Beautiful and delicious!
Chef Lisa is the most wonderful person. She is even more gifted as a chef! I have celiacs disease and her gluten free cake was amazing! She was so accommodating for my dietary needs. Every single guest commented on how delicious the cake was. They also commented on how beautiful it was! It was all white with piping and different designs per layer. It was perfect! We also had chef Lisa make cookies for us as favors to the wedding. Our guests loved all her creations! Thank you sooo much chef Lisa!! -

Great cake!
Our cake came out perfect! It was a beautiful balance of buttercream and floral accents! We are still getting complements on the flavor. The cake was a hit! -

Everyone at Kiss the Cook cakes were so nice and so easy to work with. We ordered both the brides cake and the grooms cake from Kiss the Cook. They were the best cakes I have ever tasted. We ordered the regular buttercream and white wedding cake with some tiers with raspberry filling for the brides cake. For the grooms cake we ordered chocolate icing with chocolate cake. Both cakes were so moist and so fresh! They were so good! I would HIGHLY recommend the team at Kiss the Cook Cakes for any wedding cakes you need! -

Nothing but 5 out of 5 stars and appreciation for Kiss the Cook Cakes! Book them! It's one of the best decisions you'll make for your special day.
Our 4 tier bridal cake (buttercream with lemon, raspberry, and cream cheese! YUM!) and chocolate styled fondant groom's cake were both absolutely the most delicious cakes we've ever tried! We still have leftovers in tupperware in our fridge and 2 weeks later (not even kidding!) they are still moist and flavorful. We couldn't believe it!
Lisa and Barbara were extremely helpful at our consultation and let us try a ZILLION flavors until we were satisfied! Lisa even went the extra mile to discuss with me that she uses REAL butter in her cakes, not Crisco, and let me know that the cake would be off-white. Apparently brides these days are insistent on a true white color and she didn't want me to be surprised when cutting into the cake, day of. I thought this was professional and very helpful to mention to me (since I didn't mind, at all!). Barbara sketched out what we wanted for both cakes, right there at the consultation, so we could physically see what would be showing up, day of!
We got married in Austin, but of course the cakes were baked in Houston and transported in Lisa's vehicle. They showed up completely intact and fresh, she attached the blooms I had set aside for her to use from the florist, and they looked and tasted AMAZING!
My husband and I cannot recommend KTCC enough. We had THE BEST wedding cake experience and can't wait to reach out to Lisa for some of our top tier for the first anniversary! YUM! -

The ladies at Kiss the Cook Cakes are so pleasant to work with. They stayed true to the vision I had of my dream wedding cake and by far exceeded my expectations. Not only was the decor phenomenal, but the cake was delicious, I wish I would've eaten a lot more of it! I am definitely looking forward to our one year anniversary to eat some delicious cake! I truly Loved the work they did. -

Lisa and Barbara were a delight to work with...two of the nicest and sweetest ladies you'll have the pleasure of working with. I took in a picture from Pinterest of the cake I wanted and a paint swatch so she knew what color I wanted, and she went to town. I had an ombre cake that was beautiful and tasted delicious. The grooms cake was an oil derrick and while it was a challenging cake to make, it was a piece of artwork that everybody loved. Flavor on it was funfetti (his favorite)! All the guests told us how good the cakes were and that they went back for seconds. Kiss the Cook Cakes is creative, easy to work with, tasty, and all around a great place to get your wedding cakes! -

We tasted every cake in the area and theirs is BY FAR the best. We wanted traditional cake with none of the fruits or flavors most bakeries were using to cover up their dry cake. Kiss the Cook rocks! We had such a great brainstorming session, and they really helped me focus all of my ideas into one cake. They also made our groom's cake which was quite a challenge (a car on a football field). We were so impressed with their creativity and willingness to work with us. Thanks again Kiss the Cook!! -

Kiss the Cook was by far the best cake place we went to. Their service was amazing. They just want to make your cake perfectly to the way you want it. Another thing was it was the best tasting cake too! Very moist and delicious! If you are looking for an outstanding wedding cake then this is for sure the best place to go! -

We got both the groom's cake and the wedding (bridal) cake from them. The both turned out to be so fun and just as designed. The also tasted delicious! The process of tasting and designing the cakes was very easy and a much better experience than I was expecting. -

Service, sincerity and scrumptious are the 3 words I can use to describe the cakes and experience from this vendor. You will want to kiss and devour Lisa's delicious cakes. She puts love into every bite. At your tasting, it is critical that you take the time to describe your vision. She executed our vision perfectly and then some. Our cake not only tasted good, but it looked absolutely FABULOUS! Everyone at our reception commented on the outstanding cake. She is timely with her service and sincere in wanting the best for all of her brides. She also cares just as much about pleasing the groom and can make his sports or favorite hobby come alive through a creatively designed cake. For top-notch service that ends deliciously, I recommend Kiss the Cook Cakes.

Kiss the Cook cakes provided us with exceptional service as well as a beautiful wedding cake for our special day. The owder of this company is a sweet, understanding, and attentive woman that puts her heart into each cake that is made. The cake that was designed for our wedding truly reflected our personal tastes as well as incorporated our wedding colors perfectly. The best part about the cake, was enjoying the cake itself. The cake was extremely moist and the flavors that we elected to have, raspberry and lemon, were delicious! The cake itself has even remained moist and flavorful now after 4 days in our fridge. We would give a 5-star recommendation to anyone looking not only for an aesthetically pleasing cake, but one that tastes delicious!

