Marlyne Sent on 08/05/2016I called Kenwood two weeks before my wedding and she absolutely accommodated me on the spot!
she was a great listener and offered great advice on how to make my vision of my cake perfect!
I made all the arrangements over the phone and via email since the location was about 1 hr and a half from me.
Kenwood Kakes also supplied everything needed from the cake cutting tools and wood slice decor.
I got to see my cake as I entered the venue. It was everything I wished for and more.
I recommend Kenwood Kakes to anyone who's planning a special occasion!

User2156182 Sent on 05/31/2015Kenwood kakes gave me the most unique rustic setup for my wedding cake along with the most delicious. Not only have I went to this business for my wedding but recently entrusted them with my gender reveal party. Kenwood kakes made that day such a wonderful suprise I'll never forget. They've been there for very important celebrations in my life and I plan on using them again in the future and would highly recommend them to anyone. -
User2771909 Sent on 09/18/2016At first after looking at pictures and getting a price quote doing the taste tastings ect I was very pleased with the services. When I saw our cake my jaw just about hit the floor. It looked nothing like the cake we wanted which she had done previously. It looked as if someone just very quickly decorated it to get it done. The cupcakes were good but the cake was the most important part and it was totally botched from a decorative standpoint. Not a 200.00 cake in my opinion. If it was possible to upload a picture to compare the two I would. Incredibly disappointed by what I thought would be an amazing wedding cake.

I cannot even begin to explain, defend, or discuss details of a cake, when I have no idea who left this message. If legitimate, Im sorry you were displeased and wished you'd come directly to me to discuss. I also want to add that when someone leaves a message like this without attaching their name, it usually means this person can't be pleased no matter what. If it's who I thiink it is, i dealt with your fiance 95% of the time and there was never a photo to reference from, and you didn't want to pay the extra expense for it detailed in fondant which is the norm for that style. Also, I do not feel that I botch cakes. Maybe a miscommunication. Sorry you felt this way on your special day. -

However, I was not pleased with being charged an extra $50 two weeks prior to my wedding after I had already paid the balance because the price of eggs increased. I understand the price went up, but I had a contract and receipts was a total amount stated on it and I don't believe an increase in eggs is quite that much! I also was not happy how my reception venue was spoken about. I feel that if you are being hired by someone for a service, you may not want to accuse their venue of sabotaging your business. Also two weeks prior to the wedding, it was also requested that we bring home the cake stands after the reception and not leave them there over night. I understand things happen and she was concerned about the stands but we really had to jump through hoops to get them home. Lastly, just as a heads up, I was told that in the future if you are booking with Dibble's Inn for your reception, she will no longer be booking cakes/cupcakes with you. So if you are planning on having your reception at Dibble's, I recommend you look elsewhere. -
User2673884 Sent on 07/05/2016We ordered 200 filled cupcakes and followed her advice for numbers and amounts ordered. She and I went over the order in detail and she called back promptly with an amount which I paid in full about a month before the wedding. The week before the wedding, she contacted my daughter to say she had lost our order, then when she found it, emailed her to say that I had told her we weren't having any fillings. When I called her to challenge her on that she said I had not paid for fillings. I asked her for a complete invoice and she realized I had paid for them, although then she told me she never would have approved coconut filling as it can't be used in cupcakes. Two days later she called to demand another $100. I told her we had already paid and she was being unethical. She hung up on me. Although I felt that I should not have to pay more, I called her back and offered to split the difference. The cupcakes were delivered on time, and looked gorgeous. However some varieties were not filled at all, and others had a very tiny amount of filling, and did not match the flavors we had ordered. If you work with her, get everything in writing and in detail. I am told the vegan cupcakes were dry and not worth the extra money.

Well in this case, im going to have to disagree and defend myself here and say that you are just flat out lieing, and you know that you are...
You for warned me that you were going to trash me all over social media, way before this event.
I will not get into great detail on here, but will leave you with this..
I do not ever lose orders, nor did i tell you that.
You heard what you wanted to hear and then took total advantage of me. You told me "no fillings", then when having to answer to your daughter, you promptly threw me under the bus and wanted everything for peanuts.
I am always open to constructive critism, but will defend myself when somebody is attacking me and just a troublemaker.
The customer is not always right, and when someone like youself bullies to get her way, im going to dispute.
Bottom line is:
you did not want to pay for product, and didn't.
I ate most the cost of your very expensive fillings!!!
Hence the reason you left your name off this nasty review.
