Kim Starr Wise did an amazing job creating centerpieces for a destination Rehearsal Dinner in NOLA. They were extremely professional and responsive and the room (otherwise simply decorated) looked luxurious and special. Highly, highly recommend. -

My wife and I just had a masquerade ball themed wedding and Kim did such an absolutely incredible job we honestly couldn't believe it. Everything was so beautiful it was even better than we imagined. We couldn't be happier! -

Kim and her team were absolutely amazing and flawless in the floral design for our wedding. She saw our vision and executed it perfectly! The ceremony and reception vibe were stunning as was the bridal bouquet. Kim was patient with us while we had to reschedule and reconfigure and we are so grateful for her excellent execution in the flowers for our wedding! -

Out of state residents with our wedding at the Riverview Room in Nola. It was beautiful and so much fun. Flowers were beautiful, champagne wall, furniture indoor and out. Very nice. -

They were professional, attentive and willing to collaborate - between designing boutineers to taming a little of the wildness from the Vibrance photos - they were thoughtful, patient flower experts who did a wonderful job! I was planning from out-of-state. They were willing to come meet me on a Monday, despite the fact that the shop was closed that day so we could have a face-to-face during my travels. Can't say enough about how great they were and how lovely all the flowers looked!

Melissa Sent on 11/25/2017Kim and her talented team were just absolutely AMAZING! I know nothing about flowers and arrangements and I am absolutely glad that I left that in their hands. Our consultation included us talking about themes, likes/dislikes, colors, etc. I was a little embarrassed because I really didn't have any sort of vision in mind, but the team did a wonderful job guiding me through it and the results were just gorgeous. My only requirement for them was: "make it pretty" and BOY were they ever. There were many components to my flowers that I couldn't have imagined that combining them together would make great results, but with their talent and vision it ended up so beautiful and everyone loved them! Their communication was also great, always keeping me in the loop and answering any questions I had. They delivered everything on time and everything went off without a hitch! Top notch service and beautiful work! If you find yourself wondering who to choose for any floral event, stop looking because Kim and her team are the best in the business!

They work professionally and efficiently and I left each appointment feeling like I had a clear idea of what we discussed. Pre-wedding appointments can get overwhelming, I'm not a person who likes endless options and fuss. While KSW offers a vast inventory and countless possibilities she streamlines the whole process by listening carefully to the client. With KSW, options are limitless, but the selection process is controlled and manageable. Also, (floral vendors, take note!) she offers gorgeous linens and table decor alongside her florals.. First off it just makes sense to have florals and linens from the same vendor as you don't have to stress about creating a cohesive look with your own untrained eye. Second, a one stop shop for both??? Yes please!!
I love the look KSW gave NOMA for my wedding reception. Such a blank canvas and large space requires a true professional who takes great care into her work. I could not be happier and will sing her praises to any Nola bride from now on!! -

I wanted emerald green to be a highlight for our wedding and Kim totally understood my floral quirkiness and executed arrangements beyond my expectations. All of her work is just beautiful and she is so pleasant to work with. I cannot recommend her enough. -

Megan Sent on 05/07/2012Kim was great! I had a very limited budget for flowers and she was so accommodating and willing to work with me. I met with her in her studio and brought some of pictures of my ideas and she immediately picked up on the look I was after and helped me figure out ways to make it work within my budget. I didn’t think that I was going to be able to afford bridesmaids bouquets, but she came up with the idea of using single blooms of hydrangeas with ribbons and they looked beautiful on our wedding day. My bouquet was just right for our outdoor wedding and the table arrangements were perfect! I absolutely loved how she included the blue thistle that I wanted and also how she used Bells of Ireland, a flower I had never even heard of, to create gorgeous height to the ceremony arrangements! She definitely stretched my budget and made it a memorable occasion! My only regret is that I did not have the money for more flowers because she is truly an artist. -

Every detail was perfect, and they went above and beyond what we had requested and hoped for. They were a pleasure to work with from start to finish, and we knew all along we were in excellent hands. Amazing work!!

My La Vie en Rose Wedding Dreams!
KSW is a cut above the rest! They really listened to my dreams and wishes for our special day. Their art made our day so romantic. Our "altar" was roses, grape vines, ivy, snap dragons and jasmine cascading from the Degas House fountain. The tables were lit by candle light within glass sleeves. The fragrance from my bouquet made everyone swoon. I highly recommend their services. -

I am so upset with how this florist has handled this situation with COVID-19. Sadly, we had to postpone our wedding 7 days before our date. My future MIL emailed her to find out our options. Kim’s response was that, though this was out of everybody’s control, she would only return “Delievery/setup/removal + taxes” and would offer a “courtesy” 10% discount on our reorder. Considering the amount we spent, this felt like a slap in the face.
Kim told us she would only refund $2,000 (coming from aforementioned amount) out of a $7,000 bill and that she would send the bulk order of flowers to our house. This means she charged us for WHOLE centerpieces, bouquets, boutonnieres and a fully put together flower arch (Not to mention non florals like the isle runner, candles, ribbons). None of which we actually received. She has NOT provided an invoice from her wholesaler to explain the large amount she kept.
After speaking with our lawyer, it is our understanding of the contract that a clause called Force Majeure would apply given that Governmental Authorities are the reason for our postponement. This clause would qualify us for a FULL refund. Kim then told us that this clause only would have applied if we had waited to postpone until two days later even though we postponed AFTER the 250 person gathering limit was enforced and our second line was cancelled—by government order. Given this part of the contract AND that we paid for complete wedding florals and received bulk flowers we will be taking legal action.
We would have been understanding about a certain amount of loss had we felt we were met with reason and some compassion (*NOTE* I had a friend getting married on the same day as us who postponed on the same day as us and her florist returned ALL funds after she successfully re-sold all of their flowers mitigating loss on all ends). Kim instead suggested we donate at our own loss after her very small refund was processed. Obviously we highly recommend finding a different florist as we will be for our postponed wedding.

Total Disappointment!
On 10/15 I hired Kim Star Wise florist to provide flowers for my son's rehearsal dinner at Antoines.I never used her, but the company ratings and the website appeared to look good. Don't be fooled.
I was extremely disappointed! You as a possible customer, can be the judge. I am proving the invoice, a photo and the correspondence with Kim after the event.
I must say I do not have any complaint on the small bouquets, but a huge disappoint on the garland. In an email dated 9/30 I requested a "garland with dark green foliage with tiny white flowers that make a WOW statement". I was charged, just for the garland, $300 per table, 13 tables, total $3,900.
As you can see from the photos, the greenery has no resemblance of a garland. The greens were just minimal and looked tosses flat on the table. The spray roses were not available (understandable), so a few large roses were placed on the greenery snipped off at the base. No ribbon. No creativity and definitely no WOW factor! BTW, I was also charged $1,316. for delivery, set up and removal.
Does the attached photo look like a $8,522 job?
I reached out to talk with Kim and received the email attached. It sounded to me like she was pleased with her work.
In the spirit of transparency, you can be the judge.
Sadly, you only get one crack at a wedding or rehearsal.
Make sure to really look at the work of the vendor and not just what they post. -
