waste anytime to go knocking on their door. They are very good at what they do, very professional, and yet very easygoing. They made us very comfortable, and made sure to make our sessions fun for us. All we could really say when we saw our photos was WOW! The photos were so beautiful! We really did enjoy working with the Komans and we cannot wait to see the rest of the wedding photos! Marlene and John are incredible! I fell in love with their pictures online and then fell in love with them and their photography!!! They did an amazing engagement session for my husband and I. It gave us an opportunity to practice in front of the camera. The photos were amazing! They made us feel so comfortable! It was so much fun being in front of the camera on the wedding day. They are incredibly friendly, professional and talented. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone in the future!!!

Marlene and John are the DREAM TEAM. Booking them was one of the best decisions we've ever made. First, our engagement photo session was flawless. They are artists and so talented at what they do. They met us in Venice for the first half of the shoot and then drove all the way to Malibu to shoot more on the beach. Leading up to the big day, they were always available to answer any questions we had. On our wedding day, despite the fact that it was in the middle of July in LA, it was raining! Not only were Marlene and and John so calming, they offered to give us another opporunity to shoot photos if these one's didn't come out how we wanted them. They love each other and they love their work and it really shows. We are so thankful we had them capturing this moment for us. Highly highly recommend!

LOOK NO FURTHER. That's right, you have just found the most amazing wedding photographers EVER. I must admit, I am not so easy to please & I was more than impressed with the Komans. From our first meeting they made sure to answer all of our questions and were really easy to get along with. Throughout our communications they were always very professional, super sweet, and very prompt in every reply. And of course, their photos speak for themselves! They're commonly featured on StyleMePretty and you could be too! They use soft natural lighting and make sure your photos have a variety of shots, romantic, classic, natural, posed, whimsical, fun, wide angles, close ups, you'll have so many beautiful shots to choose from... That will be your biggest problem! My bestie told me when she got her photos back (by another photographer) she only had a few she liked. When we received our shots, it was quite the opposite! Marlene and john work so well together that they capture you looking your best! And they're such a pleasant and sweet couple themselves, it's really easy to be natural and sweet around them too. We truly felt blessed to be working with a team who truly have passion and pride in their talent and hard work. We absolutely love love love all of our photos and I couldn't recommend anyone else to any of my besties! Even when it rained on our wedding day, we missed some shots that we wanted outside, but we were still happy with the photos we got! They were amazing! As if the Komans weren't already our new best friends, they offered us a free post session to make sure we had even more shots together!!!! They really are the greatest and I'm sure you'll agree. This is the day you want to capture so perfectly, and the Komans will do that for you.

I cannot say enough GREAT things about the Komans!!! As soon as we had found their site and saw their beautiful photos, we knew we just HAD to use them!!! We were unable to meet Marlene and John before our big day since we were planning our wedding from across the country, but as soon as we had met them it felt like they were old friends to us. They both made us feel so comfortable on a day that can be so busy and nerve-wrecking. They gave us so much direction that we didn't have to worry about anything except having fun!!! Because our wedding was so small and intimate, we were able to spend a ton of time taking photos and some of our most memorable moments were hanging out with them. I also love that Marlene and John will show you the photos as they are taking them, so you know exactly what you look like...I am not kidding when I say that it looks like their photos have already been edited when shown on the "preview" screen. These two are true artists!!!! Not only are Marlene and John talented and professional but they are so kindhearted and funny as well. We will recommend them again and again!!! These two are the ABSOLUTE BEST!!!!!!

Marlene and John are AMAZING in EVERY aspect of photography! First of all, they are very professional, punctual and friendly. We took our engagement pictures AND wedding pictures with them. We included our 1 1/2 year old in our engagement pictures. Marlene and John were so patient and so understanding and they had no problem taking the extra step to go out of their way to make sure we got the shots we wanted. They are so good at communicating with us and making sure they find out any special shots we wanted, and checking out the perfect location together. My pictures came out better than i could have imagined! they are SO INCREDIBLY TALENTED specially working together, they have a connection that makes the whole processor so smooth. I always get compliments on our engagement pictures and wedding pictures. They captured all the best and most important moments of our special day! Marlene and John are truly wonderful! We had them for our engagement and wedding pictures last May. They are an amazing couple and extremely talented. Our pictures turned out stunning and we couldn’t be happier. Our family has been extremely happy with all the pictures.

