If I could go back and eat instead of taking sunset photos I would do it in a heart beat because my husband and I maybe took 2 or 3 bites before we were doing something again and the bites that we took were amazing!! Don't look any further, this company does great service, makes great food and they are very affordable. The only bad thing I would say is they took plates away very quickly, my friend got up to do something and when she came back her plate was gone. Otherwise everything was great! Thank you so much again Keith & Miga! -

Catering will be one of your biggest wedding expenses - pick Keneke's! Not only do they offer incredible value, they were very flexible with all of our requests such as moving the shave ice machine halfway through, adding a vegetarian main course to the menu, and malasadas! Miga was amazing! Our guests raved about the food, and the owner of the company came to our wedding and served shave ice. -

Amazing Catering Service
Keneke's was amazing! Both Keith and Miga made booking process super smooth. We were lucky enough to be able to fly to O'ahu and do our tasting prior to the big day. Everything was delicious and every ingredients were locally sourced. We had trouble picking the menu items because we wanted everything! An added bonus is that Keneke's provide all the glassware, flatware and dinnerware so we didn't have to spend the extra budget renting them out. The package was such a great deal and all of out guests thought everything served was super delicious. Great Hawaiian food fitted for an island wedding. The servers were also thoughtful enough to make dinner plates for us and ensure that we were fed. We couldn't recommend Keneke's enough! -

Planning a destination wedding can be difficult at times since you have to blindly trust your vendors and communication is huge. Keneke's did an amazing job! They were always quick to respond to emails, they were on time and served the best food for our wedding day! They made us feel like family. We had so many compliments from guests afterwards on their tasty food. Would recommend them to anyone! -

We hired Keneke's as our caterer for our wedding and the food came out delicious! We had a mix of vegan/vegetarian/gluten free people and everyone was able to eat. Keneke's were able to customize their menu for you. We added the vegetarian Thai curry - so ono. They supplied the glass plates, water goblets and cutlery. They hand passed around puppy during happy hour. They served the food buffet style (you can pay more to have a seated dinner service) and passed out the cake. They were easy to work with, professional, affordable and their food was a huge hit. Definitely contact them to do a tasting for your wedding or other events. Or just stop by their restaurant for their famous plate lunch -

I was told that they arrived on time and set-up everything as planned, I didn't even know or think about them entering as they didn't interfere with any of the wedding traditions going on. Next thing I knew was being served by very friendly girls, (Keneke's Staff that was included for serving us) The food was so delicious and tasty! The Sweet and Sour Pork was very tender and I could not get enough of the Teri Chicken! Thank you so very much! -
Michelle Sent on 04/08/2018My husband and I hired Keneke’s for our wedding at the suggestion of our wedding coordinator. We wanted a buffet-style dinner so that our guests could try a variety of foods that captured the “flavors” of the island. Simply stated, the choice was totally on-point. The food was awesome (everyone said how much the loved it and not a single complaint), the staff was amazing, they provided the plates/cutlery/glasses/napkins, and it was very reasonably priced. There were enough left-overs for over 10 of us to have multiple meals and it still tasted great. Favorites of the guests included the Kalua Pig, poke, and mashed purple sweet potato. Being a Vegan they made a special “tofu” tower especially for me complete with tofu and fresh veggies. It was yummy and literally fresh out of the oven (they made it back and the restaurant and had someone personally drive it over to the estate where we had our wedding ). Overall, above and beyond service with great food. You won’t be disappointed if you choose them.

Sarah Sent on 04/04/2018Keith and his team catered our wedding this past weekend. Communication leading up to the event was very speedy and professional and the prices were more than reasonable. There was truly something for everyone even if some of our out-of-town guests were a little apprehensive of Hawaiian food. Some of our guests mentioned to us that they talked to Keith with questions about the food preparation (allergies and just general curiosity) and he was more than accommodating.
I was especially amazed at how attentive Keith and his staff were to me and my new husband. Keith personally fixed up full plates (including pupus) for us without having to be asked, and also made sure to put covers on our plates every time we stepped away from the table so that the bugs couldn't get to our food. The wait staff were also very prompt with drinks etc. All in all a great experience and we hope to be able to work with Keneke's again! -

As a company they exceeded every expectation that we had and it was the best food that my we had ever tasted. When we talk to guests that attended our reception all they seem to remember is how amazing the food was. Its hard to pin point my personal favorite because it was all very delicious. My husband loved the coconut shrimp and island stir fried noodles. We loved the farm to table freshness. We toured the chefs restaurant and saw where all our vegetables came from and loved the fresh local sustainable approach that Hawaiian Fresh Farms follows. And the set up and placements made for an even more elegant feel and look. We highly recommend Keneke's for all your catering needs. You are in good hands with their highly capable team. -

The buffet looked great, and it always looked fresh and full of such delicious food! My guests were going on about how yummy everything was! And Keneke's don't try to nickle and dime you, or rip you off in ANY way!!! They were so helpful, provided the silverware and dishes with the buffet, and they included staff in the price, what an amazing deal for all that really great food!! I will be recommending Keneke's to EVERYONE I know!!!!

