Our experience with King Studios was great! They utilized a great system to track song lists and wedding info to get a very detailed idea of our wedding. The planning meeting with Nathan before our wedding went smoothly, and all questions we had were addressed. Our DJ, Sam, fulfilled every request we had. He did a great job making sure everyone was able to hear during the ceremony (on top of a mountain). Sam played all our must haves and avoided our no-play list songs. He worked very well with our day of coordinator, and the guests were dancing the whole night. -

We had an AMAZING experience with King Studios and Patrick as our wedding DJ. Our wedding was at Wintergreen resort, the ceremony location required a sound system with its own power source, which King Studios was able to accommodate. We had unexpected rain during the ceremony and had to move the reception inside, Patrick was able to easily shift everything indoors with no hesitation. I appreciated the conference call the week before to finalize all the details and help pick out some of the last minute songs. Patrick did an awesome job with all of the events of the wedding day and once the dance floor opened he had everyone dancing the entire night! It was one of the best wedding DJs I have have ever experienced! It was perfect and I couldn't thank Patrick and Kings Studios enough! 10/10 recommend! -

King studios was a great choice for our wedding DJ! We used King Studios for both the ceremony music & sound system, as well as for the reception. When the ceremony music started playing, my bridesmaid asked me if I had hired a live string quartet, as the sound quality of the music was that good. The microphone system used during the ceremony was also high quality, and no one had any issues hearing our vows.
We had a planning meeting with Nathan and had Sam as our DJ the day of. Both were great. Sam stuck to our desired playlist completely, and knew exactly what to play and when. He played all of our important songs ( processional, recessional, cake cutting, first dance, last dance, etc.) as instructed with no issues.
You will not be disappointed with King Studios on your wedding vendor team! -

Nathan is seriously the BEST. He was such a pleasure to work with and really brought our wedding to life. There was not one moment that the dance floor was not filled with people dancing, singing, and having a blast. Nathan was able to read the crowd so perfectly and played the best music all night. He also provided the ceremony music for our wedding and did a fantastic job with the introductions, announcements, etc. -

We needed to book a DJ last minute, and King Studios LLC was fantastic to work with from the beginning. We enjoyed having a conference with a representative from King Studios via video chat prior to the wedding. Our representative went over our initial ceremony and reception schedule with us and even offered advice on how to make the schedule flow more naturally. The DJ made our reception so fun! Our guests never left the dance floor! Gordan was our DJ for the day and he was extremely professional and personable. He made us feel like we did not have to worry about a single thing. He took care of everything-- even down to personally walking around the venue to dismiss tables to the buffet line himself. Thank you for everything, King Studios LLC!!! -

Nathan at King Studios was the key piece to making our wedding run so smoothly! So professional from the very start, he made time for us to chat about the process and services they offer before we booked which really helped me feel confident this was going to be a stress-free experience. They have a really great system for planning out all of the details of your event! The planning forms include pretty much any particulars you could ever need for your wedding, and the song lists are really easy to navigate. The uplighting was well worth the money! We talked about our color scheme and what color lights might work best, and Nathan just nailed it! It just made the whole venue really pop! He did a wonderful job running the show throughout the night and our guests had a great time. Even though we had a fairly small guest count, composed of a lot of bashful dancers, we were really pleased that most still managed to get out on the dance floor! From start to finish, we knew the whole time that our wedding was in good hands! Thanks for everything, Nathan!

Nathan was wonderful at our wedding of 35 guests! When originally planning he mentioned how hard it may be to keep guests on the dance floor, but with his fun demeanor and spot on song choices our guests had fun all night long. He also worked with me to get a custom GOBO for our dance floor! -

We were so happy to have found Nathan to DJ our wedding. He was responsive and very organized. He has multiple planning tools to make sure everything runs on schedule. He played music for both our ceremony and reception. He was able to take a few song suggestions and make the perfect playlist. He has an online playlist tool that allows you to add songs you would like to play (or not have played) and you can add as many or as few as you desire (he can build his own set list if you are more flexible). It was a dream to work with him! -

I cannot speak highly enough of our experience working with King Studios and DJ Sam King for our wedding day! They are an experienced, professional group that is fun and easy to work with. From the beginning, Nathan King provided me with detailed planning forms in order to build the music around our ceremony and reception exactly as we were envisioning. About a month before the wedding, we had a very productive phone conversation to review every detail of our music and timeline. He ensured proper pronunciation of everyone’s names, offered advice on planning our timeline based on his experience, had contingency plans ready for our outdoor ceremony in case of rain and was able to answer every one of my many questions. Sam King was the DJ for our wedding, and he was so great! He was very polite and professional throughout the evening, checking in with us every so often to see where we were on our timeline. He had a perfect sense of songs to play to keep everyone on the dance floor, and did a great job introducing and carrying out a unique Western Pennsylvania traditional bridal polka money dance. Overall, we were extremely pleased with King Studios and absolutely recommend their services to anyone! -