We found Marlene and John on this Web Site. And My wife fell in love with their photos.
Once we met them, we found them very comfortable and considering. And they even worked out for us to meet with our budget.
On the wedding day, it all happened really fast, yet I remember, of course, they spent as much time to take photos of us as it allowed before the wedding and in between the wedding and reception.
They are very hard workers and very talented. Both of them captures very precious moments.
After the wedding, we had to wait for the special album. It came out exactly as we requested on the beautiful paper, cover and case! They even gave us a promotional mini album to see if it becomes handy to share the photos.

My husband and I were very happy with the service that the Koman's provided! We are from Oklahoma, but had the wedding in California, so we met with them pretty early into the engagement during the holidays when we were both able to get out to Los Angeles on vacation. They helped us with a payment plan, and were very flexible all around. They worked with us right away, even subbing out an engagement shoot and switching their packages around so that we could afford to get everything we wanted. They were always very sweet and professional, and we loved that they are a husband and wife team because they worked excellent together. My husband and I were intimidated by the camera and we both don't really enjoy being the center of attention; the Koman's were so helpful in getting us out of our shell and remained patient and kind, which really helped us feel comfortable during the pictures. That was so important for us! Many of our guests commented on how friendly they were, especially during the family photos. Our grand entrance was delayed and they were kind enough to stay a over their paid time to make sure they got the shot. Photographers are expensive anywhere you go, but if you find a couple like the Koman's, it makes it all worth it! We haven't seen our photos yet, but I know that they are going to be just beautiful. They are very talented.

First off, John and Marlene are amazing! We had them for our engagement shoot and our wedding this past June! From the start they really take their time to get to know you on a more personal level so that you feel very comfortable when taking pictures with them. All of our pictures look so natural and not fake or set up poses. They give you ideas for pictures, but all you to blend in your own natural style. We love all of our pictures and the albums are beyond beautiful. Friends of ours got married a year ago and just barely received all of their photos and albums this week! We have been married only 2 months and have everything already! They are extremely nice and professional and never once did I feel they were in the way or intruded on our big day. You can really tell this is what they love to do. Once our pictures went out I was bombarded by friends and family asking for their contact information to book them for future photo shoots of their own. John and Marlene will be our family photographers for years to come! Thank you for capturing our day just as we remember it to be!

Koman Photography photographed a friend's wedding a couple of years ago, and my husband and I liked their work so much that we knew we wanted them for our own wedding.  Marlene and John were wonderful. They are amazingly professional, and also very warm and personable. And so organized! Several members of my wedding party mistook Marlene for our wedding planner because she generally had a better idea of what was going on and who was where than even me or the groom.  I am generally pretty camera shy, but they did a great job of making me feel comfortable and working around my general awkwardness. Our pictures came out wonderfully, and they were a pleasure to work with. I'll be recommending them everyone.

