I booked Kenmure for our family business Christmas party. In a time of such uncertainty, Kenmure was incredibly professional and reliable to work with. It was difficult to find a venue that could host us safely during this time. Kenmure was able to host us with ample space to social distance yet still have the evening feel intimate and special. Steve, Josie and Lindsey are a dream to work with. They are professional, accommodating, and are always available to talk. We have heard rave reviews from our employees about the food and the bartender really made our night special with his witty banter and charming personality. With a diverse menu of opportunities for your occasion, Kenmure can't be passed up. We will be returning for many Christmas' to come! Thank you!

The staff members, including a special wedding planner, were superb to work with. Our guests raved about the food (filet mignon and salmon), and I heard some say they thought the shrimp cocktail was the best they had ever had. We felt the food and wine were extremely good values. They set the tables exactly as we wanted and made sure every detail was taken care of. They are skilled at working with local vendors such as our florist and the cake bakery—they all worked together to coordinate everything beautifully. Kenmure truly was a magical setting for our wedding!

I had my wedding reception here in March and I had a great experience! The event managers were very responsive and met with me multiple times to go over the food, decorating, schedule, etc. Any time I sent an email or called, I got a response right away which is so important when planning your wedding. I am vegetarian and was having entirely vegetarian food at the reception and the chef worked with me to provide excellent vegetarian dishes! In addition, the space where we held the reception was newly renovated and looks very modern and clean. The clubhouse itself has so much charm and my guests had a great time! Every detail was seen to and thought of before hand. I would highly recommend having any event (especially a reception) at Kenmure! As a side note, my sister got married and had her ceremony and reception at Kenmure 5 years ago and also had a great experience!

Absolutely perfect! My daughter's small intimate wedding was planned by necessity in four short weeks (as pre-COVID plans had to be abandoned). Steve, Josie and their team were amazing in every single way, helping to plan a beautiful, fun, picture perfect wedding reception in the newly renovated downstairs area of the clubhouse. Steve introduced us personally to those team members who then worked to make the event more than perfect, and he excelled in overseeing to make sure that every little detail is planned and handled perfectly. I've planned several weddings and receptions and this was by far the best location and best team to work with. The bride and groom and guests were made to feel as if they were the most important ever! Food was delicious, Steve helped keep the tempo going with service at just the right time, and many special touches made the day fabulous. Thank you Steve, Josie and team. We are so grateful!

Steve and the team at Kenmure made it so easy to plan our wedding- even through all of the changes we encountered due to COVID. Their venue is beautiful and newly updated, and we were so impressed with their communication, flexibility, and hospitality throughout the whole process. The day-of was totally stress free for us, as we knew that the great staff at Kenmure was on top of everything! Our guests are still raving about the delicious food, fabulous bar, and stellar service. We very highly recommend Kenmure!

I recently attended a wedding at Kenmure. The drive towards the mansion is so very cool. Even though We were only guests, me and my fiancé decided this is the venue for us. Food was excellent, service was great and look forward to returning. Anyone considering Kenmure go ahead and book it.

Kenmure was the perfect venue for our daughter's wedding reception! BJ was highly professional throughout the planning process, the night of the wedding and even afterward. She was a wealth of resources and easy to work with!
The staff was outstanding and so accommodating that evening. Nearly every guest commented on the delicious meal and the outstanding service! Kenmure and the staff truly met and exceeded all our expectations and provided the most memorable wedding reception of which our daughter and her husband had dreamed!

Mary helped us plan and execute our son's Rehearsal Dinner on May 25th, 2018. Mary was wonderful from start to finish, answering all our questions promptly and completely. Would highly recommend Kenmure as a Wedding and Special Event venue! Everything was perfect!

Our event was spectacular this was so great that I think people will talk about for a long time. Everything was more than I expected food, decor, service and do much more. The servers and bar tenders were excellent. Lastly Mary and BJ were awesome to work with.

Wonderful experience! The Staff were a dream come true and the venue couldn't have been more beautiful. Everything was handled in a professional manner, from vendor coordination to end of reception and send off.

From the very beginning stages of planning to our big day, BJ and the entire Kenmure staff were helpful, pleasant, and responsive. I had no worries or obstacles on my wedding day thanks to the organization of BJ and her staff. Every detail and request was addressed, and it showed! We also received numerous compliments after the wedding from friends and family about the food, venue, and scenery.