For our low key wedding of 40 Keneke's was perfect! There was an abundance of mouthwatering choices that suited every's guests palette and a coconut curry was supplied for one of our vegan guests. We couldn't fault their service. All serving staff was attentive and happy to be a part of our day. We would use Keneke's again in a heartbeat. Amazing value in all aspects. -

Natalie Sent on 06/01/2018Hands down, best wedding food ever! We did a tasting with Keith at his restaurant in Punaluu and were blown away by the food. It was the only tasting we did because we knew nothing else could top it. Bonus, the catering is incredibly reasonable! Keith was extremely friendly and offered some great suggestions. I love that they use herbs and greens from their farm! For pupus, I highly suggest the poke and the coconut shrimp. For mains, the mashed Okinawan sweet potatoes and the kalua pork are bomb! Ask Keith to make you his special BBQ sauce to go with the pork! So ono. You really can't go wrong with any of their food...it's all that good. Our guests were stoked and said it was the best wedding food they ever had. We went home with a bunch of leftovers so it was great to enjoy the meal a second time!
The staff were professional and helpful. They made sure we (the bride and groom) were given food during the cocktail hour and dinner. They hand passed the pupus and cleaned up at the end of the night. They even sliced our Ted's pies for us for dessert! We used their clear square plates, basic silverware and water goblets. Loved the way the clear plates looked with our teak dining table! We didn't use their napkins but they can also provide those and set them around the plates for you. One thing to note, they are slow to respond and it can be tough to get in touch with them. Just have some patience and know they will deliver on the wedding day! -

They have a great staff and provide glassware and dinnerware and the food is grilled on site. The main chef even came around and asked how the food was. The mango chicken was amazing as well as the nalo green salad with the papaya seed dressing. great for those looking to serve a smaller party save a buck but still have amazing tasting food.

We are so happy that we booked Keneke’s Catering for our wedding. We were hesitant at first because we saw various reviews regarding their food vs. actually working with them after you book. But, we are so glad our wedding planner recommended them to us.
On their website, they have different packages you can choose from depending on what you want. We had 2 carving stations, 4 choices of pupus, 2 meat choices, and 1 seafood choice. They provide the utensils, water goblets, and plates also. You definitely get the most out of your money; the prices are absolutely fair.
I would definitely say that their responsiveness was lacking throughout our planning process. But when it was crunch time, everything came together. We were able to schedule a complimentary tasting at the restaurant with the owner, Keith, who is one of the nicest people ever. During our tasting, they brought out some food that we didn’t originally request—it was better than what we requested, and we ended up changing our entire menu!
The food was amazing and everyone enjoyed it. Even with the final head count + vendors, we still had a ton of leftovers (mostly the carbs). But everyone loved our food!

They were very accommodating with our requests and flexible with our changes in the menu. The only thing that worried me during the process was the wait for his response via email and phone calls. There were some delays, but nonetheless they responded. I have heard about response time and it worried me in the beginning but I trusted him and his crew and they didn't disappoint. Everything was well worth it and Keith will work with your budget - I will definitely be calling them again for future events. Thank you Keith and crew!!! -

It was hard to get in contact with them, but on the day they were great. I would not suggest adding on the Mac and cheese because it was very plain, but everything else like kalua pig and chicken was awesome. Staff was very friendly and Keith was always checking on us to make sure we had enough to eat, -

Thank you so much to Kristina with Keneke's who helped us organize a wonderful dinner buffet for my sister-in-law's wedding. The reception would not have gone as smoothly as it did if it weren't for you and your fabulous staff! I would recommend Keneke's for any budget you're on. They have many different options, and were flexible with the menu choices based on our guests' dietary restrictions. Communicating with Kristina leading up to the event went smoothly despite her busy schedule! On the day of, her staff was so so helpful. They went above and beyond to help us set up the favors and centerpieces. Their input was SO appreciated! We were so lucky to have Keneke's as our caterer. Our guests enjoyed your service too. Can't wait to work with you again! -

We did a destination wedding and our wedding planner recommended Keneke's to us saying they would give us an authentic taste of Hawaiian food and grew their veggies locally on their farm. I will say they are very difficult to get ahold of, expect to call them many times and email them without response. It was just 10 days before our wedding before we were able to confirm with them our menu and head count! BUT they did not disappoint. Work with Miga their person in charge of catering. We found her responsive. They were running a bit late on our wedding day and our officiant informed us they wanted to start dinner 30 min later than we had planned. For us we were able to shift our timeline back and it probably started 20 min later than expected. The staff was professional, they were dressed in all black and we did h'ordeurves which were handed out at the cocktail hour and then a buffet style dinner. We switched out one of the meats for a salad and they served us as the bride and groom but everyone else got up and did self serve at the buffet. I was slightly nervous there would not be enough food and wondered if I should order extra, but there were plenty of leftovers and they kindly bagged them up for us! The pupus (appetizers) were amazing! They had poke and octopus along with teriyaki beef and grilled pineapple skewers! They even saved us a plate of them as we didn't have time to eat any during the cocktail hour!! Some of the best things about Keneke's was that they provided all of the plates, silverware and water goblets needed. We rented high ball glasses for booze which was only about a $1/glass. Also included in their price was cake cutting and serving and napkin folding! They also did half price for vendors included in our headcount. Overall I was very happy with their service and price and their thoughtful touches! I recommend them if you want something local and authentic! -

Cyndi Sent on 06/05/2012Keith is very laid back cool guy so our deposit was hand written on a piece of paper he tore off of a menu choices. We stayed at his Punaluu location after we tried the food just talking story with him and got a tour of his on site wedding venue. The food was good except for the shrimp...-_-...it was mushy. So, I don't suggest the shrimp with pineapple citrus topping.