I did extensive research to find a wedding photographer. What struck me about Koman Photography’s portfolio was that their photographs repeatedly captured the feeling of beautiful moments. I cannot think of a more important factor on the day of your wedding.  Marlene and John noticeably put all their effort into our wedding day. Many of our guests commented on the number of photos they took and how they seemed to be everywhere. Marlene and John’s experience allows them to create unique photographs. They have endless ideas for scenes and backdrops. Marlene and John are incredibly talented, they are creative and they work hard. Compared to other high quality photographers in Los Angeles, Koman Photography’s prices are reasonable. Koman Photography is hands down the BEST team to go with for wedding photography. When researching photographers for our wedding, we looked at a bunch of online portfolios. We were in awe at the pictures that Koman Photography was able to capture. Other photographers take snapshots - it felt like we would be dropping a few thousand dollars for pictures you or I could take. When we saw what Koman Photography could do - capture emotions, the feelings that each person in the photograph were having at that moment - unreal. We decided to go with them before we even met them.   Meeting Marlene and John only solidified the confidence in our decision. They are such a sweet, caring couple that instantly made us feel comfortable and confident and made the whole experience fun because they were having fun taking our pictures.  From both the engagement photos and now the wedding we are hearing nothing but compliments. People have told us they have never seen such amazing wedding photos - verbatim! And going back to the capturing of feelings - I cry every time I look at them. When I was planning my wedding in 2010, a girlfriend said to not skimp on pictures. She said once the wedding is over you are left with two things--the guy and the pictures! I took this to heart - add into the mix my husband is about the most photo averse man on the planet. It was going to take someone with patience and a lot of skill to properly capture our beautiful day. Marlene and John did all that and more. My wedding photographs were incredible and my final album is a work of art. They are funny, engaging, creative, and talented and if you really want your wedding captured in the moment, in your environment looking happy and relaxed and oh so lovely this is your team. This review is way overdue. We had our wedding over a year ago and I still cherish the pictures that they took of us on our day. Every time I look at the pictures, I get really happy. I love these guys. They made our day the most wonderful wedding ever. They are decently priced, and they worked with us and our budget as well. My husband and I hired Marlene and John to photograph our engagement/wedding and I can honestly say it was one of the best decisions we made in the wedding planning process. John and Marlene were recommended to us by our wedding venue. As soon as my fiancé and I saw the pictures on their website, we fell in love and booked immediately. We met up with them a few weeks before the wedding to go over everything and scout out the area for fun shots. They were so friendly and easy to talk to and get along with. On the day of our wedding, Marlene and John were both great and so easy to work with. They made everyone comfortable and the photos came out incredible. They really captured the happiness of the wedding and got great shots of every single person who attended. We are obsessed with our photos and can't thank them enough. Koman Photography is the BEST husband and wife photography team around! Not only do they care about making sure they are capturing your "look" but they understand good angles and lighting so everyone looks great in your pictures. They are also so kind and easy to talk to and they deeply care about making sure their clients are happy. I am SO happy with my wedding/engagement photos that I would HIGHLY recommend Marlene and John to anyone. Both my husband and I found them to be very professional, responsive and on-it. When I began my search for local wedding photographers, I scoured the web for information and looked at a million portfolios. I wanted to find a photographer who had a great eye, had a photo-journalistic approach and excelled at post-production. Well, I found all of that and more in Koman Photography. They are like photography ninjas. Their incredible sense of timing and reflexes allowed them to catch the most dynamic and exciting elements of our wedding. They also do well with still life and the shots of things like the food and dessert table are also compositionally stunning. And without knowing the people and personalities in my family, they managed to capture in portrait, the essence of the people we love.

Marlene and John aren’t just great photographers, they are*gifted* artists whose inborn talents cannot be denied. On top of that, they are incredibly nice, down-to-earth people and reliable, responsible and trustworthy business people.

We planned our wedding around their availability. Need I say more?

Oh okay, fine, I'll say more.
I'm a wedding photographer too, so I knew from the beginning that choosing our photographer would be the single most important decision we would make as we planned our wedding. It was more important than clothes or flowers or even the venue, because none of that compared in value to the ability to relive our wedding memories when we're old and gray. I knew that the images from our wedding would be priceless reminders of all the emotion and moments of our day.

What I wasn't prepared for was how awesome the experience would be.

A friend recommended them and we quickly fell in love with their work. We did an engagement session before our wedding, which I highly recommend, not just because having engagement photos is awesome (we used prints of them as wedding décor and for our guestbook), but it gives you a great opportunity to get to know your photographer.

By the time our wedding day rolled around, we were completely at ease in front of the camera, and Marlene and John blended right in with our people as they covered every angle of our wedding day.

Although we always knew that hiring them would be the best wedding investment we made, it's a total delight now to watch and listen as everyone else realizes it, delightedly soaking up all the memories and emotions of our wedding through their artful documentation. They are incredibly talented at capturing moments and stories through their lenses, and we're thrilled that we can relive our wedding day through their beautiful photographs. We absolutely love our wedding photos, and so does everyone else! Koman Photography truly captured the spirit and story of our day in an artistic, photojournalistic way. We couldn't be happier!