I can't think of anything that didn't go according to plan. BJ and Meagan and Chef were fabulous and the venue photographed beautifully. They accommodated all of our requests and the wait staff was helpful and smiling.

Our son's wedding was beyond all expectations...the food was fabulous...the staff worked over and above...everything was just beautiful.

Our daughter and her husband were very happy having their wedding at Kenmure. We all feel there was not a prettier place for this special event. BJ and Megan were the best! They helped take away any unnecessary stress so we could all concentrate on enjoying time with family and friends. The food was fabulous and all of the servers were the best!! Fred, our DJ, did a wonderful job and was very helpful with the music!

We loved our wedding at Kenmure! The event staff was great to work with and everyone there made our wedding an unbelievable experience.

The staff at Kenmure including BJ Kidd and Steve, the club manager were fantastic to work with. They offffered us numerous options and were flexible when we needed to make changes to menu or number of guests. The Charleston Room was the ideal choice for our banquet and band. The front Veranda offered a panoramic view of the golf course and surrounding mountains. The Sears Room was the ideal setting for a gorgeous and scrumptious buffet, and the beauty of the recently re-decorated dining room with two fireplaces for display of family pictures of our couple was just lovely. We would absolutely do everything about our daughter's wedding over again. It was just perfect...thanks to Kenmure's amazing staff and its great facility full of numerous options.

I can not say enough good things about my experience with the people at Kenmure Country Club. They went way beyond to make our rehearsal dinner superb. They were so easy to work with and made sure that all details were completed and that we were completely satisfied during all stages of the planning and during the event. The food was superb!!! I highly recommend the venture, the food, and the staff at Kenmure.

BJ and Sara were wonderful to work with. We wanted to sit 63 people in a room that accommodates around 56 people. She did it and still there was great flow in the room. Thank you, BJ!!!!

Also, we have received numerous comments from guests about the buffet. All of our guests loved the food! It was just marvelous.

BJ and the rest of the staff was incomparable. We had a plan in place for our wedding, and due to weather we had to change our plans. BJ was more than prepared with a backup plan that turned out to be better than we could have imagined. The food was fantastic, the staff accomodating, and the venue indescribable. I would highly recommend Kenmure and their great staff to anyone.

I had my wedding reception at Kenmure Country Club on May 2, 2015 and it was absolutely wonderful! Kenmure is such a beautiful location and made for a perfect reception space. We used all 3 rooms inside, as well as the large, southern front porch (my personal favorite space!) We had a large wedding and using all the space we did, Kenmure fit our guests perfectly. BJ and Sara were wonderful to work with and were very accommodating to all of my requests. We had special lighting, linens, etc. and they were very willing to make arrangements to ensure we got just what we wanted. On the day of, both Sara and BJ were on top of everything and the reception went so smoothly. I had so many guests tell me how great the service was from all of the staff and how well executed everything was. There wasn't one moment during the day that I was worried about anything. Additionally, the food was delicious! We had some special food requests and the chef was extremely accommodating in creating the menu that my husband and I wanted. Truly, all of the food was wonderful and the mac and cheese bar was a hit! I would definitely recommend this space for a wedding reception or any sort of special event. It is a beautiful venue and the staff is wonderful to work with. We couldn't have had a more perfect day!

Kenmure Country Club was absolutely PERFECT for our reception venue! The event planners/coordinators, BJ and Sarah were amazing to work with. They always answered any questions we had, and we're very flexible with our requests. A few days before the event we were able to drop everything off for the reception and BJ and Sarah set up everything just the way we wanted! It's hard not having a hand on things, especially with such an important thing like your wedding, but the staff at Kenmure madd it easy to put our minds at rest and focus on getting married!! Everything went perfectly at Kenmure and it has everything to do with the staff! The food was amazing as well. People are still telling us that it was the best food they have ever had at the wedding! Lastly, the views at Knemure make for amazing pictures and are quite easy on the eyes :) Love Kenmure!

Couldn't have been any better! BJ and her team did a wonderful job! We had a rather small and low cost budget but everything turned out fabulous!