We hired King Studios to do our mics for the ceremony and DJ our reception (they will also do ceremony and cocktail hour music if you want). We ended up working with Nathan King and he was awesome. They have great planning forms online and he meets with you to plan out everything before the wedding. I have seen some horrible Djs at other weddings but he did an outstanding job. He even met with the whole bridal party prior to us walking in to make sure he knew how to say everyone’s name right etc. I did work on making a playlist with him but he felt out the crowd and played music that got everyone up and dancing. All my guest commented on how great he was. -

Nathan King was not only a superb DJ, but emcee and planned as well. My guests were delighted to be informed and I was happy everything happened to schedule. He worked with my venue coordinator and photographers to ensure everything happened in sequence while adjusting as needed. His user friendly website to build my playlist was a joy and it helped to work on it and save for later. The lights were an additional touch That really turned up the wedding to a dance party! He customized my entire playlist to my liking while still being able to take requests and read the crowd. If they weren’t too far I’d hire them for my corporate events! -

King Studios did a wonderful job DJing our wedding! They had the dance floor packed all night long and my guests all commented on how great Nathan did :) Thanks for making our day wonderful.
Best part - we had a call with Nathan leading up to our wedding and he understood what we wanted from our day even when we couldn't fully depict it. They are the pros and help make our vague description a reality! Thank you, Nathan!!

From the start, King Studios was extremely professional and we knew we made the right decision to hire them! The detailed questionnaire they had us fill out before the wedding covered every issue that could have arisen the evening of our wedding and we also had a very helpful phone call with the studio a week or so before the wedding to discuss our music preferences, the timeline of the wedding, and other items they would be assisting with. Gordon Weirich was our DJ and did a fantastic job! He was extremely professional from start to finish, chose great music to appease all ages of the crowd, and kept everyone dancing all night! We had close friends performing our ceremony music and they were more than willing to let them hook into their sound equipment to make everything run smoothly. King Studios was a key reason our wedding day went so smoothly and I would recommend them to anyone getting married in the Charlottesville-Staunton area! In fact, our cousin was so impressed on our wedding day that she even decided to hire King Studios for her wedding next summer! -

Katie Sent on 06/12/2017Sam King was our DJ, and my husband and I cannot say enough good things about him. All of our communication was with Nathan, who was very flexible and accommodating. We filled out the forms on their website, and Nathan set up a meeting with us to go over our music choices and timeline. What my husband and I thought were odd requests, Nathan told us they were no problem at all and Sam was able to accommodate all of them. Sam also quickly picked up on the type of music we wanted to be played and was great at giving me a heads up on what was coming next (first dances, bouquet toss, etc.). Sam exceeded our expectations, and we highly recommend King Studios. -

Nathan was professional, easy to work with, adaptable, and extremely fair priced compared to other DJs in the area. Both my groom and I felt like Nathan had the entire ceremony and reception covered with no problems. From the pre-ceremony music to the final song of the evening, all song selections were perfect. He knew what he was doing, kept the crowd dancing, and kept my groom and I apprised of what was coming next whenever our wedding planner was running around doing other things. Great service. His professionalism and mic presence is stellar and he is worth every penny. He is able to keep the reception on time and moving and kept our guests dancing until the last minute of our reception. He has great lighting effects and a wonderful website that allows all the music to be picked out for every event at the reception. If you are looking for a top of the line DJ this is the vendor you need. -

He really when above and beyond in helping everything run smoothly and working with us to make our ideas come to life. He was also incredibly flexible by keeping the party going an extra 30 minutes (which we paid him for) so our guests waiting for the second bus shuttle could keep the party going. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a great DJ in the Harrisonburg area. -

We loved working with King Studios!! Sam King was a wonderful MC and DJ for our wedding reception! Everything flowed smoothly, and he was very professional, as well as fun and light-hearted. He read the mood of the crowd very well and played a great selection of music! You can tell this company is well-established and knows what they're doing, which is so reassuring for a bride and groom!! They were also very flexible, and extending for a little bit of extra dance time was a simple process to keep the party running smoothly! We would totally book with them again. :) At times communication was a little difficult via email (took a few days before we got a response about payments and such), but once we did our planning call my husband and I felt much better about ensuring we were on the same page, and we felt that Sam and Nathan really strived to help us create the atmosphere we desired for our reception! Thanks guys!!! -

Nathan was so professional and and went above and beyond throughout our day. We also had a variety of music requests, and Nathan was able to accommodate them all. Overall it was a fantastic experience!