We loved our cake! We had 5 tiers, all different flavors and it turned out lovely. The only thing is that if you can't make it to their scheduled tasting and you have to make an outside appt to taste their cake, they won't have much of a selection for you. We only got to try the almond and the chocolate cake. But both were great! All of the flavors of the wedding cake tasted great. They also make a small cake for you on your one year anniversary which I thought was special. Great vendor! -

They were a part of our package from the Marriott so I really don't know what there cost is. They did everything we asked for and there were no extra or hidden fees. They had flexible times for tasting and all were yummy! The cake was as beautiful as it was tasty! They contacted me a couple of times to be sure I got everything we wanted. It was perfect....would use them again for a special occation! -

Kiss the Cook Cakes made us a bride and grooms cake that were so beautiful I could not have even imagined they would look so great until we saw them in person. At our first consultation with Kiss the Cook Cakes, I presented a picture to Lisa of what I was wanting exactly and they were able to pull off the design perfectly. A few months before our wedding date, I decided to add on a grooms cake for my husband as a surprise and they were very flexible in accommodating this request so close to the wedding date. The cakes were not only beautiful, but they were delicious - we did their famous buttercream buttercream for our brides cake and red velvet with cream cheese icing (my husband favorite) for the grooms cake. Our guests enjoyed the cakes and we couldn't be more happy with our choice. Kiss the Cook Cakes even offers to make the married couple an anniversary cake (top tier) freshly made and baked to eat on your first year anniversary. It was a challenge at times to receive a call back or email at times due to their volume of customers which I can understand, Kiss the Cook Cakes is highly recommended. -

The owner of the shop is GREAT! She is so sweet and friendly and works with you. She is creative and an artist! The prices are a little high for fondant, but its all about the quality of what you are looking for. -

The cake was absolutely delicious! Unfortunately, that is the only good thing I can say about the cake. What I had visioned, what not what was delivered to me on my wedding day. I was upset, but I didn't let it ruin my day. It honestly looked like she had thrown it together as she was walking out the door to deliver it. None of the piping was the same size, there were gaps in the piping, the top fondant piece that was suppose to be 1 solid piece draped over the top layer of the cake, was multiple strips pieced together. It looked NOTHING like any of the cakes she has on display in her shop. She was quick to return a phone call to my wedding planner, after she left her a message. I was refunded a little less than half my money, and I received a free anniversary cake. (Which wasn't that great anyway.)

Our tasting and consultation seemed successful and while I thought the cakes were a little expensive, I felt confident that we were going to get exactly what we wanted. However, we were extremely disappointed with what we received.
My now husband attended the consultation and described a detailed University of Texas grooms cake. He wanted an orange base in the shape of Texas and a raised white longhorn logo on top. He provided pictures of what he wanted and was very specific. The design of the cake was okay, but the designer had added random grass and graham cracker "dirt" sprinkled around the cake. It really ruined the look of the cake. Our real issue however, was that one of the horns of the longhorn had completely fallen off. I'm assuming it was still attached when the representative from Kiss the Cooks set it up, but now I don't even have a picture of the cake without a huge crack in the horn and it dangling from the cake. When contacted after the wedding, KTCC was extremely apologetic and refunded half of what we paid for the groom's cake.
On to the bride's cake. The design was mostly what I had chosen. I chose a "quilted" design for the cake and she had asked me what I would like at each cross-section: a silver bead, an icing dot, or an edible pearl? A chose the edible pearls. The cake at the wedding had icing dots. We had 210 guests at the wedding and we chose a four-tier cake. As my husband and I were cutting the cake at the wedding, our wedding coordinator whispered to us to remember that the bottom tier was fake and they would be serving from sheet cake in the kitchen. I was shocked. I was NEVER told that this would be the case. This might have been okay with us, but I still can't believe it wasn't discussed at the consultation.
Bottom line, I definitely would NOT recommend KTCC and if I could do it again, I would use Cake Junkie in College Station. I have used them for other occasions and they make a beautiful and PHENOMENAL tasting cake. -

Horrible service and over rated cake
Horrible customer service, quality is not worth the price, and received a partial refund for a wedding cake she cancelled on. We had her make a birthday cake and Lisa could not follow simple instructions. I had a discussion inquiring about the cake that was made incorrectly and looked like it was slapped together. Lisa had a mental breakdown and cancelled our wedding cake that is a month and a half away on NYE. She only gave a partial refund. Over rated and not worth the money. Kiss the cook Lisa wants you to kiss her ass and praise her cakes stroking her ego. She cannot handle constructive feedback and nor does she want to make up for the trashy birthday cake she made. Good thing we are not having her cake at the wedding. -

Both the Wedding Cake and Groom's cake were a disaster at our daughter's wedding. Neither was decorated properly (and we had taken pictures to them), the wedding cake missing a layer and a flavor (there were supposed to be 3 flavors). The Groom's cake was supposed to be a carrot cake and it was the nastiest tasting spice cake I have ever tried to eat. After MANY emails and phone calls between our venue (who uses her as their preferred baker --- hopefully that will change) and our wedding planner, Lisa FINAlly returned half our money. All during this time, Lisa never talked to us directly. Our daughter doesn't even want pictures of the cakes in her Wedding album. -