John and his wife Marlene are amazing photographers and we were lucky enough to be able to have them as our wedding photographers. Throughout the planning process they were relaxed and helpful. They promptly responded to all of our email questions/worries and put us at ease. They did a great job making us feel at ease while capturing the moment. They can blend in with the wedding to get the best candid photos and when they find a great opportunity for a special shot then make it happen. They were alway there when we asked for impromptu portraits with various combinations of friends and family. There were parts of the day, like getting ready, and after the ceremony photos with just me and my new husband that I felt like they really helped me feel in the moment. When all is said and done, the pictures are all you have & these are the pictures you want. Marlene and John did a great job. The pictures were absolutely beautiful. They captured our amazing day with such creative and beautiful photos. Every time I look at them I smile from ear to ear. We had so many good photos to choose from. They took so many photos in different locations at our venue which was wonderful. We had so many good ones! The packages are reasonable so don't let this fool you - Koman Photography does a phenomenal job.

Koman Photography shot our engagement and wedding photos. Neither I or my husband are particularly comfortable in front of the camera and we're far from pros. They made us feel at ease. Marlene and John are incredibly professional, and at the same time they're kind, wonderfully humored, and easy going.
We are beyond thrilled with our pictures, we get so many compliments, and we've recommended them to many people.

My husband and I hired John and Marlene as the photographers for our wedding last year. Being very particular about photos in general, I was very picky when deciding on a photographer. I didn't want the run-of-the-mill photos that most people tend to get, especially for our wedding. When I came across Koman Photography’s website I was blown away by their artistic take on their photography. Basically, I fell in love with their work. Browsing through the site I didn't think we would be able to afford them, BUT.... Their prices are INCREDIBLY reasonable. Much more affordable than other photographers in town! Their final product of our wedding was AMAZING! We love our photos!!! Words can't express how happy we are... Their photos truly represent us as a couple. And I must add as a final note- Marlene and John are WONDERFUL to work with!!! It was like they were guests at our wedding!

Marlene and John shot our Wedding 05/12/2013. What can I say about them that hasn't been already said- they are professional, friendly, very organized, down to earth people and very talented. I was really happy to hear that they were available for our wedding so I immediately put a deposit down. They had done another friend's wedding the previous year and that couple had nothing but positive things to say about them as well.

We did an engagement session and we had been a little nervous beforehand, but once we got started with John and Marlene’s directions the day was really fun and easy and it just confirmed for us that we had chosen the right photographers!

The photos from the e-session and the wedding are so amazing and we've gotten so many compliments about them. They have such an artistic style and use so many interesting angles that make your photos look so incredible. Some of our favorite photos are some from when we had no idea they were even taking any shots, even one where we thought we were just walking from one point to another in the garden. I had also been worried about the ceremony, because we had been to a few weddings where the photographer was moving all around the front of the ceremony so that a lot of what I remember from those ceremonies was just all the movement and intrusiveness of the photographer. However, this was not the case at all with John and Marlene.

They have such a great way of capturing the feeling of the day, the emotion, the love, and the happiness all in still photographs. Everything is just easy when working with them, where you don't have to worry about anything. After the e-session and the wedding we really feel more like friends with Marlene and John (than just a client/vendor relationship).

We wholeheartedly recommend Koman Photography and have already referred a couple of newly engaged couples to them.

I can't even begin to express how pleased Thomas and I were with the photography service you provided for our wedding. From the engagement photo shoot to the wedding day, you made it such a fun experience for all of us! I had told you at our initial meeting about how I was never happy with any photos of myself, but you changed all of that! Dear John, you immediately put us at ease during our intro meeting and we were right not to have any doubt about choosing you. We were lucky to have both you and Marlene on the day, which meant some great photos from various angles - especially during the ceremony when Marlene stayed with me and my Dad on the stairs while you stayed at the front getting shots of the nervous groom...You both blended in so well with all our guests - laughing, putting us at ease and even offering to remove the wrinkles from my husband's grand mother in photos of her which definitely made her day! We were lucky enough to have a very sunny late October wedding day, so after the group photos in front of the Barn, we were able to take a lovely walk around the gardens and the photos have beautifully captured the light and colors and also how much we enjoyed the day. We wouldn't have any hesitation recommending you and we're thrilled with the photos as a memory of our wedding day.