A wedding venue three hours away from where I live was not something I , as MOB, wanted. The three months leading up to the wedding ( short engagement ) were, to say the least, filled with anxiety for me. I had not seen the venue nor had I met the event coordinators. Happily, and with much relief, everything changed when I met BJ and Sarah. They were receptive to my daughter's vision of what she wanted, gave valuable input when asked, without pushing their agenda., and I left feeling calm and confident that everything was in capable hands.

Then, the big day. Every detail was attended to including a waitstaff at the photography sight with a tray of ice cold water for the families. The food was beyond excellent. I received countless remarks of how tender the beef was and how it was the best they had ever had. The two varieties of salad also received rave reviews. Everything went smoothly without a single glitch. BJ had told me that all I needed to do was relax and enjoy. And that's what I did. Perfect .

Our wedding at Kenmure was beyond perfection! Kenmure is not only a beautiful place, with wonderful facilities in a traditional Southern-mountain atmosphere, but the organization of it was perfect. Planning a wedding from abroad can be very difficult, but BJ and Sara made the process very easy. They always answered my emails and calls and were nothing but helpful and kind through every situation.

On the day, our guests had an absolute blast! From the cocktail hour to the last dance, all our guests were raving about Kenmure and how lovely the day was. Every detail was remembered, and all our vendors found Kenmure a very easy place to work with.

The staff was incredibly friendly and polite. All of our friends and family complimented how friendly and attentive the staff was. And the food! I have never had such good wedding food, my groom went back two or three times. The buffet was wonderful, fresh, and delicious. The new chef was very easy to work.

My daughter's wedding reception will be talked about a long time due to the magnificent job of the Kenmure staff. B.J., Sarah, and the staff served us from the moment the bride arrived at 8:00 a.m. until our last guest left at 10:00 p.m. They take 'FULL-SERVICE' to a different level. The food was unbelievable and our guests continue to rave about their experience at Kenmure! THANK YOU for making our event a 'dream-come-true'!

My husband and I had our wedding ceremony on Kenmure’s outdoor patio under a tent and our reception in Kenmure’s Charleston ballroom. I can’t say enough good things about our experience with BJ Kidd, Sara Merkel and the Kenmure team. They were professional, always answered my questions, and they went out of their way to tailor a wedding package that met our budget, taste and vision. Our wedding was even better than I could have dreamed. First of all, the clubhouse and property is beautiful. The staff is so professional – from handling setup and breakdown, to decorating the entire reception with our décor, to valeting our guests up to the ceremony in a golf cart, to serving drinks on the porch immediately following the ceremony, to making sure my husband and I got to enjoy a private dinner in the bridal suite (complete with candles!) – they were just awesome and exceeded our expectations. We felt pampered the whole time. And the food! We chose a dinner buffet and Kenmure completely customized the menu for us. Our friends and family keep telling us how smoothly the ceremony and reception went, how great the staff was, and that Kenmure’s was some of the best food they’ve ever had. I highly recommend Kenmure to anyone looking for a beautiful Southern wedding.

Our wedding day was amazing. Kenmure is absolutely beautiful. BJ is a pleasure to work with and she is extremely knowledgeable and can help steer you in the right direction if you need it.

The staff was friendly and did everything!!! We literally dropped off our decorations with some instructions and a photo and they did it all. Everything was done exactly the way we wanted it!!!

The food was delicious and the service was amazing!!! They provided a lovely room for the bride to change in and even provided champagne and snacks for us.

Our wedding couldn't have been better thanks to BJ, Steve, Sarah and the amazing Kenmure waitstaff and Chefs.

This was our second wedding reception at Kenmure Country Club. Both times the service was excellent and the food was amazing. The golf course setting and views were absolutely beautiful. Would recommend this for all special occasions.

Kenmure Country Club and BJ Kidd did an excellent job with my rehearsal dinner. The service and food were out of this world. It was even better than we imagined!

BJ and Steve were wonderful in helping us coordinate our rehearsal dinner as well as our bridesmaids luncheon. The setting is perfect and their team went above and beyond to make sure that we were well taken care of. The food at the rehearsal dinner was exceptional and the service was wonderful. I would highly recommend kenmure as a destination for any wedding activities!