After meeting with a few photographers, a friend recommended we meet with Koman Photography. We instantly knew they were a cut above the rest and were the only people we would trust to capture our wedding. The result was the most beautiful wedding album and pictures(thank you Marlene and John for always making me feel beautiful in your photos. Given wedding photographers follow you around your whole wedding day, they should be considerate and unobtrusive and they were just that. They captured every key moment and really put a lot of work into making the pictures look amazing. Now that we have a little addition to our family, I cant wait for John and Marlene to photograph us all again. Highly recommended!

We met Marlene and John about 9 months before our wedding. They showed us their wonderful photographs and albums and we fell in love with their work straight away. We didn't need to look any further for photographers! They are really lovely people to work with, very friendly and professional. They weren’t put off when we told them we didn’t like having our photos taken, which is testimony to their endless patience and positivity. On the day they worked so hard, yet at the same time (in the nicest possible way!) we forgot they were there – which means we have amazing photos of ourselves and our guests that bring back all the emotions of the day, they captured the feelings so well. Our guests all commented how lovely Marlene and John were, and we do not hesitate in recommending them to anyone looking for outstanding photos of their special events.

The work Marlene and John produced is both technically outstanding and an absolute delight to look at. They captured so many nuances of the day and the photos include everything we could have ever wanted from creatively staged portraits to wonderful, natural shots that they captured of so many of the guests. Their creativity is endless and their dedication to getting the right shot is commendable (lying on the floor or twisting around boiling hot radiators, walking around in the rain etc). They are also an absolute pleasure to deal with - they were never demanding on our time and worked around what we wanted to do on the day. You basically have a couple of thoroughly nice, easy going and fun people join you for the day and this couple just happens to produce the most exquisite photographs ever. We cannot recommend them enough
When we got the photos back we were amazed at the beauty, variety of shots and how they managed to tell the story of our day so perfectly. Many of our friends were absolutely wowed out and even some of my professional photographer friends said the quality of Koman Photography’s photos were something to aim for. I can't recommend them enough!

We are really happy we booked Koman Photography. We hired them for an engagement session and wedding photography. My husband hates taking pictures, which makes me hate taking pictures with him, but our first session with John & Marlene was so fun, easy, and relaxing that we didn't hate taking the pictures at all. After having that experience with the engagement session, I knew that I could let loose and trust them with taking pictures for the wedding day. We got our pictures back faster than any couple I know has received theirs (both the engagement and weddings pics). They work hard and they're good at what they do. They were always punctual, professional, and kind. I highly recommend using Koman Photography! Now that our wedding is over, I will miss them. :)

My husband and I shot our engagement photos with Koman Photography and had the best experience! They made us feel comfortable and really captured our love. When we got the pictures we couldn't believe how amazing they were that we knew we had to broke them right away as our wedding photographers. On our wedding day they arrived on time stayed out of the way but still captured every moment. They were extremely professional and worked so hard to make sure we had great pictures and great pictures we got. I'm so HAPPY with our wedding pictures and can't stop looking at them! We were extremely amazed and appreciative of the photography work John and Marlene provided for our wedding and engagement session. They offer very straightforward packages that give you the flexibility of choosing exactly what you want. Perhaps there may be photography teams who charge slightly less but that is most likely because the quality of their work in noway compares to Koman Photography.

John and Marlene (and Anna) are an absolute dream. My husband and I both feel really uncomfortable in front of the camera, but our engagement pictures were so gorgeous that we we didn't have to spend a single moment worrying about what the pictures would look like on the wedding day. The photos are composed beautifully, and they also managed to capture the sweetest, goofiest, most romantic, most natural moments between the two of us. We are of the opinion that they are absolutely worth every penny. They are so ridiculously talented, and on a personal level, they were completely delightful.