We loved everything about Kenmure from the Bridesmaids luncheon, golf, rental accommodations, to the Rehearsal Dinner. The only items I wish you could have offered were white folding chairs and round white to the floor tablecloths so that I did not have to bring them for the luncheon on the veranda. Many thanks

I looked at many sites for our wedding reception, but none compared to Kenmure. I always received a prompt response in communication which I cannot say was true for any other sites. BJ Kidd, the coordinator, made the process of planning the reception easy and stress free. Everything was taken care of and I did not have to worry about anything once the event started. The site was beautifully decorated and we are still talking about the quality of the food and cake (the cake tasting alone was amazing!) We had a guest who needed gluten free food and very professional staff made something special on the spot. I cannot say enough good things about Kenmure. I highly recommend it for any event!

We had our rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception all at Kenmure, and have absolutely nothing negative to say about them! As colleges seniors, we were out of town most of the year and didn't have much time to plan, but they made it super easy. They provided a planner (B.J. was amazing! Superwoman!), the wedding cake, all the food, champagne toasts, decorations, shuttle to and from parking lot for guests, tips, etc. all included in the original price. They weren't like the other venues we spoke to who charged you extra for everything. With so many things included, I only had to meet with her 3 times, once to go over plans, once for cake tasting, and the day before the wedding to go over details. Everything else we were able to do over email. B.J. was an absolute godsend.


The wedding weekend couldn't have gone smoother! So many guests told us that it was the best wedding they'd ever been to. The ceremony was beautiful, in a gorgeous and comfortable location. For the reception, everyone loved that they were able to mingle in many different places inside and out (The veranda was a favorite). The reception room was roomy and beautiful decorated. But our guests' favorite part was the food, it was delicious, hot, and there was plenty of it.


Kenmure really put a personal touch in everything, in the end I felt like they were more our friends than vendors. They even sent us off with the cutest picnic basket, filled with plates of food, cake, and a bottle of champagne. We loved Kenmure, and are so glad we chose the location for our wedding! Our daughter's wedding reception was held at Kenmure on 5/13/17 and it was absolutely perfect in every respect. B.J. Kidd was very efficient and accommodating and the entire staff was professional, friendly, courteous and attentive. The food was excellent, and the size of the venue was ideal for our approximate 170 guests and the band. Obviously, the surrounding area is gorgeous and provides a beautiful setting, and we were blessed to have lovely weather that evening. Steve Harbison, the G.M., checked on us throughout the evening to insure everything was satisfactory, which was impressive and appreciated. The size and spacing of the front porch, bar area and dining room were perfect for our event, and the acoustics in the dining area were great. I highly recommend Kenmure for this type of event, and we are already thinking about having my daughter's one year anniversary party there next year!!

BJ and Sara were amazing to work with throughout the entire planning process. On the day of, the entire staff was run like a well-oiled machine. As a nervous bride, my mind was at ease about the operational aspects of our ceremony and reception. They worked as a great team with our Wedding Planner. We loved everything about our experiences choosing Kenmure as our wedding venue. During the reception, Steve and the catering staff treated us and our guests exceptionally well. They were even thrown some curve balls due to things outside of their control that they were able to handle without us and our guests realizing they occurred. The Kenmure venue and scenery were picturesque for our big day and exactly what we were looking for. Cocktail hour on the front porch was amazing. We chose to get married "Lakeside" and loved the backdrop it provided for our ceremony. A huge thank you to BJ, Sara, Steve and the rest of their staff for all the hard work they put into our big day. We would recommend their services and the venue to anyone looking to host an event in the area.

Kenmure was a wonderful venue for our wedding reception. The venue is stunning on its own and the service was top notch. Kenmure provides just about everything in one fee, so it looks like a large cost but when you don't need to find 3 other vendors to provide services that you can get all with Kenmure it is absolutely worth it. They took care of everything I needed and made the reception run seamlessly. I highly recommend this venue.

Kenmure was absolutely BEAUTIFUL! Guests at our wedding were in awe of the spectacular views of the property and incredible attention to detail the staff provided to make everything perfect.

From the very beginning, BJ and Chef worked very closely with us to come up with a perfect vision for the big day. We were completely prepared for something not to go exactly as planned, but amazingly, nothing went awry!

The food was delicious, all of the staff were super friendly and courteous, every detail was taken care of, and BJ is awesome!! I cannot recommend this venue enough! Between the gorgeous pictures and perfect day, it could not have been better. Check them out - you won't regret it!

Couldn't have picked a better venue for our reception. Food and service and atmosphere were excellent. Staff was so helpful in being flexible and willing to accommodate all that we wanted to do. Will definitely use them for future events!

Everyone is so friendly and easy to work with and the food was amazing! It's such a beautiful venue and I'm so glad we chose it for our wedding and our reception! Our guests loved it and all had a great time!!

My husband and I live in Asheville and we searched for reception venues for weeks before coming upon Kenmure. We are both from Charleston, so the plantation feel (and history!) of the venue was just what we were looking for! We fell in love with the veranda and the beautiful setting. Not only was it the most gorgeous place we visited, it was also reasonably priced and they were SO accommodating! We loved working with BJ and all of the staff! BJ was always willing to meet with us whenever we wanted to stop by, and she had plenty of suggestions for us when we requested her advice. The Manager, Steve, always made sure to come say "hello" when we were visiting, and he was there the day before to make sure we had everything we needed.

On the day of the wedding, everything went so smoothly! The service was impeccable and the servers were very attentive! The food was out of this world and the atmosphere was exactly what we'd imagined! Every little detail was perfectly executed!

I would definitely recommend Kenmure as a wedding or event venue! They made our wedding day so special! We had multiple guests tell us it was the best wedding they'd been to, AND the best food! My dad even said he wanted to do it all over again for our 1 year anniversary! :) Look no further, Kenmure is the best venue in this area!

With BJ and her staff and the Kenmure Country Club, you will get very personalized service with great attention to detail. They were very accommodating and flexible with every detail and request we made. We were most pleased with their service.

Absolutely could not have been more pleased. We received RAVE reviews from all our friends and family. The food and bar service was exceptional!

Kenmure is a beautiful place to get married, stay and have your rehearsal dinner. The backdrop is wonderful and the staff is really great to work with. The food was excellent and the layout of the clubhouse is perfect for a medium to small wedding. We had 75 people at the wedding and reception and about 20 people at the rehearsal dinner. We had the rehearsal dinner outside on the patio Labor day weekend. The weather was perfect at night, a little warm during the day of our wedding but cooled off once the sun went down. There was a bit of confusion getting ready for the wedding with pricing and what was to be included, but once we settled on all of this it was fine. I would definitely use them again.
We stayed in a cottage on Kenmure Properties and the house was gorgeous. It was convenient being on site to have everything in one place to get ready for the wedding.

The only problem that we had was a slow response time in receiving responses to our emails the month prior to the wedding...the most critical time. That needs to be improved. B.J. was a pleasure to work with and very patient and kind but just needed to be quicker with responses to emails sometimes. She had many good suggestions and never rushed us in our decisions. Overall the wedding was fabulous with attention to detail. The food was amazing, the best wedding meal I have ever had....including my own daughter's wedding at The Crest Center in Asheville. Many good compliments. Hats off to the chef!

BJ and her team were a little slow on communication response time however it did come out wonderfully. During our wedding weekend it poured constantly and had to make a lot of changes and Kenmure didn't even threat and put everything together in a new location like that one was it all along. Besides that the food was so yummy! Plus they had a great staff the entire weekend!! Overall I would of choose Kenmure again!

Kenmure is a beautiful venue for a wedding. A couple good locations for ceremony. Overall had a good experience. Day of the wedding went off pretty well - site was set up beautifully, food was excellent, foodservice was great, the coordinator did a good job making sure everything worked together. One complaint day of was that the sound system in the reception room had a bad short in it - constantly cutting in and out.

The chef was rude and unprofessional throughout the entire process. He was put off that we were vegetarians, and didn't want to work with us to create a suitable menu. The website says "... our Executive Chefs would love to work together with you to design a package perfect for your ... day." We didn't get that impression. Despite this, the food turned out excellent, so he's obviously good - just not fun to work with.

In contrast, the wedding coordinator was very pleasant to work with. She had lots of good ideas (even some we didn't like at first but that turned out to be great) and was willing to go out of her way for us.

Beautiful site. Wait staff wonderful. Totally wonderful experience.

Catering service on wedding day was excellent, deciding on menu with chef was unpleasant, event coordinator was friendly to work with and accommodating, AV system did not function properly at reception which was a major problem, the venue was beautiful and very accommodating for wedding day preparation
